  4. Road to Capital Clash 4 Date: Fri W4 April 2021 Location: Oxford Arena, Texas [Mid South] Attendance: 825 people Broadcast on Wrestleworld: 17,991 viewers Dark matches: Storm Front [Juana, Alexis & Sonnaz] def. Unstoppable Tai, Millie the Minx & Danger Mushashibo [49] Ronin3 [Tameka & Toni] def. 2 San Diego Girls [Coco & Izzy] [48] Tag Team Match Las Amazonas [Pinky & Mariana] vs. Darkness Cat & Estrella Blanca The match begins with a display of mutual respect as all four competitors engage in a friendly handshake. Pinky, making her return from a shoulder injury, shows determination despite concerns of possible ring rust. The bell rings, signaling the start of the high-flying spectacle. Darkness Cat and Estrella Blanca took the fight to their opponents, launching themselves off the ropes with gravity-defying springboard maneuvers. The audience gasps in awe as Darkness Cat executes a breathtaking corkscrew plancha, taking out both members of Las Amazonas on the outside. Estrella Blanca follows suit with a graceful Asai moonsault, and the crowd are on their feet for this hot opener. Pinky sells her shoulder as Cat rolls her back into the ring; but showing remarkable resilience uses her agility to dodge a series of attacks, evading Darkness Cat’s weak strikes and countering with a dazzling double rotation headscissors takedown. The crowd get behind Pinky even more when she follows up with a tight victory roll pin for a close 2 count. However, Pinky remains cautious of her shoulder, and tags out to Mariana who continues the match; but the crowd grow restless and begin to chant for Pinky to return. Something that does not go unnoticed by a visibly put out Mariana. The finish comes with the “Doble Impacto” which sees Mariana hoist Blanca into an Electric Chair and Pinky scores a blind tag followed by a diving blockbuster from the top rope. Las Amazonas celebrate together as commentary notes they’ll be facing the COTT Women’s World Champion, Maribel Mercado, and a partner of her choosing at Capital Clash. Winners: Las Amazonas via pin 12:14 [57] Decent wrestling, but little heat Strong start to the show Pinky Perez carried the entire match [as usual] As Las Amazonas are celebrating in the ring, QAW's interviewer, Dharma Gregg, gets into the ring to interview the former QAW tag champs... Dharma: QAW faithful, I’m here with the victorious team of Las Amazonas-- Pinky and Mariana! What an excellent match! Pinky, you have officially returned from a shoulder injury, how are you feeling? Pinky: Thank you, Dharma! It feels amazing to be back in action and to have the support of these incredible fans. [Pinky pauses to give space for more cheering from the crowd] Pinky: But, there is unfinished business that needs to be settled now that I’m back. Dharma: You must be talking about Maribel Mercado; she was responsible for pushing you off the turnbuckle back in February ultimately costing you the QAW World Tag Team titles, and also forcing you to vacate the COTT Women’s World Championship. Which she now holds... Pinky: That’s right, Dharma. Maribel, it’s true we’ve had our fair share of problems south of the border in CILL. But following me to QAW to cost us the tag belts, and ultimately costing me the COTT belt. It doesn’t make sense. And at this point, it doesn’t need to because I’m not going to rest until I’ve settled the score with you in the ring. Consider this a warning, Maribel, I’m taking back the COTT Women’s World Championship. Dharma: Strong words, Pinky! And Mariana, as Pinky’s tag team partner, you’ve shown incredible loyalty in her absence by fighting Maribel for the title last month. How do you feel about the fan reaction tonight? [Mariana seems momentarily taken aback by the line of questioning] Mariana: Well, it’s no secret that Pinky has an undeniable connection with the fans. But don’t forget, I’ve been here, giving my all week after week. It’s disheartening at times, but I won’t let that deter me from continuing to prove my worth. Pinky: Mariana, you know I appreciate everything you do for our team. You held the fort down and the fans see the same incredible competitor I do. Isn’t that right?! [Pinky amps up the crowd who give Mariana an ovation as well. Mariana wipes away a tear as Pinky embraces her in the ring] Dharma: Such a powerful statement of unity! Is there anything else you’d like to say to the fans? Pinky: Thank you for your support! It fuels us and we promise to keep delivering! And Maribel, at Capital Clash, you are going to get a taste of Las Amazonas and regret ever making the trip to the United States! Shine that belt up! [33] Mariana struggled with this promo In the backstage area, Suzanne Brazzle, adorned in her white robe and wearing the QAW World Championship belt, spots Miss Mexico reviewing match footage on her tablet. She approaches her with a sickly sweet smile... Brazzle: Oh, Miss Mexico, my dear! How wonderful it is to see you once again. The memories of our time together in AAA still warm my heart. You were always such a force to be reckoned with. [MM looks up from her tablet, unimpressed] Mexico: Cut the act, Brazzle. What do you want? Brazzle: [Maintaining her saccharine smile] Act? Can't a champion extend a friendly warning? Mexico: [Crosses her arms, unconvinced] Warning? About what? Brazzle: [Leaning in, her voice dripping with faux concern] You see, my dear Miss Mexico, I've been observing your involvement with Pamela, and I can't help but worry for you. She's walking a dangerous path, and those who align with her are bound to suffer the consequences. Mexico: [Raises an eyebrow, showing a hint of amusement] Is that so? Shouldn’t you be worried about yourself? [Brazzle pauses, momentarily rattled by MM's nonchalant response, then quickly composes herself] Brazzle: You misunderstand. I have only genuine concern for your well-being. You’ve built a legendary career, an esteemed reputation, and a cushy backstage role here. Surely you want to carry that through into my vision for QAW? Miss Mexico: [Laughs softly, shaking her head] Brazzle, you truly are delusional if you think I would abandon someone I've mentored and nurtured, just to bask in your twisted version of success. I may have retired from in-ring competition, but my loyalty lies with those who deserve it, not with manipulators like you. [Brazzle’s smile wavers for a moment, annoyance flickering in her eyes more clearly this time] Brazzle: Suit yourself... But, opportunities like this don’t come knocking twice. You may regret your decision someday, Rosa. Mexico: [Stands tall, her voice firm] I’ve made my choice; I don't need your warnings or your twisted concern. I know exactly what I'm doing, Suzy. Brazzle: [Her smile falters completely, revealing her anger] Very well. If you insist on ignoring my advice, so be it. But remember, when the storm comes crashing down upon QAW, don't say I didn't warn you. [Brazzle glares at Miss Mexico but decides to leave, her sickly sweet facade gone] [35] This got the crowd hotter Brazzle worked the segment superbly, she had the crowd eating out of her hand Miss Mexico on the other hand struggled Tag Team Match /with The Clenched Fist [Diamond & Luck] vs. Tex-Mex [Houston & Teresa] w/ Ash Grover The team of Tex-Mex makes their way to the ring, accompanied by their loyal friend, Ash Grover. They exude determination to prove themselves as seasoned veterans in the world of QAW. Their opponents Black Diamond and Felicia Luck are looking to make a name for themselves. At the bell, Teresa squares of against Diamond and wastes no time, immediately taking control of the ring. Despite Diamond looking every inch the muscular specimen, she lacks the ring time to keep up with Teresa’s technical and aerial maneuvers, and is outsmarted at every turn. The story remains the same when they tag out. Houston, the brawler of the team, slices through Felicia’s grappling and batters her with ugly, but effective, strikes. Despite their best efforts, Diamond and Luck struggle to find an answer to Tex-Mex and with each comeback, Tex-Mex cuts them off with a combination of teamwork and individual prowess. The veterans seem determined to make a statement, leaving no doubt they belong on the main card. In the closing moments, Teresa flew into a head-scissors armbar on Diamond in the middle of the ring. The image of the much smaller Teresa wrenching the larger Diamond down to the mat woke the crowd up who chanted for the tap; Houston took out Felicia from interfering and upon seeing that Diamond knew her fate was sealed and collapsed to the mat admitting defeat. Winners: Tex-Mex via submission 10:15 [46] Sub-par wrestling with little heat Still got the crowd hotter though... Black Diamond struggled to keep up Suddenly! [As Tex-Mex are celebrating in the ring, the QAW World Tag Team Champions slide into the ring and launch a sudden ambush, ruthlessly assaulting them. On the outside, Ash is blindsided by the Fallen Angel's muscle, Steph Blake, who unleashes a relentless assault, pummeling her without mercy. Back in the ring, Lilly and Rose, the QAW World Tag Team Champions, execute their devastating finisher known as the "Thorn" - a Double Impaler DDT. Teresa and Houston are left motionless, knocked out cold by the impact. Ash is rolled into the ring by Steph, and at this moment, the QAW World Champion, Suzanne Brazzle, makes her grand entrance. She glides to the ring with an air of superiority, directing Steph to hold Ash steady. A brief exchange of words ensues, unheard by the audience, as Ash struggles one last time before Steph wrenches her into a front facelock. The crowd watches in anticipation as the "Mistress of the DDT" executes a lightning-fast snap DDT, driving Ash into the mat with punishing force It becomes apparent that The Line has discovered the formidable opponents Commissioner Bomb has booked for them at Capital Clash...] Trios Match The Furies [Emma, Honey & Marie] vs. Olivia Diamond, Calamity Jane & Nayima Khan The match kicks off and Emma immediately takes charge, showcasing her technical skills. She grabs Calamity Jane's arm and transitions into a quick arm drag, sending her opponent to the mat. Emma swiftly transitions into an armbar, applying pressure and testing Jane's resilience. The crowd cheers as Emma expertly manipulates her opponent's joints; Jane wastes no time in creating space and tagging out to Olivia much to Emma’s disappointment, who also tags out to Honey. Honey Badger wastes no time in living up to her name. A street fighter at heart, she lunges forward with a powerful haymaker punch, staggering Olivia Diamond. Honey Badger follows up with a series of rapid-fire strikes—a knee to the midsection, an elbow to the jaw, and a forearm smash to the kidney. As Olivia clutches her side in pain, Marie has already tagged in and delivers a lightning-fast roundhouse kick to Olivia’s mid-section, causing her to double over in pain. Marie follows up with an axe kick that flattens Olivia to the mat. Behind her, Nayima leans through the ropes to protest but is caught by a lightning-fast jab, snapping her head back and making her regret getting involved. Throughout the match, The Furies maintain a no-nonsense approach, efficiently tagging in and out, always in control. Emma's leadership shines as she guides her team, coordinating their attacks and ensuring they exploit their opponents' weaknesses. The jobbers attempt to rally and turn the tide, but The Furies' seamless teamwork and relentless offense prove insurmountable. As the match nears its climax, Emma calls for the finish, rallying her team for one last devastating display. She applies a textbook-perfect Crossface submission hold on Calamity Jane, stretching her neck and shoulder to the limit. Honey Badger delivers a devastating knee strike to the face of Olivia Diamond, leaving her sprawled on the canvas. Marie Punnen lands a thunderous roundhouse kick to Nayima Khan's head, sending her crashing to the mat. Jane has no choice but to tap. Winners: The Furies via submission 10:03 [52] Decent wrestling, but little heat Emma carried the match in terms of performance, and looked excellent in the ring The scene takes place in a dimly lit lounge which doubles as the Clenched Fist's headquarters. Hellcat Hernandez sits at a table, nursing a drink while sporting a recently healed wired jaw. Maribel Mercado bursts into the room, her frustration evident on her face... Maribel: Hellcat! Where is Unstoppable Tai? I need my personal bodyguard for the tag match at Capital Clash! This is unacceptable! [Hellcat raises an eyebrow, her expression stoic yet menacing. Felicia Luck, standing nearby, steps forward as Hellcat's intermediary] Felicia: Maribel, relax. Unstoppable Tai is booked over in Japan. But don't worry, Hellcat has someone in mind to take care of you. [Maribel narrows her eyes and shoos Felicia to one side] Maribel: I don’t want any of your job squad, Hellcat. If Tai isn’t around then I want you. I know you’re cleared to compete! [Hellcat slowly stands up, her presence commanding attention. She takes a step forward, her eyes lock onto Maribel] Hellcat: So demanding... [Maribel crosses her arms, a mischievous glint in her eyes] Maribel: You know me so well. I don't just need anyone. I need someone who can handle the game, someone cunning and dangerous like you. Hellcat: [leaning in] You do have a taste for the dangerous, don't you? But remember, my services come at a higher price. Maribel: I’m sure we can figure something out-- [Ashley Keith enters the room, her head held high. She observes the interaction, intrigued by the power play] Ashley: Hellcat, I’m struggling to recruit a tag partner for this weekend. So, I need to speak with you... [Hellcat glances at Ashley, her gaze intense and calculating] Hellcat: Oh? Ashley: Be my partner and you get another shot at Alina America; the woman who wired your jaw shut these past few months. Lets work together and teach her, and Danielle Sweetheart, a lesson they will never forget. [Hellcat's lips curl into a wicked smile, her interest fully captured] Maribel: Hey! I’m afraid your a little late, Ashley! Hellcat has agreed to be my partner at Capital Clash. Sorry! [Felicia pipes up from the shadows] Felicia: Actually, you didn’t agree on a-- Maribel: No one asked you! Dios mio! I’m a loyal customer of this “business”, where is the loyalty back?! Ashley: [raising an eyebrow] Maribel, why would Hellcat want to take on Las Amazonas? Two women she’s never crossed paths with when she has the chance to take on her actual rivals? Maribel: I don’t know; why would she want to take on the woman who beat her ass last time they met? [Maribel winces when she realises what she said in front of Hellcat who turns her back to Maribel and shakes Ashley’s hand] Hellcat: [grinning] Ashley, you've piqued my interest. The chance to get back at Alina is too enticing to pass up. Consider it a deal. Maribel: [pouting] What do you mean? I need someone to protect me! [As Maribel finishes her sentence, “Miss Perfection” Fuyuko Higa enters the scene; as Fuyuko's presence fills the room, a subtle shift in the atmosphere can be felt. Hellcat's eyes narrow slightly, a hint of unease creeping into her demeanor as she faces the leader of the Japanese syndicate of the Clenched Fist] Hellcat: [with a hint of hostility] Fuyuko. What brings you here? I didn't realise you had an interest in matters concerning my territory. Fuyuko: [with a wry smile] I noticed Ashley heading in here and I was concerned about what poison she might be saying to my… Colleagues. [Hellcat's jaw clenches, her fists tightening as she meets Fuyuko's gaze. The underlying power struggle between the two leaders becomes palpable] Ashley: [firmly] I didn't realise you had an interest in my affairs still. Don’t you have enough on your plate rebuilding your record after I took your 5SSW World Tag Team titles? Fuyuko: [smirking] I don’t know what I’m more annoyed about; the fact that happened or the fact you went on to have the worst reign in 5SSW history. [As the conversation between Hellcat, Ashley, and Fuyuko unfolds, Maribel's sharp instincts kick in, sensing an opportunity to benefit from the situation] Maribel: Well, it seems Hellcat has made her decision! But, I didn’t know you were available Fuyuko! I’ve seen your last few matches and you are one dangerous woman. Perhaps you’d be interested in teaming up with someone who appreciates your talents fully? Fuyuko: I don’t sell my services like some second-rate mercenary. Why should I consider such an offer, Maribel? [Maribel is caught off guard by Fuyuko’s response] Maribel: Well… Fuyuko: You’re the COTT World Women’s Champion, right? Maribel: Right… Fuyuko: [calmly] Then maybe there is something in it for me after all. I’ll team with you at Capital Clash. [Maribel tries to interrupt Fuyuko’s exit but falters, slightly blindsided by the implication of Fuyuko’s words] Hellcat: Well, looks like everyone got what they wanted... [45] Ashley came out of this looking excellent The performance of Fuyuko stood out as good Hellcat improvised very well Maribel enjoyed the freedom of going off script and performed well Ashley & Higa were ALSO superb and had the crowd in their hands Singles Match /with Little Miss Perfect vs. "Red Alert" Pamela Rojo w/ Miss Mexico Pamela Rojo and Little Miss Perfect step into the ring for a high-stakes singles match; Miss Mexico stands at ringside, offering support and encouragement to Rojo. The referee signals for the bell, and the match begins. Rojo, utilising her size and strength advantage, starts the match with a display of power. She executes a series of impactful strikes staggering Little Miss Perfect. Rojo follows up with a powerful scoop slam, showcasing her dominance in the early exchanges. However, Little Miss Perfect's agility and cunning come into play as she evades Rojo's attacks with quick footwork and agility. She counters with a lightning-fast arm drag takedown, catching Rojo off guard. Little Miss Perfect capitalises on the opportunity, targeting Rojo's arm with a combination of joint locks and arm wrenches, trying to weaken her explosive strikes. As the match progresses, Rojo's intensity grows, fueled by her desire to challenge Suzanne Brazzle. She fights through the pain, powering out of Little Miss Perfect's submissions and retaliating with a stalling vertical suplex, shaking the ring. Rojo maintains control with a series of power moves, including a gorilla press slam and lawn-darting LMP into the turnbuckle. Meanwhile, Little Miss Perfect, aware of the stakes and her own precarious position with the Fallen Angels, resorts to underhanded tactics. She takes advantage of the referee's distractions, raking Rojo's eyes and pulling hair. These cheap shots momentarily slow down Rojo's momentum and give Little Miss Perfect an opening to regain control. Throughout the match, Miss Mexico at ringside provides vocal support for Rojo, rallying the crowd behind her. Rojo draws strength from this encouragement, summoning her resilience and fighting spirit. She fights back, countering Little Miss Perfect's cheating tactics with a sudden burst of offense. Rojo delivers a thunderous clothesline followed by a stiff sliding lariat. Little Miss Perfect seems a little loopy as Rojo drags her up to finish her off with the “Big Red” [Powerslam]. Post-match, Rojo and Mexico celebrate in the ring together. The referee helps a worse-for-wear and tearful Little Miss Perfect make her way to the backstage area. Winner: Pamela via pin 12:03 [50] Decent wrestling match Show Rating: 49

In contrast, Selina exudes an unrelenting aggression, unleashing a barrage of strikes and targeted attacks to exploit any weakness she detects. Sonnaz finds herself on the receiving end of Selina's calculated assault, struggling to counter the ferocity of her opponent. Juana helps Sonnaz navigate the match from the apron, providing guidance and support, eventually resulting in a tag. Juana's ring awareness and technical proficiency enable her to create openings and turn the tide in her team's favor whenever possible. However, the true star of the match emerges in the form of Talia Quinzel. Her physicality and commanding presence captivates the audience with each devastating move. Talia's utilisation of her size advantage allows her to execute an array of backbreakers. As the match intensifies, the contrasts between the teams become even more apparent. Storm Front's chemistry is tested as Sonnaz's inexperience hinders their coordination, while The Uprising's slick and calculated teamwork allows them to maintain control and capitalise on their opponents' weaknesses. Chaos erupts at ringside when Felicia Luck makes her way to the ring with a steel chair. Before her intentions are made clear she is intercepted from behind by Alexis Lee Littlefeather and is dragged kicking and screaming to the back. As everyone is fixated on this, Hellcat Hernandez emerges from beneth the ring, her fist wrapped in a metal chain, and clocks Sonnaz in the head. The referee doesn’t spot it and Selina swoops in and locks in her scissored armbar submission “The Svelte Scissorlock” [Fka. Prawn armbar]. Sonnaz is already unconscious from the chain shot and the refereee immediately calls the match. As Juana checks on Sonnaz with great concern, The Uprising stand tall with their arms raised. Winners: The Uprising via submission 15:52 [56] Decent wrestling but not much heat Sonnaz was the weak link struggling to keep up. The match got the crowd hotter and the show off to a strong start We find ourselves backstage where the QAW World Champion, Suzanne Brazzle and the QAW Shockwave Champion, Christy Higgins, are talking outside the Fallen Angels lockerroom. They are quickly interrupted by Little Miss Perfect desperately seeking their attention… Christy Higgins, Suzanne Brazzle & Little Miss Perfect LMP: Um, excuse me, Suzanne, Christy. I... I was hoping to talk to you both. Christy: What do you want now, Sarah? Can't you see we're busy? Suzanne: It’s okay. What's troubling you, my dear? Speak up, don't be shy. LMP: Well, you see, Suzanne, Christy... I... I still want to believe we're friends. We worked together in AAA. I know you didn’t include me in your Fallen Angels plans because I was already here… But… Christy: What you mean is you burned bridges with everybody here, and now you think the Fallen Angels are your only chance at friendship? [LMP wells up with tears] LMP: I-I know, Christy. But I don’t have anyone else. Whatever I did to upset you? I’m sorry. I’m begging you, don’t turn your back on me completely. Suzanne: Oh, you're quite the interesting case, aren't you? Tell me, what makes you think you deserve a place among the Fallen Angels? LMP: I... I'll do anything, Suzanne. I'll prove myself. Just give me a chance. I know I messed up, but I can change. I can be loyal, strong, and dedicated. I can be a true Fallen Angel. [Christy subconsciously clutches the Shockwave belt] Christy: She’s a liability. We don't need someone like her tarnishing the reputation of the Fallen Angels. Suzanne: Christy, dear, I'll be the judge of that. Little Miss Perect, you're right. People deserve second chances, and it's time for you to prove yourself… Christy has a match against Pamela Rojo at Capital Clash, and I think Commissioner Bomb would be moved by your request to take on Pamela Rojo next week. It would be a real confidence boost for Christy to see you win ahead of their match. LMP: Thank you, Suzanne! I won't let you down. I'll show you that I can be an asset to the Fallen Angels! Christy: [Under her breath] Unbelievable... [Christy side eyes Suzanne as LMP walks away with a glimmer of hope] [37] We shift to Commissioner Bomb’s office; Bomb, known for her devious nature, is sitting behind her desk, engrossed in her work when The Line: Ash Grover, Teresa Perez, and Houston Handley, barge into her office, frustrated and determined... Ash: Commissioner Bomb, we reckon we need to have a serious talk with ya. We've been more patient than a Texas sunset, but we're dang tired of bein' kept in the shadows! Teresa: Sí, Commissioner. It's been a solid six months since we've had a chance to shine on the main show. We've been giving our all in them dark matches, and it's time you give us the recognition we deserve! Houston: You see, Commissioner, we've been ropin' and ridin' like true champions, yet you're treatin' us like we're just tumbleweeds blowin' in the wind. You left “Tex-Mex” out of the tag team tournament?! It ain't right, and it ain't fair! [Bomb grins mischieviously] Bomb: Well, well, well, if it ain't The Line, all fired up and ready to raise a ruckus for once. But-- [Ash standing tall, interrupts Bomb] Ash: Commissioner, we're callin' out this situation. There have been rumours that you're behind Farrah Hesketh's removal and the rise of the Fallen Angels. And now it seems like you're deliberately keeping us away from the main show, trying to erase Hesketh's legacy. Teresa: We've seen the way you've favoured certain individuals and manipulated things to suit your own agenda. [Bomb leans back in her chain, not giving anything away] Bomb: Aren’t you a spirited bunch today. But let me make one thing clear: I’m the one who makes the decisions around here. Maybe when Farrah was around you got some favourable treatment yourselves! But in this business there are "main show talent" and "warm up acts". And in my expert opinion? You’re a warm up act. And that’s why you’ve been in dark matches. [The Line are momentarily stunned until Teresa steels herself] Teresa: We’re two time QAW Tag Champions [gestures towards Houston]. You can try to keep us in the shadows, Commissioner, but we won't be ignored. We won't back down until we get the opportunities we've earned. Bomb: Don’t get me wrong! I’m open to finding a resolution to this issue. So, lets see if you can prove yourselves worth of that main show spotlight. How about a match at Capital Clash? Ash: We're more than ready to show you what we're made of, Commissioner. [Bomb smirks, enjoying the confrontation] Bomb: Well, let me find you some opponents! And consider this your chance. Show me what you’re truly made of. But remember, actions speak louder than words, darlings. The balls in your court now. [42] Teresa has a stale gimmick QAW Shockwave Championship /with Christy Higgins © vs. Skye Hermosa w/ Kira Lee In a fast-paced and hard-hitting contest, Skye Hermosa, accompanied by her CZCW ally Kira Lee, challenged for the Shockwave Championship. A reward gained through the COTT alliance after her shocking victory over USPW-alum Tiffany Jade. From the opening bell, Christy controlled the match with underhand tactics that left Skye struggling to find an answer. Skye, known for her agility, attempted to gain momentum with high-flying maneuvers, but Christy shut them down through her ring awareness which allowed her to counter with impactful brawling and calculated aggression. As the match reached it’s climax, Christy delivered the Florida Upswing [Sliced Bread #2] that flattened Skye to the mat for the three count. Winner: Christy via pin 09:44 – Defence 2 [47] Decent wrestling but not much heat Singles Match "Miss Perfection" Fuyuko Higa vs. Millie the Minx In a one-sided contest, Fuyuko Higa, demonstrated her dominance over the hesitant Millie the Minx. From the moment the bell rang, it was clear that Fuyuko was in control. At the bell, Fuyuko wastes no time and charges towards Millie with lightning speed and unleashes a series of blistering strikes. Her kicks find their marks, crashing into Millie’s chest and ribs, causing her to stagger backward gasping for breath. As Millie tries to regain her composure, Fuyuko drags her into a couple of snap suplexes, before hoisting Millie into the air and dropping into a brutal brainbuster that garners a big reaction from the crowd as Millie’s body folds into the mat. However, Fuyuko does not go for the cover and opts to maintain her dominance with a relentless ground game. She locks in a tight armbar, torquing at Millie’s arm but opts to release the submission and it this point it becomes clear she is treating Millie as practice. For the rest of the match, Fuyuko toys with Millie transitioning from move to move, taking Millie to the limit and then backing off. Unfortunately, the crowd don’t rally behind Millie and start to grow bored of Fuyuko’s antics; she tries to get them back into the match but it isn’t enough. With a final burst of aggression, Fuyuko delivers a devastating spinning backfist that connects with Millie’s jaw. Not content with just one strike, Fuyuko lifts Millie to her knees and finishes her with a thunderous roundhouse kick that echoes through the hall. Millie crumples to the mat and Fuyuko makes a lazy cover. Winner: Fuyuko via pin 07:59 [48] Decent wrestling but not much heat Fuyuko & Millie have great chemistry Got the crowd hotter We find ourselves back in Commissioner Bomb’s office where she is seated behind her desk, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. Across from her, Foxxy Larue crosses her legs with a confident swagger... Foxxy: Look here, Commissioner. I've busted my ass for that world championship shot and it's high time I get what's rightfully mine. Bomb: Foxxy, I understand your frustration. You think you deserve that title shot, and you’ve got a point. But you see, we have to be cautious. There are... Delicate matters at play here. Things that could disrupt the balance we’re trying to build. You wouldn't want certain secrets to be exposed, would you? [Foxxy’s confident facade falters for a moment] Foxxy: I hear you loud and clear, Commissioner. But let's not forget, we did each other a favour. So, in my book, we're even. [Commissioner Bomb raises an eyebrow, silently emphasizing the favour she's holding over Foxxy] Bomb: I see! Now, with that said, let's not get ahead of ourselves. I understand your desire, but I have to take everything into consideration. Your record last year was, well, average at best. And this year, a tag team victory? Impressive? Sure. But it takes more than that to earn a shot at the top. [On cue, Emma May barges into the office] Emma: Looks like the meeting started without me! Foxxy: Who invited you? Bomb: Emma, you always have impeccable timing. We were just discussing the complexities of championship opportunities. [Foxxy and Emma exchange glances, tension building between them, but Commissioner Bomb quickly steps in, asserting her control] Bomb: Ladies, let's remember the consequences of trashing my office. A suspension, perhaps? Now, I believe there's some unfinished business between you two. Emma: Unfinished? Oh, you bet. I've got a receipt with your name on it. [Emma cracks her knuckles, a smirk spreading across her face] Foxxy: Girl, you think you can intimidate me? Think again. Bomb: So! Both Ronin3 and The Furies haven’t lost a trios match this year. You are the respective leaders of these factions. So how about at Capital Clash we see which faction is the better one! Foxxy: Please. We won’t be sweating “The Flops”. Ever. You clowns are running around acting like you’re MMA fighters but can’t tell the difference between an Octagon and an Octopus. Facts are facts. Emma: This coming from the woman who single handedly ruined QAW's most famous faction of all time? I mean, how did it feel getting bitched out by The Line all year? [Foxxy and Emma square up but Commissioner Bomb gets inbetween them] Bomb: Now, now, ladies. Save the fireworks for Capital Clash; You'll have a chance to settle the score and prove your worth. And after that, well, let's just say the world title shot might become a more viable conversation for one of you. [67] Bomb worked the scene superbly Foxxy also worked well, and the crowd enjoyed her catchphrase Tag Team Match /with Ronin3 [Tameka & Toni] w/ Vinny Cruz vs. "The Queen of Hearts" Danielle Sweetheart & "The Face of QAW" Alina America An intriguing main event sees an intriguing match up. The monstrous newcomer Tameka Sky; billed at 6’7 [closer to 6’2 but it’s pro wrestling after all] looked set for a big impact after her debut in January but was quickly derailed with an injury after just three matches. She was representing Ronin3 alongside the tag veteran Toni Parisi against Alina and Danielle. The match begins with Tameka Sky asserting her dominance, her towering presence intimidating even Alina America and Danielle Sweetheart. Tameka's raw power and size advantage become evident as she effortlessly tosses her opponents around the ring, executing thunderous slams and bone-rattling clotheslines. Alina and Danielle find themselves outmatched, struggling to find an answer to Tameka’s overwhelming strength. However, Alina and Dani refused to back down. Alina, with lighting-fast agility, finds openings in Tameka’s inexperienced game. She springs off the ropes with hit and run attacks. But gets caught in attempting a hurricanrana and Tameka reverses the momentum sending Alina spinning through the air landing in a heap. Toni barks instructions from the apron and tags in to pick the bones. However, Alina gets an early hot tag to Danielle who gets into a brawling match as there is no love-lost between them. Danielle scores an array of suplexes and a textbook DDT for a close 2-count. As the match progress, the contrast between Tameka’s power and Alina and Dani’s combined experience and technique becomes more evident. Alina and Dani utilise a cat-and-mouse game, evading Tameka and executing double-team maneuvers, targeting the legs and chopping down the tree. At one point Vinny Cruz tries to get involved but he is quickly taken out by a drop kick from Alina. Inside the ring, Dani showcases her power and hits a resounding spine buster on Toni, before transitioning into a ground-and-pound assault. Her strikes find their mark, leaving Toni gasping for breath. As Danielle signals for the superkick, Alina wipes Tameka and Vinny out by leaping from the top turnbuckle to the outside. Just as Toni finds her feet, Dani executes a picture-perfect superkick that catches Toni flush in the face. Instead of going for the finish, she tags out to Alina who climbs up and lands the split-legged moonsault for the victory. Winners: Alina & Dani via pin 16:42 [57] Decent match Toni & Vinny had good chemistry Alina and Danielle stand in the centre of the ring, the crowd buzzing with anticipation. Alina's eyes sparkle with enthusiasm, while Danielle maintains a calm and focused demeanour… Alina: [With dramatic flair and exaggerated gestures] QAW faithful, behold the Face of QAW, the embodiment of passion and justice! Ashley Keith, listen closely to my words, for they come from the depths of my corazón! You certainly caught me off guard with your sneaky tactics. But let me make one thing clear: a little bump on the road won't keep me down! [Alina shakes her arm, gesturing that her elbow injury has fully healed] Alina: But seriously, Ashley, you’ve got a lot to learn about respect and patience in this business. You're in such a rush to climb that ladder of success that you're forgetting the most important rule: you've got to earn it! So at Capital Clash, we challenge you, Ashley, to a match of epic proportions! In the squared circle, where heroines are made and dreams come true! [Danielle nods, displaying her level-headedness as she steps forward] Danielle: We've worked hard to get where we are, Ashley, and we won't let anyone undermine our efforts. So, consider this a warning. Accept Alina's challenge, step into the ring with us, and be prepared to face the consequences of your actions. [The crowd erupts in applause and anticipation as Alina raises her fist, her voice filled with determination] Alina: Can you prove to us you're more than just a famous name? Or will you crumble under the weight of your own ego? [Danielle and Alina stand united, waiting for Ashley's response, their eyes locked on the entrance ramp, as the audience holds its breath until Ashley’s music hits and the “Queen of Professional Wrestling” emerges…] Ashley: Oh, Alina, Danielle, how adorable. You two are so convinced that you're the ones who've earned your stripes, huh? Well, let me tell you something. The name Keith carries a legacy in this industry, and I intend to honour it. [The crowd reacts with a mix of cheers and boos, acknowledging the weight of Ashley's family name] Ashley: You see, I don’t care what you think because absolutely nothing is going to stop me. I’m young, hungry, and I’ve got the time to embarrass you. And if you two self-proclaimed heroes want to get in my way, then so be it. [Ashley smirks, raising her microphone again] Ashley: So consider your challenge accepted. I’ll find myself a partner. But remember, when you step in that ring with me, you'll realise that my reign is brutal. Get ready to bow down to the Queen! [The crowd erupts with excitement as the tension between the three competitors hangs in the air] [60] Danielle & Ashley enjoyed the freedom of no script and performed well Show Rating: 57

Millie the Minx & The Rage [48] The Caribbean Angels def 2 San Diego Girls [37] The broadcast opens with the lights dimming, and the eerie sound of a church bell tolls. New, ominous music plays signalling the arrival of Suzanne Brazzle, flanked by her loyal followers, the Fallen Angels. Suzanne takes the centre stage and addresses the crowd with a wide, unnerving smile... Christy Higgins, Steph Blake, Suzanne Brazzle, Kate Lilly & Debbie Rose Brazzle: You know, my dear fans, it takes more than just raw talent to be a champion. It takes winning mindset. The kind of mindset that I possess, and that each and every one of you should aspire to have. [The crowd murmurs in unease, sensing something off about her words, but Suzanne carries on undaunted] Brazzle: Some of you have been flooding my social media saying I only choose easy opponents to defend my title against. That I’m not really a true champion. Well, let me remind you, as the new figuredhead of QAW, I am the gatekeeper of this championship, and I will only allow the best of the best to step in the ring with me. [The boos and jeers grow louder, but Suzanne ignores them, her voice rising in a sickly-sweet tone] Brazzle: I’m not just here to defend my title. I'm here to make history. To cement my reign as the greatest champion this promotion has ever seen. And I won't let anyone stand in my way because I have sacrificed too much to get us here. Our livlihoods were destroyed when our beloved AAA was taken for us, and for what? [The crowd boos louder, chanting "QAW! QAW!" which seems to momentarily disrupt Suzanne’s demeanour] Brazzle: Oh, you can chant all you want, you poor sheep. But you can't stop what's coming. The Fallen Angels have taken matters into our own hands. The Fallen Angels have a new home in QAW. And we're not just here to make up the numbers. We're here to dominate. To show everyone what real wrestling is all about. [Suzanne walks down the ramp and directs the Fallen Angels to block Lady San Juan and Miss Havana from exiting the ringside area, having just competed in a dark match] Brazzle: But do not despair, children. I have decided that one of you are worthy of stepping into the ring with me. You will get to witness firsthand what it takes to be a true champion. So who will it be? Who has the guts to step up to the challenge? Who wants to face the greatest champion QAW has ever seen? [31] The promo got the crowd hot QAW World Championship "Miracle Challenge" /with /with "Miraculous" Suzanne Brazzle © w/ Steph Blake vs. Lady San Juan w/ Miss Havana Suzanne ordered her stablemates to the back except for her bodyguard Steph Blake. In the end Lady San Juan appeared to have won whatever discussion, or argument, to face the champion. The match between Brazzle and Lady San Juan was set to be a clash of styles. Brazzle, a veteran wrestler with years of experience, had the edge in technical skill and she was confident that she could control the pace of the match and outsmart her opponent. Lady San Juan, on the other hand, was a luchadora with a lot of charisma and flashy moves in her arsenal. She already had a reputation for being an exciting wrestler, but she had not yet fully mastered the more nuanced aspects of the sport. As the match began, Brazzle wasted no time in taking control. She used her technical expertise to ground Lady San Juan and prevent her from unleashing her aerial offense. Despite her best efforts, Lady San Juan was unable to gain the upper hand. She had just wrestled a match and was visibly fatigued, which Brazzle was quick to take advantage of. She taunted her opponent and played to the crowd, drawing heat as she easily dominated Lady San Juan, but the crowd soon grew restless as LSJ was clearly not going to win. As the match wore on, Lady San Juan continued to fight back with bursts of athleticism and strength. She managed to hit a few flashy moves and get the crowd on her side, but Brazzle was always there to shut her down. In the end, it was Brazzle's experience and technical skill that won out, and she emerged victorious with a Miracle Connection [Michinoku Driver] to retain her championship title. Winner: Suzanne via pin 10:06 – Defence 3 [44] Decent wrestling, with little heat We cut to the backstage area. Honey Badger is lifting weights and Marie Punnen is practicing brutal kick combinations on a punching bag. Emma May paces back and forth in front of them, her jaw clenched as she stares daggers into the camera… Honey Badger, Emma May & Marie Punnen Emma: You know, I've been sitting here trying to figure out what the hell is going on. I lost my title to that backstabbing witch Suzanne Brazzle, and ever since then, I've been booked like an afterthought. And don't even get me started on Foxxy Larue. We had a match, we won, and then she decided to take me out. And now she thinks she's the number one contender? Please. [Emma's tone grows more intense as she continues] Emma: Well, let me tell you something, Foxxy. You may have gotten the best of me last time, but that was just a fluke. You're not even in my league. You're not even in the same arena as me. I noticed you dropped ‘diva’ from your “Ultimate Diva” brand… Might I suggest replacing it with ‘bitch’, instead? [She snorts in derision] Emma: I won that tag match too. And if you think you’re going to even attempt to stop me from clawing my way back to the QAW World Championship then you’re also the “Ultimate Dumbass”. I’m still the most dangerous woman in QAW. No one has pinned or submitted me for over a year. And I’m still “World Class” Emma May. [Emma takes a deep breath and looks around at her stablemates, Honey Badger and Marie Punnen] Emma: You two have been with me for a while now, and I appreciate your loyalty. But let's face it, I haven't been the best leader. I've been so focused on my own issues that I haven't been passing on advice like I should. And for that, I apologise. [Honey and Marie nod, looking slightly mollified] Emma: I'm going to make it up to you. We're going to train harder, fight smarter, and take over this damn place, again! [48] Emma improvised well As the Furies finish their promo and return to their workout, voices can be overheard down the corridor. The cameraperson follows the sound and discreetly peers around the corner to catch a conversation between Hellcat Hernandez, Felicia Luck, Selina Svelte, and Talia Quinzel... Quinzel: So, do we have a deal? Luck: You need to keep your voice down! [Felicia looks around nervously, completely missing the camera. Hellcat keeps her burning gaze on The Uprising duo] Quinzel: Why are you so worried? It’s not like you can discreetly provide us protection in our semi-finals match. Luck: We know that but it’ll be harder to make sure you win if Storm Front gets wind of this. [Hellcat steps forward, her presence felt more than seen] Quinzel: What does Hellcat think? [Hellcat says nothing, but her intense stare communicates volumes] Luck: This is a one off because Hellcat wants to settle an old score with Juana. But she wants you to know that The Experience are winning this tournament. Svelte: Is that so? Everybody has a price. I wonder how much yours is to screw your girls over? [Hellcat steps up to Svelte, and Felicia and Talia quickly move to block any contact] Quinzel: No offense meant! We’re just curious. Svelte: When you help us get through to the finals of this tournament, we’ll test your little theory about The Experience… [The Uprising hands over an envelope and leaves. Felicia counts the money and nods at Hellcat] Hellcat: Everybody has a price. [40] Talia stole the scene. Selina and Hellcat did well Singles Match /with Maribel Mercado w/ Unstoppable Tai vs. SUPREME Yoshida The match between Maribel Mercado and Supreme Yoshida didn't quite live up to the crowd’s expectations, due to the lackluster performance from Yoshida. However, there was no denying that Maribel was able to showcase her superior skills, displaying dominance across brawling, technical, and high-flying offence. Luckily, both wrestlers exuded charisma, which kept the match from being a complete bore. Maribel, a cunning luchadora, relished in beating down Yoshida, and made sure to lure her into situations where her Clenched Fist muscle Unstoppable Tai could get some cheap shots in. As the match reached its final moments, Maribel's rival Pinky Perez emerged on the stage to watch. Maribel seemed momentarily fazed by Pinky's presence, but she took back control of the situation by making it clear her finisher [High-altitude leg drop] was intended for Pinky. As Maribel celebrated her win, Pinky made her way down to the ring. Maribel knew that Pinky was gunning for her, and took pleasure in ordering Unstoppable Tai to stand between them. This was enough to make Pinky think twice and she could be seen mouthing “soon” at Maribel. Winner: Maribel via pin 12:27 [43] Sub-par wrestling and non-existent heat. Maribel and Tai are a good pairing Dharma Gregg is standing by in the interview area, microphone in hand. To her left is Alina America, brightly dressed, her arm in a sling. To her right is Danielle Sweetheart, the “Queen of Hearts”, who looks exasperated… Dharma: So, Alina, how’s your elbow doing? Alina: Oh, Dharma, it’s just terrible! I may never wrestle again! I can barely move it. [Alina impotently pokes her arm as if expecting it to spring into action. Danielle rolls her eyes and shakes her head, but says nothing] Dharma: I’m sorry to hear that, Alina. But… Do you really think it’s that serious? Alina: I’m just so worried-- [Danielle interupts by leaning towards the mic] Danielle: Alina, you only sprained your elbow. It’s not the end of the world. Alina: [gasping] How could you say that, Danielle? You don’t understand the pain I’m in! Danielle: [sighing] Look, I didn’t mean it like that. I just think you’re overreacting a bit… [Alina clutches her chest dramatically] Alina: Overreacting? Danielle, my career could be over! Danielle: [trying to keep a straight face] You’re a tough cookie Alina, nothing is going to keep you down for long. [Alina weighs up the statement momentarily before smiling] Alina: You think so? [Dharma seems amused by the exchange] Dharma: I have to ask… I can never tell if you two get along? I remember interviewing you both last year and you didn’t exactly have kind words for each other… Danielle: I think Alina and I are two sides of the same coin. We really do hold similar values when it comes to competition and what is right. Last year, things were tense, but in my opinion Alina has a problem with me. Not the other way around. [Dharma turns to Alina for reaction; but she is dramatically staring into the distance with the back of her hand against her forehead] Alina: You are a good person, Danielle. But, I have never forgiven you for ending my first run with the title. I had set the record for most defences! And you went and added insult to injury by breaking my record AND becoming the longest reigning champion too! [Alina clenches her fist and shakes it at Danielle] Danielle: Well, I’m not going to apologise for that. But, I think time is a healer and we’re wasting our time dwelling on the past. You and I are the heart and soul of QAW and we should be working together, because if we don’t, the likes of the Fallen Angels and Ronin3 will be running wild. Lets tag together one more time and I promise you we’ll have a better outcome this time. Alina: Very well, Danielle. We have a deal! [Alina goes to shake Danielle’s hand with her injured arm and grits her teeth in pain] Danielle: Just use the other arm! [39] Alina struggled with this promo, Danielle improvised well Tag Team Number One Contender Tournament Quarterfinals /with Shrieking Harpy [Harpy & Banshee] vs The Experience [Ava Anderson & Lily Snyder] w/ Bossman Brayfield As soon as the bell rang, Banshee charged towards Ava Anderson with reckless abandon, and Anderson was quick to retaliate with a series of strikes. After brawling around the ring they tagged out to their respective partners. Initially caught off guard, The Experience struggled to find their footing, and Banshee and Harpy took advantage of their opponents' mistakes. However, as the match progressed, The Experience's veteran instincts kicked in, and they began to bend the rules to gain an advantage. In the end, it was the Rock'n'Rolla finisher that sealed the victory for The Experience. Anderson landed a devastating superkick on Harpy, knocking her into Snyder's bridging German suplex, and the referee counted to three. Winners: The Experience via pin 13:44 [53] Decent match with little heat, it got the crowd buzzing though! Show Rating: 39 The crowd were annoyed at the amount of segments and lack of big names, again. Well f*ck my booking I guess...

  12. Oh they dragged the next show too... It's a tough crowd. Why can't they appreciate I'm better at writing segments than the matches...
  13. I had to double check Dane's bio and the spoonerism's explained everything! "Muff Bartinez" cracked me up. I had an epic 21CW save with TEW'16-- The brand split, and the branding, is so good. I did the same but I just called it Raw and Smackdown [shameful] because I couldn't think of names... There is loads of talent in 21CW but it was too monster heavy for me with similar types of menace and I ended up releasing a lot of them. But you're doing a good job in separating them and also building up an interesting mid-card-- I really like the Misery Loves Company tag team and the FamiLee gimmick. In my save there were mega stars to be had-- Seb Koller, Phillip Cooper, DBF, Buff Martinez & Faust all became excellent talents, alongside the Cornells obviously. Leigh Burton just never got over as much and Wade Orson suffered a broken leg working a TCW event via talent exchange 2 days after winning his first world title and he just never got back up there. Also, Luke Cool and RJS also turned out to be excellent putting on regular A ratings. So, I'm looking forward to seeing how you develop them all together and once the momentum gets going with 21CW it'll probably shift from making sure you have an interesting lower-mid card because the main event will be popping. I also raided RAW [and PGHW/QAW] as well, so its fun to see you doing the same. Lastly, I know you said at the start you struggle booking women's divisions, but it can become main-event worthy quickly. And doesn't need to be a "division" straight away [or ever]-- Zofia Jankovich fits in well with The Red Devils, Thea Davis as Leigh Burton's plucky girlfriend, Jeri Behr suits Luke Cool/Absolutely Flawless etc.
  14. Ugh, Marco Gonzalez just... sucks 🤪 So, good job lol I was surprised at the main event stipulation as I thought Brody and Kip would have the decisive match, but I guess the feud is really between Kip and Haley, and whoever she gets her claws into next. And Mutant is quickly gelling into the arrogant heel champion, at least, that's the vibe I'm getting from his gimmick now. As much as the Harlem Knights had potential the story with Davis and Joffy is the way to go. And they have Relentless and the Latino Kings in the wings-- it was curious the Kings weren't on the show too. I guess its roster depth rather than cost...

The crowd Is already raining down boos before Foxxy brings the microphone to her lips... Toni Parisi, Foxxy Larue & Tameka Sky Foxxy: Well, well, well, look who’s back on top, baby! [The crowd boos louder] Foxxy: Your girl, Foxxy Larue, carried that main event at Big City Breakdown and proved once again why I am the ultimate in this company. [The crowd jeers which only seemed to fuel Foxxy’s arrogance] Foxxy: I mean, lets be real here, did I really need Emma May as my tag partner? Ha! Don’t make me laugh. I dumped that chump like a bad habit. [Tameka and Toni nod in agreement as Foxxy continues to gloat] Foxxy: And as for the forces trying to hold me back? Oh, honey, let me tell you, they are never getting to me again. Farrah Hesketh, The Line, Danielle Sweetheart, Alina America, Emma May… They’re all just scared of what Ronin3 represents. In particular, they are afraid of what I represent: a woman who knows what she wants and goes after it with everything she’s got. [Foxxy’s voice drops to a low, dangerous whisper] Foxxy: They whine and call us unfair! Selfish! Immoral! But we call it dominance. We believe in winning at all costs because if you aren’t winning, you’re losing. And we don’t play that game, honey. No room for losers in Ronin3. [The crowd boos louder, but Foxxy just smiles wickedly] Foxxy: So, to all you punks out there, just remember one thing. Foxxy Larue always gets what she wants. And nobody, I mean nobody, is going to stop me from reaching the top of this game again. QAW would be a better place if everyone just accepted the fact that I’m the baddest, most dominant, woman in this ring! Facts are facts, baby! So, with my victory at Big City Breakdown in the books I declare myself the rightful number one contender to the QAW World Championship. Suzanne Brazzle… Shine that baby up real good because mama is coming to collect! [43] Foxxy was a real star and handled the crowd masterfully improvising with them. Her hot catchphrase "Facts are facts" helped too. The segment got the crowd hot and was a strong start. Singles Match "Miss Perfection" Fuyuko Higa vs. Alexis Lee Littlefeather Higa was coming off a victory against Ash Grover, whereas Alexis was looking to regain her footing after losing to Christy Higgins. Both women had been very active outside of QAW, with Alexis appearing 10 times across various indy promotions, whereas Fuyuko had been active with 5SSW in trios matches. She was also at the centre of some controversy after being left off the 5SSW Queendom show. As the bell rang, both women locked up in a test of strength, but Higa quickly gained the upper hand. With her superior striking ability, Higa unleashed a series of lightning-fast kicks and strikes, sending Alexis reeling. Alexis tried to mount a comeback, but Higa was simply too much to handle. Higa continued to dominate, showing off her technical skill with a variety of submission holds. Again, Alexis fought back with all she had, but it was clear Fuyuko was on another level. Higa landed a devastating Shining Wizard and followed up with a spinning heel kick that seemed to knock Alexis silly. Alexis attempted to get back to her feet, but Higa stalked her prey and applied a Cross Face, forcing Alexis to tap out. Winner: Fuyuko via submission 16:41 [56] Decent wrestling but little heat The COTT Women’s World Champion, Maribel Mercado, is admiring herself in a luxurious mirror, adorned with gold trims. She is interrupted by Mariana Torres, who enters the room with a fiery gaze. Mercado turns towards Torres calmly, with a sly smile on her face…. Mercado: Mariana Torres, ¿qué pasa? Have you come to admire the COTT championship or are you lost? Do I need to call for Unstoppable Tai to escort you out? Torres: I’m not here to admire anything, I’m here to settle a score with you, Mercado. Mercado: Oh, we settled that score at Big City Breakdown. You lost. Torres: I had you beat until Tai interferred. [Maribel’s expression darkens] Mercado: Oh, you still believe in fair play? How quaint-- [Mariana interupts her with a sarcastic tone] Torres: Chica lista, shut up. It’s not over between us. Mercado: It isn’t over between us? And who is ‘us’, exactly? When we first met, I thought you seemed familiar, as though our paths had crossed already. So, I did a little digging on “Mariana Torres” and to my surprise… Nothing! It’s like you just appeared out of thin air in 2019. Torres: So I don’t have a Linkedin page, who cares? Mercado: No, no. It’s deeper than that. You’re hiding something dark and I’m going to find out what it is. Torres: I have nothing to hide, and even if I did, why do you care? Mercado: Because you’ve hitched your wagon to the wrong cause, Mariana. What has Pinky ever done for you, really? Okay, you’ve been tag champions-- [Mariana interrupts] Torres: --Which you cost us! Mercado: Which I cost you, blah blah. My point is, she’s ready to leave you and you know it. She used you to get her foot in the door at QAW and now she’s established, you’re going to get cast aside. Torres: You’re wrong. Mercado: And you need to get out of Pinky’s shadow before it’s too late. Whatever darkness you suppressed to get along with Pinky is making you look pathetic. So you better start looking out for yourself soon. [Mariana steps closer to Maribel, bringing them almost nose to nose] Torres: Pinky is my tag team partner and we’ve been through a lot. You’re just trying to get in my head. [Maribel tilts her head and raises an eyebrow] Mercado: I’m just saying you’re better than that. So, “Mariana Torres”, if you want to keep coming for me you better bring it, amiga. Because I’m not afraid of you. Not. One. Bit. [Unstoppable Tai appears behind Mariana, which ensures things stay somewhat civil. Maribel winks at Mariana and exits with Tai. Mariana is left with her reflection in the mirror] [34] The 5SSW World Tag Team Champions: The Uprising, are waiting for their scheduled tag match to start. After a longer than normal wait for their opponents music to hit, they are greeted by Commissioner Bomb instead… Selina Svelte, Talia Quinzel & Commissioner Bomb Bomb: Tonight The Uprising was scheduled to take on The Kanto Express in the quarterfinals of the tag team tournament. But unfortunately, The Kanto Express has encountered some travel issues. [The crowd is already murmuring in disbelief and suspicion] Bomb: Yes, it seems that they missed their flights, went to the wrong venue, and then got a flat tire just a few miles away from here! A series of unfortunate events indeed! I tried my very best to get them here on time, but alas, it was not meant to be. [The crowd is now booing and jeering] Bomb: It would be unfair to surprise The Uprising with last minute opponents. Therefore, I have made the executive decision to award The Uprising a bye into the semi-finals, where they will be taking on Storm Front! [The crowd is now loudly booing and heckling Commissioner Bomb] Bomb: I know this decision may not be popular with some of you, but it is the right decision for the tournament. The Uprising deserves a fair shot at the championship, and I will do whatever it takes to ensure the tournament is fair and results in the best being awarded the title shot. [The crowd is now erupting in boos and chants of "bullshit” directed at Commissioner Bomb, while The Uprising celebrate in the ring as if they just won the match] [33] Pamela is standing in the backstage promo area with Miss Mexico; QAW’s resident interviewer, Dharma Gregg is stood ready… Dharma, Pamela & Miss Mexico Dharma: Pamela Rojo, I’ve been trying to get an interview with you since you were betrayed by Suzanne Brazzle at Starshow. Why are you breaking your silence now? Rojo: Thanks for the reminder. To answer your question though; I was angry. Really f****** angry. And you wouldn’t of been able to air what I had to say. Dharma: I’d say we’re on the cusp of that already! Rojo: A year ago I threw my all into challenging Alina for the championship, including our friendship… And I failed. The one thing that has eluded me my entire decade long career here. So it’s true that when I met Suzanne I was ready to quit the business. I was angry at the world and she rebuilt me. She even got me back into the title picture and I was reinvigorated! [Pamela’s energy shifts into one of visible fury] Rojo: But it turns out she was using me. And at Starshow, the Fallen Angels, made their intentions known they were here to reshape QAW and Pamela Rojo did not fit into that new landscape. Dharma: And how do you feel about that? [Pamela laughs bitterly] Rojo: It’s laughable, really! They are heralding a company that went BANKRUPT! Lets stop skirting around the facts here; those average ass women drove their “home” into the ground by putting on crappy shows, which no one wanted to see… And they have the nerve to say QAW had something to do with that? It’s insane. But, that’s Suzanne Brazzle for you. The epitome of average has seized on AAA member’s resentment and manipulated them into taking up against the only company left waving the women’s wrestling flag, and for what? Revenge? No. It’s for Suzanne Brazzle. She’s nearing the end of her career and she needed to do something memorable. I guess she’s done that. But, if she thinks that is going to include destroying my home and my career because I represent QAW’s superb history? No. Over my dead body. Dharma: Speaking of history, you’ve struck up an unexpected alliance with your old adversary Miss Mexico…? [Pamela and Miss Mexico share an amused look with each other] Rojo: I respect Miss Mexico deeply. Do I like her? No. And the feeling is mutual! [The two women chuckle] Dharma: I don’t get it? [Miss Mexico interjects] Mexico: Some things aren’t for everyone, Dharma. This company is my home, and I share that home with Pamela. We’ve got an infestation here in the form of the Fallen Angels and I’m going to help her kick them out on their asses and back to the employment line. [Dharma nods along as Miss Mexico speaks, Pamela pulls the mic back towards her when Mexico finishes] Rojo: And let me make it clear, Suzanne Brazzle, I’m coming for you. I’m going to fight my way through all of your obstacles, all of your cronies, until I get to you. And when I do, I’m going to take back what you stole from me. [Pamela’s face is a mask of determination as the camera fades to black] [29] Tag Team Match Lilly & Rose vs. Darkness Cat & Estrella Blanca This is the first look at Lilly & Rose since winning the championships back in February. However, they have racked up wins on the indies against Tex-Mex, The Rage & Reba Montana & Calamity Jane. Debbie Rose even picked up an impressive, but unexpected, singles win over Charlie Thatcher in KFW. Their opponents were tagging for the first time but were familiar with each other from CILL. Darkness was also last seen in QAW in February picking up a win over Little Miss Perfect, but had suffered a series of losses to Poison Ivy down in CILL. Blanca was last seen in the Miracle Challenge, and perhaps proving Suzanne right, had gone on to become one half of the first CILL Women's Tag Champions and first ever champion of new luchadora promotion. The match begins with a traditional lock-up between Blanca and Lilly. Lilly gains the upper hand with a quick arm drag, but Blanca retaliates with a hurricanrana that sends Lilly tumbling out of the ring. Lilly shares a look with Rose and sarcastically applauds Blanca for gaining the upper hand. Blanca allows Lilly to get back into the ring, and the two lock up again. This time, they exchange arm drags, and as Blanca hits the ropes, Rose kicks her in the back, causing her to stumble into a well-placed dropkick to the face from Lilly. As the match progresses, Blanca and Darkness Cat showcase their flashy offence, with Blanca hitting a springboard crossbody, and Darkness Cat executing a picture-perfect frog splash. However, Lilly and Rose quickly regain control with their cohesive teamwork, cutting the ring in half and isolating Darkness Cat. Lilly and Rose are a cohesive force, executing high-risk moves like a double-team suplex off the top rope and stereo tope suicidas. Darkness Cat manages to break free with a well-timed enzuigiri and makes the hot tag to Blanca. Blanca comes in like a house on fire, hitting a series of lightning-fast arm drags and dropkicks. She goes for a diving crossbody off the top rope, but Lilly counters with a roll-through and pulls the rights for a two-count. Rose enters the ring and directs traffic, pulling Blanca and Lilly into place for "The Thorn" [Double impaler DDT], allowing Lilly the pinfall victory. The crowd boos the heels as they celebrate their win, holding the QAW World Tag Team championships high. [52] Decent wrestling, but little heat Show Rating: 38 The crowd were annoyed at the amount of segments and lack of big names. Damn...
  16. Hey! Yes still plodding along driven by my starter-finisher compulsion. The first road to Capital Clash show will be up later or tomorrow. Glad to have you back on board.
  17. I agree with this-- I love women's wrestling but AAA was a slog. A real lack of depth [and wider scene], totally bland, and was like a bizarro Shimmer. It seems like it just moved north and became CWWF. I like QAW [obviously, i write a diary on it] but I avoided it to begin with because without mods to expand the scene it can feel lifeless. And I think the presentation of the brand/product is confusing-- it seems like an all-american, as in USA, vibe [Glow-ish] but it's much more international with a heavy reliance on Mexican talent. But once you get past that it's a fun promotion [especially with updated renders]-- Hellcat Hernandez, Pinky Perez, Alina, Danielle, Foxxy, Emma May, Juana Hurricane & Pamela Rojo make for an excellent main event scene. The tag and shockwave division need building but again, that's part of the challenge.
  18. @Theheel you took the predictions with 6/6! I finally managed to swerve @KyTeran...! And @christmas_ape I guess you had zero faith in Pamela's journey towards Brazzle. Damn. I'll message each of you as usual for the prizes aka. throwing me booking curveballs
  19. God Damn. Now I have to re-think my diary to use Millie, Marie Punnen and Badger properly. And get Becca Barton back...
  20. FCW Puerto Rican Title: Mutant (c) vs Kip Keenan You did a good job building Kip with the 10 wins but Mutant just is not losing. I do predict some Haley/Brody interference though... Billy Russell and Xavi Ferrera vs Handsome Stranger and Frederique This one is tricky because Billy is on his retirement tour. But Handsome is the ex champion and I have to assume the joint star power with Frederique is worth keeping... So, makes sense to add Billy to help placate Handome/Fred and for Xavi to get some build before he beats them in singles matches...! First Blood Match: Carlos Gonzalez vs Marco Gonzalez So, I think losing a first blood match can be less damaging than being straight up pinned so it's a good way to protect Carlos but get Marco over. Probably some luck involved. FCW Tag Team Titles: The Harlem Knights (c) vs Joffy Laine and Davis Wayne Newton I actually think Harlem Knights will take it but there is more mileage in Joffy/DWN having a run as the dysfunctional duo. If Kong Loses He Leaves The Island: King Kong Kennedy vs Charlie Thatcher You made me feel bad for Kennedy, like, I would want to see more of him now. But, it just ain't gonna be in FCW.
  21. Thanks! I noticed when I was fixing the previous diary entries that my approach to the tecnico/rudo divide was generic and I was missing out on bringing their actual gimmicks to life-- and also reflecting the game mechanics so if I change the gimmick in game then I need to reflect that. So, I'm glad you like Alina, Emma, and Brazzle because they were the first few who received gimmick changes in game... Alina is still the top tecnico/figurehead but she's developed into a telenovela archetype-- melodramatic, slightly unaware, but still likeable and has her heart in the right place. It's Alina's show and we're all supporting roles basically. Emma is still "World Class" but outgrew the killer-type gimmick. She is sarcastic, smart mouthed, and smug. But she does it because she can back it up, so why not? Brazzle's render is so smarmy to me [in a good way] so she has developed into a toxic positivity, insincere, manipulative cult leader, basically! Is it all a facade or does she really believe in her own hype? P.s. So, sometimes I zone out when I'm writing and that JRO accent thing was accidental. I actually edited it just as you commented because I noticed it and cringed! But as you caught some humour in it perhaps it can be a thing...
  22. Big City Breakdown Date: Sat W3 March 2021 Location: Dallas, Texas [Mid South] Attendance: 891 people Broadcast on Wrestleworld: 18,241 viewers Dark matches: The Line [Ash, Teresa & Houston] def. Clenched Fist [Black Diamond, Felicia Luck & Unstoppable Tai] [46] Darkness Cat def. Kitara Ravache [33] On commentary: Alfonso Garcia & Joanne 'JRO' Rodriguez Garcia: QAW faithful its time for Big City Breakdown! Lots happening tonight: we will see the continuation of the tag team number one contender tournament with The Rage taking on The Experience. And if The Experience lose then they have to kiss Bossman Brayfield goodbye! JRO: Hmm. If I were Bossman I would ditched The Experience a long time ago... Garcia: We'll also see Maribel Mercado make her first defence of the COTT Women's World Championship. As well as our own QAW World Champion Suzanne Brazzle in another of her... "Miracle Open Challenges". JRO: Both of them are fighting champions. Suzanne is going to come out her once again and prove why she is taking QAW to new heights as champion. Garcia: We'll also see Pamela Rojo take on Paige Croft as she seeks to catch up with Suzanne. JRO: Correction: you will see Paige Croft snap Pamela Rojo's limbs off one by one! And then it'll finally be time for her to accept her lot in life and skulk back home to wither into obscurity. Garcia: That's a little harsh... JRO: What? Suzanne Brazzle is trying to create something new. Something special. And Rojo is just going to drag things down again. We need fresh faces in QAW! Garcia: Well, speaking of fresh faces it doesn't get fresher than Ashley Keith who hasn’t been seen in a QAW ring since losing the 5SSW Tag Titles last month. But don’t let that fool you, folks, Ashley has been putting in the work on the independents, and even defeated Daniellie Sweetheart over in 5SSW, making them 2-1 in singles matches. Tonight, she’s in QAW to prove she is the future of the company. JRO: And let’s not forget about Velvet Suarez, Alfonso. This is her debut match in QAW, but she brings with her years of experience from competing down in Mexico. She’s been making waves in both OLLIE and CILL, and this is a huge opportunity to make the jump into the United States. Garcia: Absolutely! With Ashley’s hard-hitting style and Velvet’s high-flying, this match promises to be a showcase. Singles Match Velvet Suarez vs. "The Queen of Professional Wrestling" Ashley Keith As Ashley made her entrance there was a noticeable change to her presentation. She was wearing a modified robe that JRO noted was handed down to her by Sam Keith, and overall was emoting something more regal and restrained; even demanding the referee hold the ropes for her to enter the ring. Her opponent, a luchadora with a colourful mask, was a determined contrast. At the bell Ashley charged Velvet and pounded her with clubbing blows; with the referee enforcing Velvet’s only breaks from what quickly became a relentless assault from Ashley’s size and strength. Ashley slammed Velvet multiple times with suplexes and delivered a rough looking knee drop to the face. After delivering a number of punishing chops to the chest, Ashley knew she was in complete control and strutted around the ring, taunting Velvet and the crowd with a confident smirk. Velvet did her best to fight back, but Ashley simply dominated her and after slamming Velvet with a brutal powerbomb she applied the “Proton Lock 2.0” [Inverted Scorpion death-lock] for the submission. Post match, Ashley puts her robe back on and exits with a wry smile. Winner: Ashley Keith via submission 11:52 [41] Decent match with little heat. Strong start to the show and got the crowd hot As Ashley celebrates at the top of the ramp; the music of Alina America hits and she struts out to the ring, seemingly unaware of Ashley who looks livid at the interuption... Alina: Oh, mi amors, how I’ve missed you all! Forgive me, last month I was unable to grace you with my presence due to a little injury. But have no fear, Alina is back and better than ever! [Alina soaks in the applause before continuing] Alina: Speaking of things that need fixing, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw those “Fallen Angels” strutting around here like they own the place. Let me tell you something, QAW belongs to all of us – from the stars, like myself, to you fans in the stands. They said that QAW needs to be “redefined”! But we all know that this face... [Alina pouts to the camera] is something to behold! There is nothing wrong with it, nothing that needs redefining. So, Fallen Angels, if you’re listening… Why don’t you step up to the “Face of QAW”? [Alina is interrupted by Emma May’s music, and she makes her way to the ring] Emma: Oh my God. The delusion just never ends with you, does it? You are convinced that everything is about you, and it isn’t, because it is about me! I should have been granted this time to speak because I’m the one that got screwed out of my QAW World Championship. And let me tell you something, I’m tired of being held back by Bomb’s terrible booking decisions. I’m a world-class fighter, and yet I’ve been relegated to trios matches? It’s complete bullshit! [Alina mockingly holds a hand to her chest feigning surprise] Alina: Emma May! What a surprise, it’s been too long since we last saw each other. [Emma rolls her eyes] Emma: Spare me the theatrics. You’re the last person who should be out here complaining about the Fallen Angels. And I’m tired of hearing your delusions of granduer. So, I suggest you shut up, get out my ring, so I can have my time to address Suzanne Brazzle. Alina: Oh, you misunderstand me! Of course, I know QAW is not all about me; it is about all of us! But, as the “Face of QAW”, I have a responsibility to stand up for the company; and you’re not going to tell me what to do-- Emma: There you go again! [Alina and Emma talk over each other but are interuptted by the music of Foxxy Larue; the crowd buzz with anticipation as "The Ultimate Diva" struts to the ring. Emma and Alina watch Foxxy warily…] Foxxy: Well, well, well, if it isn’t the two most overrated and underwhelming women in QAW! [Emma and Alina turn to face Foxxy, both looking unimpressed] Emma: Are we in a time warp? Since when were you relevant enough again to be interrupting the main event players? [Foxxy looks immediately agitated] Foxxy: I’m out here because I’m tired of being overlooked. And I’m not going to stand for it any more. I have overcome Farrah Hesketh’s conspiracy to derail my success, but now I’m free; no one is going to stand in my way to regain the QAW World Championship. Facts are facts! And right now, it looks like you two are in my way... [The tension between the three wrestlers is palpable, and the crowd is getting restless. The three women exchange words but Alina quickly finds herself between Emma and Foxxy, and it looks like it’s going to turn into a 2 on 1 situation; until the music of Danielle Sweetheart hits! Danielle rushes to the ring and plants herself alongside Alina; and the duo face off with Emma and Foxxy. No love loss between any of the competitors in the ring… The tension is cut by the sound of Commissioner Bomb’s voice] Bomb: Now this is what I like to see! Some of the best wrestlers in the world hashing out their differences. But, as the Commissioner of QAW it would be my preference to see you fight it out to see who is best instead. So, how about this! Tonight’s main event will be… Foxxy Larue and Emma May versus Alina America and Danielle Sweetheart! [The crowd erupts into cheers at the prospect of such a star studded main event] JRO: That is going to be a molten hot main event! But, none of the wrestlers look particularly happy about who their tag partner is... Garcia: Well, there is a lot to unpick. Alina defeated Foxxy and Emma for the QAW Championship, in a three-way dance last year. Emma and Alina fueded for the belt, with Emma coming out on top. Danielle ended Alina’s first reign back in 2017 and they’ve had tension ever since. Foxxy tried to break Danielle’s leg. Emma fractured Danielle’s wrist… JRO: Drama! [66] Crowd got hotter. Foxxy struggled but benefitted from the hot catchphrase “Facts are facts!” The QAW World Champion is out next for the “Miracle Open Challenge”; this is where Suzanne Brazzle, in all her benevolence, plucks unknowns out of obscurity for a once in the lifetime opportunity, a shot at the QAW Championship… QAW World Championship /with “Miraculous” Suzanne Brazzle © w/ Steph Blake vs “The Pride of Pakistan” Nayima Khan The crowd was on their feet as they wanted a look at the QAW World Champion, as she made her way to the ring, flanked by her bodyguard, Steph Blake. Her opponent, Nayima Khan, was a total unknown, but the fans were behind her, hoping for an upset against the invading champion. At the bell, Khan charged Brazzled, hoping to catch her off guard. But it was clear from the start that the match was going to be a one-sided affair. Brazzle easily sidestepped Khan’s attack, delivering a sharp blow to Nayima’s kidney that sent her stumbling into the turnbuckle. The crowd’s excitement quickly turned to disappointment as they watched Brazzle dominate the rookie with ease. Despite Nayima’s attempts to fight back, landing a few punches and kicks, it was clear she was no match for “Miraculous” Suzanne Brazzle. The match was slow, with little urgency, and it became increasingly clear Brazzle was simply going through the motions, choosing rookies as challengers to pad her stats and avoid credible opponents. As the match wore on, it became apparent the crowd was growing restless. The lack of action and excitement was palpable, and the fans began to boo the lackluster title defence; it all ended with a whimper, as Brazzle delivered the “Miracle Connection” [Michinoku Driver], and pinned Nayima. Steph shooed the referee away and strapped the belt around Suzanne’s waist; and the crowd continued to make it clear the match had not lived up to their expectations. Winner: Suzanne Brazzle via pin 09:46 - 2nd defence [36] Terrible match Garcia: I don’t think the QAW faithful are buying into Suzanne’s open challenges… JRO: The QAW faithful are bias idiots. They have been brainwashed to expect a certain style of wrestling and have lost appreciation for the real deal when they see it. Garcia: I think they want to see the QAW World Champion defending against equal opponents... We move to backstage where members of The Clenched Fist are gathered around a table. At it’s head is a stoic looking Hellcat Hernandez… Unstoppable Tai, Hellcat Hernandez, Felicia Luck, Lily Snyder, Ava Anderson & Black Diamond Felicia: Good afternoon and welcome to our monthly meeting. Normally, Hellcat, would chair but she… errr… Unfortunately… Had to have her jaw wired shut after her street fight against Alina. Now we know what happens if you get a face buster onto a brick! [Everyone stifles a chuckle at Felicia’s attempt at humour but quickly return to seriousness after Hellcat slaps Felicia around the head] Felicia: Sorry… Onto business. As you know, the Clenched Fist is worldwide. We, as an “organisation”, have our fingers in many nefarious pies. The boss has asked Hellcat to step up our financial contributions and I’ve done the calculations… [Everyone shares concerned looks] Felicia: With Hellcat on the shelf, The Experience are without gold, and the rest of us tending to… er, lose… our matches… We’re going to struggle. Diamond: So, we’re screwed. I don’t want to get on the wrong side of the boss. Felicia: It’s not all bad. Last year Hellcat went over to 5SSW and recruited new members. They tend to win their matches and the boss likes that. So, we’ve got some grace because of that. Ava: The boss doesn’t give people “grace”. Hellcat, you better have a plan! [Everyone starts to talk over one another until Hellcat smashes her fist into the table, silencing them. She nods at Felicia to continue] Felicia: Well, I—Hellcat, came up with an idea. The Fallen Angels are here for a war, clearly. And the other factions aren’t going to just sit idly by and be disrespected. So… We sell our services to the highest bidder. Lily: A protection racket? Felicia: Exactly. Lily: But, The Fallen Angels screwed us out of the championships! Lilly and Rose have been pissing us off all year! [Felicia glances at Hellcat who remains expressionless except for a slight mouth twitch] Felicia: We will navigate the nuances but it’s decided. We already have our first customer. [Felicia gestures at the new COTT Women’s Champion, Maribel Mercado, who has entered the room. Maribel is stunning with flaming hair and devious eyes] Maribel: Sorry to interrupt your little meeting but I was promised a bodyguard for my match this evening. [Maribel scans the room as she takes in her options. She finishes by pointing at Unstoppable Tai] Maribel: I want the big one. Felicia: If you want her, we’ll have to renegotiate the price. Maribel: Why?! [Hellcat taps Felicia on the shoulder] Felicia: Let’s discuss our business in private, shall we? [48] Singles Match Paige Croft vs. "Red Alert" Pamela Rojo The crowd was hot for Pamela as she made her entrance; showing signs they had come around to her fully after her antics last year. She looked focussed and ready to go, with a determined look in her eyes. Her opponent, Paige Croft, soon followed, getting booed heavily as she made her way down the ramp solo. At the bell Pamela avoided grappling with Paige and charged her down with several shoulder tackles. However, Paige was resilient and consistently went back to trying to lock onto a body part, but Pamela would power out of it and land a clothesline or body slam, sending Paige reeling. But Paige weathered the storm, and commentary noted her extensive history in AAA and 5SSW, obviously preparing her for hard hitting matches like this. And of course, Paige kept regaining composure and used her skills to literally drag Pamela down to the mat targetting her arm. After a particularly nasty Fujiwara attempt, Pamela managed to scoop Paige up and almost hit “Big Red” [powerslam] but Paige slipped out and countered with a German suplex. The crowd could feel the tension building as Paige continued to wear down Pamela with submission attempts. But then something shifted. Paige was continuously trash talking and showing disrespect, culminating in a nasty tirade that hit a nerve with Pamela, which seemed to ignite a fire withing the face. The crowd began to will Pamela on, and she fought back with great determination. Despite Paige’s continued attempts to submit Pamela, she refused to quit, and the momemntum began to shift. And then, in a moment of sheer strength, Pamela hoisted Paige up whilst she attempted another armbar and hit her finisher “The Rojo Alert” [Running Powerbomb] for the finish. The crowd erupted in cheers as Pamela secured the hard-fought victory. Winner: Pamela via pin 12:59 [53] A decent match Garcia: What did you say earlier? Paige was going to rip Pamela apart? JRO: Pfft! I was right. Paige may have lost a scrap but Pamela looks like she’s been in a war. She’s limping, holding her arm… Easy pickings! [As Pamela celebrates to the crowd from the turnbuckle she is jumped from behind by the QAW Shockwave champion: Christy Higgins, and the former champion, Little Miss Perfect. Pamela puts up a strong resistance to begin with; at one point she has LMP by the throat but she is struck in the back of the head by Christy with the title belt. The two "Besties" seem happy with their handiwork and exit the ring] [39] COTT Women's World Championship /with Maribel Mercado © w/ Unstoppable Tai © vs. Mariana Torres The crowd eagerly awaits the start of the match, hoping for a high-flying display from the two luchadoras. Maribel is met with boos while Mariana receives a warm reception. They both lock up to start the match, with Maribel trying to take control through a flurry of strikes and kicks. However, Mariana shows off her impressive technique with a series of quick arm drags and hip tosses. Despite Mariana's efforts, Maribel easily adapts and outmaneuvers her several times by running the ropes expertly. Maribel takes advantage and targets Mariana's back, eventually locking in a surfboard submission. Though Mariana refuses to submit, Maribel resorts to cheap tactics, pulling her hair and choking her on the ropes. The crowd jeers at Maribel as she allows herself to get distracted, and Mariana takes advantage with a flurry of strikes and a springboard crossbody that flattens Maribel to the mat. As Mariana prepares to launch a finisher from the top rope, Unstoppable Tai, who has remained still the entire match, springs to life and hops onto the apron just as Maribel pulls the referee’s attention. Tai simply stares at Mariana who swipes at her to back away. Maribel uses the referee to climb to her feet and “accidentally" shoves her into the ropes causing Mariana to lose her balance. Maribel takes advantage, easily jumping up to the top rope and hitting a picture perfect top rope hurricanrana, but Mariana manages to kick out at two. Maribel isn't deterred and takes advantage of Mariana's weakened state, hitting her with a series of elbow drops and vicious stomps to the chest. Despite Mariana's attempts to fire up, Maribel cuts her off with a stiff clothesline. Maribel climbs to the top rope, taunts the crowd, and hits her famous high altitude leg drop square onto Mariana's chest. The referee counts to three, and Maribel is declared the winner to the disappointment of the crowd. Winner: Maribel via pin 11:14 - 1st defence [45] Maribel and Tai are a good pairing The Furies are standing by with Dharma Gregg in the interview area… Dharma: QAW faithful, I’m standing by with The Rage who are taking on The Experience next in the tag number one contenders tournament. How are you feeling going into this match? [Emma cuts in smirking confidently] Emma: We’re feeling great, Dharma. The Experience may think they have what it takes, but they’re about to learn you can’t underestimate The Rage. They just need to follow this one piece of advice... [Foxxy Larue steps into shot interrupting Emma mid-sentence and glaring at her] Foxxy: How about you follow my advice instead? Stay out of my way tonight. Emma: [Sarcastically] That’ll be hard, I’m your tag-partner tonight. And here I thought we were going to be best friends. Foxxy: Always with the smart mouth. Emma: Smart mouth and I can back it up. Foxxy: Y’know I owe you a receipt from Battlebowl. Emma: For real?! You’re still mad I eliminated you?! And I thought I was petty… Foxxy: I had that match won and you turned on me; you messed with my money. Emma: Well, guess what? It was every person for themselves and you let your guard down. If you’re really itching to prove a point then I’ll be happy to settle it in the ring. But that’s the future. The present is that we have to get along because this tag match, against Alina and Danielle, is going to get me closer to Suzanne Brazzle. And I’m going to guess you want to get closer to her as well. We can settle our score afterwards, deal? [Emma extends a hand] Foxxy: Deal. [Foxxy reluctantly accepts, and they leave together] Honey: Wait..!? What was the advice? You sai-- Marie: Forget it Honey. She doesn’t care. [62] We return to the commentary table as The Experience make their entrance. Instead of standing at ringside Bossman Brayfield approaches commentary... Garcia: Brayfield! You haven’t graced us at the commentary box for a while... Brayfield: Well, ah was sick an' tired of listenin' to y'all an' miss Hesketh constantly questionin' me an' mah clients… But, now ah know there is a true professional at the booth callin' the action ah thought ah would give it anotha' chance. JRO: What a gentleman. It’s a pleasure to meet you. Brayfield: Likewise ma'am. Garcia: There's a lot at stake for The Experience in this tournament. Not only the number one contender status but also the pleasure of your managerial services. Brayfield: Ah'll do whateva' it takes to ensure mah clients always come out on top. JRO: I admire that. Having a good team, or manager, behind you can make all the difference. But I have to ask Brayfield, don’t you think ditching The Experience would be a blessing in disguise? Surely your services would be better used elsewhere with tag teams that can truly bring in money? Brayfield: Ah can assure y'all Ms Rodriguez that mah clients are the greatest tag team in the world! Tag Team Number One Contender Tournament Quarterfinals The Rage [Honey Badger & Marie Punnen] vs. The Experience [Lily Snyder & Ava Anderson] The bell rings, and the match is underway! The Rage immediately take advantage of their MMA-inspired style, with Marie Punnen taking down Lily Snyder with a single leg takedown and locking in a ground-and-pound attack. Ava Anderson tries to intervene, but Honey Badger halts her with a quick and precise judo throw, sending her to the mat. The Rage are in control, but The Experience are not to be underestimated. They're veterans of the game and have been in this situation before. After a few minutes of grappling, Lily manages to get to her feet and catches Marie with a stiff right hand. She follows up with a clothesline, and Marie is down! The Experience now have the momentum on their side. Lily tags in Ava, and they execute a quick double-team manoeuvre, driving Marie to the mat with a double spine buster. Honey tries to intervene, but Ava stops her before she even enters the ring sending her crashing to the outside. The Experience continue to work well together, isolating Marie from her partner and relentlessly attacking her with a variety of double-team manoeuvres. Ava locks in a single-leg crab, while Lily takes care of Honey on the outside, preventing her from getting back into the ring. Marie manages to crawl towards the ropes and as the referee creates separation to break the hold Honey charges into the ring and starts unleashing a flurry of strikes, taking out Ava and drags Marie to their corner for a tag. However, her momentum is short-lived as Ava also tags out and Lily catches Honey with a belly-to-belly suplex. Lily follows up with a brain buster, but Honey kicks out at two. The Experience then attempt to finish the match with their “Rock’n’Roll” finisher [Super kick into German suplex], but Marie intervenes. Lily tags back out and knocks Marie to the outside. As Honey attempts to regain her footing she is unaware of Ava ricocheting off the ropes and is blasted with a shotgun dropkick to the face for the pin. After the match, Bossman Brayfield enters the ring to congratulate his clients, praising them for their outstanding performance. Despite their best efforts, The Rage were no match for The Experience's teamwork and veteran experience. The Experience are now one step closer to Lilly & Rose. Winners: The Experience via pin 10:12 [51] Decent match, with little heat We return to the backstage area where the Fallen Angels are stood in the interview area ready to cut a promo, Brazzle is wearing a flowing white robe with a purple sash around her waist... Suzanne Brazzle, Christy Higgins, Debbie Rose, Kate Lilly Brazzle: My dear Angels, it is so wonderful to be here with you today. I am filled with joy and gratitude for all of the love and support you have shown me, as we have achieved our dreams of overthrowing the false champions in QAW. [The Fallen Angels smile and gesture at each other's championship belts glittering around their waists; Steph remains expressionless] Brazzle: But there are those among us who do not share our values, who seek to undermine our mission and our vision. They are the naysayers, the doubters, the haters who try to tear us down and hold us back. [She pauses and looks directly into the camera, her eyes glittering with a fanatical intensity] Brazzle: But don't worry, my message remains the same. It's all about positivity, perseverance, and achieving greatness. Being QAW World Champion comes with certain privileges, such as the ability to choose my opponents. Now, I know there are some who are clamoring for a shot at the title. But let me be clear, not just anyone is deserving of such an honour. It takes more than just skill in the ring to be a champion. It takes heart, determination, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve victory. [The Fallen Angels murmur in agreement] Brazzle: Which brings me to my dear Pamela. You were a miracle sent to me, truly! A useful tool which assisted our divine ascension. Many would call that an honour but you have become consumed by selfish, misguided desires of revenge. Unfortunately, Paige Croft could not convince you tonight to stop this foolish plight, but I have been assured this will be rectified... [She pauses and takes a deep breath, her eyes closing] Christy: It'll be my pleasure. Pamela Rojo, I'll see you next month at Capital Clash. [Suzanne opens her eyes with a serene smile] Brazzle: Thank you, Christy. Pamela, until you prove to me that you are truly worth of facing me in the ring, you won't get anywhere near me, or this championship. So, my dear Angels, I urge you all to continue down the path of positivity and success. And as for Pamela, well, perhaps she will learn that it's not just about what you want, but about what you're willing to do to achieve it. [36] Tag Team Match “The Ultimate Diva” Foxxy Larue & “World Class” Emma May vs. “The Face of QAW” Alina America & “The Queen of Hearts” Danielle Sweetheart The atmosphere in the arena was electric as Foxxy Larue and Emma May made their way to the ring. The imposing presence of Foxxy and the intense stare of Emma made it clear they were not to be taken lightly. Meanwhile, Alina America and Danielle Sweetheart received a hero's welcome, their joint popularity evident by the deafening cheers from the crowd. The match started with Foxxy and Danielle in the ring, and it quickly became apparent that there was no love lost between them. Despite their initial animosity, the two worked well together, their chemistry undeniable and after wrestling to a standstill they shrugged and just started exchanging forearm shivers in the middle of the ring. Eventually both women had to tag out or risk the match. The crowd chanted for both Emma and Alina, acknowledging their recent feud for the belt was not forgotten. They both lock up, and Emma immediately gets the upper hand with her MMA background, taking Alina down to the mat. Alina fights back to her feet and scores a headscissor takedown, and Emma rolls out of the ring to regroup. Meanwhile, Foxxy and Danielle stare each other down from their corners. As Emma and Alina continue their match, there are moments where Foxxy and Emma seem to miscommunicate, causing some tension between them that seems to be escalating. In contrast, throughout the match, there are moments where Alina and Danielle have disagreements as well, seemingly due to both women having little patience for the other. But despite their tension, Alina and Danielle manage to work together effectively against their opponents. But Emma and Foxxy aren't going down without a fight. Foxxy starts to use her height and power advantage to dominate Danielle. She delivers a series of brutal slams and kicks that leave Danielle struggling to get back to her feet. Emma then enters the ring and delivers a devastating suplex to Danielle on the back of her neck. At one point in the match, Foxxy delivers a stiff shot to Alina knocking her off the apron with a nasty landing. Alina screams and clutches at her arm and the referee has to check on her. The other three women momentarily slow down but continue the match as the referee rejoins the match and a doctor can be seen speaking to Alina on the outside. The rudos seize on this and manage to isolate Danielle in their corner and unleash a barrage of double-team moves on her. Alina eventually climbs back onto the apron and looks on, frustrated that she can't do anything to help her partner. She reaches out for a tag, but Danielle is just out of reach, still recovering from the punishment. The crowd rallies behind Danielle, who capitalises on Foxxy and Emma's bickering between tags and battles towards her corner. Both Foxxy and Emma intercept but the referee breaks it up and forces Emma, who isn't legal, to return to the apron. The confusion allows Danielle to fight back and make her way towards Alina, but just as she reaches out for the tag, Alina is ripped down off the apron by Ashley Keith [the referee still dealing with Emma]! This is enough to cause great pain to Alina who clutches at her elbow and the ringside doctor blocks Ashley from any follow up. Danielle looks both shocked and crestfallen as her hand remains outstretched to thin air totally unaware of Foxxy's foot about to crash down between her shoulder blades. Foxxy runs the ropes for momentum and leaps into the air for a graceful, but deadly, scissor kick. 1, 2, 3! At the conclusion of the match, Emma celebrates at ringside and plays to the camera but is caught unaware by a Flash Headkick [Running big boot] from Foxxy, which sends her flying into the barricade. Foxxy demands to have her hand raised in victory and she places her foot on Danielle's fallen body for added effect. Winners: Foxxy & Emma via pin 22:33 [60] Great wrestling, decent reaction Alina suffered an Elbow MCL sprain due to a botch by Foxxy Garcia: Wow, what a match that was-a-go-go! The tag team of Foxxy Larue and Emma May looked like they were about to fall apart at times, but they managed to put their differences aside and work together to take down Alina America and Danielle Sweetheart... Even if Foxxy didn't feel like sharing the limelight with Emma after the match! JRO: Foxxy doesn't have to share the limelight. She's had to deal with Farrah Hesketh dimming her light and now she is gone you can see nothing can stop her! Garcia: Well, you could argue that Foxxy, and Emma, have worked their way closer to the QAW World Champion. Surely you're worried for your Fallen Angel friend? JRO: I've told you before Suzanne is a fighting champion. She said it herself earlier, it takes more than just wanting a title shot to deserve one! And she is not shy of competition. So maybe they have earned their way towards one? Who knows? You'd have to ask the champ! Garcia: Surely we'd ask the Commissioner? But she's obviously part of this plot so, what's the point? JRO: You and your conspiracy theories! Show Rating: 58
