  1. Probably should throw a spoiler on that.
  2. <p>I'm very sorry for my comment and certainly didn't mean to upset or disrespect anybody, but in hindsight I can certainly see how it appeared that way. I apologize to Fleisch, whose mod is top quality work and has been for ages. I apologize to TheWho for taking attention away from his great work too. The more choices for people, the better.</p><p> </p><p> And yeah, WWE shows should be hovering around their popularity from what I've seen and it is doable to beat the AI as Bigpapa mentioned. Getting them going is going to take a bit of work but it's definitely possible and there's little to no competition breathing down your neck. Plus, you could rely on the power of Heyman's mic skills to help out. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Is it the skills or popularity or both that is the big concern? </p><p> </p><p> WWE's in a precarious position not having many regular stars outside of Cena. They've tried to get Roman up to that level but the fans aren't accepting him, so if there's no Brock or Undertaker on the shows, you may get warnings that the company is lacking star power. I think this reflects reality, but that is just my opinion. So, if you're doing a save with WWE, it's going to be a bit of a struggle in the early days because of a lack of stars.</p><p> </p><p> However, there are a tonne of talented workers on the roster that have the tools to get to that B/B+ level of popularity. It's just a matter of the user choosing which few to really get behind and playing to their strengths. You could focus on Cesaro's in-ring ability or Bray's promos, for example.</p>

Making predictions about how good your mod will be one day compared to Fleisch's then immediately after mentioning depth is not a good way to endear yourself to most GDS members. Fleisch has worked day and night longer then just about anyone here at GDS to provide people a game to play. If you have to follow a sentence with (not to degrade or anything) the post may be better left for s private conversation.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> This isn't my mod. I just help with the some of the ratings on a site and TheWho uses them. I was referring to TheWho's mod, not blowing smoke up my arse. His mod has a ridiculous amount of coverage in terms of independent promotions, it's remarkable.</p>

Do you have specific examples or do you feel it's a wider issue?</p><p> </p><p> The ratings for the bigger companies, as TheWho mentioned in the OP, are based on a collective effort. DerekB even helped, which was great for balancing purposes.</p><p> </p><p> This mod has a tonne of potential and could one day soon be the definitive current day mod. That's not to degrade the other great modders (Fleisch in particular) at all. But, TheWho's mod has an insane amount of depth to it.</p>
  6. Thank you very kindly, Iceisle.
  7. I am taken aback by how quickly you managed to cut these pictures. Thank you so much for taking this project on and at the pace with which you completed it.
  8. You could add in a racism scandal though!
  9. So that was the "tweak" feature for gimmicks that allowed for those improvements to occur?
  10. Yeah, I've been trying to create a real world gif pack and am fairly unhappy with how workers with long hair turn out. Are you using a layer mask for those? I know that takes a helluva lot longer. And the other one is using clone stamping on a clipping mask layer to get rid of the damned fringing that hair does in photoshop (probably even computer generated hair). Those look boss btw!
  11. Until the next great mod. Incredible progress, Fin. You're not a man, you're a machine!
  12. Awesome! I was wondering if somebody would take this up and you're just crazy enough to do it! I was disappointed the game didn't come with gifs but it'll be great when you're done.
  13. <p>Very minor grammar issue in DAVE's promotional bio. The first sentence uses "it's" when it needs the possessive "its". I think I'll give DAVE a shot, as I loved mid '90s ECW (for the most part - some of it has not aged well at all!).</p><p> </p><p> Edit: one more thing for DAVE, Big Cat Brandon's missing a picture for his contract.</p>
  14. I am excited to give this a shot. I hope this is what finally pulls me into the Cornellverse. Thanks for all the hard work!
  15. Best of luck, Matt. Your mods are fantastic, top drawer stuff and among my favourites to play. Ages ago, I started work on a '92 mod called "Card Subject To Change" and used a graphic very similar to your '93 pic you've posted above. It's such a fascinating time to take over pretty much any promotion as there was change everywhere: USA's big two, Mexico with AAA's formation, and Japan's rising new guard in All Japan, New Japan, All Japan Women's, and the independents. Super hyped for that one! Converting is going to be a very long process because of the new contract features alone. Finding out recent turns and gimmick freshness could be a pain in the butt. Do you plan on tackling those for the bigger promotions? Leaving it all random?
  16. <p>Welcome back!</p><p> </p><p> I was never a huge fan of the forehead cut-off point until I started cutting in this style. Having the face zoomed in helps when actually playing the game because the majority of the time you're playing, you'll see worker images at a smaller resolution (like at the booking/results screen).</p><p> </p><p> I used to cut at just the top of people's heads and the pictures looked too small when in-game.</p>
  17. That's very fair and I understand the desire for control! Hopefully, we can get something going here, as there seems to be a desire for a modern addition to nGo among many parties! We may not be as far off as it seems. justtxyank, I've sent a PM.
  18. Agree 100%. Never been a fan of the cut picture styles and this is such an easier/quicker process too. I don't get why more mod authors haven't made the switch. Different tastes, of course. Shoot, if it's taking the time to edit each wrestler to get the most time accurate picture, I am more than willing to volunteer and do that.
  19. This is fantastic! I absolutely loved PRIDE FC, so I'm looking forward to playing a game with them and rewriting a li'l history. Thank you for this. I'm digging the use of attributes. I found Jipper's thread but I cannot get his firedrive link to work. Do you have a link for his pic pack? That would be greatly appreciated.
  20. I'm in agreement on all of this. Nick Bockwinkel is one of the smartest, smoothest wrestlers of all time in my opinion. I know that doesn't mean much but in the grand scheme of the ratings, he seems undersold. Another guy I feel is a li'l underrated is Mark Lewin - certainly not by much but he was one of the better wrestlers of this period, I thought. Awesome brawler, good technical ability, very good athleticism for a man of his size (that dropkick!), and entertaining as heck at both a crazy heel or traditional babyface. I'm usually heck of picky about ratings but in general you've done an incredible job. Bock, Lewin, and Jardine are the main guys that strike me as needing a bit of bump in skills and, in a mod that is so thorough in scope, that's pretty great!
  21. Ah, man, this is amazing! After reading several of the Crowbar Press books and, in particular, Gary Hart's autobiography, I was tempted to make a January 1975 mod because of how amazing the world of wrestling was back then. January of '75 because it was a month before the awful plane crash that took Bobby Shane's life. Looking at the data, it would seem you're a fellow big fan of Shane! Anyway, after spending a good month on an era specific location file and cutting pictures, I lost all of my work. It may have been for the best, as it's doubtful I would've seen it through. And if I ever did, it most certainly would pale in comparison to this data! I'm just glad you put in the hard work. I cannot thank you enough! So many awesome territories thriving, all fairly unique in style and roster make-up... It's very hard to decide to eventually pick. Maybe I'll play as Gary Hart booking for Fritz. They've got Johnny Valentine, Wahoo, Jardine, and Kox. Heck of a group to work with when you add in Fritz, Shane, and Kiniski. Booking Mil Mascaras will be a pain in the ass. P.S. I didn't know Bob Caudle was ever young... He looks so strange!
  22. This is going to be fun! Thanks for all of your hard work!
