USPW feels like its horrifically outdated. A pure entertainment company that's modernized in its entertainment in a sort of mainstream Lucha Underground fashion would be interesting to see.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I think the difference is LU uses plenty of workrate in its product. Jerry tends just to raise comedy and turns down risqué and it’s very similar to USPW’s in-game product. A pure entertainment company would be awesome but it would be harder to convey in TEW as an AI company</p>
  2. <p>Favorite Eisen owner of the game?</p><p> </p><p> Richard is obviously religiously dedicated to sports entertainment. Is stingy with his cash too.</p><p> </p><p> Jerry seems like he wants to turn SWF into USPW 2.0. Very flashy with his cash, and has a pure entertainment preference. He does make more significantly more talent accessible with his product and his more liberal cash flow. </p><p> </p><p> Eric likes smark entertainment and he seems more inclined to bring in Indy talent. I’ve never booked under an EE roster but I’ve seen him take over instead of Jerry and he signs guys like CLM and Reaver. </p><p> </p><p> The top is the “purest” way to play SWF but it sort of ruins the WWE parallel immersion when guys like Ross Henry and Brandon Smith aren’t available due to product.</p>
  3. <p>Playing a hard difficulty start-up promotion out of Hawaii in CVerse. I’m using southside_hitman’s Dragon Pro Wrestling using Mikey James as my player character. The promotion is a martial arts based product, using WLW’s product but lowering comedy and mainstream, and upping the realism. I’ve been using working agreements with Saisho and 5SSW for Japanese talent</p><p> </p><p> Anyways, I’m in year 2, and we’ve recently hit regional. The main stars have been James, Frankie Dee, Rob Reynolds, Dragon Assassin, Avalanche Takano and Funakoshi. So far Dee and Funakoshi have been poached, with BCG going out of business. Takano returned to PGHW, which I’m waiting to go out of business. I’ve lucked out because Remo recently got hit with a homophobia scandal, and Elemental III wasn’t resigned by BHOTWG after taking shots at the owner on the radio. I also signed Java for the locker room. </p><p> </p><p> For whatever reason, unemployed Japanese workers love to surface in USA after a year, and if PGHW takes them on a tour, you can easily build pop for them (or job them out for pop). Hawaii is really an untouched territory that is really fun to play with in Cverse.</p>
  4. Really like the Aces High render. May I use it for my GSW diary?

  6. <p>For 2020 it is!</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Fat Tuesday</strong></p><p> Birthday: March 1993</p><p> Debut: Feb. 2019</p><p> Character Description: Coming in late to pro wrestling, Louisiana Native Fat Tuesday is the human manifestation of New Orleans. A former lineman at LSU, Fat Tuesday refused to give up on his NFL dreams despite being a second string, situational player in college. Badgering his beloved New Orleans Saints each and every year for a training camp try-out, Fat Tuesday now has a restraining order against him by the team.</p><p> </p><p> Fat Tuesday doesn't look like a professional wrestler; mostly due to too much gumbo, and too many po-boys, he has a massive gut and close to 0 stamina. Where he shines is on the mic, where his undeniable charisma and humor make him a star-in-waiting. </p><p> </p><p> Tuesday is always dressed in a colorful, Mardi Gras garb, year-round. His entrance is an elaborate parade, with several of his trombone playing jazz friends following him to the ring. Tuesday should look like a cross between Kamala and Papa Shango.</p><p> </p><p> Weight Class/Build: Obese Big Heavyweight</p><p> Worker Type: Entertainer</p><p> Personality: Maximum social. More on the compassionate, generous side, and fairly conservative. </p><p> Finisher: Bourbon Street Splash (Big Splash), Second Line (Lariat)</p><p> Gimmick: Comedy Comedy Comedy. His heel gimmick is similar to Papa Shango.</p><p> Skills: Anywhere from abysmal to excellent!</p><p> -Rumble: Weak</p><p> -Technical: Abysmal</p><p> -High Flying: None</p><p> -Performance: Average</p><p> -Physical: Below Average</p><p> -Entertainment: Excellent</p><p> -Camera: Average (high menace)</p><p> Performance: From 0-100</p><p> -Babyface: 95</p><p> -Heel: 80</p><p> -Cool: Weak</p><p> -Cocky: Weak</p><p> -Crazy: Weak</p><p> -Legit: Weak</p><p> -Comedy: Excellent</p><p> -Weasel: Weak</p><p> -Brute: Excellent</p><p> -Weird: Very Strong</p><p> -Wholesome: Average</p>

  9. <p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Favorite:</span></strong></p><p> <strong>1. GCG:</strong> It's a simple, easy to play product that gives you the ready-made experience of elevating a regional company to cult/national. Great starting roster, a legendary owner, and a strong alliance. A lot of history, prestige and ambition go into this promotion, and the talent pool for it is prolific.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>2. GSW:</strong> I loved themed rosters! As a hip-hop head, I enjoy having a rap music themed roster. It is fairly limited for booking, and you have to tone down your expectations when setting objectives for the promotion, but the product, attitude and workers are great! </p><p> </p><p> <strong>3. ZEN:</strong> Definitely recommend picking up ZEN if you haven't already. It's a fun, friendly roster, and has a good work-rate roster mixed in with a cute, lovable theme. I don't really care for 2016's CZCW or WLW, but ZEN is a perfect replacement for those two traditional high-flying, colorful promotions.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>4. OLLIE:</strong> Similar to GCG, OLLIE has a lot of C'Verse history in the game, and it's definitely a fun promotion to book. If you want to book an ambitious, resurgent powerhouse, and don't like GCG's product, OLLIE is the best choice. The talent pool in Mexico is super deep despite SOTBPW's insistence on stockpiling talent it won't use, but you there are a lot of gems they won't touch. Plus COTT and a women's division make it one of the most well-rounded promotions to experience the full TEW game.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>5. 21CW:</strong> I know SWF is supposed to be WWE, but 21CW probably replicates the experience the best. You have a near monopoly over the business in your local area, and have a diverse stockpile of awesome talent. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>RIP Inspire:</strong> I LOVED Inspire. The roster was awesome, the idea was awesome, etc. Inoki-ism was insane, but man is it a fun concept to try to embrace in C'Verse. The diversity of the roster was also one of the highlights.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Least Favorite:</span></strong> </p><p> <strong>1. SOTBPW:</strong> Never bothered booking them, but aforementioned, they're notoriously the most obnoxious CPU. They stockpile talent, most that don't even belong in a lucha setting, and put on 5 star matches constantly. In my opinion, they need a bit of a nerf.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>2. USPW:</strong> Basically everything you hate about WWE rolled into one promotion. Brutes, hacks and superman booking. You lose the national battle each time if you don't hire the king of brutes, hacks and supermen in Marat Khoklov. Plus, they're almost as annoying as SOTBPW when it comes to CPU, but also pretty useless at the same time.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>3. NOTBPW:</strong> Bleh. DeColt, Bloodstone and Westybrook are interesting characters, but the roster and product are so jarring. Even an awesome women's division and some really neat young talent can't really get me into the promotion, which is a shame because the rosters are always stacked. There's nothing you can get from NOTBPW that you won't find booking TCW or PGHW. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>4. IPW:</strong> Nemesis was once my favorite C'Verse character back when Poet was a wee 6th grader playing TEW 2005, but like NOTBPW, the roster is a convoluted mess. It seems more like a roster I'd scrape together on a Local to Global challenge than a canonical promotion. I like the talent, but GSW is much more fun to book. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>5. PSW:</strong> PSW is very similar to IPW in respect to how random the roster is. There's almost no real hardcore talent aside from DaVE and TCW wash-ups. Instead, the roster seems to always be stacked with workrate pretty boys like Keith, Youngman, Parker, Campbell, Wolfsbaine, Ferrara etc...It lacks the grit of DaVE which is why I never enjoyed booking it as much. Most of the talent on that roster is really good, but don't seem canonically relevant to PSW's mission statement.</p>

Basically the plan is to compile all 6 shows that I will be writing + all the documentary content surrounding the shows, compile them into 6 "Netflix" type episodes, and post them all at once, using the Create-A-Thread as the table of contents. Basically wanted to drop a preview because I have a lot to work on still for the project.</p>
  11. Here's a preview of the first show for my DIW diary. Still long ways to go, but I'm proud of it so far: Luckily for Samoan Demolition, this isn't their first rodeo. While the crowd of a few hundred fans will be the biggest crowd they have ever performed for, the two have the privilege of knowing what to expect from a live audience. However, the same can't be said for their fellow debutee, Tyrant. Just a year ago, Tyrant was in a different kind of fight. In fact, in two weeks, it's going to be his first time ever in a wrestling ring. A former sergeant for the Australian Defense Force, Tyrant spent most of his late teens and early 20's deployed overseas. Only two years into deployment, he lost his eye, after his unit and allied Afghan troops were ambushed by Taliban forces. There's no doubt that he's one tough bastard, but the ring has taken its fair share of bad asses. While Samoan Demolition and Tyrant are trying to take advantage of a fresh start, there are some in DIW that see the writing on the wall with the company's new arrivals. For Cesar Sionis, the possibility of losing his job is a frightening reality. The last time Why We Fight featured Sionis, "The Greek Punisher" was an independent wrestler that "Big Jim" Teasdale had been scouting in Melbourne. As some of our viewers may remember, the wild haired brawler was one of the biggest names on the independent scene, but also boasted a reputation for being a difficult personality to work with. On the surface, Sionis seems to be safe from DIW's round of cuts. Currently, he's holding the tag-team titles with Gyula Lakatos. But after several run-ins with Teasdale and The Comedian, Cesar seems to be on the hot-seat. Sionis's situation is a stark reminder that professional wrestling often relies on its real life actors as it does on its characters. Repeat offenders like Cesar Sionis often cause major shifts in booking. His tag-team partner, the youngster Lakatos, may lose his promising push solely on the fact that Sionis can't control his anger. </details> <details><summary>3. Catching Up</summary> The fight against RAW and APW hasn't gotten easier. The Comedian has several new shades of grey on his beard, likely from the continuous financial insecurity that DIW faces. Now 40 years old, he faces the dreaded, inconvenient truth that retirement may not be far. Beaten down and bruised, The Comedian continues to white-knuckle through each brutal tables or light-tube match, putting on taxing performances despite his declining physical health. Seeing his friends and contemporaries, most notably Mayhem Mulhoney and Menace to Sobriety, decline from psychopathic bad asses to out-of-shape, broken down husks, DIW's owner knows that the revolution that he helped start, might not see him finish it. The last time Why We Fight highlighted Revolution Australian Wrestling, it had been one of the fastest growing wrestling companies in the world. Today, DIW's rival has grown exponentially into a major, national show. While it features some of DIW's lewd, crude themes, it's very much the anti-thesis of The Comedian's company: it's nearly non-existent wrestling and often adherence to wholesome, clean cut good guys seem to indicate a heavy-influence from American entertainment wrestling. It's not hard to see why RAW is so far ahead of DIW today. The show plays like a soap-opera, with cinematic scenes, and melodramatic storylines. While DIW's counter-culture narratives seems to repel any potential sponsors, RAW seems to embrace them. Before RAW, The Comedian's main objective for DIW was to taken Australian Pro Wrestling, an Australian "super promotion" seeking to sign away all the major regional talent. While RAW's mainstream dominance has stifled such an ambitious endeavor, APW still remains one of DIW's most heated adversaries. Unlike RAW, who seemingly looks down on any DIW talent, APW is notorious for poaching established Deep Impact talent, most recently, tag-team The Apocalypse. Prior to that, APW had swayed former DIW Champion Scottie Hamstead to defect. With much deeper pockets, APW seems to have a major upper-hand when it comes to bidding on Australia's limited wrestling market. </details>

  15. SOTBPW tends to bid higher than Eisen will allow you to. It’s a good opportunity to build new stars when they inevitably go for Brandon James, Rogue and Gilmore. You definitely want to make sure nobody gets Remo from you imo.

He might be the best hoss in the game, and he'll consistently put on B+ to A* main events if you feed him Bruce, Gilmore, Valiant and Morgan (and The Crippler/Rogue/James if you turn them face). He's still fairly young for such a big star, so you'll see his stats grow continuously.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Jefferson Stardust and Spade are almost always NBT, with Spade usually being the guy most people groom to replace Bruce as the figurehead. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Lau, Hernandez and Parker are your crown indie-signings. I usually see Hernandez and Lau getting main event runs in diaries but Parker is perpetually underrated, mostly due to his age. He tends to develop fairly well with most destiny rolls, and he can definitely be a solid upper-midcarder who can step in for the main event in most playthroughs. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> I like the love Prometheus and Gargantuan are getting. They might be clumsy hosses, but realistically, a promotion like SWF would definitely take a chance at developing these massive specimens if given the chance. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Around year 2, PSW tends to get into the bankruptcy/buy-out stage, and if Logan Wolfsbaine hasn't been fired, it may be worth it to buy them out, given both him and Ernest, along with any other super talented wrestlers that hate risque products, are signed to the roster. The 2016 available signings is probably the weakest it's been in a while. No more KC Glenn/Matthew Keith/Jay Chord-level cheat codes. With that being said, RIPW has pretty full cupboards, so you can just pipeline your Spencer Spades and Primus Allens onto the main roster. An added bonus is most of your RIPW talents are US and Canada only, so SOTBPW can't get their hands on them if they hit the upper card.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Hitting international tends to be pretty straight-forward if GCG goes bankrupt. You get cult importance in Japan, and you should have enough pop in Mexico and Canada by year 2-3 to hit international for your owner goal. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Speaking of Australian talents, Kian Wayne often gets let go pretty early into the game. If RAW doesn't bring him back, he's awesome. Nicky Gilbert is also a great RAW prospect but they tend to get pretty aggressive to keep him, and it makes sense why. Like everyone else says, Swoop is the Australian Rock. Maybe the best worker for SWF in the game.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> One last guy I want to suggest is Motoyuki Miyake. He's the best Japanese free agent young lion, but he tends to go on North American excursions in non-Japanese playthroughs. He's a great all-around worker (starting with B consistency and C brawling at 20 years old!), and has great starting SQ. If you signing him to RIPW, and sign him long-term once he returns to Japan, he can be a pretty valuable guy for you. Plus, within a 3 year span, if you get two successful weight gains, you can get a him at light heavyweight with Rocky Golden levels of Star Quality. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p>
  17. Anyone sign PPV contracts with some of GCG’s top talent? I’ve noticed BHOTWG’s weakest part of the card is a lack of talented upper midcard heavyweights. i think they’re perfect for rebuilding the tag division, and Gakusha is still young enough to make a serious run (although you may be aiding GCG)

I totally did something like that once! Though I picked up actual hotties for it, sadly eye candy matches don’t work with only dudes, it’s a bummer</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah, I always thought the Big Smack Entertainment logo was perfect for the soul successor to that Babes of Sin City promotion that closed. Have BSS as the loud mouthed, girls gone wild style MC, and have the shows in South Eastern USA, taking place canonically in Miami. I had to changed the promotion to fat dude’s because my original risqué promotion was doing too well, and it was getting really easy to spam sex appeal angles.</p>
  19. Playing an all-male risque roster playthrough with BSS as my player character, using guys like Devastating Don to wrestle eye candy matches. I've officially lost it.
  20. Just an FYI, I'll be releasing the DIW diary as a 6 part series all at once, sort of like an Netflix special. That'll keep clutter in the diary at a minimum and give me more time to work on it at my own pace <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
