  1. p { margin:0; padding:0; line-height: 1em; } After some experimenting and the most efficient way is to add <span style="color:#000000;"> at the top of every post-- it should produce text that suits both light/dark mode and doesn't override existing colour text i.e. Green. Maybe everyone else has figured that out already but sharing it in case useful. Hopefully no more hurt eyes [at least from page 7 onwards...] And for the borders this seems to be the best combo: <div style="padding: 10px; border: 3px solid #2537fa; margin:30px;background: #d1e1ff; max-width:90%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ">
  2. Interesting to me that the Rush push has begun alongside rumours Andrade wants out of AEW-- I don't think he's had a fantastic run with them so it is believable he'd see the writing on the wall. But now with Rush signing it seems to me that Preston Vance is going to turn and become their enforcer. Seems like the Dark Order is being dismantled-- which is sad! Jamie Hayter is so fun to watch! It's a shame that her push might be been derailed by the arrival of Saraya as the person to feud with Britt. Also you can draw some similarities between Saraya and Hayter. I just hope they keep Saraya out the ring-- I can still remember the clip of her re-injury in the ring with Sasha vividly. Nyla and Jade should be an interesting match-up and a signal Jade is nearing the end of her streak if she starts picking off talent higher up the totem pole.
  3. p { margin:0; padding:0; line-height: 1em; } QAW Bombshells airing on QAW.com Trios Match The Furies [Emma, Honey & Marie] vs. Die Fledermaus, Olivia Diamond & Vicki Kyle Another strong showing from the former world champ Emma May who directed her team to victory with vicious precision. It was clear she had no time for mistakes from her partners and made a point to demonstrate to them "how its done!". A phrase Olivia Diamond wouldn't soon forget as she was dragged into a triangle choke hold and forced to tap. Post match Emma hogged the camera warning Suzanne Brazzle she was coming for her as Honey & Marie looked on with cold expressions. Winners: The Furies via submission 10:19 [40] This got the show off to a strong start and the crowd hot. Emma stood out. We cut to Commissioner Bomb's office where both the commissioner and Suzanne Brazzle are standing by... Bomb: Welcome to my office QAW faithful! Brazzle: And any AAA fans out there... Bomb: Of course! Suzanne, I wanted to invite you here to publicly congratulate you on becoming QAW World Champion at Starshow. A huge achievement. And as Commissioner of QAW I want you to know that I'm thrilled to finally be working with someone of your calibre. Brazzle: Thank you Commissioner. Those words mean a lot coming from you. But I wanted to use this time to address Pamela Rojo, if you don't mind? [Bomb nods] At San Antonio Invasion, after defending my title for the first time she felt the need to interrupt my celebration and lay her hands on me. Totally classless and bitter, precisely the behaviour you'd expect from a QAW 'veteran'... I understand why you're bitter though. I used you and tossed you aside like the trash you are. But in my defence? You should be used to it. As far as I'm concerned you're back of the line until you earn it... So, at Big City Breakdown how about you prove yourself against the submission specialist Paige Croft? Bomb: That sounds like a fantastic suggestion Suzanne. I'll make it official! [39] Tag Match Sinda Sarai & Air Raid Syren vs. Maribel Mercado & '100% Rudo' Raquel Alvarado A strong return to QAW from Maribel Mercado who many thought her appearance at World Summit was a one off. Maribel meshed well with Raquel's hyper-rudo antics and was clearly enjoying humiliating her opponents. Many fans were wondering if Las Amazonas would make an appearance after Maribel cost them the tag titles but their no show further fueled rumours that Pinky was in-fact legitimately injured. Things came to a finish after Maribel delivered an impressive leg drop from the top rope onto Sinda's throat-- commentary noted it was dubbed 'The Money Drop'. Winners: Maribel & Raquel via pin 14:23 [35] The feed cuts back to Commissioner Bomb's office where she is sat behind the desk alone... Bomb: As a former tag team champion I have a deep appreciation for tag team wrestling. One of my favourite ideas as Commissioner was the tag team number one contender's tournament I held last year. The new champions, Lilly & Rose, have informed me that they went to defend against the very best-- So why reinvent the wheel? This is a perfect opportunity to gather 8 of the best tag teams in the world to fight it out for an opportunity at the coveted QAW World Tag Team titles. Now... Let me make a few more phone calls to some old friends... [30] Singles match QAW Shockwave Championship Christy Higgins © [Fallen Angels] vs. Alexis Lee Littlefeather [Storm Front] There was a lot of pressure riding on Christy heading into the match as her stablemates had each successfully made their first defences at San Antonio Invasion. But, if she was feeling that pressure it didn't show as she put in a reassuring performance against a QAW veteran. Although the crowd didn't really buy into Alexis as a credible contender due to the fact she was clearly slowing down in the ring it was still regarded as one of the better Shockwave bouts in the last year. The match came to it's conclusion after a crisp 'Florida Upswing' [Sliced Bread#2] Winner: Christy Higgins via pin 14:09 [45] Show Rating: 40 p { margin:0; padding:0; line-height: 1em; } The Road to Big City Breakdown continues... 11. I think somehow the Cverse predicted Charlotte with Alicia Strong [and Tessa Blanchard with Brooke Tyler]. I think Alina America has a Trish vibe to her. The star quality/looks are there, the wrestling ability is good but she isn't amazing.
  12. p { margin:0; padding:0; line-height: 1em; } Touche! Full disclosure, I had planned for them to hold onto it for a bit longer but I left it in the hands of the AI and The Uprising took the belts on their 3rd defence in 5SSW... Which I think is fate that the AAA team just happened to do that...
  13. Hey ReapeR, loving the work! Could I make requests for: 1. COTT Women's World Tag Team Championship -- In keeping with the belt you made for the singles division. 2. QAW Nova Championship -- For up and comers modeled after the Stardom Future belt [like all their star shaped belts] but in yellow/gold. 3. QAW North American Championship -- I [over] thought about whether a United States belt fit QAW and I landed on expanding it as Mexico in particular is a huge part of the product. I think this belt design is so cool so maybe adding Mexico/Canada to the side plates? The eagle is a keeper! Many thanks in advance!

Raquel Alvarado, Millie the Minx & Summer Clearance [45] On commentary: Alfonso Garcia & Joanne 'JRO' Rodriguez Garcia: QAW faithful welcome to San Antonio Invasion from, you guessed it, San Antonio! By my side is the woman who hasn't been returning my calls since Starshow... Joanne Rodriguez! JRO, why have you been ignoring me? What is this Fallen Angels group? Have you joined? I heard you want to destroy QAW?! I don't believe it! JRO: Oh Alfonso! You're being dramatic! I was just taking some ME time after the last show. My friends in the Fallen Angels had a lot to celebrate after winning all the QAW gold in one night-- I must have misplaced my phone. Garcia: So, you're a member? JRO: I am still an impartial broadcaster. Garcia: Right... Well, we have a great show lined up tonight! Lilly & Rose will defend the Tag Titles against former champions Las Amazonas in the main event! And the new World Champion will also be in action in an open challenge-- Quite a gutsy move on your first night as champ! JRO: Absolutely, but if you can back it up, why not? Garcia: We also have the 5SSW Tag Titles on the line. Danielle and Ashley will defend against The Uprising... Hang on, are they Fallen Angels too?! JRO: Not to my knowledge... Garcia: Hmm. And tonight is a momentous night in QAW history as we are proud to announce we have officially joined the Confederation of the Territories wrestling alliance! This was on the proviso that all COTT members instigate a women's division, which was accepted-- So, we are proud to pioneer womens wrestling in this new deal! [suzanne Brazzle's music hits] JRO: Here are the Fallen Angels themselves, if you want a membership list maybe they'll give you one? Garcia: I hope so, I want some answers-a-go-go! The Fallen Angels are stood in the ring wearing all the QAW gold... Suzanne Brazzle, Debbie Rose, Kate Lilly & Christy Higgins Brazzle: I know what you're all thinking... Damn they look good! [The crowd boos] Brazzle: What you're looking at right now is nothing short of a miracle. And let me tell you why. Once upon a time there was a wrestling promotion called AAA. For decades AAA nurtured the best women's wrestlers on the planet, including the women in this ring right now. It gave us stability, friendships, and means to put food on the table during a time when most promotions slammed the door on us! We weren't the biggest but we were happy, and when one of our own left to start up QAW we were thrilled! We were all so excited to be able to work in a new area one day and mix it up with new opponents... So, imagine our disappointment when our friend, Farrah Hesketh, just never called. [Kate takes the mic from Suzanne] Kate: The call never came but we carried on. The economy was down but we thought things were going well; none of us knew the company was struggling to the extent it was. And by the time we did.... It was too late. In 2017 AAA, our home, closed its doors and we were scattered to the winds! [Christy takes the mic] Christy: But do you know what's messed up? Anne and Catherine reached out to Farrah and QAW! They asked for help. A loan. Cross-promotion. Talent exchanges... Anything! They were ignored! Farrah sat idly by and watched her 'friends' lose their livelihoods... That doesn't sit right with us! [Debbie takes the mic] Debbie: Why is it that QAW-- A promotion full of lame luchadoras and nobodies got to survive over us? It's not right! So, Suzanne hatched a plan and rallied us around it. We don't want to destroy QAW. Not at all. We simply want to recreate it, in our own image. A better image. Cherry Bomb worked her way into QAW as Commissioner and opened the door for the rest of us. Lilly & Rose were a shoe in for the tag tournament. Christy made sure to bump into her old "bestie" Little Miss Perfect in 5SSW. Suzanne knew the exact moment to reach out to Pamela Rojo when she was at her lowest. And maybe we helped Foxxy Larue with her little Farrah problem... We planned every detail because we knew we had one opportunity to strike... [All four women lift their title belts & Brazzle takes the mic for the final time] Brazzle: And it paid off! I prayed every night for our plans to succeed and they did. Everything I envisaged has come true-- that has to mean something! From the ashes of QAW a new AAA will rise and if you are not with us; then you are against us. It's a miracle! [The crowd boo the Fallen Angels relentlessly and start a "QAW!" chant] Brazzle: Boo all you want, you can't stop progress! The real work begins now. As QAW's new figurehead its my responsibility to redefine what QAW stands for. So I asked Commissioner Bomb to find me a worthy challenger tonight. Someone who would benefit from stepping into the ring with a legend like myself. Someone in need of a brush with greatness...! [36] QAW World Championship "The Miracle" Suzanne Brazzle © vs. Estrella Blanca On commentary, JRO explained the importance of Suzanne's 'Miracle Open Challenge'-- A chance for lesser known talents to gain exposure and for Suzanne to show she was a fighting champion. Garcia reminded everyone Blanca is in-fact the first ever CILL Women's Champion and a pioneer in Mexico... Garcia: I think Brazzle might be biting off more than she can chew! JRO: Suzanne is 'The Miracle'! Have faith! Brazzle worked the new 'Miracle' gimmick by asking Blanca to bow to her-- which Blanca played along with until she tried to catch a flash roll up. "How dare you!" Screamed Suzanne. The match was a great showing for Blanca and things looked to be 50/50. After a series of suplexes Brazzle rolled to the outside to regain composure. As the referee focused on getting Brazzle back into the ring, Blanca looked to be psyching herself up for a tope suicida-- the crowd started to cheer her on and Blanca ran the ropes but someone from the outside tripped her... Garcia: That's Steph Blake! She's back in QAW! JRO: The only AAA Triple Crown Champion! It's a miracle... Blanca obviously took exception to it and leaned through the ropes to argue with Blake who responded with a stiff right. On cue, Brazzle slid back into the ring and scored a "Miracle Connection" [Michinoku Driver] for the 3 count. After the match Blake handed Suzanne the QAW World Championship and dumped Blanca out of the ring. Winner: Suzanne Brazzle via pin 09:38 [1st defence] [49] Suzanne celebrates with the QAW title as if she's won the lottery as Steph watches on without expression JRO: A very promising first defence by Suzanne Brazzle! What a performance! Garcia: Did she really need the assist from Steph Blake? JRO: Assist?! You sound very bias right now. Steph is a friend of Suzanne's and she simply came out to her support her... Maybe Blanca should have been focused on the match and not so easily distracted! It's not like Steph put a hand on her! Garcia: Steph literally punched her!! [As Garcia is speaking a rush of activity happens in the ring and Suzanne is ripped down from the turnbuckle by Pamela Rojo!] Pamela tackles Brazzle down to the mat and lands some heavy blows but before any real damage is dished out Steph intervenes. As Steph and Pamela scramble throwing wild swings at each other, Suzanne recovers and clubs Pamela on the back with the belt; Steph hoists a dazed Pamela into a Full Nelson. The crowd boos as Brazzle makes a production of striking Pamela down but as she takes her shot Pamela muscles free and Steph ends up getting blasted. Before Brazzle knows whats happened she is clothes lined out the ring! The two Fallen Angels cling onto each other backing up the ramp as Pamela stands tall in the ring gesturing she is coming for the title. [35] We cut to a pre-recorded segment from Starshow. A bruised and bloody Alina America is being tended to by a doctor as Dharma Gregg stands by... Dharma: Alina, what a brutal match you just had with Hellcat Hernandez. Congratulations on your victory. It looked like a total war, is this the toughest match you’ve had to date? Alina: I’m a little emotional Dharma. So please forgive me if I can’t get my words out right now… Dharma: Take your time… Alina: The adrenaline is still pumping but I know when it wears off I’m going to be in a lot of pain! I don’t think I’ll be able to walk for a week to be honest… But, it’ll be worth it because wrestling is my passion and any chance I get to compete in front of the fans is a dream come true… [Alina stops speaking as she fights back tears] Dharma: What is next for you, Alina? Alina: A lot of people had written me off. I know that. I was made a fool out of by Commissioner Bomb when I lost the title to Emma. Then out of nowhere Hellcat targeted me; that didn't happen by accident. But I'm done with the distractions now and beating Hellcat tonight proves that I am the better woman. It proves I have versatility in my game. And it proves I’m ready to regain my title! [39] 5SSW World Tag Team Championship "The Queen of Professional Wrestling" Ashley Keith & "The Queen of Hearts" Danielle Sweetheart © vs. The Uprising [Talia Quinzel & Selina Svelte] Since winning the titles Ashley and Danielle had continued their feud across 5SSW and NYCW. Believe it or not they even managed a couple of successful defences against some 5SSW teams before imploding entirely, resulting in Danielle defeating Ashley in a singles match; Ashley would have her revenge in NYCW costing Danielle a match against Gear Head Grace. This match was booked as a result of... Well, people don't know why! The Uprising weren't the number one contenders in 5SSW but Commissioner Bomb pulled some strings. Even though Dani and Ashley hated each other they still wanted to retain and worked the match well, with Dani putting in a stellar performance. But The Uprising were a seasoned team and their team work kept them competitive-- Which frustrated Ashley and her tags with Dani became increasingly hard. After a particularly hard tag Dani gave Ashley a receipt on the shoulder which triggered a heated argument. The Uprising regrouped and Selina ripped Ashley off the apron and Talia caught Dani from behind with a clubbing blow and scored a crunching tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. In an impressive feat of strength Talia lifted Dani up into a 2nd, and then a 3rd back breaker and made the winning cover. Winners: AND NEW CHAMPIONS The Uprising via pin 15:43 [43] We cut to the backstage interview area where Dharma is standing by with Ronin3... Dharma Gregg, Foxxy Larue, Tameka Sky, Toni Parisi & Vinny Cruz Dharma: Please welcome my guests at this time: Ronin3. Foxxy, I understand you wanted this time to formally introduce the QAW faithful to your newest recruit? Foxxy: That’s right Dharma. I know that the simps in the locker room have watched our last couple of matches-- so they know the ass whooping that’s coming for them! But the simps at home, the “QAW faithful”, deserve to be educated… [Foxxy gestures at Dharma to interview Tameka] Dharma: Okay… Tameka Sky, why have you joined Ronin3? Tameka: Can you tell me who the first black women’s world champion was up in CWA… What about NOTBPW? Dharma: I can’t… Tameka: USPW? AAA? Cat caught your tongue? Dharma: I don’t know of any. Tameka: Exactly… I wanted to be a wrestler back in the day. But when I looked into it I didn’t see anyone who looked like me… Granted, I am 6ft’7 so no one really looks like me! But there was no black women on the major stage. And when you’re 16 and getting bullied every day for how you look, you don't want to step into a world where you would stand out even more. So instead I found basketball and I was embraced for who I was. I wouldn’t change those years for anything but all good things come to an end! When I was searching for what to do next I did some travelling and I ended up in this area; and I saw a poster for a QAW show and guess who I saw? Dharma: Foxxy Larue? Tameka: That’s right. And she was the World Champion! Do you know how inspiring it was to see her at the top like that? I went to see the show and that urge to wrestle, which I thought I had buried, returned with a vengeance. So, I vowed to go away, train, and return when the time was right… And that time is now. I’ve joined Ronin3 because I respect Foxxy Larue and what she represents. And I'm ready to break every last one of the bitches in the back to ensure that Ronin3 dominates this promotion once again. It's our time! Foxxy: You heard what she said; the fact is no one is safe from us any more. We're coming for everyone! Facts. Are. Facts. [54] Trios Match The Furies [Emma May, Honey Badger & Marie Punnen] vs. Simony Sentinel & 2 San Diego Girls [Coco Malloy & Izzy Quick] The former QAW World Champion was in action and she was not in a good mood. At all. And Emma insisted on wrestling most of the match and was clearly taking out her frustrations on her spirited opponents [who were selling very well for her]. Emma put an end to things with a triangle choke on Simony in the middle of the ring-- after the match Emma grabbed a camera and spoke to Suzanne directly. "You're going to need a miracle when I'm done with you!" Winners: The Furies via submission 10:29 [47] We cut to backstage as Little Miss Perfect timidly knocks on the Fallen Angels locker-room door [identified by the signage of course]. Christy opens the door... Little Miss Perfect & Christy Higgins Higgins: Oh, its you. Perfect: Hey bestie! It's, like, good to see you. I've been trying to get in touch with you and like-- Higgins: Yeah about that, things have just been hectic since winning the Shockwave championship! Perfect: Ya! Like, of course. Well, congratulations on the win. I'm glad that you won it instead of Darkness Cat...! I just wish you had told me about the Fallen Angels thing, it like, feels like something I could have been involved in! We're former AAA tag champions after all. Higgins: Totally! My bad. It's just that Suzanne wanted to keep it in a tight circle of trust. And then you lost the World Summit match and everyone was like "Perfect isn't good enough to be in the group!", but I stuck up for you. The problem is that you come across like a loser so what you need to do is string together some wins to impress the others. If that happens I'm convinced they'll let you join! Perfect: Oh! I didn't know that... Higgins: You have a match with Darkness Cat next, right? She's a QAW original so they'll definitely love it if you not only beat her, but embarrass her too! Perfect: How...? Higgins: Rip her mask off. Perfect: Isn't that, like, bad? Like, really bad? Higgins: Whatever, why do you care? Win that match and I'll put in a good word for you. Promise. Perfect: Okay... Higgins: Oh and another thing, you know that fake valley girl accent we used to do? It makes you sound stupid so you should probably stop... Good luck! [Christy slams the door in LMP's face] [27] Singles Match Little Miss Perfect vs. Darkness Cat A lot of pressure on LMP to prove herself to Christy in this match; maybe a bit too much pressure though as she kept making mistakes which the veteran Darkness capitalised on. JRO: AAA was an elite promotion and LMP showed great potential. But it looks as if jumping ship to QAW made her soft, this performance is not impressing me at all tonight. Garcia: She was the longest reigning Shockwave Champion in QAW history! LMP had a momentary advantage and hesitated before making an attempt to rip of Darkness' mask-- something which horrified the crowd. The referee admonished LMP severely leaving her looking sheepish. As Darkness readjusted her mask LMP went for a cross body but Cat side stepped it. As LMP clambered towards the ropes clutching her stomach; Darkness saw the opportunity and hit a 619 with a lot of speed knocking LMP back in front of the turnbuckle perfectly placed for the Black-Cat Moonsault. Winner: Darkness Cat via pin 08:10 [41] We cut to Dharma Gregg standing by with the former QAW World Tag Team Champions: Las Amazonas... Dharma Gregg, Pinky Perez & Mariana Torres Dharma: QAW faithful, please welcome my guests at this time, the former QAW Tag Team Champions: Las Amazonas! Can you tell us how you're feeling after Starshow? Pinky: I don't think I was prepared for how much that introduction would sting... "Former" champion has never hit my ear right. Mariana: My body is still sore. My head hurts from where I got hit in the head by own championship belt. And my pride is bruised. So we don't feel great Dharma, how about that? Dharma: Of course. You lost after Lilly & Rose used brass knuckles on The Experience. And after the match they rejected your show of respect by hitting you with the belts. Earlier tonight the Fallen Angels said this was part of a long term plan to destabilise QAW-- How do you respond to that? Pinky: Being a champion in pro-wrestling comes with a certain level of... Mierda. People are gunning for you! Obviously Lilly & Rose had a plan and they pulled it off. Congratulations mamas! But now the chase is on and tonight we have a rematch. We all know we're going to become 2 time champions tonight. Mariana: But you have to admit that Lilly & Rose have been manipulating us for a long time and I told you. Repeatedly! And you didn't believe me! Pinky: Mariana! I'm not going over this again. I have apologised for whatever role I inadvertantly played in this. What more do you want from me? [Mariana looks away] Dharma: Tonight is your shot to win back the titles. Are you on the same page? Pinky: We're on the same page-- [Pinky is interrupted by the appearance of The Experience] Lily Snyder & Ava Anderson "The Experience" Pinky: Whatever it is, we don't have time for it. Ava: Maybe if you had time for us to begin with you'd still be champions right now... Lily: You messed up. Ava: We've been telling everyone for a long time Lilly & Rose were fake and not to be trusted. And guess what? We were right! Pinky: Congratulations. What do you want? Ava: We're sure you're familiar with "the enemy of my enemy is my friend", right? Well, we'll have your back tonight and make sure Lilly & Rose don't pull the same stunt they pulled at Starshow with the brass knuckles... Mariana: And the catch is? Ava: No catch! But we will get the first title opportunity when you become champions again. Sounds fair to us. Pinky: We don't trust Lilly & Rose and we certainly don't trust you either. Ever since we arrived in QAW you've been making our lives difficult. So thanks but no thanks. [Las Amazonas leave] Ava: Big mistake ladies. Lily: Huge. [36] QAW World Tag Team Championship Las Amazonas [Pinky Perez & Mariana Torres] vs. Lilly & Rose © Rematches are not an automatic right in QAW but Las Amazonas made the request as they weren't pinned in the triple threat; and Lilly & Rose welcomed the challenge. After all, they were fighting champions. Pinky came out with the COTT Women's World Championship and commentary hyped up her almost year long reign-- and Mariana seemed a little put off by it. Both teams put on an early MOTY contender which built upon their previous interactions nicely with added new twists. Particularly with Lilly & Rose now erring on the rudo side they retained their high speed offence but delivered in a show boating manner instead. Pinky was putting in a star making performance and after stringing together some moves she took to the top rope. As she did Kate pulled the referee out of position which provided cover for a mystery woman to knock Pinky off the top rope with an awkward landing. JRO: Who was that? Did she come from under the ring? Garcia: I know that hair from a mile away-- it's Maribel Mercado! The former QAW Shockwave champion smiled deviously as she skipped to the back stopping to strike a pose at the top of the ramp. The referee checked on Pinky who was clutching her shoulder-- Perez insisted she could continue but when Debbie went to grab her arm she shrieked out in agony. The referee immediately called a finish to the match for Pinky's protection. Winners: Lilly & Rose via stoppage 19:23 [60] Show Rating: 41 KyTeran: 8/8 100% Herrbear: 7/8 88% Mokoa: 7/8 88% SMW88: 6/8 75% Puto: 5/8 63% I thought I had everyone fooled with The Uprising win until I reached KyTeran's predictions last... I'm a huge fan of your renders so with these original characters you have a unique way to modify said renders to help tell your stories which is cool! 2. I think so fleshing out of the world that you're in would be helpful! Is it Cverse or its own thing etc.
  17. I had a great 21CW save on TEW2016 and implemented a brand split... I couldn't think of a decent name so went with RAW/Smackdown. This is such an obvious brand split name and really cool! I need to step my game up
  18. So overwhelming but in a good way trying to wrap my head around this universe. An absolutely massive undertaking that deserves many congratulations!!! 20. QAW 2020 POWER RANKINGS -- TOP 10 This is finally done. I hope it was a useful recap, particularly for people unsure about jumping on board with the diary! Going back and looking at the beginning of the diary I can see how my writing has changed-- it's much simpler now believe it or not. It's also been a useful reminder for me about story lines which I may have forgotten about There are some honourable mentions that didn't make it into the top 10: Foxxy Larue, Ash Grover, Ashley Keith & Juana Hurricane. Foxxy and Ash in particular had my favourite feud in 2020 but it ended mid-way through the year and they've taken a backseat since. Luckily all 4 women play into storylines throughout 2021. #10 "Red Alert" Pamela Rojo #9 Little Miss Perfect #8 "The Queen of Hearts" Danielle Sweetheart #7 Hellcat Hernandez #6 Lily Snyder & Ava Anderson "The Experience" #5 Kate Lilly & Debbie Rose "Lilly & Rose" #4 "Miracle Blonde" Suzanne Brazzle #3 Pinky Perez & Mariana Torres "Las Amazonas" #2 "The Face of QAW" Alina America #1 "World Class" Emma May
  21. QAW 2020 POWER RANKINGS -- TOP 10 #1 "World Class" Emma May "Emma May is THE hottest act in QAW!" 2020 Win-Loss: 11-4 Average / best / worst match: 50 / 62 / 31 Age: 30 Experience: 10 years Nationality: American Style: Technician Striker Signature Moves: Kimura Arm-bar Rear-naked choke Triangle choke Career Highlights: 1 x QAW World Champion 1 x QAW Queen of the Ring 2020 QAW Match of the Year 2 x QAW Shockwave Champion Most Shockwave defences-- 9 Notable relationships: Leader of The Furies [alliance] Alina America [rival] Emma May (Emma Welsh) is an American wrestler who runs a Mixed Martial Arts gimmick, tapping in (or out, as the case may be) to her legit background in jiu-jitsu. Charismatic and adept at funny trash-talk, May could be a big name in women's wrestling if handled correctly. She joined QAW in 2015, her first taste of a 'name' company, and instantly started making waves with a gimmick where she started intentionally injuring opponents (in kayfabe) with her kimura. That gimmick didn't last long, but made a strong enough impression that it rocketed May up the card and she is now one of the hottest acts in the entire company.... Big City Breakdown Date: Fri W3 Apr 2020 Emma flew into 2020 hot on the heels of new QAW champion Alina America. She punctuated that pursuit by taking Danielle Sweetheart out of her path... Danielle Sweetheart v Emma May The crowd was ready to see this match and their reactions during the entrances was enough to show why this was going on as the main event. The last time they had met in a ring for singles action was 7 months ago where Danielle came away with the victory but had her arm almost broken by Emma after the match. Since then the two were destined for a rematch and the last time they were in a ring together Emma May had put Danielle to sleep. The two women locked up in the centre of the ring showing slick technical wrestling and everything had just a little extra force on it making every hold look like they were genuinely trying to rip each others’ limbs off, although Danielle was much better at selling it than Emma was. After a few minutes of mat wrestling Emma shot for a Kimura lock which Danielle quickly rolled out of and retreated to the safety of the ropes. This delighted Emma who knew she had a winning formula now and she arrogantly lay on her back and challenged Danielle to grapple with her. Showing great resolve Danielle charged forward and immediately wrapped up Emma in a Magistral Cradle for a near fall. Before Emma could react Danielle had her up again for a backslide for another near fall. As Emma got up she ate a picture perfect drop kick to the face and she now found herself retreating for a rope break. Danielle pressed the advantage but the referee blocked her path causing the two to bicker about the rules and Emma landed a cheap shot on Danielle knocking her silly. Emma took Danielle by the back of the neck and rammed her shoulder first into the turnbuckle and took her down to the mat and started trying to lock in her patented Kimura. The veteran Danielle had enough wherewithal to sense danger and struggled out of Emma’s grip eventually finding herself on her side in a hammer lock half nelson with Emma trying to take the back. The crowd got behind Danielle who rallied out of the hold getting to her feet forcing Emma to revert to a full nelson. The two women struggled for a moment before Danielle put herself in reverse and forced Emma back into the turnbuckle forcing her to break the hold. The crowd was on their feet as Danielle bounced Emma around the ring with right hands, clotheslines and a flying cross body followed up with an impressive spring board leg drop off the ropes. Danielle pointed to the turnbuckle signalling she was going high risk and made her ascent. She waited perched on the turnbuckle as Emma groggily got to her feet, instead of doing as Danielle wanted and turning around, Emma lurched sideways and hit the ropes causing Danielle to slip and land on her backside. In an amazing feat of athleticism Emma leapt up onto the top rope, seized Danielle’s arm in a flying arm bar and brought her crashing down to the mat from the top rope already trapped in the submission. Danielle did her best to fight it but Emma was too much to overcome and she forced a shocking tap out. Winner: Emma May def Danielle Sweetheart via submission in 18:07 [57]] Crowning the Queen XI Date: Fri W3 July 2020 Emma was made to wait for her opportunity by Commissioner Bomb which raised tensions. At Crowing the Queen Emma's tenuous patience was rewarded in a winner take all tournament final against Alina... Queen of the Ring Finals QAW World Championship: Alina America © vs. Emma May Alina looked stoic during her entrance and was clearly fatigued from the previous matches; commentary wondered about her back in particular. But, this was familiar territory for Alina who had faced Emma before with an injury and won. In contrast Emma May appeared the definition of ‘smug’ and she stared Alina down as the ring introductions were made. The crowd felt uneasy but fired up to see their champion, Alina America, overcome the odds yet again. At the bell Alina came out of her corner hot with a dropkick taking Emma off her feet. The champion charged around the ring on pure adrenaline hitting her challenger with everything she had from drop kicks to arm drags and ranas; desperately avoiding being drawn into a grappling contest. After a series of near falls, Emma retreated to the outside. The champion was not going to be baited out of the ring like she was at Starshow and told the referee to count. On the 7 count Emma rolled into the ring and Alina rushed in with kicks but Emma weathered the storm, caught one of kicks and Alina lost balance. This was enough for Emma to score a single leg takedown and the difference in energy levels became apparent as Alina scrambled away but Emma shut her escape down by simply overpowering her and dragging her up for a gutwrench suplex. The shot of pain to Alina’s back caused her to sit straight up which left her open to several hard kicks to the back. The matched continued for several more excruciating minutes of Emma stalking Alina using suplexes and slams clearly wearing her down but not going for the kill. To her credit Alina fought back at every chance but never enough to turn the tide. The finish came when Emma went in for a standing rear naked choke but Alina had it well scouted and dropped to the mat and pulled Emma into a small package pin for a near fall. "1,2..-!" Before Alina could get to her feet May was already on her and powered her up into a big spinebuster in the centre of the ring. From there May passed Alina’s guard and locked a figure four around her waist and gradually took the back. The champion fended off the choke attempts so Emma resorted to short elbow shots and cross faces, all the while using her legs to squeeze the air out of Alina. After taking several rough hits Alina tried bridging but didn’t have the energy and just ended up getting flattened out, and the rear naked choke was locked in. The crowd was in a frenzy urging Alina on; it was clear Alina was fighting it but after 30 long seconds she faded, and the referee called the match for Alina’s own safety. "Your winner, and the 11th prestigious Queen of the Ring, and, NEW QAW World Champion, EMMA MAY!" Winner: Emma May def. Alina America via stoppage in 11:46 [56] The match got the crowd buzzing Garcia: NEW CHAMPION! Emma May has done it lucha fans! Not only is Emma May the new QAW world champion but she is the reigning Queen of the Ring too! Incredible! Hesketh: It was a fair match but you have to question whether that should have been for the QAW world championship too! I can't help but feel Alina America was screwed over tonight by Commissioner Bomb. Garcia: At the end of the day that was a sanctioned match Farrah, and Emma May stormed through the champion on her way to the gold! Hesketh: A much more damaged and worn out champion...! Anyway, congratulations to our new QAW World Champion, Emma May! Garcia: Alina America is being checked on by officials; Emma May has been joined in the ring by her Furies stablemates Honey Badger and Marie Punnen. Hesketh: You would think she had just won the Queen of the Ring tournament fairly... Garcia: Lucha fans that is all we have time for! We'll see you at Amazons Attack next month! World Summit Date: Fri W3 Oct 2020 Emma started her reign well with decisive victories over Juana Hurricane, Ash Grover, and the eventual match of the year against Electric Dreamer... QAW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 'World Class' Emma May © vs. Electric Dreamer Despite it being her debut Dreamer made an immediate impact with the crowd and enjoyed their support for the entire match. This didn't deter Emma though and commentary noted that since winning the title she seemed to be a lot crisper-- Something JRO put down to the extra training she heard Emma was undertaking. Dreamer put up a valiant effort but the outcome was never really in doubt with Emma catching Dreamer in a dangerous looking arm bar for the tap out. Winner: Emma May via submission in 13:22 [3rd defence] [62] This match had the crowd buzzing Garcia: Another decisive win for our champion! Her array of submissions are truly impressive. JRO: It's going to take someone special to take that title from her. But she is very methodical and I'm not sure she does well against less predictable opponents. We've seen Emma struggle with strikers in the past so will Hellcat Hernandez's unorthodox brawling style throw Emma off her game? Garcia: Good point! I guess we'll find out next month at Night of Champions! See you there QAW faithful! Night of Champions 2020 Date: Fri W3 Dec 2020 One of Emma's bigger challenges was from an emerging Hellcat Hernandez who certainly had the brawling acumen to counter Emma's slick technical abilities... Dharma Gregg, is standing by in the ring between Emma May and Hellcat Hernandez... Dharma: QAW faithful welcome to Night of Champions! Joining me now are the two women fighting for the QAW World Championship in the main event. The champion, Emma May and her challenger, Hellcat Hernandez… Hellcat, I believe you requested this chance to address Emma publicly? Hellcat: I did... Emma, I heard your lame 'back alley' jab at me last month! Its funny to me how quickly you have forgotten the last time we met in the ring... Emma: Enlighten me. Hellcat: About 3 years ago for the Shockwave Championship… Did I whack you on the head that bad? Emma: Not at all. But it has no relevance today. You're living in the past! Hellcat: I disagree! I defeated you for that title AND you failed on the rematch. For the people betting here tonight they would consider that key information! I have defeated you in every singles match we’ve ever had. And you called me ‘back alley’… Emma: You won the matches but you never defeated me. You got away with your tricks back then but the Emma May today, ‘World Class’ Emma May, no… You’re dealing with an entirely new woman and your bullshit isn’t going to protect you from me. Hellcat: If I was running circles around you 3 years ago what do you think it’ll be now? Emma: Ha! You're feeling tough because you’ve been doing that to Alina America recently. I'll remind you the last time Alina got in the ring with me she was seeing stars. [Hellcat scoffs] Emma: You are just not on my level and you never were. But don’t feel bad because no one is! You will bend. You will break. You will suff--[Hellcat spits in Emma's face and quickly leaves the ring]. [Emma is stunned for a moment before she composes herself] Emma: You will SUFFER like the rest!! [Emma throws the mic out the ring at Hellcat who laughs defiantly flipping the bird at the camera] [50] Emma stood out. This promo got the crowd hot and was a strong start to the show Starshow 2021 Date: Sat W3 Jan 2021 Emma overcame Hellcat and many had her pegged to be embarking on an unforgettable run with the championship. Her next challengers came in the form of the [then] tag-team: Pamela Rojo & Suzanne Brazzle. She made it very clear she didn't rate either challenger, something which backfired on her... Meanwhile, Dharma is standing by with World Champ, Emma May... Dharma: QAW faithful, please welcome my guest at this time, QAW World Champion: Emma May. You're now 6 months as champion and you've had some great defences. But tonight you face your toughest challenge yet, a triple threat against Pamela Rojo and Suzanne Brazzle, a tag team! How do you feel going into tonight's main event? Emma: The tag and Shockwave titles changed hands tonight. I could lose my title and not even be pinned! That is bullshit! So… In that sense tonight is a tough challenge. Particularly as I'm taking on the sisters of the travelling wrestling tights. But let me remind you, and everyone at home, who I am... I am the Queen of the Ring and your World Champion. My challengers tonight are two pathetic has-beens who are hanging around QAW well past their expiry dates. So this is a challenge I'm more than ready to rise to! [35] Will Emma be able to regain her title?
