Tim Boetsch just robbed me of £54! :@ Put £1.50 on a 5-fight accumulator.. Shields, Hunt, Bader and Bendo came in.. but Boetsch couldnt stay down! great night of fights.. I nearly put Pettis and Hioki on to make it a 7-fight.. and Im glad I didnt as I would be fuming right now.. Bendo vs Pettis 2 has got to be the next title fight.. its got a brilliant backstory to it and you know theyll put on a corker.. I do think Frankie should drop down to 145.. maybe give him a fight to get him a win under his belt before giving him the Aldo fight.. maybe give us Aldo vs Hioki and Edgar vs Mendes? I dont know.. Im just gutted that Boetsch robbed me

I wasnt implying that Rivera made a meal of it.. I think my point was lost a little in translation. I brought up the Koscheck incident because I feel that attempting to get your opponent a point deducted is as bad as intentionally doing something to get yourself a point deducted.. my point was that the Kos-incident was quickly swept under the carpet, and this hasnt been.. I wasnt trying to dodge the issue, I was making reference to another similar case (like everyone who has referenced Daley and Babalu).. I also think Rivera fought better after the knee, connected more with his punches and rocked Bisping.. but I wont deny that he looked wobbly and not 100% after he got up.. I dont see witholding money as a massive punishment really - he wont be out of pocket.. as far as I know they cant refuse to pay him his fight+win money so hell at least take home that $325k.. its a punishment, but I cant really see it affecting him in any major way.. if it means he gets a big money fight or two, im sure he'll find a way.. I dont think the general media response would be the same though.. and the doctor wanted to stop the fight - Rivera chose to continue, he obviously felt like he could do.. Anyway, If the knee was intentional then I think Bisping is an idiot.. but I struggle to believe that he would risk losing the fight and throw away everything just to knee him in the face.. its an incredibly stupid thing to do.. maybe its just me.. maybe Bisping really is that stupid.. I dont know..

If it gives us more Zack Ryder then Im up for it.. Im DZP (Down with Zack and Primo) - even though I think Primo looks more and more like Icarus (from CHIKARA) every time I see him..

Ive not seen the footage again seen watching the fight twice (live and the day after) so I may be wrong.. but from what I remember Bisping had the thai plum as Rivera got onto his knees.. went to throw a knee.. paused.. and then threw the knee.. that can be seen two ways.. either he gave it serious thought, and threw the knee intentionally.. or he knew not to throw the knee until he was up but grossly miss-timed it.. like I said earlier though, I dont think the knee is a major issue.. I remember when Koscheck feigned injury to an illegal knee (which missed) against Johnson at 106.. there was no uproar afterwards (well, nowhere near as big as this) and personally I think intentionally getting a point deducted from your opponent is on a similar level to getting one deducted from yourself intentionally.. the only reasonable punishment was the point deduction.. the UFC may withold some money from him but its highly unlikely theyll do anything more.. Id imagine theyll give him some sort of 'punishment' to make the media happy and get on with things.. Id imagine a Bisping/Sonnen fight would be big money so they wont miss the chance to pull the trigger whilst everyones talking about it.. the Daley and Babalu situations arent the same.. I meant that, for Bisping right now, all press is good press.. Sonnen calling him out and kicking up a massive fuss is a much better scenario than he wouldve been in had he just walked through Rivera in a uniform manner.. the spitting was a disgraceful act; but Bisping has made his apologies and I highly doubt he'd do it again.. and everyones made a mountain out of a molehill with the knee.. I stand by my view that if this was anybody else; we'd have all moved on by now..

for me it doesnt matter whether the knee was intentional or not.. hes already had his punishment.. he got a point taken away.. whether people think thats an adequate punishment or not is irrelevant, from my understanding its the only punishment on offer.. if it happens during the fight, the only person who can 'punish' him is the referee.. and he did.. he docked a point and gave Rivera the option of ending the fight.. if he'd got the TKO win and then kneed him in the face, then yeah fire his ass.. but it was during the fight.. if it was intentional then hes an idiot, as he couldve quite easily lost a fight that shouldve been (and was) an easy win... on the spitting thing.. its a stupid thing again.. and something I dont want to see in any sport.. but he does look like he spits in the direction of Rivera's cornerman, but not directly at him.. from what I saw anyway.. if he'd spat in the guys face then I wouldnt even attempt to defend it.. but as it is, ill say that if this was anyone other than Bisping, I dont think a massive deal wouldve been made of it.. just like if it was Bisping doing the same sort of videos about Rivera, it wouldve been a huge deal and Bisping wouldve got a ton of heat from every media source known to man.. if I was Bisping Id keep acting like a dick (within reason) as getting all this press has got to be good.. all press is good press after all.. if he gets a fight with either Belfort and Sonnen after all of this and can win, he had every right to get a title shot.. and theyre both big money fights in themselves.. tldr: the knee is irrelevant, the spitting was disgusting.. but all press is good press for Bisping..

I didnt notice him stalling more than usual with his 450... he always pauses for a moment before going for it.. but then I cant say I was looking for it.. so maybe youre right.. I think Gabriel would work well as both a face and a heel.. with his new beard, he definately looks more bad ass.. and he can pull off both set of mannerisms.. basically.. I really like Justin Gabriel and hope he has a long future in the WWE..

it might have been the week before the live show as well then.. all i can recall is being mightily pissed off and its not happened since.. ive been looking around for info on where Impact will be next week.. but ive come up empty so far.. only rumours, nothing concrete..

It was only the live show that we missed the main event of.. it was a Battle Royal I think.. we've been getting edited Impacts that show the full main event ever since.. the more important question is; where is Impact going to be show next week? as Bravo is shutting down... any ideas? they signed a two year deal earlier on this year so Sky will have to put it on somewhere..

so... Shields cant cut down to 170 any more.. thats pretty apparent.. DIEGO is back.. that sweep / slam combination was epic.. good fight.. Brock does not like getting hit in the face.. if he didnt fricking run away and throw himself backwards in a dazed roll he wouldnt get himself dominated.. If he didnt freak out every time he got touched hed be so much better.. Cain was very impressive all the same.. he should breeze through Dos Santos/everyone else.. Dana's face = lol however pretty darn good night of fights last night..

BISPING saves the day... even after his typical 'fast' start (he always has a shocking first round, yet still gets the 'fast starter' bullet point during his walkout).. hes actually looking better.. I know that it was only Akiyama tonight.. (I dont mean any disrespect to Sexyama, but he was coming in off a loss to Leben) but its another step in the right direction..

this is an awful night to be English.. Dan Hardy? I blame the beard.. if he'd shaved, his chin wouldve been stronger.. John Hathaway didnt look anything like the Hitman we saw beat on Diego.. and James Wilks has always been a tad awful.. Im a firm believer that his winning TUF was a fluke.. everything now rests on Michael Bisping.. lets hope hes as good as he thinks he is..

the guy raises a great point about Sting... what the hell was he doing all this time if he knew this was gonna happen? "act as heelish as possible so nobody believes you" - absolutely stupid booking.. as is Nash going over Joe.. I could list a whole host of other 'wtf?' booking decisions but most have already been covered.. Ill keep watching TNA, but my head will not thank me for it..

I know its designed to get people to watch Reaction.. but its really alienating UK fans (and any others who dont get Reaction) the last couple of weeks Ive though Impact has ended a little abrupt and its made me think that TNA are stupid.. my thoughts were 'I know you tape this weeks in advance, so why cant you edit it to fit two hours?' this live Impact was the first time I was made aware that it would overrun to Reaction.. so Ive had to download it just to see the end of Impact.. why not just run a 3 hour live Impact? silly decision if im honest.. I hope the extra viewers for Reaction are worth pissing off people not in the States.. oh, and on the notion of trying to get Bravo to pick up Reaction.. they dont even show the ppvs or Xplosion (theyre on Extreme Sports) so I doubt theyll bother with Reaction..

hes definately improved since the first Maynard fight.. and he hasnt got that knock out power to really stop Maynard from going for the takedown.. its gonna go 5 rounds thats for sure..and unfortunately Maynard is probably gonna take the decision.. Edgar is a great fighter.. I really enjoy his work ethic.. and hes very smooth on the feet.. he just doesnt have that knockout power to threaten Maynard...

I thought that promo was absolutely shocking, poorly written garbage.. none of it made sense.. and thats in a 'ive not a clue what was said, let alone does it make sense in a kayfabe' way.. Undertaker seemed to be falling over his words and getting mixed up.. now if that was the point, to sell his 'injuries' - ie, the pathetic cough.. then it didnt come across that way.. it came across as a poor promo..

just watched Raw.. and it might just be me.. but are the crowd reactions getting louder by the week.. in particular during the Nexus vs WWE angle, but in general as well.. the crowd just seems much louder than it has been recently.. im not talking 1999 levels of loud.. it might just be the way the WWE are filming Raw now.. but the crowd seems louder and more 'into it'.. its probably the way its being presented more than the fans getting noticably louder.. but little things like the hard camera shaking from the crowd reaction.. it just seemed different to me this week than it has in recent weeks..

While this is true on the surface, ive got to believe at least Justin Gabriel will stay around as well.. he has a distinct selling point in his 450 finisher and hits it all the time..
