  1. Oh wow, he's only at 78 SQ in my USPW game. maybe the AI booked him terribly, but i didnt know SQ could jump that much to be honest.
  2. Sorry i should have responded to this in my other post as well, but i liked your card, the only thing i felt like saying is, while i love Huntingdon as a character and he has a decent ability, isn't his star quality rather low for SWF main eventer? I can understand Gilmore staying up there because he is already over, and 82 SQ isn't too bad but wouldn't you have been better served giving someone like Lau the win? (he has the same SQ as Nicky Champion!) Not attacking your ideas or anything, the card was solid but i'm curious.
  3. Yeah, creative control is offered quite a bit by the AI now, so its something you as the player have to do also, and i agree with you, its a pain and causes too many booking problems. I just made Jay Chord my World champion forgetting he had creative control, so it going to take a while before someone other than Champion is in a position to take it off him. Yeah the national battle stuff makes sense, luckily Frehley has actually gained 1 or 2 points of pop over what he starts off at as champion, so overall my national battle roster (without Rich Money, but its essentially been a straight swap with Jay Chord, who fills the same role on the roster now) is just beating SWF, after a couple of months of losses. Yeah i can't blame you for using Ross Henry straight away, he only stayed down there for 3 months on mine, didn't develop heaps but once I had the tag team idea for him and Caulfield, playing the babyface All American tag team i bought him straight back up, and his 72 overness is really useful, and he's a NBT for me. Yeah, thats pretty much what i've done now, Baine is now a midcarder, Bouncer is at 89 overness, so that was a straight swap in terms of roster positions, Jay Chord has a huge future ahead of him, and Law and Thompson are the next two i want to establish more, i'm honestly waiting for Enygma's contract to come up so i can take his main event only clause off and slowly move him down, and James Justice's so i can get rid of his extra perks too. IF either of them take another contract elsewhere, then so be it. Dude, i love that show, it made me smile that someone uses the language. I only know one person IRL that actually watched it all and liked it as much as i did!
  4. Always good to see a fellow USPWer! I like the fact you kept the title on Frehley, something that i couldn't bring myself to do. Watch out for Champion going to SOTBPW, they seem to have huge financial muscle. took me 81k and a lot of perks to keep Champion on board, and him being figurehead and World Champ for me meant i had to throw it at him. Yeah i got rid of Novak too, he signed with TCW soon after. They also fell to cult in the first two months after losing in the national battle. Khoklov is an absolute must to win that for us though. Did you open a developmental territory at all? I had Ross Henry down there for a while and bought him up to tag with Caulfield, but its cool that you are pushing him in a singles run. I'm in the process of getting Law into the main event, but there doesn't seem to be a spot with Champion, Enygma and Justice all still main event faces who are more over, and crucial to the national battle (well not Enygma but he has that clause that he cant be pushed below main event so i keep him somewhat strong anyway). Good on you for pushing on with the Women's division, after doing the Melody-Gorgon-York story i originally came up with in mine, i ended up scrapping the whole division because i had no good ideas on how to push it. PS Do you watch Farscape? Because thats an interesting use of the word 'frelling' that i dont hear outside of that show haha.
  5. Ok, yeah i see your point more now. To be honest, Money lost quite a bit of pop (90 down to 74 US wide) when he became toxic, he is 41 at my point in the game (august 2016) and i can always bring him back once he becomes signable, so ultimately i'm not too disappointed. Vacation was something i didn't think about trying, but if it ever comes up again i'll definitely give that a go. Right now i'm just going to build talent and accept that i'm going to come at least second (behind SWF) in the national battle. EDIT: Jay Chord has just broken into the main event and is the new 5th member of my national battle workers. He has A rated star quality and is only at 78 overness right now, but i think he can ultimately carry the company and become the new number one heel. Every cloud has a silver lining!
  6. Heel or Babyface? Because if its a babyface you could have Jungle Lord (i assume he's never been close to contention in SWF, also he could play heel too), Captain Atomic, Frederique Antonio Garcia, Squeeky McClean (he may have had a shot canonically, but i'm unsure) theres many guys in the mid to late 30's in SWF who have never had their fair shot for the World Title
  7. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Remianen" data-cite="Remianen" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41174" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>If a worker is not on your roster, they do not affect your locker room/backstage. I have Fuyuko Higa (perhaps the most toxic female in the C-Verse) in development after signing her to a regular written contract (she balked at signing a dev deal). She is not on my roster, thus she is not listed among the influences in my locker room. If Big Smack Scott is not on USPW's roster, he cannot taint USPW's backstage. Likewise, if Davis Wayne Newton is on FCW's roster, USPW cannot reap the benefits of his persona....unless they sign him to their roster.<p> </p><p> Thus, if you had sent Rich Money to a development promotion, he then becomes their problem to manage. But if he was so important to you, why wouldn't you at least try to send him down to find out for yourself rather than just cutting him? While I hope I'm wrong, I don't see him lasting a year as a free agent given his skillset and overness.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Well the difference between Rich Money and Big Smack Scott is that Rich Money made homophobic remarks, triggering the actual toxic status in TEW 16. Unless in your game Big Smack Scott did something similar too? I wasn't just on about being a negative influence backstage, the new 'toxic' feature affects sponsorship deals, attendance etc. So if he was under contract, wouldn't i still be getting dinged for that, even in development? If WWE sent Hogan to NXT after his little outburst recently, I would assume people would not have been happy with that. Its also why i don't think the AI will sign him, until its worn off and by then I'll be negotiating to bring him back too, but i could be wrong and maybe sending him to development would have worked... I think I could do with some clarification on that. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  8. Due to no one seeming to have much of an idea about toxic workers and if its possible to send them down to developmental to avoid their toxicity, i decided to go for the safe option and release Rich Money from USPW. It leaves a hole to fill in my roster, as he was key in my national battle top 5. I have shortlisted him in the hopes that within a year i'll be able to re-sign him, but for now may game has been shook up, and a new challenge put in front of me.
  9. If i were to send a toxic worker down to developmental, to work there, would that still hurt my promotion? I don't really want to let his contract go in all honesty (IT WAS RICH MONEY!!!)
  10. <p>So, biggest PPV of the year for USPW, Rich Money beat Nicky Champion, primed for a huge heel run with the belt, day after, he makes homophobic remarks and becomes toxic! As my champion. now i'm going to have Champion beat him on TV for the belt again and terminate his contract, which really hurts me at the top, and in the national battle!</p><p> EDIT: If i were to send him down to developmental, to work there, would that still hurt my promotion? I dont really want to let his contract go in all honesty.</p>
  11. Just debuted Jay Chord in USPW, forgot to check his gimmick, and it got rated awful because he has an F Rating at weasel gimmicks. Why was that his default one? now he's stuck with that for at least a year when he was going to become a focal point of the show.
  12. That is amazing (probably not so much for you) but at least you can push Savage now. And its doubtful Hogan gets picked up by WCW anyway, so maybe shortlist him and wait for the 'toxicity' to wear off and re-sign him. You could even debut back as a heel! Make his gimmick picking on smaller guys backstage, saying they are disabled by not being as big as him (Tasteless but the heat!!). There is so much you could do with him if he stays a free agent. Well i'm in the last week of May in my USPW save, not sure if anyones even read my previous post but i had an incident with my Tag Champs when The Force went back to SWF and my tag division was in a bit of a state. So I ran a 2v2v2 match on the TV after my PPV with The Titans beating Black & The Force and The McWade brothers to take the belts. It was purely a transitional reign because they lost the belts to the new team of Chris Caulfield and... Ross Henry! I called him up from developmental, and put him with Caulfield who was doing nothing at this point, but Caulfield was the perfect partner because of his 92 Psych. Henry gets surprisingly good individual match grades too, so i'm going to keep them with the belts for a long time, feed The Titans and McWade brother to them until i build up Brandon Smith and Findlay O'Farraday for a big time tag feud.
  13. Oh my!! Emma Chase has started dating... Jerry Eisen! What a powerplay! its the reverse HHH-Steph
  14. So i'm in April and playing as USPW and i had quite a good tag team going with The Force and Greg Black, who had quickly become the cornerstone of the division (thanks to some lucky booking, they both had positive momentum, but they didn't have any bonus chemistry notes or anything) so i decided to get behind it. Then SWF came in for The Force when his contract came up... I was an offer that was seriously considered, and he went ahead and took SWF's offer! he was at 71 overness US wide, so i have to come up with a new plan for the tag division, which is being built up and no one really is in a position to take the belts. Eddie Howard is injured, Towers of Power are fueding with the up and coming Bulldozer Brandon Smith and Findlay O'Farraday team, which is no where near enough over yet. The only other teams I have are T-rex and Tyson Baine (who's 10 years in decline btw) and the McWade Brothers, who i only signed to help build other talent. What do i do guys??
  15. you did a lot of stuff that I have done over 2 or 3 games so far. I'll probably play on from none of them when the full game comes out i've decided, and i'll start fresh so i did some "what if" scenarios involving that World Title, Champion and Frehley. Seems to me that Nicky Champion is better off with the belt. there is better heels for him to go against than babyfaces for Frehley, for example you can have champion vs Money, Baine or Khoklov and it will probably pull good ratings for main event PPV's, whereas after Champion, you either go Enygma or James Justice who are about 7-10 pop behind Champion, and are quite old! I think USPW are fascinating in this game, plenty of challenge. I still like Frehley though, do you not find him fun or interesting to book? Peter Michaels is a must have with his experience with McQueen, and his high level skill set.
  16. I'd say give Valiant the wins in his feud with Brandon James (Who has never delivered as a top man in my games, despite what his bio says) and i'd say that Valiant is decently ready. Only thing he may be missing is a bit more psych, but you can get him working with Gilmore and Remo in triple threats or something. I do agree about Joey though, he should get a long run with the NA belt.
  17. Phil Vilbert is a free agent, and if he wants to work for SWF he's a good option for Authority Figure. I have always struggled with picking a decent authority figure honestly, feels like the C-Verse doesn't have many good ones. But yeah i think you have to find a way to get him out of that main event until he becomes more over.
  18. very decent card for someone who has never played C-Verse before. I like the idea of bringing in gimmick PPV's like KOTR into the C-Verse also. Does that mean Mikey Lau will be getting a world title match at the next PPV? because i don't think he's anywhere near enough over to be considered a genuine threat to Remo! Other than that, i'm curious as to what grade you get.
  19. So i finished the two months with USPW, didn't really do much better with the second PPV. Its really hard to make the decision to have Nicky Champion lose in any way close to clean, i had a second DQ finish for a main event PPV when Frehley interfered in the Champion Vs Khoklov match. I booked myself into a corner because i didnt want Khoklov to lose his first major match in USPW, but the figurehead stuff with Champion meant i was too worried letting him lose, even with a tainted finish or interference. So i let him win by DQ but kept Khoklov strong. I've really enjoyed this save, i think ill keep it going once the full game is out. USPW definitely have challenges, their national battle top 5 without Champion and Khoklov (Who you could obviously not sign, but why wouldnt you?) has people like Tyson Baine (who is surely more likely to be in decline than not) and Enygma (same as Baine to a lesser extent) who can't be relied upon for too long. Rich Money and Steve Frehley are still decent for me, but Rich Money starts in a weak feud with Caulfield, who can't be expected to perform at Moneys level so i did not even consider having Caulfield win even one match in the feud. James Justice was another who is 45 or 46 and autopushes main event at the start. So USPW may look tremendously different from 2013 but their is definitely some of the same problems there...
  20. so i decided to go as USPW (who i got into a lot towards the end of TEW 2013, played almost two years with them) again. Just ran the first PPV and im losing pop across the board. here is the card, with babyfaces first and winners bolded. pre-show Freddie Datsun Vs Casey Valentine For TV title- Kept the title on Casey, just used this throwaway rivalry to give him some momentum. rating= 65 Natural Storm Vs The Cold Warriors© For Tag Titles- Took the belts off the Cold Warriors because Petr Novak is still on roids, he had been flagged twice before the PPV but i didn't want to suspend him until after the PPV. ended up doing it the night when it came up again! Rating= 68 Engyma Vs Jumbo Jackson hype video rating= 71 Engyma Vs Jumbo Jackson- these two dont start with a feud so i stuck them together and hoped for some decent grades, hence why its relatively low on the card. Could end up putting Engyma against Rich Money once both of their respective feuds are over, i feel like they would work well. Rating= 73 Rich Money pre match promo on Caulfield Rating= 85 Chris Caulfield Vs Rich Money- This feud seemed like the weirdest match up for one of the default storylines. I understand the reasoning but man they arent in the same league! Money is one of my favourite workers in the C-Verse and i enjoyed trying to push Caulfield in 2013 but it just didnt work out here for me at all. Rating= 73 Melody© Vs Gorgon For Womens Title- Gave them a solid 12 minutes to work but did use the cool down crowd note, worked out okay, i think i'll hire a couple of more women and try light up the division like WWE should continue to do.... Rating= 63 Rick Law Promo on Trent Shaffer rating= 81 Rick Law Vs Trent Shaffer © in a Last Man Standing Match for National Title- Never played Canada in TEW so i didnt really know who Trent Shaffer was, but he seems to have upward potential. Because the story said Law had been waiting to get his hands on him, it felt there had to be some stipulation to it. I gave them the steal the show note, and it came out fairly well, but not exactly world beating. Ill let this feud play out more however. Rating= 76 Nicky Champion hypes the upcoming title match Rating= 85 Nicky Champion Vs Steve Frehley for USPW World Title- It was a DQ finish so Frehley holds onto the belt. I was unsure as to how the rating was gonna be hurt by this but it did include the debut of Marat Khoklov, who with a returning Shane Sneer is teaming with Frehley to reform the Sneer Corp! I didnt want Champion to lose clean for obvious reasons (figurehead) but I want Frehley to be more over and to go on a decent run with the belt, so he needs to be protected also. the rating probably reflects my choice. Rating= 78 Edit: the next night on TV, i meddled and got new signing Sara Marie York and Marat Khoklov to become strong friends!
