  1. 1.02 added in mouse and keyboard usage for road agent notes. Small feature but it's huge for me at least. Glad balancing is being looked at, though that's not surprising.
  2. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Questlove" data-cite="Questlove" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="49492" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Okay, can we quit pretending the UI has been fixed? I have purchased the game but feel disappointed with the end product in terms of the UI. I know I'm part of the problem in a sense, but the added features are too much to pass up on. However, the UI issues you mention are really rough. Cannot type first letter of road agent notes or scroll with the mouse wheel.</p>
  3. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Idolized" data-cite="Idolized" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47578" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>For those complaining of the text being small - what screen resolution are you using?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> 3840x2160 with 150% scaling. TEW 16 was not the easiest to read at the same resolution but 2020 can be very difficult at times. I have a Surface Book 2 that I'll probably just use this game on instead of the desktop.</p>
  4. <p>As suggested in the feedback thread, having the ability to add in preset trios in the editor would help in recreating CMLL and other lucha libre promotions a great deal. They would function much like tag teams but with three people instead of two. </p><p> </p><p> Not sure if something like this is possible at such a late stage and I can't imagine it being a priority with other stuff being way more necessary, but I know I'm not the only one who would love to see this come to fruition. I imagine having the AI using this properly would require a lot of testing time that you don't have. Thanks for your time!</p>
  5. Is the link in the first post not working for anybody else? Doesn't seem to be a bandwidth error as much as a broken link. Either way, thank you to all those who have contributed to this project.
  6. Agreed. This just seems kind of strange as is. Not game breaking and something we'd adapt to but green is usually associated with the best ratings/general goodness in games.
  7. This is huge for me and my friends. So happy this is a thing. I get why some are put off by the UI. There is a lot of information on your screen at once and it can be overwhelming. I think it will take time to adapt but I really enjoy having it all laid out there. My only concern was not being able to use the mouse wheel for lists, but thankfully that's an option and I'm not sacrificing a tonne to get it back. I am loving almost everything so far!
  8. I love your idea. I'd also push for something a little more generalized in addition: This promoter will hold a grudge against homegrown stars who leave the promotion (like Giant Baba with Tenryu). Would it be possible to have certain attributes take effect in areas where worker loyalty is turned on? It's less of a big deal outside of Japan.

A particularly strong example would be Diamond Dallas Page peaking in his late 30s/early 40s.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Better Late Than Never:</strong> This worker will reach their entertainment potential later than their physical and in-ring abilities. This is to replicate wrestlers like Bret Hart and Daniel Bryan who were already world class in-ring performers but had huge gains in their entertainment skills later on in their careers. There could be another for the opposite of this (great talkers who eventually became great in-ring talents).</p><p> </p><p> I don't know how big of a pain in the butt it would be to muck about with retired wrestlers, but wrestling isn't wrestling without short-lived retirements.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Just One More Match:</strong> This worker is willing to come out of retirement if given a big pay day from a cult or larger sized company.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Never Say Never:</strong> This worker has a tough time staying away from the ring and will constantly come out of retirement.</p>

  11. Agreed and I've not been the best with thanking all the mod makers consistently. Thank you, Southside (a fellow Kawada-ite! Hokuto > Toyota, right?!), Fleisch, Dr. Avalanche and anybody that helped with the update. It's awesome stuff.
  12. Well said! Some lucha libre re-rate requests, which I'm sure you're more than thrilled to receive as you try to get through all your adjustments before Friday: Cavernario could use some skill boosts. He's one of the better in-ring talents in Mexico. He's a jack of all trades type but technical and aerial skills are his real strengths. While not maybe at the Volador/Ultimo Guerrero level in top row skills, he's not far off and he's actually quite good at telling a story and working his character into the match (though not as much as I'd like). He's also super charismatic (B- too strong?) and should have a healthy star quality too as he's one of the few fresh faces CMLL is really getting behind. Speaking of, Ultimo Guerrero's brawling should probably receive a bump as well. A lot of his offense is based around big slams/power moves. He's one of the more charismatic workers in Mexico too. Another luchador that could use a bump is Puma King. He is incredibly charismatic, super slick technically (all three of those skills), and a decent brawler too. Right now he's at 23% for psychology, which is low for an average indie worker much less a talented guy like Puma. He's not Tanahashi or anything, but he's better than most in that department imo. He's got his father's (Felino) entertainment skills. A good talker but a super presence in the ring. He won over PWG's crowd almost instantly on his debut there last year. He's settled into AAA's upper midcard now as well. I love this guy! One last one is Rey Escorpion. He's more of a brawler as well and is a very smart glue guy that can carry a match story-wise. He's an excellent hand and it's not surprising he's thriving at the top of AAA's cards recently. I understand this is subjective and I'm by no means a lucha libre expert, but those few nitpicks stood out when perusing your latest release. Thanks for all the hard work! All those re-rates of the Japanese indies do not go unnoticed. It's awesome stuff.
  13. Oh, hell yeaaaah! Good to see you back, brother and thanks for dropping this!
  14. I believe both Meltzer and Joe Lanza on the VOW paywall podcast mentioned this.
  15. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="DeadCeleb" data-cite="DeadCeleb" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45652" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Ok, but we dont even have an IDEA of their product. So any set up now could look completely wrong later, and then that's more work on the mod maker.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> They've talked pretty openly about what they want in interviews though. Throwback to pre-attitude era wrestling presentation where wins and losses are emphasized, tag team division is heavily featured, but with a modern, fast paced in-ring style. They've talked about early '90s WCW, Meltzer has said what they're aiming for is Watts-esque Mid South booking with long-term storytelling and attention to detail. That would translate to something with low Mainstream, lots of Traditional and Modern (contradiction!), and going off of their writing style for BTE, they'll have some comedy and a bit of cult. I don't know how feasible such a product would be to pull off, but that's what the early signs are telling us.</p>
  16. <p>The top 5 in that big fan poll I linked to last page was:</p><p> </p><p> 1) Tetsuya Naito (NJPW) - 32539P</p><p> 2) Hiroshi Tanahashi (NJPW) - 32304P</p><p> 3) Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE) - 17602P</p><p> 4) Kazuchika Okada (NJPW) - 14616P</p><p> 5) Kenny Omega (NJPW) - 11035P</p><p> </p><p> I don't know how much weight we can give that because #6 is Jiro Ikemen, but it's a useful tool. It was an online vote not locked to subscribers of the magazine that ran it.</p><p> </p><p> I'd agree that a lot of the ticket sales are linked more to the momentum that the company has created over the past 7 years. Naito and LIJ merch outsells everybody else's by a huge margin if that matters too.</p>
  17. This database is ridiculously awesome. Thank you Southside, Fleisch, and all that helped put this together. Love it. A few NJPW notes (yeah, I have OCD but I do this out of love): *Adam Page seems like he could use a bump, particularly to his entertainment and camera skills. He's got the look and charisma that could make him a decent star and it's not surprising that WWE offered him a deal recently. *El Desperado seems underrated. He's quietly had a fantastic year and this extended tag title run seems like a reward for that. Really great basics, smart worker (psych is super low for a great hand-type), very good tech skills to work a rudo lucha style. I'm not a fan of Kanemaru, as he takes too much and gives others not enough, whereas Despy has a perfect sense of how much to give younger wrestlers to make them shine even in defeat. *Hiromu's charisma is nice but his mic skills 'n' acting could use a bump, as he's so entertaining in backstage promos. He commits to his character to such an insane degree. Would give him either the punk or loose cannon gimmick for heel and bump his babyface performance. LIJ is pretty much straight babyface at this point and people adore Hiromu. *Tenzan's physical ratings should be closer to retirement than healthy. He basically walks on his ankles at this point and seems to be injured consistently. *While Tanahashi's push in recent years isn't always the strongest (despite this big, perhaps last, run), he's still way more popular than Okada. Time after time when they're squared off, the fans react huge to Tana and politely applaud Okada. There is a love there for Tana and the fans respect Okada but don't have the same connection, hence this interesting character turn li'l Kazu has played with since dropping the title in June. TL;DR: Okada too popular, Tana could use a pop boost *Jim Ross ain't the JR of the Attitude Era. He's constantly making mistakes or going on tangents to complain about what he's commentating on instead of building up the match story. 100 announcing seems very generous at this stage of the game. *Jay White this year has established himself as quite the violent brawler. He uses his environment well (lots of very good brawling on the floor) and lots of suplexes. Perhaps a bump to his brawling and puroresu ratings and drop his aerial? His entertainment skills seem low too. He cuts really fascinating promos in-ring and backstage. He's not quite deserving of his push but he's come a long way since that disappointing match with Tanahashi at the dome. I think he's got great star quality too. He's being groomed to be the top foreigner (along with Ospreay) should Omega leave. *Kota Ibushi star quality bump? He has the look and presence of a top guy but has yet to receive it in NJPW because of his freelancing in the past. Now he's right on the cusp. *Young Bucks entertainment boost? People love BTE and that's based around their entertainment skills. They've also really come into their own in terms of storytelling the past 18 months or so, so I'd argue for a psych boost. Their chain wrestling is top notch, especially Nick's ability to float from one move to another. *Shota Umino star quality bump. He's the featured young lion and people like Meltzer say he's going to be a future star. I'd agree. *73 for Naito's charisma. Guy has to be one of the most charismatic workers on the planet, no? Like Okada isn't more charismatic than Naito in pretty much any way from where I'm sitting. He's also been voted the most popular wrestler in Japan by fans and media alike. Fans still love the guy despite an average year in-ring and some pedestrian booking. He should be the most over worker in the country. You're doing a marvelous job. Thanks again!
  18. <p>So, is Taichi going to be #1 world's strongest? Thoughts?</p><p> </p><p> Seriously though, I kind of love Taichi and hope he has decent puroresu skillz and charisma so we can all give him the IWGP title push he thoroughly deserves once he unifies NEVER with IC and then finally IWGP. The last RWC release had him as more a technician/high flyer when he's pretty much a puroresu/old school heel type now relying on fairly good but not outstanding top row skills and more so his surprisingly strong psychology and charisma (AND STAR QUALITY BAYBEE). Fleisch did have him at 82 charisma, which is awesome. I'm the world's second biggest Taichi fan after Miho Abe and even I think that may be a smidgen high. Mid-to-high 70s seem about right? I'm terrible with setting gimmicks but his heel persona should reflect his arrogant character rather than the "no gimmick needed" he's currently assigned. </p><p> </p><p> Speaking of Ms. Abe, will she make the cut? Her ridiculously OTT affectations would deserve decent acting skills, right?</p><p> </p><p> edit: Another low key great wrestler to take a look at if you have time: Hechicero. One of the world's best technicians is rated as a high flyer. He has incredible basics (so smooth!), but he's a power technician with exotic submissions and remarkable chain and mat wrestling. His psychology is very good but not at the level of his basics, which should be way up there. At 49, his menace is a little low for a muscular dude with a wicked dark mask.</p>
  19. These are some of the finest creations I've seen. Fantastic work!

Like the V-Trigger is a puroresu move through and through, but he's not a big striker otherwise. He does have some "driver" moves though. He has aerial elements to his game but I wouldn't consider this to be his best strength anymore. He's not a traditional brawler and indeed some of his strikes look loopy and soft, so that's not the right answer. He chains a lot of stuff together, but I don't know if I would consider him a traditional chain wrestler like Regal/Meiko/Fujinami/etc. In my opinion, he's second only behind Okada as the current best wrestler on the planet but how does that translate to TEW top row skills? Okada is another one where he doesn't really fit the traditional mold one way or another. I know he's a bit better at the psychology-side of wrestling than Omega but would his best top row skill be chain or puroresu? Ibushi has moved further and further towards puroresu being his highest top row skill over aerial the past 5 or so years too. I would suggest for the current top NJPW guys, most of them are best versed in puroresu, Tanahashi aside, who is probably best at the technical top row skills. Maybe Naito is more technical-based as well?</p>
  21. All white looks a little sanitized to me. I'd say go with company colours when you can.
