  4. The fans aren't interested because both workers are classes as unimportant. Even if I know I'm going to a B show I'm not going to be overly thrilled about seeing 2 'nobodies' wrestle each other. So the low ratings are expected. The upside to this is that in the grand scheme of things your B show ratings aren't important. In my experience B shows are used to get guys to work and an extra income source. I may be wrong but I don't believe that B shows will affect your company size and company pop ratings (at least if they do it's negligible). So carry on. They may not rate highly and fans may not appreciate it but the low ratings and unimportant matches won't hurt you aslong as they're kept on your B shows.
  5. Keep the team: Make the storyline compelling with what you have and build credible stars. No WWF stars can defect to the Alliance and vice versa with the only exceptions being Eddie Guerrero and Chris Jericho. Give the people what they want: People's Champion vs People's Champion. Rock vs DDP. Make it happen at one of the big 4 PPV's in the main event. Doesn't work for me, brother: Should you still be playing when Hogan's contract comes up, you still can't book Austin vs Hogan. Never gonna happen. Was never meant to be. Credibility is key: Booker T, Rob Van Dam, DDP. One of them must be both WCW and WWF champion at the same time and hold them both for at least 2 months. The Match of the Century: This is Sport's Entertainment, dammit! Paul Heyman vs Vince McMahon should happen and it should be at least the semi-main event of one of your PPV's. There's some for a start if you like...
  6. <div style="padding: 10px; border: 10px solid #261930; margin:10px;background: #bb8be0; max-width:70%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";"> Hello and welcome to the second episode of our special edition series of the Behind The Curtain Podcast with me, Jo-Ro. We're continuing our series of recapping USPW and this week is their second episode of American Wrestling in 2020.. The show was presented from Grand Rapids, Michigan in front of a crowd of 11,128 with early estimates suggesting that viewing figures on Reverie were up from last week to about 10.6million viewers. Let's jump in. Segment 1: Alicia Strong vs Sara Marie We were off to the races immediately this week with the #1 contender's match for the Women's title kicking off the show in what was a solid show opener but these two women have definitely had better matches in the past. It was a fairly even encounter for the most part that went just shy of 12 minutes with the finish coming after both women continued their brawl on the outside and ignoring the referee's 10 count. A double count-out draw is a slight cop-out but it shows that both competitors wanted to win the match and earn the title shot. Would've been better with a decisive finish however... (63) Segment 2: The two continued to ignore the bell and brawl away on the outside. Eventually their respective affiliates entered the fray with Gloria and King getting there first but Melody swiftly followed and despite being outnumbered her fire held off The Triumvirate. The feud rolls on and we'd have to wait to see what this meant for the title picture. (59) Segment 3: Turk Trenneman vs Petr Novak The second match of the night and a continuation of the feud between The Texas Express and The Cold Warriors. The poorest (and shortest at just over 5-minutes) match of the night, it failed to excite the crowd during its brief time and the interference from Krusher Karloff brought this to a DQ ending. (49) Segment 4: Our second post-match brawl of the evening as the veteran duo beatdown the youngster. Cooper Christie was quick to aid his partner and both teams brawled and fought to the backstage area before agents split them up. The post-match shenanigans were slightly more exciting than the match but much the same as last week. (55) Segment 5: We then jump to a different area backstage where we had a rare appearance from Danny Jillefski as he was interviewing Raven Robinson and Trent Schaffer. A promo in the same vein as last week with both arrogantly vowing to soon be at the top of their respective divisions in the company. Raven also took time to hype her match with Charity Sweet which would be up next. A solid promo and, as said before, these 2 are a delightful pairing. (67) Segment 6: Charity Sweet vs Raven Robinson These 2 were given just shy of 12-minutes to do their thing in the ring and it was a decent TV match. Charity is just 29 and is already a great talent who's only going to improve. I've always had a soft spot for Raven through our years together and she's an incredibly talented veteran of the ring and both women put on a good display while holding something back for possible matches. Trent Schaffer got involved in the finish (He and Raven appear to be 'managing' each other) when he pulled on the foot of Charity as she hit the rope and tripped her. This gave Robinson enough time to capitalise, lock in her Night Crawler submission and pick up the win. (60) Segment 7: Post-match shenanigans appeared to be the bread and butter of this evening. Schaffer and Robinson celebrate her cheap victory for a bit before we get a strong ovation from the crowd and Bulldozer Brandon stormed his way to the ring. Raven and Trent quickly fled the ring before any fists could be thrown and we saw Smith help up Sweet before calling out and smack talking the terrible twosome. An interesting potential pairing of the Bulldozer and Charity and there are some interesting possibilities opening up in this rivalry with some new life being breathed into it. Could we be getting a mixed tag team match in the future? (69) Segment 8: Kirk Jameson vs Casey Valentine The in-ring action continued as two of the best in-ring workers in the company locked horns. A good match was had here that would likely have been better received by the crowd if they were more familiar with 'The Marksman' but that's the way of USPW just now. Popularity is king and the more over you are the better your stuff will be received. At least by the common fan anyway. Casey picked up the win in 11-minutes and I'd happily watch these two go at it several times over. It's just a shame the fans weren't as responsive. (55) Segment 9: After the match, we were treated to a video package that was all about Nicky Champion that instantly caught the fans attention. Mr USPW should be Hawkeye's nickname really. It recapped the history of Champion in USPW and his recent big loss to Frehley at Thanksgiving Thunder that has resulted in his absence for the past 2 months but the package gave fans hope as it showed Champion working out and training for his return to the ring with a few words from the man himself. "I didn't give up. I just needed time. Frehley, you should fear me. I'll see you soon!". USPW produced a great package here that recapped a story and keeps Champion fresh in our minds with the anticipation building up to his eventual return. (87) Segment 10: After the commercial break we're in the locker room of The Business where it's a very casual feeling in the room. Money has some words with Whitlock and provides him with a little pep talk to steel him for the main event tonight vs Running Wolf. Charlie Thatcher offers his time and said he'll be ringside tonight for Whitlock during the match. Money looked unsure (as only he can) but concurred. A nice little segment reminding fans of the events to come and it showed the slight air of fear and doubt that Rich Money has towards Wolf which is vital in presenting your potential challenger as a worthy foe. (68) Segment 11: American Gold vs Shockwave We then jump from 3 good to great segments and vignettes to a short 6-minute TV match in which Shockwave picked up the win vs Chamberlain and English. They are a young and talented duo but this was never in doubt to anyone watching at home or in the arena and the tag team champions didn't receive air time this week or last but we can see that Shockwave are gearing up for another shot at the regaining their titles and they looked very strong here. (53) Segment 12: We then cut to a pre-tape promo from Roger Cage in his home with the National title adorned over his shoulder. He claimed he was healing up his hurt knee after last week's beatdown by The Olympus Order but assured us all he'll be back next week in some capacity and that this feud with Zeus will be soon put to bed. A decent but fairly generic promo from Cage who can do better but we know that he tends to feed well off a live crowd. (61) Segment 13: Mick Muscles vs Rick Law We were then treated to a fairly rare appearance from Mick Muscles in action as a muscle-bound roadblock to Rick Law. Not the best match of the night from an in-ring standpoint but solid entertainment and Mick can still provide a service to the company. Frehley made his presence known but Law didn't fall victim to that trick as most babyfaces do as he kicked out of a cheap roll-up and won the match with his Squad Car Slam as Frehley restrained himself. Good fun. (66) Segment 14: Frehley continued to threaten stepping into the ring as Law was fired up and inviting him in and the crowd were eating it up. Frehley teased a physical altercation hopping up to the ring and loitering by the ropes but hopped back down. Then we were treated to the debut of former IPW champion and alumni Lil Henry as he seemingly appeared from nowhere and absolutely clobbered Law. Most fans will be unfamiliar with Henry but they were certainly impressed by the size of the bulky big heavyweight and he'll slot in nicely in the land of giants but should certainly stand out given his clear affiliation with The Dark Destroyer. The idea of Frehley needing muscle/a bodyguard is probably laughable but it provides another blockade for Champion in his return and puts a wall between Law and Frehley from getting physical until their inevitable encounter at the next Special Event. A good segment and an emphatic debut in the best angle of the night. (73) Segment 15: We cut from the impressive debut appearance to Running Wolf backstage cutting a promo. He does a solid job of hyping his opponent in Whitlock and The Business as a whole but showed some strong babyface fire and set up the main event nicely. A good promo from Wolf. (72) Segment 16: Running Wolf vs Sterling Whitlock The match of the night went a little over 10 minutes and was a good TV main event. A strong showcase for both talents with some decent in-ring action and outside shenanigans involving Thatcher. Thatcher was determined to make good on his word of looking out for Money's protegé but instead ended up costing his Business associate the match and ate a stiff clothesline from Wolf for his troubles as the babyface won this one clean and closed out the show with a mini-celebration on the ramp for the fans. No post-match shenanigans. (70) And that was American Wrestling. We'll give it a 66 rating much like last week. Another okay but unspectacular show that pushed along some stories and showcased some talent but failed to really capture any of that true USPW magic aside from the Champion vignette. It seems a lot like not enough of the ongoing storylines are 'hot' enough to gather the attention and notoriety they require to make USPW 'must-see' TV and they could be suffering from their bloated roster. Adding talent isn't going to make this issue any easier unless we start seeing some departures or a second TV show as it's on good authority that Lil Henry is only the first of a number of recent signings to the big juggernaut. Let's see what next week has in store for us. Til next time friends, I'm Jo-Ro. </div>

Attendance: 1,000 (Sell out!) Show Rating: 42 <hr color = black> "Free Bird" plays out and begins to slowly fill the air of the Fairgrounds. As he has done for the past few shows since his arrival, Sam Strong calmly walked into view and flashed a big grin at those in attendance and welcomes the loyal USPW fanbase to another event. Strong hypes up the events to come this evening, puts over the roster and gets the fans in an optimistic and buoyant mood to kick off the evening. Rating: 59 <div style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(0,0,0);"></div> Prince Adam vs T-Rex No Disqualifications! These two behemoths first crossed each other's paths back in December when Adam confronted the 'Jurassic Power' and looked to make an impact in USPW. This match was an all-out brawl much like their previous encounter but with no disqualifications this time around. The match immediately went to the floor as both brutes brawled around The Sweat Box and it was a great fight to kick off the night with each man taking brutal amounts of punishment in what was only a less than 5-minute match. The finish came when Adam, who had put a hurting on Rex's knee throughout leaving the powerhouse hobbling, hoisted T-Rex onto his shoulders in an attempt to lock in The Rack but Rex locked an arm around the neck of Adam and essentially kept yanking on it and rag dolling the youngsters head around until he was put back down. Adam stumbled and fell to the floor by the corner leaving T-Rex the chance to propel himself off the turnbuckle for an emphatic Jurassic Crush (Vader Bomb) and flatten Adam out for the 1-2-3. Winner: T-Rex Rating: 26 <div style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(0,0,0);"></div> Captain USA & Des Davids vs The Other Axis of Evil Des Davids was impressive enough in his debut last month that Captain USA wanted to partner with the young rookie for this match against a long time rival and the protége of his partner. The tag team match a shade shy of 8 minutes and it still went through peaks and troughs of momentum. USA & Sheik traded blows for a bit and the crowd never seems to tire of these two locking horns but the brunt of the match was heavily carried by the younger competitors. USA took quite the beating but managed to reach Davids for the hot-tag who fired up and went to work on the heels. Davids managed to tag USA back in who planted West with his Hail To The Chief and gets his win back from January's singles affair. Winner: Captain USA & Des Davids Rating: 41 <div style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(0,0,0);"></div> Ernest Riggs vs Timothy Smalls Two products of the USPW Training Camp were given close to 7 minutes here to show what they can and bounce back from their respective debut defeats at USPW Red, White & Blue! Both rookies are young and impactful wrestlers and provided a change of pace from the usual heavyweight fare. Riggs picked up the victory with his, appropriately named, Winning Kick. Winner: Ernest Riggs Rating: 12 <div style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(0,0,0);"></div> CJ Funk vs Puerto Rican Power CJ Funk is another graduate from the USPW Training Camp while Power has made his presence felt in the company and is undefeated so far after sending Mick Muscles through the door and out of the company. Everyone knew what was going to happen but it was still an impressive, powerful display from Power who won via his Atomic Full Nelson. Winner: Puerto Rican Power Rating: 8 <div style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(0,0,0);"></div> (Post-Match Segment) Power celebrates another emphatic win for the USPW faithful when he is taken down by the equally massive Java. Java is like a man possessed and seems intent on severely hurting Power after taking out his ex-partner last month. Power attempts to rally and fight back but to no avail as Java simply lays in heavy shot after heavy shot eventually drawing blood from Power. There appeared to be no motive for Java aside from causing pain and boy did he as Power hobbled from the ring. Rating: 45 <div style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(0,0,0);"></div> Giant Redwood vs Tom E. Hawk w/Emma Chase Redwood has had a severe issue with Hawk ever since he lost in January to qualify for the RCI and the bearded behemoth has been severely irritated since. 19 years, 200lbs and 5 inches separate these two physically but between singles and team-based action, 3 victories separate them all in favour of Hawk. The two traded clubbing blows and heavy slams and for the most part it looked like the young powerhouse might have the number of the giant again but everyone was taken by surprise by the following turn of events. An altercation in the corner resulted in the referee being knocked to the floor. Emma Chase entered the ring but as Hawk hoisted Redwood onto his shoulders for a Samoan drop she approached her 'client' and low-blowed him with a forceful kick that brought Hawk to his knees. The crowd were as stunned as Hawk while Chase walked away to a chorus of 'boos'. This was all it took for Redwood to turn the tide, bounce off the ropes and crush Hawk with his standing splash as the ref came to and counted to 3. Winner: Giant Redwood Rating: 29 <div style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(0,0,0);"></div> The Hillbillies [vs] The Ring Generals The Hillbillies entered the hall and ring with their newly won titles held aloft as they were met with cheers from the faithful USPW fans who still couldn't believe they were champions again. Before they could say anything they were interrupted by the hottest tag team on the independent scene at the moment, The Ring Generals, who have recently made their presence felt in the other NAWC affiliates. Al & Pete welcomed the challenge but may have regretted it as they were caught unawares. Statler & Waldorf, both only 20 years of age still, put on a clinic in working a body part and taking apart an opponent. The young duo made the USPW Tag champs look inept and ill-prepared for a little shy of 8 minutes before choosing to both leave the ring and walk away but not before they could be heard saying 'That's a warning. We'll be back next month for the titles!'. They continued to walk through the curtain leaving referee Robbie Sanchez no option but to count to 10 and end the match. Winners: The Hillbillies via count-out Rating: 23 <div style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(0,0,0);"></div> Shades McGinty vs Darryl Devine vs Danny Rushmore #1 Contender's match for National Title There's been fierce competitiveness and fire building between these 3 at a slow burn for the past 3 months but it's mainly revolved around Darryl Devine. Devine had his title match vs Bloodstone ended for him via referee stoppage in December. He then beat Rushmore to qualify for the RCI but lost last month to McGinty with a Rushmore interference to boot. It was the longest match of the night clocking in at just over 15 minutes and Rushmore was the centre of attention putting a lot of hurt on both McGinty and Devine throughout. The finish came as a result of Devine playing possum in the corner. Rushmore hoisted a dazed McGinty up to his feet, bounced off the rope and went for his running boot finish but McGinty ducked and Devine pulled down the top rope as Rushmore's running momentum sent him tumbling over the rope to the floor. The Mighty Fine one then superkicked McGinty and hopped up to the turnbuckle before flying through the air for his Devine Dream Drop and the 3 count! Winner: Darryl Devine Rating: 33 <div style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(0,0,0);"></div> Corporal Doom © vs Whistler USPW Title Match Whistler came to help USA and Hawk last month in 6 man tag action and ended up pinning the company champion. Doom vowed revenge and put his title up for grabs as bait. Whistler entered with old glory raised in the air with one hand and his NYCW Tag title in the other as the crowd sounded their approval of the Patriot. The match would never win any match of the year honours, with the combined age of both men hitting 92, but in terms of entertainment it certainly fit the bill and the two worked a classic old-school good guy vs bad guy brawl. Doom put a beatdown on Whistler, Whistler rallied back and Doom would cut it off. Rinse and repeat for 10 minutes but the crowd ate it up. Whistler built up momentum as the match reached its climax and clobbered Doom with a few brutal-looking Lariats. Doom looked out of it but ducked the third lariat and snatched on a standing variation of his Corporal Punishment sleeper hold and snatched it on tight with all he had. The two stumbled about the ring as Whistler looked for the ropes. He reached on and the ref began the 5 count to break the hold. Doom yanked and pulled on Whistler throughout, since he had no intention of letting go, who let go of the ropes on the count of 4 as they stumbled to the centre of the ring with Whistler slowly fading. He held on and fought valiantly but could find no escape and eventually tapped out. Winners: Corporal Doom Rating: 40 <div style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(0,0,0);"></div> (Post-Match Segment) Doom had successfully made his first defence but simply refused to break the hold and batted the ref away who tried to intervene. The crowd 'popped' when Captain USA began making his way to the ring looking to make the save and he did as he commenced clubbing Doom and slapping on a beatdown of his own but it was quickly cut short as Bubba West attacked USA and put some heavy boots into the Captain, clearly still incensed at being pinned by him earlier. Doom eventually pulled him away and the two left with Doom's title held aloft as the patriotic pair lay broken and hurt in the middle of the ring to close the show. Rating: 46 End Show </div>

  12. The second episode of American Wrestling in this new decade is presented live to the world from Grand Rapids, Michigan this Wednesday night with what's to be another excellent show in store. Alicia Strongs Muscle Monsters continued to prove themselves last week in their victory and now it's the turn of the former seven-time USPW Women's Champion to prove herself as she goes one on one with Sara Marie in a Number One Contenders Match for the Women's Title. We never saw champion Jaime Quine last week but with the result of this match directly affecting the champion, one has to wonder if she'll appear. Strong & Marie have been fighting along with their respective affiliates in the form of The Muscle Monsters and Melody, respectively, but the stakes haven't been this high yet. Raven Robinson, alongside Trent Schaffer, last week vowed to reach the top of the food chain again in USPW but she'll have her work cut out for her when she goes one-on-one with Charity Sweet. We'll also have one half of each of The Cold Warriors and The Texas Express in singles action as their rivalry continues to build. Elsewhere on the show Casey Valentine and Kirk Jameson will face off as will Rick Law and Mick Muscles. Law seems intent on getting a rematch with Steve Frehley which 'The Dark Destroyer' turned down last week so, at least for the moment, Law will have to be content with going up against Mighty Mick for now. In the aftermath of last week's main event and the post-match shenanigans that ensued, Running Wolf will go one-on-one with Sterling Whitlock in a bid to gain a measure of revenge as well as continuing to prove he deserves another shot at Rich Money's World Championship. It's sure to be another night of can't miss action. We'll see you there. Announced Match Card

Major news in the wrestling world kicked off the new decade with the announcement of three new bookers taking charge of the three biggest companies in North America one of whom being Alicia Strong who is now running the show at USPW. So with Strong running the show, like her father in years in previous, and USPW hosting the only women's division of the big three, I decided that we should do a weekly recap of the ongoings at USPW's American Wrestling. Let's dive into the first episode of Strongs tenure in charge. The first episode of American Wrestling of the new decade came from The Dust Bowl in Tennessee. A famous USPW hotbed. The show apparently drew 13,439 fans with early estimations suggesting that the show was watched by about 10.5million subscribers on Reverie!. Segment 1: The show opened with Rich Money and The Business occupying the ring and Rich cutting a promo gloating about his title defence at Made In America! Running Wolf interrupts, demanded another shot and they decided to do a 3v3 in the main event with Wolf needing to find partners. A fine start to the show. Rich is money (pun intended) on the mic and Wolf is improving with the more time he gets. The rest of the group were just there but that's been the case for the past 12 months with The Business. (69) Segment 2: Roger Cage vs Funky Fedora The opening match of the night went a shade over 11 minutes and was a below-average TV match. The match went too long and if it had been a few minutes shorter it probably would have been better received. Fedora has a bright future in the business but it's easy to forget that he's only 21. Eventually, his ring work will match his natural charisma and he'll come close to a total package. This was a good showcase match and Cage got the win without any shenanigans. (53) Segment 3: Cage celebrates when Zeus, Bash Street and Valhalla (The Olympus Order) appeared with the post-match beatdown. It was your average post-match affair with Cage limping out of the ring on a hobbled knee. (50) Segment 4: The Muscle Monsters vs The Bombshells A lot of young and inexperienced talent on display here from the Women's Division but it's great that the company aren't scared to give them screen time to allow them to improve. It's just a pity the match didn't stick with the crowd. Glorious Gloria & Juliette King picked up the win in just under 7 minutes to keep Strong's menacing back-up looking suitably menacing. (28) Segment 5: We then jump backstage to Trent Schaffer and Raven Robinson cutting a promo together in the aftermath of Schaffer's sneaky victory over Bulldozer Brandon Smith at the PPV. Raven did more of the talking here and swore to top the Women's Division again soon. These two are excellent together and both prop each other up nicely to keep each other relevant which can only be a good thing in a company as populated as USPW. (70) Segment 6: Cooper Christie vs Lawrence Gumble Gumble was former TCW graduate and current Independent talent Quinten Queen with a silly name... if you can get sillier than Quinten Queen, no offence Quinten. The Texas Express has been making slow gains over the past 20 months in USPW but they've been looking more sure of themselves in recent times and I'm guessing a bigger push is coming. Christie, with Trenneman at ringside, crumpled Gumble in three minutes in a typically underwhelming squash but he looked impressive throughout (23) Segment 7: Then we moved onto our second post-match beatdown of the evening as The Cold Warriors, Karloff & Novak, arrived ringside, blindsided Trennenman and put the boots to Christie. The babyfaces attempted to fight off the evil Russians but the damage had been done. Nothing special here to report and I would assume this is the match-up for the upcoming Pay Per View of the old guard and the hot new team. (53) Segment 8: Then the cameras cut backstage where we saw Running Wolf roaming the area and stopping when he found Natural Storm. Of course Rayne and Howard agreed to be numbers 2 & 3 in the main event because they're good guys and want to put a hurt on bad guys. The segment was good and Natural Storm are just effortlessly cool and they'll be sure to hold up more than their share of the work in what could end up a plodding main event. (75) Segment 9: The segment then hyped up the next video package which was a sort of recap and hype video for Pariah who is currently one of the hottest things in the company let alone the Women's Division. It still seems completely surreal that this former FBI agent who outed herself after the infamous 'Operation Lullaby' has in a year become one of the biggest names in American wrestling and it started as a 'nudge nudge wink wink' situation for USPW laughing at SWF. The package was nicely produced and it was interrupted by Jillian Jarvis vowing to cut short Pariah's swift rise through the division. Short and to the point which suits Jarvis perfectly. (62) Segment 10: Wendy Anderson vs 'The Iron Lady' Jillian Jarvis Immediately following that short promo was a Jillian Jarvis match as a means to show how tough she'll be for Pariah to overcome. This match was given a little under 7 minutes and although Wendy got her share of offence in the outcome was never in doubt, especially given the previous segment. A solid enough match from two of the Women's Division workhorses. (55) Segment 11: Greg Black vs 'The Complete Package' Joss Thompson Probably the best match of the night from an actual in-ring standpoint. there's no doubt that these two know how to work and put on a good show. Both are pushing their late 40's but it would seem they are at different stages of their career as Thompson is still a hot topic in the company has still got some shine to his apple from his World Title reign. They were given 14 minutes and put on a good match with Thompson hitting his Clean Cutter finish for the win. (71) Segment 12: Thompson then grabbed a microphone and heavily put himself over in his classically arrogant manner which always draws heat from the audience and keeps him in good stead as one of the best heels in the company. His promo was then interrupted by a cryptic video on the titantron which ended with an instantly recognisable green mask and the word 'Soon' flashing up on the screen hinting at the return of Enygma. This would certainly excite a lot of the younger audience members but for the older fans, they might be a bit less thrilled. He's a former two-time World Champion but Enygma has always been an 'interesting' case who hasn't necessarily lived up to the expected potential of him in the eyes of some fans. Let's see what develops. A good segment nonetheless. (76) Segment 13: 'The Dark Destroyer' Steve Frehley vs Jimmy Chipolata The outcome of this was never in question and Frehley continued to look absolutely unstoppable as he decimated JC in 4 minutes. Nothing to report. Frehley looked monstrous in an entertaining squash. (51) Segment 14: Another post-match promo for the evening as Frehley recapped his big 'moments' of late including shelving Nicky Champion indefinitely and defeating Rick Law a few nights ago on Pay Per View. There's cash to be made in a feud between Money and Frehley and that's what was being hinted towards here, even if it's a 'heel vs heel' affair but before any more could be said our friendly neighbourhood law enforcement appeared in Rick Law and he talked about being cheated out of victory at the PPV against Frehley and how he wants a rematch. The Destroyer ignored his pleas and exited through the crowd so as to avoid the babyface. The crowd hate Frehley, they love Law and are still hot for this feud. There are legs left in it yet and it was the best angle of the night. (81) Segment 15: Running Wolf & Natural Storm vs Rich Money, Dusty Ducount and Charlie Thatcher (The Business) The main event was a reasonable TV main event but it certainly wasn't anything that would get everyone excited except for the USPW die-hards. Obviously, the big feud here is Wolf vs Money so these two were kept apart for most of the match. Any interactions Wolf had were as the victim of hellish tactics from the two big brutes in The Business. The in-ring action wasn't spectacular but the entertainment was fine and, perhaps surprisingly, the babyfaces got the clean win after Natural Storm fired up the crowd with the hot tag and Howard pinned Thatcher. (71) Segment 16: Of course, the show can't finish with a clean babyface win as this is entertainment and storytelling. Sterling Whitlock who had remained quiet at ringside throughout the match finally got involved as the faces celebrated. With Natural Storm on either turnbuckle, this left Wolf standing in the centre exposed and Whitlock snuck in and low-blowed the young contender while Money swiftly followed up with a shot to the head using his title belt. It was very well executed and draw some great heat from the crowd to close the show and be sure to get them to tune in next week to see Money get his comeuppance. (80) A decent but unspectacular start to the year. It was classic USPW TV and it's slowly building the stories to the next PPV in 3 weeks but a company of this size needs to keep their stories 'hot' and engaging and it wasn't quite cutting it this week though there were some great elements to it. I'm sure there'll be teething problems in the beginning with a new booker but overall it'll be the same consistent USPW content we've come to expect. We'll give it a 66 and see what happens next week. Til next time friends, I'm Jo-Ro. </div>
  16. Oh, hell yeah! I'm currently running 2 MP dynasties but the day will come when I'll run WWF and this will be the mod to do it with. Excited to finally check this out, Fleisch! Thanks for all the good, great work.
  17. We've entered a new year and a new decade and the first iteration of USPW's American Wrestling of 2020 comes to you from Tennessee via the Reverie Network! There'll be a lot to unravel after the events of Made In America a few nights ago as we begin the journey towards Stars, Stripes and Slams! in four weeks time. 'The Dark Destroyer' Steve Frehley will be in action as he looks to continue his hot run of form after beating Rick Law a few nights ago. We're sure that Law won't take his 'tainted' loss lightly in the aftermath of the event but many are wondering if a new year will see the return of the man whom many believe personifies USPW, Nicky Champion, who hasn't been since his brutal beating by Frehley at Thanksgiving Thunder two months ago. National Champion Roger Cage will open the show in a non-title affair against Funky Fedora. Cage is two months into his reign as champion but has continued to draw the ire of Zeus and the tag team Bad Intentions, collectively known as The Olympus Order. This rivalry has been ongoing since United States of Pain! in September but now that there is gold involved the stakes continue to rise! Elsewhere on the card Cooper Christie, one half of the fastest rising tag team in the company in The Texas Express, will be in action. The always impressive Women's division will be featured with two matches. Juliette King and Glorious Gloria are the muscle that backs up Alicia Strong and they'll be in tag team action as well as 'The Iron Lady' Jillian Jarvis facing off against Wendy Anderson. It's a night full of action ahead of us and all of that doesn't include the fallout of the recent World Title match in which Rich Money retained the belt against Running Wolf due to outside interference. I'm certain that won't be the last we hear of that situation and it'll develop further on American Wrestling. The only way to know is to make sure you tune in. We'll see you there! Announced Match Card
  18. Best of luck Jaysin. I do enjoy a WCW romp so I'll be following along appropriately.

  23. The 1-star bandit has struck. #blessed I'll preface my presentation and offering of USPW with this: Of the big 3 to play with and book for USPW would have been at the bottom of the list. I've never played USPW in any iteration of TEW before until running the Coalition diary and booking the 05' version of USPW. I've played big companies before and tried to present them. HGC and 21CW were the latest dynasty efforts that fell by the wayside due to a myriad of issues. Life admin, illness etc. I've read other USPW efforts over the years (AngelDelayettes) being the most well-known of them. I also usually only play exclusively as the owner for the utmost freedom so, similarly to DarK_RaideR, playing as the booker with owner goals on is going to provide a big challenge and maybe it's one that I need. But... oh man is Allen Packer a mean boss with slightly unfair expectations. But hey! USPW is sitting on top of the world. We don't need to go to war with anyone. But in the words of the illustrious Scott Hall. "You wanna go to war? You want a war? You're gonna get one!"
  24. <p>Man, I've only just checked in and I see there's a 98' mod coming this way? Hot damn!</p><p> Your mods are always a good ride, Fleisch. Looking forward to 98' when it's released as 92' is a blast!</p>
