3.
World Heavyweight Championship: "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner vs. Booker T {©}

- Steiner wins but somehow Booker keeps the title; maybe an injury stoppage by the ref or something? Something that makes Steiner go crazy. You need to keep Steiner strong but Booker needs to cement his position on top.

United States Heavyweight Championship: Mike Awesome vs. Rey Misterio Jr. {©}

- I'd love nothing more than an Awesome victory here; but Rey Rey is strapped to a rocket and the underdog will steal the win here.

World Tag Team Championship: 3 Count vs. The Natural Born Thrillers {©}

- keep the belts on the Thrillers whilst you rebuild the tag division; no matter how green they are, they have more upside than 2 Count.

Cruiserweight Championship: Billy Kidman vs. "Sugar" Shane Helms {©}

- Stand back, there's a Vertebreaker coming through. Another win to solidify the new face of the division.

Sting vs. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair

- if this is truly the final match; then Sting must win.

Rob Van Dam vs. Jeff Jarrett

- no way the Chosen One wants anything to do with this match; RVD by count out.

Falls Count Anywhere: Diamond Dallas Page vs.

- DDP gets his win back but this ain't over yet; I'm still torn on this one.

Ernest "The Cat" Miller vs. Lance Storm

- rebuild momentum and carry on up

CM Punk vs. ???

- not a chance

What will be match of the night? Steiner/Booker

How many championships will change hands? none

Who will answer CM Punk's open challenge? Hugh Morrus - being Straight Edge is No Laughing Matter

 4.
United States Heavyweight Championship Tournament Finals: Rey Misterio Jr. vs. Lance Storm - if this is the main event then I say you'll end it with a big baby face win. Storm can be lined up for a shot at Booker down the line but this is a great way to showcase how new this new WCW really is.

World Tag Team Championship: Totally Buffed vs. Natural Born Thrillers {©} - Luger and Bagwell can job again here; they definitely have a purpose and some mileage left but new era and everything.

Cruiserweight Championship: Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. Shane Helms {©} - two men to build the division around for sure; could easily see this go the other way but Suga Shane has great potential.

Sting vs. Ric Flair - tough call but Sting probably has more in the tank

Diamond Dallas Page vs. Kanyon - in keeping with the new era theme; but DDP can certainly still be an asset in the main event scene

Dustin Rhodes vs. Shane Douglas - another tough call, but I like Dustin for this one

Hugh Morrus and Konnan vs. The Steiner Brothers - no doubt at all here; Steiner can channel their early 90's self and squash the "locker room leaders"

Alex Wright vs. Fit Finlay - solid match but Finlay has more upside I think

What will be match of the night? Definitely Storm vs Rey Rey

There will be two new signings making their first appearances on this show. Name them. (1 point each) I think Rob Van Dam is a given if you can sign him. As for who else, maybe another former ECW star - either Little Guido or Super Crazy - but I'll go for the latter. As far as I recall (and I haven't checked the mod) but is Eddie just in rehab or is he a free agent? Sign him up if you can!

 6.
I'm planning a Women's Royal Rumble (name tbc.) on the same night as the actual Royal Rumble - I've got 4 hours to fill now.

My questions:

How many entrants would make it feel legitimate? Is 15 enough or too little? I'd have to borrow heavily from NXT or bring in some one nighters to get to 20.

Does having a debutante from NXT win make a mockery of the whole division?

Does the match need a different name to "Women's Royal Rumble" to separate itself from the me 's match? Or does it not need that separation.

 7.
I'd say that off the bat Yoshimi and Kozue are best placed. I've not got a figurehead assigned so far though.

The only drawback with Yoshimi is his age really, he's not on my time decline list but it's only a matter a time before he is - I imagine he will be surpassed soon and that will make him a weaker figurehead.

But until that time, I don't think anyone else stands out as a certainty. As I said, Kozue has all the tools but I think Yoshimi is still too strong so overshadows him.

That being said, I'm not sure you need to have a figurehead. That's where I settled anyway. No candidate was an absolute 100% best in all areas so I've not taken the plunge yet.

 8. At the moment I've got three rough groupings of my main event; one group linked to Mushashibo, one linked to Miwa and one to Kumasaka. So Kawashima (as Miwa's protege) and Kwakami (as Miwa's former partner) haven't found themselves on opposite sides yet. I imagine that will change once Koiso comes back from injury as there can be tension between Kawashima/Koiso and Kwakami/Sanda with them splintering to form a fourth grouping. I've not got official stables but it's helping me organise my booking on my tour at the moment. Long term Kawashima, Kwakami and Ugaki will be my three pillars (still deciding who should be the fourth)...
 9.
I might mix it up month on month; just to see how it actually affects my workers. I'll need 11 shows before the PPV in March in order to fit in the Elite Series but I might lower that in other months.

I'm inclined to keep Kwakami out of the main title picture for now; think I'll give him a good showing in the Elite Series and then keep him bubbling just below the surface - maybe in the tag ranks with Sanda? Then in the second half of the year I can reheat him and push him into a feud with Mushashibo/Kawashima for the Glory Crown. It looks like Kunomasu will be holding me over for January before I can properly kick things off with the Elite Series and beyond.

Flemmingway will get the boot if he doesn't book his ideas up soon; or at the very least opening match fodder.

 10.
I've decided to shift my big PPV events back to week 4 rather than week 2 of the month; that way I don't have "lame duck" weeks at the end of my tours.

Also, some more discussion and questions.

I'm running two events during the week (free to air on Prime Japan TV) as well as King's Road (Commercial on JSV2) working towards my PPV's. I'm a week in so far and seem to be doing alright booking-wise but am I at risk of burning my roster out on a tour? Is 12/13 shows a month too many at 80% intensity?

Is Simon Flemmingway worth the hassle? He's the only worker to cause any real issues and it's literally every show. Do you find it best to have him drop the International title and then syphon his popularity off before letting him go? Or should I stay the course?

Finally for now, I'm not sure who to have as an opponent for Yoshimi. I think Double K is probably my long term Summer feud but I need someone to hold Yoshimi over for a month or two. I feel like I would be wasting Kwakami at this stage as I know he isn't getting the Glory Crown yet but would it build him up more by losing? I'm not solid enough on my puroresu-ology to know whether the loss would help Kwakami at this point.

Best C-Verse game I've had in a long time and I'm only at the start of it.

I've also tried three, but i'll prefer two because of the intense product. Personally i see the Elite Series as the biggest tournament in wrestling, like K1's Grand Prix. So íI would either have the quarter finals as main events on tour dates or maybe if you have an very stacked roster/trading alliance (send invitations to some legitimate workers in TCW, NOTBPW...) start with an opening round and later quarter finals on tour dates. And then save the semi finals and final for the big show.

Is that two included Kings Road? or two events plus TV?

So you see the Elite Series as more of a New Japan Cup equivalent than a G1 Climax? (as far as format goes?)

You've raised another point I was thinking as well - who do you target for working agreements? TCW and NOTBPW? I've tried SOTBPW but they weren't interested.

 13.
Slight necrobump but I don't apologise.

Started up a game with PGHW and had some questions around the Elite Series (and the Tag equivalent) - basically how do you format it?

I think the natural way would be to have round robin blocks leading to a final as that seems to be the most traditional way to do things. But do you mix it up and go for a single elimination knockout or something crazy like a double elimination?

And what about scheduling? How many events per week (including King's Road) and do you have enough time to get the Elite series run without shifting the PPV dates around?

It's been nearly 11 years since I last played PGHW so I'm out of the loop in general.

 15. After 15 years, and despite Kurt Angle's best efforts, the inevitable has finally happened - The Alliance is running Raw. Get Heyman back in the booth.
 16. Oh hell this is non-stop! WARGAMES!?!? - everything on the line, and will we finally find out who the hell "Sting" is? Who's side is Sting on? This is truly one of the best things I've ever read; I'm hooked again.
 17. Another random NXT comment; but it's pretty awesome seeing The Badd Boyz turn up as jobbers. I hope they hang around as a regular jobber team as they are great fun. Also, Graves continues to be the best colour commentator in recent history.
 18. "Who is this Jose? And why is he always being denied?" Corey Graves wins colour commentary.
 19. So, as I've just posted in my JCP thread - holiday combined with less than advertised wifi connection meant that I've fallen off the grid for a couple of weeks. I'm back now so let's all calm down! As for March DOTM - two options: I get the voting thread up today and we go on as usual for March We wait till the end of April and have a combined March/April vote as a big send off for TEW13. Thoughts? Other options? I'm sorry for the disappearing act - if I had known in advance I would have delegated this out weeks ago. On that note; anyone interested in sharing the load of this once TEW16 hits? Maybe get a couple of us to rotate through so it's not left on the shoulders of one person. (Not suggesting I'll spend another two weeks in a wifi black spot any time soon but still)
 20. I'm so terribly far behind with this that I feel embarrassed with myself. That being said, I've finally read through the Sting Stampede and it was so perfectly written that I'm both dumbfounded and envious at the same time. Fantastic work and I'm eager to find out what in the world is going on.. Maybe I'll get around to reading about it in 2017! Congrats on winning DOTM as well by the way.
 21.
FEBRUARY 2016 DOTM RANKINGS
As you'll notice below; the ranking table has been cut down to 5. This is to reflect the smaller pool of diaries being voted for (and to save me some time). Another great month for diaries and it was tough to split at the top - but one man pulled clear to take a well deserved crown - Beejus. You'll also notice the smaller awards have been removed as well.

RANK

DIARY

POINTS

MOD

VOTES

AVG

#1

WCW '94-'96: War of the Thrones [Link] by Beejus

26

RW

6

4.3

#2

WWF/E 2001: Attitude Era Fallout [Link] by The_CoC

19

RW

5

3.8

#3

JCP: The Race To The Top [Link] by Anderz

17

RW

5

3.4

#4

ECW 2001: Redefining Extreme[2016] [Link] by SomeLazyMagic

16

RW

6

2.7

#4

WWF: The Golden Age... and beyond? 23.
JANUARY 2016 DOTM RANKINGS
In the latest installment of the Diary of the Month Awards, we had a much smaller than normal turnout - no doubt attributable to the upcoming release of TEW2016 and not a reflection of the excellent quality of diaries still on offer.
