  2. Jan. Week 1 Announcement: Tag-Team Tournament Announced [ishikawa Stadium plays host to BHOTWG's search for the next big tag-team.] For the past five years, the BHOWTG faithful have complained about our deviation from classic heavyweight tag-team wrestling. We hear you and we think you’ll be delighted to hear our big announcement. Ten of the best tag-teams from all across the world will participate in a single-elimination tournament. The stakes are high, the winner will get a title shot against our champions, The Killing Floor, at the Burning Path PPV. Don’t fret, as the second place duo will also be offered a full-time contract to wrestle for BHOTWG. Let’s meet the teams: Black Iron Corps 🇯🇵 The first of three domestic tag-teams, awesomely named Black Iron Corps might have the most to gain from a good showing. Comprised of Azumamaro Kita and Fuijo Narahashi, the Corps boast an excellent, hard-hitting attack. Kita brings his MMA pedigree into the squared circle while Narahashi is the muscle, battering opponents with old school puro offense. The duo wrestles out of Pro Wrestling SAISHO, owned by Japanese legend Mito Miwa. House Handsome 🇺🇸 Any fan of sports entertainment will recognize House Handsome. While they were best known under a different name, the mainstream American duo of Frederique and Handsome Stranger have a chance to make a name in the Land of the Rising Sun. With over half a century worth of combined experience, House Handsome knows every dirty trick in the book and will use every single one if it means going all the way. Samoan Demolition 🇼🇸 Not to be mistaken with GCG’s Samoan Destruction Inc., Samoan Demolition will be making their Japanese debut in our tournament. The Polynesian pair features the Brisbane Devil and King Malietoa. Big-boned and hard-hitting, the two make for a perfect fit in puro. A great showing for Samoan Demolition could open a lot of eyes in the wrestling world. The Atlantic Connection 🇺🇸🇬🇧 Reunited and it feels so good. The Atlantic Connection spent the last decade as one of North America’s most technically gifted tag-teams. The Brit-Am partnership features America’s Riley McMagnus and the UK’s Curtis Jenkins. Unfortunately, a passport issue meant Jenkins had to move back to the United Kingdom, ending the team. Luckily for their fans, the two are back and will be competing in our tag-team tournament. Since their breakup, McMagnus has become one of the top stars for New York City Wrestling and Jenkins has opened up his own wrestling company back home. Modern Warriors 🇦🇺 While relatively unknown here in Japan, the Modern Warriors are two of the greatest Aussie babyfaces of all-time. One look at this golden-locked, sun-kissed muscle-bound dream-team tells you just why they’re such a big deal down in the Southern hemisphere. Captain Wrestling II is a 3x world champion that seemingly walked out of a superhero movie. His size, strength and perseverance makes him one of the tournament’s most dangerous participants. In his corner is the beloved Kerry Wayne, a 2x world champion himself. The patriotic, heroic Wayne embodies a “never say die” mentality and has orchestrated some of the most odds-defy comeback victories in Australian wrestling history. Furasawa & Miyazaki 🇯🇵 The son of legendary GCG owner Hanshiro Furusawa, Mabuchi Furusawa is the inaugural Black Canvas Wrestling World Champion and will be reuniting with long-time tag-team partner and Japanese free agent Shingen Miyazaki. Given their ties to The Golden Army, the duo should have no shortage of friends in the BHOTWG locker room in the event they need backup but this capable team might not need it. Furasawa is one of the very best in Japan right now, and Miyazaki is an accomplished all-rounder and has trained under the legendary tutelage of Haruki Kudo and Dan Stone Jr. The Northern Lights 🇬🇧 Representing the United Kingdom will be The Northern Lights. One of the best kept secrets in wrestling, The Lights are composed of Alton Vicious and Riddick Jordan, two of the hardest hitters in the sport. It’s a shock that neither man has previously wrestled in Japan. Riddick Jordan is a high-impact hitter with game-changing striking while Vicious rounds out the the team with ungodly power and athleticism. If you haven’t seen these two work, you’re in for a treat. Savage Fury 🇼🇸🇮🇩 Java returns to BHOTWG, bringing his long time tag-team partner Tribal Warrior into the fold. The two men make up Savage Fury, one of the best known big men tag-teams in modern professional wrestling history. Their formula is simple but brutally successful: overwhelm and overpower their opponents with their size and strength. Yano & Kikuchi 🇯🇵 The odds on favorite in this tournament have to be Yano & Kikuchi. A physically imposing duo featuring the commanding BISON Yano and the equally overwhelming Brute Kikuchi, the two have run roughshod over the PGHW tag-team division. Their arsenal of suplexes, stiff strikes and ground-shaking chokeslams all but ensure a fantastic showing this month. The McWade Brothers 🇨🇦 Lastly, the legendary duo of the McWade twins make their long-awaited BHOTWG debut. The rough-and-tumble Canadian brothers have a staggering 10 world tag-team titles under their belt along with a pair of Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cups. Large, violent and bloody, the two have left a trail of destruction reaching across North America all the way to Japan. While age has weathered the two, they remain a dangerous out in the tournament. The world is falling apart. Four years removed from a catastrophic tsunami, the Japanese people are barely beginning to recover. The economy has tanked. The population is declining. Extremism is rising. In times like these, people need professional wrestling more than ever. But as their presence became increasingly important, Japan’s squared circle titans were nowhere to be found. Tadayuki Kikkawa and Yoshimi Mushshibo retired. Haruki Kudo ran the country’s most historically-important promotion into the ground. Koji Kojima and Koki Ishibashi were in cahoots with organized crime. Enter Natsu Miyamae. Seizing the reigns of BHOTWG, Japanese wrestling’s crown jewel, Miyame is now tasked with righting the ship. It’s not just about what happens between the ropes. It’s about giving the people hope. 5. Current game is in November 2016: -Got a phenomenal worker roll on Primus so he's going to be pushed to the moon if he fills out his potential. -Stole Hawkins and Champion. I've been trying to cut down on signing big stars from my competitors, but both guys figure to be great additions in a Sports Entertainment type product. -Gave Valiant the world title win at Supreme Challenge over Remo and I'm slowly turning him heel. In my head canon, he's Roman Reigns where he's an overpushed, but talented guy that's not good enough to replace the previous figure in Bruce, just like Roman can't replace Cena. With Hannah leaving him and two psychological feuds with Greed and Rogue, he snaps and turns on Angry Gilmore after losing the belt in a triple threat. -Trying my best to make Ekuma an upper midcard talent but it's tough. Despite his "incredible look" according to the bios, his SQ and his menace aren't as high enough to carry a program. -The Cali Dragons are tag-team champions. Love the workrate and both figure to be future main eventers.

  7. <p>Which companies do you think will debut between 2016 and the start of 2020? I can't see another Southwest company opening, especially ELITE given how close its product is to GSW/IPW. Either a former CZCW wrestler or Jimmy Stratosphere. His partner, Aces High, lacks the same prodigious talent but makes up for it with the unpredictable, frenetic energy he brings to the ring. As for the State of Destruction, size matters. Boneyard, the real-life bodyguard of Brother Grimm, tips the scales at 350 pounds and his cohort BB Colossus is even larger. Things get more interesting when Weston introduces weapons into the fray, snatching a pool cue from a nearby billiards table and handing it to Aces. While it’s not enough to fall their significantly larger opponents, Long Beach Crew is able to even the playing field. </span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></div></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>"Ooooh-weee!" exclaims MC Motormouth.</strong></span></span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> With some crisp, tandem offense, the Crew pushes the dominant champions further than any past opponent has. Slick in particular showcases his wrestling chops with an impressive flying uppercut from the top of the Warehouse’s music stage. While the Crew does most of the legwork in the match, it isn’t enough. Batting Ace’s pool cue out of his grasp with a clobbering forearm counter, Boneyard wraps his other meaty hand around the GSW West Coast champion’s neck and propels him seven and a half feet into the air by the throat, driving him down with a brutal Chokeslam. Without pause, the massive human mass covers for the three count. </span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></div></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"><strong>Result:</strong></span></div></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> State of Destruction def. 12. Definitely, I was super excited about writing the first diary but sadly, work and grad school got in the way. Now I've got some time and need to sharpen my writing knife so hopefully I'll be able to sate myself over until TEW 2020 comes out. First show is already around half done writing wise so I'll hopefully have it out by the weekend!
  13. Thank you! I haven't see much of Cobb outside of Mantaza so I'm excited at the prospect of him wrestling for AEW. Thank you! Don't know how much love I'll be giving the Nate Johnson one just because I hate writing diaries for larger companies. Hopefully I'll get in some of my comedic material before TEW 2020 comes out LOL Yes! I'm happy you caught onto that. The original diary was homage to his album
  14. Just a quick author's note. To get a better context of Grimm SoCal Wrestling as a product, it follows a real-life pro wrestling trend in Los Angeles where the ring is entirely removed. Instead, the matches occur environmentally, basically like a staged bar fight. Here's an example, featuring a match between Darby Allin and Jeff Cobb: <iframe width="560" height="315" src=" https://www.youtube.com/embed/xLp163TDI9A" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> The inhabitants of GSW will be duking it out on the floors of Brother Grimm's club, The Warehouse.

  16. [summertime '16...Attempt #2] December 2015 Watts, California A South Central strip mall isn't the typical habitat for a millionaire, but Brother Grimm isn't your typical millionaire. Along with long-time cornerman MC Motormouth and stalwart sycophant Moore Vincent, Grimm's plunging into a greasy burger at a cash-only joint--one with the ketchup bottle tied down to the table due to numerous red-sauce related thefts. "It's time win the war." At 39 years old, Brother Grimm is hardly an old man, but he's ancient for the West Coast gangsta rap scene. He's toiled with cold-blooded killers, blackhearted crooked cops and ruthless kingpins, but the battle-tested hip-hop legend is fighting a new kind of turf war. What Grimm's service record as a street soldier doesn't show you is his resume as an astute business man. His dream alliance with cash-cow Gil Thomas and wrestling legend Nemesis devolved into conflicting ideas and blood-boiling hatred. The end result was a splintered company from the original promotion IPW, named Grimm SoCal Wrestling. "Damn this is the best burger on earth." Grimm cracks a slick smile as Vincent devours his meal. He was ready to unleash his secret weapon on IPW and the entire pro wrestling world--a man formerly known as Citizen X... [Coming soon, I hope.]
  17. "Narrated by me, Nate Johnson" There’s nepotism--then there’s creating a multi-million company to portray your four sons as play-pretend superheroes. That’s the story of “Gorgeous” George DeColt, the patriarch of the second most powerful family in Canadian wrestling. "Ok, boomer." In 2009, he decided to spend the last 7/8ths of his life withering away on a vacation cruise and left his company Canadian Golden Combat to his son Alex. Let’s just say Junior isn’t much of a boss. "Not a people person." To be fair, not every major CGC departure was due to Alex's lack of social skills. His brother Steve left because he didn't get to be booker. "Shooter" Sean Deeley quit despite being the only guy Alex put over. And as for me? Let's just say his brother Jack had a really attractive wife who has thing for bad boys like me. After hot stuffing Marie, I was forced to move to America, where I had to learn what a healthcare premium was. I had no choice. If the DeColt clan found out I was in Canada, the Mounties would probably find my body in a ditch somewhere. Most people assumed my time wrestling in Canada, not to mention CGC, was over. But they'd be wrong... Headline: CGC appoints Lucha Libre legend Not Johnson as new head booker "Who knew all it took was faking a few references and buying a mask online?"
  18. Starting this thread because I’m curious to learn which C’Verse wrestlers are awesome in concept but never actually work out in game. I’ll start: -Blockbuster: I love his render, I love his name but I can never bring myself to invest in this guy. He’s a monster heel with mediocre menace and he doesn’t have skills to compensate. He’s too big to use as a jobber and he’s not a guy you push into the high card. -Tyrant: Awesome name, awesome render, awesome backstory, terrible worker. You have this special ops bad ass and he has terrible stats all around. No SQ, meh menace and already in his mid late 20’s. Shame -Larry Wood: basically unhirabke because he’s too expensive for smaller promotions and too old/broken down for large companies. A kayfabe psycho killer that’s a real life genius-nice guy is such an awesome backstory. Too bad. -Ekuma: Not necessarily unhirable but with all the upselling on his look and power, he’s a meh worker headed into his 30s. His bio makes him look like the Rock and Brian Cage had a baby but his stats are closer to a Mason Ryan and his SQ is meh for a guy with main event aspirations. -Brimstone: Cool name, cool render, garbage worker. -Big Magic: why is he even in the game? Cool Kimbo Slice shout out though -Steel: If he’s going to take steroid, at least have a high SQ. Meh

  21. <p>Can I get this Mikey Lau :</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/rTi2tN5.jpg?1</span></p><p> </p><p> With this matching/a similar tattoo?:</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k125/Sigilistic/TCW%20Renders/FrankiePerez_alt2_zpsaf49756a.jpg</span></p>
  22. Does anyone else like Cerberus? Sure he’s a horrible locker room guy and he might have literally been a neo **** in earlier C Verse canon, but he has 100 menace! Plus he has C’s in both brawling and hardcore and he’s only 29. Death’s Head is a great luchadore that I rarely see get signed to US promotions. Great stats and still young
  23. I love destiny rolls because you never know who you might get that could be great. I’m a big Cverse player so I have an opportunity to freely form my own wrestling universe. One time I got a Killer Shark unlimited pop/fantastic worker roll and had so much fun molding him into a god like worker
