It did surprise me a bit as I’ve done Unemplyed starts before and gotten hired before 6 months, sometimes people die or lose the book or one of the owner/bookers decides to hire a booker, I’ve also had games where way more companies open the first year. But instead, it made an interesting narrative, again, as the persona being an extension of me the player, being vindictive over this disappointment. So a lot of the dynasty as we come along will be about that War for regional Mexico, and El Critico will certainly be developing a Hatred for our PC and vice versa.

Nice little starting roster, but if go by their bio pics... 6. Who is the Grand Avatar? He is not a man of power, nor a man of influence. He is not a man of menace nor of acclaim. The Grand Avatar is an enigma, but ultimately the Grand Avatar is simply a man who believes himself to be the best damn businessman and professional wrestling booker in the world. But the man in the shadows had one small problem, he was nobody... He had no connections, no money, no power. All he had was the gift of persuasion, known as a master diplomat and motivator, he could easily influence those around him, but with no foothold into the industry it would be difficult to convince someone to give him the book. The Avatar pondered, he had no real funds available to him, otherwise he would just make his own promotion and take over the wrestling world in a hostile takeover. Still, if he was not able to convince someone to give him a job in 1 years time he would start his own backyard promotion, just to draw attention to himself... or perhaps, even more daring, take over the wrestling world from the absolute bottom. He was crazy enough, to do it, but he'd rather not go that route. Now all he could do was wait... GAME RULES Unemployed Start All default settings on sans Fog of War and Dirt Sheet Hidden Relationships set to High Injuries set to High Newgens set to High and begin immediately. Default reputation is set to High, mainly because I need to be able to get hired or at least be able to start my own fed if I cant. I will sim until I get a job as a booker or owner(if an owner dies I will certainly take that spot) if I cant get a job in a year of simming I will open a Rock Hard backyard fed and run it until I either feel like jumping ship when available to me or build the company into a global powerhouse. This dynasty ideally ends when I reach Global #1 with any company. Unique Rule Due to the nature of the diary, I will be keeping a running tab on my personas financial resources, which we will be calculating by taking half of the Miscellaneous expenses each month and adding it to our "pool". The main purpose of this is if we go bankrupt or leave our current company our combined admin fund will be used to start a new company if we go that route. If we for example, have millions of dollars saved, I'll be creating a Cult sized company with the starting money of the fund - a million dollars. Current Bank = $0
 7.
Attendances being fixed means it’s not longer going to be feasible to build a mega region and bankrolls millions in one region before going to TB on Cult.

Which I’m fine with but there better be huge improvements to the overall system if that’s the case

Going from regional to National is the worst thing ever in current TEW

 8.
If you are on TV in UK you don’t need workers with pop in that region as you can run shows in your home region and still reach that audience.

His death should have zero impact on your TV deal unless your overall show grades are tanking in every region.

 9.
No, againit has nothing to do with the AI and everything to do with the disporptionately low max overness and skill caps for generated workers.

It also applies to human companies

 11. Notable that workers with sub 70 overness caps do exist they are just extremely rare. I think they are nearly as rare as the amount of workers with A or higher overness caps. An overwhelming majority of the workers in the game will fall somewhere between 70-80.
 12. Well yes 30 years in all of the starting workers will be retired or like 50 years old. Secondly NBT means nothing. All NBT means is >76 max charisma and psychology. You can get all of this on a crappy 74 max overness worker and be a glorified mid carder, in fact I actually think this is more common than otherwise. NBT is generally completely useless with the exception of seeing if your worker has charisma or the potential for charisma, that’s all it’s useful for. Hot Prospects will tell you everything about your worker, what his max overness is and what his performance skills will cap out at. EDIT: NBT tells you the max overness as well but you can also get this information from Hot Prospects, and NBT won’t tell you the general performance caps, ie how good your worker will actually be, it just tells you he has psychology threshold that isn’t completely awful. And I believe basics as well, can’t remember as it’s been a while. But you literally could have like a 78/78/40/30 performance worker and he’s NBT as long as he also has a max charisma of 76 or higher. Even though this worker is actually really bad.
 13. Of course all of this could be solved by simply removing overness caps from TEW entirely which I’ve advocated for years, but I have been constantly shouted down by people who have zero understanding on how TEW works mechanically. Usually every time I mentioned it basically could be summarized as “something something Billy Gunn”. There is a better solution, but it’s much more complicated and I doubt it will be implemented when most people are satisfied with the status quo because of how TEW is most commonly played. 1-3 year dynasties with the same set of workers and big companies.
 14. 90 SQ with 60-70 max overness is worthless actually, and for some odd reason that is the majority of newgens with that roll. In order to produce a > 800 National battle worker you need someone with a minimum of 80/100 but 100 cap is so rare it might as well not even be talked about. So let’s say 90-95 which is more common for top, top prospects. You need a minimum of 89 SQ just to be competitive with th WORST of USPW AND SOTBW. Granted both these companies frequently have guys in the 900 range, which requires you to have a prospect with literally 98-100 SQ to even have a chance. Granted this is a lot different than the day, 15 or so workers who already are at this level and maybe 6-7 more with variance that can conceivably reach this. I’m talking guys like Ugaki and Kawashima if/when Pride goes bankrupt, or Magnum Kobe or Jack Avatar or Swoop McCarthy or sometimes Ricky Decolt and eventually Tommy Jr.

In mods it doesn’t really matter especially if you are already playing as WWF, but in CVerse where you need to beat either USPW, SOTBW or both you aren’t doing that with new gene.

If you are lucky you might get a guy who contributes 800+ which is a weak main eventer once every decade.

 16.
Short answer no.

Long answer, depends on the relative worker skill of the mid in question.

In real world mods like RWC by Fleisch absolutely as the standard is very low.

C-Verse/Default/80s mods? No chance. You might get one or two guys in a save that cap s a solid midcarder. Genuine main event national level guys just doesn’t happen.

 17.
I don’t care if they are true to life but I really like that wages are larger now.

Top workers in current games make peanuts really.

More importantly I’d like to think these changes will actually provide an avenue where financial management becomes a part of the game after Cult and big companies can actually lose money and even potentially go out of business.

Currently outside of losses to revenue streams you can just bid whatever you want for workers without repercussion

Personally dont think a battle should even occur unless there was an event held in the region.

I feel the same but I think it’s an artificial measure to make sure everyone doesn’t hit cult like some earlier games.

 19.
The only person who fits the Cody role for me is Greg Black. Who is basically a top indy darling that was released by the big company after being given a comedy gimmick.

For Omega I'd use Phenomenal E.

The Young Bucks have no C-Verse equivalent. You can use the Amazing Bumfholes if the fact that the Bumfholes have and actively work in one of the big companies doesn't bother you, or the fact that both Bumfholes are massively more talented than either of the Bucks.

I think the change is a good thing and one that keeps momentum from tanking after a very competitive loss.

Not really, they do it the same way you do it in game already. Gimmick changes and turns. See Bray Wyatt. WWE is also extremely fond of the fire or send on vacation wait until everyone forgets then rehire tactic that also works well in TEW, and they’ve ebeen doing that for years.

It is quite literally outline and described in the notes themselves.

As far as the performance based momentum, this isn’t a positive or realistic change in my opinion, this just gives passive bonuses for having a skilled worker, but in terms of wrestling as a performance art, kayfabe success is still the end all be all.

I think within reason, say the loser in a match of the year candidate in an open match maybe could see a small momentum boost, but WWE is a perfect example of why the feature is just questionable at best with how many super talented guys they’ve buried with ice cold momentum.

I made it more similar to TCW than what DAVE was. My roster has changed with only Acid II, Ash Campbell, Logan Wolfsbaine, and Madman Boone as remaining from PSW. I had to change the product to stay alive as sponsor money was a need. I'll be cult within a year with Mid atlantic and tri state. I am not trying to rush to national, as I want to build roster so I don't lose national battles. I was wondering what people do for broadcasting.

Why did you release Ernest Youngman?

With that roster I don't really think you are going to be able to abuse your stars enough to hit that high 70s low 80s breakpoint. What is your average show grade right now?

In my experience Ernest Youngman and maybe Xavi Ferrera with a good roll and more patience than I have are really the only guys capable of carrying PSW purely in the ring. You can get a ton of guys who get immensely over on entertainment skills and pop but they generally cap out in this 80s for matches. I didn't start hitting 90 rated shows consistently until Youngman hit his peak as a worker in terms of skill growth and pop, and also when I signed Des Davids from SWF because lol AI bidding.

For example, in May of my first year, this is my first 80 rated show.

<img alt="vMHqQNX.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vMHqQNX.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

And then by December, again abusing Youngman we managed our first 90. This really accelerates the goal to getting that huge wad of cash.

<img alt="9pTjXI4.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9pTjXI4.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

The usual old guys the AI drops because time decline are very useful to your company at this point because they are very over compared to the workers you start with, and can be used in many kinds of matches with decent grades far beyond the 30s and 40s most of your initial cast will get.

Also notable at various points the AI will randomly drop extremely talented and relatively young workers for seemingly no reason. In my current game, I am in the midst of signing John Greed who was just let go at 38, not in decline, and has legitimate high end world champion stats almost across the board. Also the AI tends to let go high quality prospects, especially SWF and SOTBW, so pay attention to that.

This is year 3

<img alt="SBJYpu6.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SBJYpu6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Robbie Wright and Heroe were literally just let go for no reason at all and they are easy grades. Robbie can do promos and also matches, Heroe is just a midcarder but a very good one. You can find a ton of these guys in a given save to boost you up to the next level.

The sex appeal exploit gag has been around since TEWs genesis and if you boil the game down to a math problem you can literally do it all, reminds me of the old local-Global speed run posts where guys would hit Global by booking 2-Sin City Super Soaker matches and 1 90min t-shirt throwing angle and pressing run over and over.

It's an exploit and sex appeal angles have needed to not count for show grades for a long time.

They are fairly limited at higher grades, the main thing it's just super easy to build a 40s or so pop promotion with them. As of now they are basically just filler matches now that my company needs 90s consistently to grow and Sex appeal matches do not do that.

But either way, the divas get paid like 500 bucks it makes no sense to pay Greg Black 8 times that salary just to put on a 60 rated match.
