  1. Thanks for your comments and constructive criticism. I think the frame rate is down to my graphics card, or rather, lack thereof It's all motherboard pulling the weight and while it's enough for smooth play, recording can get a bit choppy. It's also why I haven't looked into overclocking anything.
  2. Piledriver Wrestling presents No Love Lost 1997 Wednesday, Week 1, February, 1997 Live from Atlanta, GA Announcers: Dennis Sims and Micky Starr Ashley Murphy, Rebecca Petty & Tenille Ven vs Cherry Bomb, Susan Forabruisin & Trauma Doll Essentially a showcase of the company's Women's Division, the opening trios match saw the heels on offense for the most part and the babyfaces selling to gain sympathy. Cherry Bomb and Susan Forabruisin were relentless in their striking and brawling, while Trauma Doll's unhinged character added an edge of danger to it all. As the reigning champion and a natural underdog, Ashley Murphy tried to stand up for her team and took most of the beating, including a big Cherry Bomb powerbomb to the mat for the finish. Winners: Cherry Bomb, Susan Forabruisin & Trauma Doll, via pinfall After the match, Micky Starr entered the ring with a microphone. Starr: "Ladies and gentlemen, fans of Piledriver Wrestling. Tonight we start the journey to determine the man worthy of challenging for the Men's title. Opportunities 'round here are earned, not given, and it starts tonight with the first four quarterfinal matches!" #1 Contender Tournament Quarterfinal match Dario Shelton vs Doug Peak Shelton was, in theory, the favorite in this match against a 17 year old opponent in his rookie year, but the ferocity of both Peak brothers is a thing to behold and it more than makes up for their lack of experience. With Shelton calling the match in this case, the two men told a good story of the veteran trying to wrestle his opponent and Doug being a wild unpredictable psychopath that wouldn't follow traditional wrestling conventions. A fist-laden bout where neither man's feet left the mat for any high flying, the contest ended with Doug Peak covering Shelton and holding on to his trunks to secure the pin. Winner: Doug Peak, by pinfall using underhanded tactics #1 Contender Tournament Quarterfinal match Black Eagle vs Henry Bennett Being from Tennessee and utilizing a classic technical wrestling style, Bennett had the fans behind him throughout the match against his high flying masked opponent. This clash of styles was what the bout was built upon, with Eagle trying to stay on the move and Bennett attempting to keep him grounded and work on his legs to limit his mobility. It took some work breaking down the mysterious one, but Bennett was able to pull it off and shortly before the ten minute mark, he was able to put him in the Figure Four and squeeze out the submission. Winner: Henry Bennett, by submission Rich Money makes his way to the ring wearing the recently won Piledriver Men's title around his waist. Larry Grubbs slides in under the bottom rope with a mic in hand to interview him. Grubbs: "Ladies and gentlemen, I am here with the new Piledriver Men's champion, Rich Money. Congratulations Rich, fans want to know..." Money: "Like I care what fans want to know, Larry! I'm not in this business for the fans, I'm in it to make more money and that's exactly what I did. I'm cashing a champion's cheques now. I'm what's best for business. No one takes a promotion seriously when their top star is called Nuzzle Bunny. But when you tell someone your champion is Rich Money, they pay attention. Hell, they pay money to see a man like me wrestle. I am this company's most prized asset. I put butts in seats. I... make it rain!" Grubbs: "What are your comments on this tournament to determine your challenger? Who do you see winning, or who would you rather face to defend your title?" Money: "I'm seeing some great competitors. But none as great as myself. It doesn't matter who you put in my way, line 'em up and I'll knock 'em down." Grubbs: "Aren't you worried that Micky Starr is trying to find a champion to his cause through all this?" Money: "Don't make this about you, Larry, because it's not about you, it's about me. You lost your spot at the announcing table, I'm not losing this title and Mr. Starr knows damn well I'm the future of Piledriver Wrestling!" Rich Money's music plays and he flashes a smile towards the announcers. Micky Starr just shakes his head. #1 Contender Tournament Quarterfinal match Blue Sky vs Giant Redwood A variation of the previous match, this time with Giant Redwood relying on his sheer size and power to put the brakes on his aerialist opponent. A plodding big man of the old school mold, Redwood is far from an exciting or skilled wrestler, but at 7' tall and 465lbs he is not one to be taken lightly. Blue Sky found that out firsthand as his offense seemed to barely get under Redwood's skin and it only took a single opening for the big man to hit a ring shaking Standing Splash for the pin. Winner: Giant Redwood, by pinfall #1 Contender Tournament Quarterfinal match Big Cat Brandon vs Eddie Peak <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/u5KH6y2TKXw" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> Show Rating
  3. <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #6e1812; max-width:55%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> Once again, the episode kicks off with Boneyard in the middle of an intense conversation with Brother Grimm and Big Magic. GSW's power players tell the big man he had his chance last week and blew it, with Boneyard trying to argue that he got cheated out of a win. Grimm doesn't want to hear it and mentions how the once-mighty State of Destruction are now going downhill: Boneyard lost the American title and couldn't reclaim it, twice, while BB Colossus lost to Raheem Stash. Grimm says at this rate, he might have to consider hiring Stash as his personal bodyguard. Suddenly, Boneyard cracks a wicked smile and says he has an idea that might solve everyone's problems... (Rating: 38) The intro segment leads right into the opening contest, with Raheem Stash showcasing his dominance in a short but physical match against Omar. Once again, fans aren't excited by the Black Superman's high flying and gleefully cheer the big Jamaican as he brutally demolishes him, eventually nailing the Standing Powerslam for the pin as Kandii cheers from the sidelines. (Rating: 35) E-Soteric comes to the ring and cuts a promo on Tavon Blake Jr, who he congratulates for being a champion, albeit a fluke one. He doesn't mince words when it comes to Big Magic though, saying he pulled the rug under his feet and surprised him, which isn't how title matches are supposed to be booked. Magic comes out to respond, saying this is the GSW and anything could happen at any time, so the champ better be ready to defend a title without notice. E-Soteric isn't pleased, but his mic is cut off and the intro music for the next match starts playing, forcing him to leave the ring. (Rating: 38) Clifford Caves and MC Motormouth provide some much needed context at the start of this match, explaining Mexico's Finest winning last week's main event saw Los Guerilleros push for a shot at the Tag Team titles and since LBC are now a three man group, this match was made while the request is being considered. Every bit the crazy hardcore brawl one would expect from these six, the match comes down to teamwork and cohesion. Los Guerilleros function like a well-oiled machine, whereas Mobstar is clearly more used to teaming with Gravedigga than Aces and Slick, something he pays for as he ends up getting isolated and pinned after Finest slams him to the mat with a Hard Times chokeslam. (Rating: 46) In a pre-taped message shot in his home streets of Compton, Busta Capp cuts a promo to talk about "keepin' it real" and how he treats wrestling with respect, something he feels Magwitch isn't. As the face of GSW, the veteran says he takes that personally and decided to do something about it. Magwitch may have gotten to jump him back, but this is only just beginning and "that clown" has no idea the lengths "real m*****ing G's" can go to. (Rating: 41) Following up last week's arrangement, Foxxy LaRue meets Fro Sure in the main event but not in the ring, as their brawl is off to an early start before the entrances are completed. Most of the fighting takes place in the crowd, though it's not the usual GSW streetfight vibe; instead, given the two participants' style and physique, it's more of an intense, sparkplug-like exchange of blows back and forth until finally referee Moore Vincent is able to direct the action back into the ring. LaRue tries to hit the Flash Head Kick as Fro is getting back into the ring, but he barely sees it coming and pulls back, resulting in LaRue's foot getting caught up in the ropes. This provides Fro with enough time to get back inside and piledrive his opponent with the Sure Thing, laying LaRue out for the count. (Rating: 45) </div>
  4. Not much of an SWF fan, so take my reply with a grain of salt. I've been quietly keeping tabs on your IPW diary (mainly because I'm a GSW shill lol) and with Lloyd already doing a good job on his SWF diary, I can't say if the audience will be split or happy to have double the content. Since you did bring ECW up though, I'd suggest the middle ground of "going mainstream/selling out". ECW had to water down its product to really get coverage and this caused an identity crisis; I'd be interested to see your IPW diary take a similar path.

  6. Thanks and welcome. Rich's 97 finisher is called Dollars from Heaven, so I figured the prayer diving headbutt is fitting. I also liked how he followed it up with a cocky pinning predicament. Matches his character. I'm planning to post the January news updates in a bit, to give readers an idea of the layout they'll follow.
  7. Arguably your best logo yet. Now, if only it was also used for that midget-exclusive promotion in the RockVerse...

  9. Introduction Hello and welcome dear friends and readers, old and new. For those of you who may not know me, I’m relatively fresh in terms of playing TEW and writing diaries, having gotten into both around the start of 2017. What I lack in years of experience I seem to make up with the sheer volume of diaries through, as I just can’t seem to be able to just play the game without turning it into a diary since the booking, angles and storylines feel void and directionless. I’ve done a bunch of diaries using my favourite CVerse promotion, GSW (the most recent of which is still active and can be found here), some well received BCG diaries, the latest of which flopped due to a transfer/backup/format issue I had. Not everything I do is great or keeps going long enough before it runs out of steam (I know my flaws and will openly admit them) but I guess I’m doing something right if I won DotM enough times to be in the Veteran Writers’ group and Most Improved Writer of the Year 2019. Gosh, feels so weird to be tooting my own horn when this is supposed to be an introduction and presentation of credentials. No wonder I’m terrible at job interviews. Anyway, I’m more of a CVerse over Real World type and when I’m not using the default database, CVerse97 is my go-to. It’s latest version was recently released and I resisted the urge to jump immediately into a new save/diary, even if it’s been on my list of “to-do” projects since TEW20 was announced (yes, I have a list of specific diaries I wanted to do, Tarantino style, in order to refrain from starting a ton of diaries again). Lately though, it feels as if things are starting to fall in place. My longest save to date has been a Road to Glory game using the CVerse97 database, which went on for 14+ in-game years and can be found here while I’ve had much fun (and success) in the past booking the modern version of a CVerse97 promotion, Piledriver Wrestling. The dojo has produced many major stars and I wanted to revive that feeling as a small indy promotion that ended up rivalling RIPW itself. This company used to start without any contracts, but in the latest inception of the mod, comes with a starting roster, which I will be using. Game details, format and goals I wanted to post the first show at the start and hopefully give you a preview of what to expect as well as hook you in with stuff like Micky Starr showing up or Rich Money winning a title. Here is a little more information on what’s going on and what I have in mind. My user character is Micky Starr and I’m playing as the owner of PDW. I enjoy trying to stick within owner goals, but found out this can be quite restrictive when writing a diary, especially if the owner is… unusual. The idea behind this is that Starr is giving back to the business in the States and helping what he essentially sees as an SWF/RIPW feeder league, so his ties to the Eisens could play into the story. As you can tell from the roster of the show above, PDW starts with some big future stars and more will debut over the course of the game. I’m not interested in a precise recreation of CVerse canon and knowing who the big stars are ahead of their time feels a bit like cheating, so I set database variance to Extreme and Random Incidents as well as Worker Deaths to maximum. Hopefully these settings will shake things up enough to make them interesting and unpredictable. I’m sticking to three basic rules when it comes to hiring workers: must be under 30 years of age and unemployed, while Piledriver dojo graduates will be hired as soon as they debut. These may change down the road, but I figure it’ll take quite some time before I’m in a position where any of there rules needs to be changed. In my long CVerse97 game, I enjoyed seeing how the world evolved and apparently so did people reading the diary. Therefore, I will be tracking down the news of each month and posting updates to keep you all up to speed. Last but not least, instead of writing out the main event of each show, I will be using Fire Pro Wrestling to showcase it. I’ve gotten pretty decent when it comes to designing workers fast, easy and wrestling much like they’re supposed to, so I enjoy this visualization. Furthermore, it’s motivation to stick with this save/company and grow, at least to the point where I start using big venues for major crowds, which in turn will allow me to use other FPW venues for the videos, complete with wrestler entrances. Thanks DerekB for creating and updating the CVerse97 mod, as well as all the users that have offered assistance: Scapino, the team of That 70s Mod, London, Wonk, brat99, absolutelyridiculous, Acey, Bagins, bjohnanes, CreeperGav, D-Lyrium, d12345, DaneplaysTEW, Deathcon, Dorian, gtb321, Hollywood, InstantlyOil, Jomosensual, kanegan, Kijar, LloydCross, LucasLutkus, PsychoRAIJIN, Regis and Wicked Intentions Everyone whose re-renders I will be using, including but not limited to King Bison, willr0ck, shipshirt, jtlant, smw88, sockpuppet, jsilver, Asaemon, poputt and others. Also ReapeR for designing the PDW title belts and southside_hitmen for the letter grades, I like this more generic star rating for a small indy promotion and will be using those instead of numbers. It's also in line with the way grades were presented in the previous Piledriver diary. Historian, Chisoku, Lloyd, Togg, Bigelow Cartwheel and several others for their support and inspiration. Much love and apologies to anyone I may have forgot to mention specifically and thank you for being here, dear reader. Hope you enjoy.
  10. Piledriver Wrestling presents ...and a happy New Year 1997 Wednesday, Week 1, January, 1997 Live from Atlanta, GA Sims: "Hello fans of Piledriver Wrestling, Dennis sims here alongside Larry Grubbs, we welcome you to tonight's show and thank you for purchasing a tape in support of our upstart promotion. By getting your copy you not only support a company out to help groom the stars of tomorrow which you get to see in their very first steps, you also get to watch some of the most exciting independent wresting in the U.S. of A!" Grubbs: "You know Dennis, it's always weird to hear you address our future audience, so I'm not going to be a part of it. I'm just going to do the job I was paid to do and call the action as it happens, don't care if it's a live or taped broadc... what the?" A well-known music theme is played on the Community Center's speakers, one all too familiar to wrestling fans and certainly one you'd never expect to hear at an indy show that didn't even manage to get a hundred paying fans to watch... It's Micky Starr! The SWF legend Micky Starr is in the building! Starr: "Man it feels good to be here! Yeah, you people never expected to see me here, did you? Goes to show, don't count the little promotions out, not everything happens in the big leagues. Anyway, I bet you're wondering why I'm here..." Fans cheer and Micky Starr takes it all in, before turning to the announcers' table and pointing a finger towards Larry Grubbs Starr: "I got a seat reserved right there... You know, it's easy to get selfish in this business. Let your ego get the best of you. Forget where you came from. I did not. I had my time and once I hung up my boots, I tried to give back to this business. Help the next generation. I went to Japan, worked for Golden Canvas. Canada, with the DeColts. But I realized I hadn't done anything to help my fellow American wrestlers. So Larry, if you'd please check with the crew backstage, they'll fill you in on your new responsibilities. I'm taking over on commentary for the foreseeable future. You fans excited for what's next?" Fans cheer and Micky Starr leaves the ring. Larry Grubbs complains for a while, but eventually leaves in frustration to head backstage as Starr takes his place on commentary. Big Cat Brandon & Henry Bennett vs Giant Redwood & R.T. Kayfabe Piledriver Wrestling's resident angry big clumsy man teams up with the company's basic comedy act to take on the feline wildman powerhouse Big Cat Brandon and "The Trouble from Tennessee" Henry Bennett who provides some semblance of technical wrestling for the opener. It's not great, but it rides the coattails of Micky Starr's shock appearance and is over while the excitement from that still lasts., with Brandon pinning R.T. after spearing him with the Big Cat Pounce. Winners: Big Cat Brandon & Henry Bennett, by pinfall Piledriver Women's title match Ashley Murphy © vs Cat E Tude Don't let the gimmicky nurse outfit fool you, Ashley Murphy is a legitimately trained nurse. Which means she pulls her punches back as much as she can. Looks weak, but at least she can play it up for laughs or to be the underdog. Her opponent is an even weirder case, the crazy cat lady of wrestling. Where the gimmick ends and the real person begins is never quite clear with her. In this case, she's more interested in sniffing the ring than actually wrestling, something that may or may not be attributed to the presence of Big Cat Brandon between the ropes earlier. This is anything from boring to embarrassing to watch, but for the record Murphy does apply her Painkiller finisher to retain. Winner AND STILL Piledriver Women's champion: Ashley Murphy, by submission (defenses: 3) Larry Grubbs returns with a mic in hand and enters the ring. He announces that he was told he will be interviewing the wrestlers from now on and his first interview is scheduled next, with none other than Rich Money, whose music plays as he comes down to the ring while showered with boos but not seeming to care. Money: "You plebs are not worthy of my presence, or that of the living legend that is Micky Starr over there. This man's here because he can tell, no pun intended, a real star when he sees one. Takes one to know one, I'll say. Anyway, it is only fitting you are here tonight sir, to watch me take my place among the top of the food chain in this humble promotion. I have used my sizeable financial pull to buy myself a shot at the Piledriver Men's title tonight and I by the end of the night, I will be the new champion. Tonight, Rich Money... will make it rain!" Piledriver Tag Team titles match The Peak Brothers defeated Dario Shelton and Skeeter Colquhoun The vacant Piledriver Tag Team titles were wrestled for next, with the Peak Brothers in their first year as pros but looking every bit as vicious as one would expect, especially after they gained notoriety for that "shoot" incident with Big Smack Scott. Doug and Eddie jumped the gun and imposed their pace on the match, brawling wildly outside the ring against two opponents who just couldn't match the natural understanding of two siblings. Skeeter Colquhoun's charisma and flashy spots did earn him a few cheers from the audience (despite his painful lack of psychology) and although Shelton was actually the best wrestler in this match, since this was about brawling and not grappling, he was unable to play to his strengths and ended up on the working end of a Peak and Valley. Winners AND NEW Piledriver Tag Team champions: The Peak Brothers, by pinfall Black Eagle vs Blue Sky Battle of the luchadors in the semi main event as Black Eagle and Blue Sky brought the fight to each other. Not the best match these two could possibly have, since the audience is more into old school wrestling than a flashier aerial style and thus they had to play a more grounded game instead of being able to pull out all the stops. Clearly this was meant more as a breather and palette cleanser between two title matches and nothing was resolved between the two masked men, as they ended up getting counted out after a spectacular plancha to the outside. Result: Draw (Double Countout) Piledriver Men's title match Chris "Nuzzle Bunny" Bruins © vs Rich Money Show Rating

Boneyard is there, but instead of his usual position a step behind Grimm, he's on the other side of the table, pitching his request for a one on one match against Raheem Stash. Grimm and Magic have the hard task of telling the big man his request has to be considered, since he's not the only one asking for opportunities. Others have made demands too and there's only one way to prioritize them: a match between the petitioners, tonight. (Rating: 59) E-Soteric is out to vent his frustration for losing the West Coast title, but he is known to get careless when overly excited and Max Mayhem is a veteran not to be taken lightly. A surprisingly intense and competitive opener, this one goes on for about six minutes before the former champion hits the Double Arm DDT for the pin. (Rating: 40) The Long Beach Crew make their entrance to a mixed but loud reaction, now with Mobstar in their ranks as the big man is regularly sporting a red bandana to match the group's color (and gang affiliation) scheme. He and Aces High flank Cali Slick as he cuts a promo on the mic, announcing that from now on, the Tag Team titles are property of the entire group and either combination of the three can show up to defend them. (Rating: 34) In the aftermath of the main event at A Matter of Respect and Magwitch returning to cost Capp and Fro the match as payback for Capp attacking the demented clown earlier, this one is full of heat and personal hatred from the get-go. It doesn't take long for weapons to be introduced to the match either and fan bloodthirst is satisfied with both men bleeding profusely just minutes into the bout. Capp is all too happy to go full gangsta on his opponent but Magwitch seems to enjoy taking a beating as much as he enjoys giving it and ends up with a shocking victory when he spits blood in Capp's eyes and rolls him up for the pin. (Rating: 30) Right after Capp's surprise loss, Motor City Made show up and Foxxy LaRue cuts a promo about the team's win at A Matter of Respect. Fro Sure interrupts to point out he was never pinned and he still has a score to settle, demanding a title shot. The crowd pops at the prospect of such a match, but LaRue points out that shots don't work like that. However, she'd be happy to face Fro next week and if he's able to defeat her, maybe DT will consider putting his title on the line against him. (Rating: 47) Boneyard's opponent turns out to be Mexico's Finest, as clearly Los Guerilleros are on a roll after putting Hard-1 on the shelf for good and beating down the rest of the Lone Star Crew. The subsequent brawl, essentially a glorified street fight, spills outside the ring as the two big bruisers swing back and forth. As expected, MexiCain and LatiNoFear get involved in the match after a while and despite his defiant efforts, Boneyard ends up getting overwhelmed by the 3 on 1 situation and, with some assistance from Brown Pride, gets chokeslammed with a Hard Times and pinned by the ex-con from south of the border. (Rating: 37) </div>

Clearly this was meant more as a breather and palette cleanser between two title matches and nothing was resolved between the two masked men, as they ended up getting counted out after a spectacular plancha to the outside. God knows he needed a hit after the news, but the best way to deal with 'digga was to go with his flow anyway. He was a wild one, barely playing up his true self as part of his gimmick, but not the fun lovin' kind of wild. Maybe it was the hood in him, but he'd get jumpy about pretty much anything. Polar opposite of Mobstar, whose only participation in all this discussion was to simply be around, arms crossed in front of his chest and leaning against a wall like a dopeman waiting for customers out on the street. He took a drag and let the smoke twirl in his lungs, mouth and nose before slowly blowing it out. "This some fine-ass chronic, man. I'mma miss shit like this" Grimm said, trying to find some common ground for the conversation that lay ahead. It wasn't the first time he was in a rough negotiation, but somehow he could feel the outcome was already determined and he was simply there for damage control. Gravedigga was on his way out of GSW. "You suckin' up to me now, Grimm? Cuz that's disrespectful. I ain't ever kissed yo ass in twenty years I worked for you" Gravedigga responded, ready as always to get offended for any reason, real or imaginary. Grimm wanted to respond that 'disrespectful' was winning the title and immediately deciding to leave, but fanning the flames was the last thing he needed at that point. "Nah n***a, I'm sucking up this shit" he said playfully, before taking another hit and passing the j to Mobstar, who accepted it without saying a word. "I will warn you though, I better not see yo sorry ass inside an IPW ring" he added. "Nah fam, f**k those bitches, word is bond, I'm out to try some different shit. Coastal Zone, maybe. Form a crew with Bullseye and Walls or some shit like that. Who knows?" Gravedigga answered, clearly the whole 'disrespect' stuff forgotten already. Might have been the weed, but 'crew' made some cogs in Grimm's head turn in a pretty unusual manner. Things just clicked into place, as he shifted his attention from the departing Gravedigga to Mobstar who'd be staying behind. "Know what?" Grimm spoke up, addressing Gravedigga again. "I wish you all the best in your future endeavors, or whatever the f**k they say in the big leagues. Fo real, I'mma see if I can pull some strings and hook you up. I just want you to give me one last match at the big show. Drop the gold and go out with a bang. Think you can do that?" Gravedigga took a long hit from the joint Mobstar passed him and smiled, showing the gold and diamonds on his teeth as the smoke poured out like he was a dragon or something. The weed was getting to him, his head bobbing to the beats and bass seeping through the club's thick walls. He began to mumble. "If theyre taking what you earn and you always getting burned, put their face on the curb, you gots to bang bang" <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZAEFhddLYVM" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> </div>
  15. You doing great GSW content started the urge to do some GSW action myself. Used to do that with GSW in the '16 game. This one is very different, both in terms of roster and evolution. I like the change, hope I can still surprise my long time readers every now and then.

Nothing spectacular to be said about this match, G Force hit his wonderfully named Vomit Comet finisher to pin Miss Jones and end the bout. Some high flying action to start off the show in an impactful way, Too Hot's charisma really made this work and fans care. There were some glimpses of potential from Black Diamond as well, who seems to have the skill, looks, charisma and X-factor; with enough experience between the ropes and on the mic, she may well be one for the future. For now, the night belonged to Top Dolla as the former West Coast champion hit his signature suicide dive off a balcony overlooking the ring and onto Omar for the pin, a bittersweet victory for Dolla that took out great physical toll on his body. (Rating: 33) Los Guerilleros hit the ring in full force with Mexico's Finest sticking around to oversee Brown Pride, but their opponents had an answer when they came out to the ring escorted by Hard-1. The tough Texan got a good pop from the crowd, his arm in a sling due to the shoulder injury he recently suffered while wrestling. His presence played into the story of the match as well, providing an extra pair of eyes against Los Guerilleros, preventing Mexico's Finest from interfering too often and providing his veteran knowledge to counter the teaming experience of MexiCain and LatiNoFear. Lot of back and forth in the match, with Hard-1's team having a slight power advantage and Papa Swoll more than able to match LNF's high flying, in the end however Public Enemy #1's emotions got the best of him and he got carried away into making a rookie mistake in his rage, which in turn created an opening for Brown Pride to hit him with the Border Toss and pin him. (Rating: 28) Once the match was officially over, Mexico's Finest retrieved the baseball bats his crew carried to the ring as part of their entrance. Signature weapon in hand, Los Guerilleros swarmed Papa Swoll and then circled the injured Hard-1 like a pack of sharks smelling blood in the water. GSW is no stranger to beatdowns, but seeing those three go after Hard-1's injury bats in hand was almost uncomfortable to watch. (Rating: 38) The long awaited clash between two of the biggest, baddest men in GSW did not disappoint as BB Colossus finally got in the ring against Raheem Stash. Quite unlike a typical BB match, this was not the chaotic overbooked mess his bouts usually are, although it did last almost as much as his matches do at just under six minutes. It was six minutes of hoss versus hoss though. There was plenty of angling and glaring and shoving with little actual wrestling on display, but with wrestlers this size, even the most basic of moves or slams feel way more devastating. It was Kandii though who tipped the scales in her man's favor, raking the eyes of BB Colossus with her manicured nails while the sheer mass of Raheem Stash blocked the referee's line of sight. One sloppy Standing Powerslam later (sloppy or not, it's not every day you see a near 400lb man powerslammed) and Raheem Stash got the 1-2-3. (Rating: 36) Stash had little time to celebrate, because Boneyard made his way to the ring after the match was over. This was a classic case of climbing a mountain only to see a taller one right behind it and Stash seemed to welcome the challenge of potentially facing the former American champion. It wasn’t meant to be though, as Brother Grimm came out with a mic in hand to break things up… for now. (Rating: 52) With the ring cleared, GSW’s Commissioner of Violence took center stage and called out the West Coast champion. E-Soteric came out accompanied by Tavon Blake Jr. and cut a promo about having run out of challengers for his gold, which is why he wasn’t scheduled to wrestle. Big Magic had to agree, but he couldn’t help pointing out Blake, who E-Soteric clearly thinks high of. Indeed, Magic said, you’d be hard pressed to argue that perhaps the only worthy challenger is TBJ, which is why he would be getting a shot, effective immediately. (Rating: 31) E-Soteric threw a tantrum at the announcement, but the match was made official and things kicked off so he had to get serious if he wanted to retain. Blake respectfully waited for him instead of surprising him while the champ was complaining and the two started trading punches soon after. For all their similarities though, the two men just didn’t seem to gel as opponents in what was essentially a glorified boxing match at first, so TBJ tried to throw in some shoot grappling in hopes of mixing things up. While this did not take the bout into five star territory, it was enough to salvage the surprise title match as well as E-Soteric, who got caught in a slick fisherman suplex with a bridge that TBJ apparently calls “the Black Plex”. Surprised in more ways than one, E-Soteric ended up held down for three seconds and just like that, Tavon Blake Jr. was crowned the new GSW West Coast champion. (Rating: 38) In the semi-main event, recently crowned Tag Team champions Dead Men Walking had a rematch against the former title holders, the Long Beach Crew and it felt anything but repetitive. Both teams have a long history in the company and good standing with the fans, having held the gold on multiple occasions and gone to great lengths in order to capture or retain it. This was no different and with CJ Weston missing as well as the careers of Slick and Aces on the line, there was an added sense of urgency given the high stakes in the bout. It only took a few minutes for the first blood to be spilled and Slick drew it with glee as he used his gold chain either as a whip or wrapped around his fist to pummel the opposition’s foreheads. Gravedigga and Aces High were their usual crazy -and probably doped out- selves doing all sorts of crazy spots, with the fans eating up the action for ten or so minutes, bell to bell. Just when it seemed like both teams were running out of things to hit each other with, Mobstar shocked the world by turning on his teammate to set him up for the High and Low. Before fans or announcers had a chance to realize what had happened, Aces High floated over for the cover and the Long Beach Crew were champs again. (Rating: 48) With fans going wild, Mobstar, Slick and Aces beat down Gravedigga, before shaking hands and hugging it out to signal their new allegiance. Mobstar threw away his signature blue bandana and accepted the red one Aces High offered him, while Slick got on the mic to welcome the newest member of Long Beach Crew. (Rating: 36) Given the chaotic action and dramatic twists before, the main event had plenty to live up to but all four participants gave everything they had to make this a memorable one. LaRue held her own with three of GSW’s finest, the brawl spilling out at ringside and among fans within minutes. As competitive as can be, the match saw momentum swinging back and forth as both teams pulled out all the stops. What really tipped the scales was the sudden appearance of Magwitch, not seen since Capp attacked him at Beneath the City. GSW’s resident demented clown popped out of the crowd and delivered a beatdown on the unsuspecting Capp, adding to the confusion, chaos and drama of the match. While it wasn’t the spot that played into the end, it certainly caused Busta Capp to lose focus and a lot of gas from the tank, his performance significantly waning until he ended up receiving the Crooked Moonsault from Deaf Touch who kept him down for the pin. Apparently mid-conversation already, Grimm again denies any involvement regarding CJ Weston and Big Magic shoots down a rematch for the tag titles. Aces High only ups the ante when he says the team is willing to put their careers on the line for this shot and Slick doubles down, saying if they lose, they'll leave GSW and go out to search for Weston. Intrigued, Magic and Grimm look at each other, then both agree to the match with this stipulation, but only as long as the Long Beach Crew also agrees to a match tonight... (Rating: 35) The opening bout sees plenty of fists flying from the get go, though a Pounce from Swoll is enough to tackle Devyn out of the ring and continue the slugfest on the outside. While the action turns out better that one might expect, fans hate Retribution and don't much care for Swoll yet, so the response doesn't quite match the wrestling, except the finish where Retribution gets hit with the Pounce again, this time inside the ring, to get pinned. (Rating: 15) E-Soteric puts his West Coast championship on the line in a televised defense against "The Black Superman" and the vocal crowd lets Omar know they think he doesn't belong. Between his high flying and the defending champion's striking, the match is a weird mix that's neither a brawl, nor hardcore ultraviolence or a high flying spectacle, but still it's pretty serviceable. Omar ends up hitting the High Velocity Headbutt but no one's home when he lands and E-Soteric quickly responds with a Double Arm DDT to retain, marking down defense number four of the title. (Rating: 37) Foxxy LaRue takes on mic duty again for this promo by Motor City Made. LaRue rips into both Fro Sure and Bust Capp, saying the talk big but don't back it up; if they wanna face her and DT, they should consider their challenge accepted, but it's gonna be another case of their mouths writing checks their ass can't cash: the American champion and the baddest bitch in this business will take care of business. (Rating: 37) All four of GSW's veteran members delivered a bloody hardcore brawl in the main event, holding nothing back. Long Beach Crew used their teaming experience to control the pace of the match, but sometimes they seemed a bit out of step, be it due to CJ Weston's absence or perhaps being too worried about Dead Men Walking attacking them. Fro and Capp were able to exploit these openings and test their teamwork in light of their apparent upcoming clash against Motor City Made and there seems to be potential to this team, as Capp was able to take out Aces with a Mafia Kick and end the show with a victory for his team. His attitude pisses off the Long Beach Crew, but Boneyard steps in from the shadows with a grunt, his message clear, forcing the Long Beach Crew to leave the room in frustration, promising to get to the bottom of this. It's not the hard hitting action GSW fans are used to, but it's an interesting change from the usual stuff and five action packed minutes before Omar soars for the High Velocity Headbutt that earns him victory. (Rating: 26) After winning their match at Beneath the City, E-Soteric and TBJ look to score another big victory as a duo against the more regular pairing of Hard-1 and Public Enemy #1. Despite all four men being brawlers and hard hitters, the match has a slower, more methodical pace, less like the usual crazy GSW brawl outside the ring and more like a strong style bout. Hard-1 pays the price for it though when he's whipped to the corner and stumbles before he can turn around proper, resulting in his shoulder tackling the post. After checking in with him, referee Moore Vincent throws up the dreaded X with his arms and E-Soteric rushes to hit the stumbling veteran with the Double Arm DDT for a pinfall to end the bout. GSW's Commissioner of Violence stumbles through a promo, clearly trying to come up with something new that makes sense after the outcome of the match. Magic says he was in his office with the Tag Team champions discussing who would be their first challenger. Despite both teams' effort in this match, neither has convinced him yet and as of such, DMW remain unchallenged. (Rating: 20) A short video and graphic is shown next, confirming that it is now official, BB Colossus and Raheem Stash will be facing off in a singles match at GSW's next major show, A Matter of Respect. (Rating: 21) Fro Sure goes one on one with Mexico's Finest in the night's main event, a sparkplug brawler versus a hardcore powerhouse in a match that just can't be contained by the ring. GSW's resident ex convict controls most of the match with his strength, but Fro has the energy and resilience to stay in the match where others would have gone out cold. Eventually, MF starts to show signs of missing a step or two as his gas tank is running low and Fro is able to take things back into the ring, but once he tries to lift his opponent up for his piledriver finisher, MF's weight is a bit too much and the Mexican is able to shift it in time to reverse the situation into a pinning predicament, adding some extra leverage with a foot on the ropes. (Rating: 49) As the speakers blast the winner's music, Brown Pride join him in the ring to celebrate, wrapping the show up with a 3 on 1 beatdown on Fro Sure. No one rushes out to make the save and Fro is left unconscious in the middle of the ring as Los Guerilleros stand tall. (Rating: 35) </div>
  22. Thanks. Been a busy January, hoping my posting will be less infrequent now. Once I really got it going, I might add some backstage narrative or news of the game world to spice things up a bit.
  23. <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #6e1812; max-width:55%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"> The episode begins with Busta Capp in Big Magic's office. In the aftermath of Capp's post-match attack on the winner of the six man hardcore free for all, the Commissioner of Violence attempts to get some sort of an apology from him, but Capp has none. With neither an apology or explanation for his actions, Magic is forced to admit he doesn't like clowns either, but he can't let wrestlers disrespect his authority like that. Therefore, he's putting him in the ring against Cali Slick tonight, one on one, in the main event. (Rating: 35) G Force tries to tap into his backyard roots and hit some reckless flying offense on his monstrous opponent, but BB won't budge and the rookie never really gets a chance to get going as Colossus has his way with him and hits the Colossus Avalanche for the pin, ending the match around two and a half minutes. (Rating: 25) Raheem Stash is shown entering Brother Grimm's office in the Warehouse, Boneyard a step behind Grimm's shadow as always. The owner of GSW brings up the rivalry between Stash and BB Colossus, as well as their brawl at Beneath the City. He mentions Big Magic wanted to fine them for their actions, but Grimm stepped in to point out there's money to be made for everyone in a BB-Stash match. Now thanks to Grimm, Stash is spared the fine and stands to make a lot of money. Unimpressed, the Jamaican says he'd be fine just wrecking the Colossus, but if he can make some cash out of doing it, fine. (Rating: 45) Top Dolla is still suffering from the aftereffects of his crazy match at Beneath the City, on top of him and Too Hot being singles wrestlers against a veteran tag team in MexiCain and LatiNoFear. Despite Hot's best efforts and the occasional stunt from Dolla, Brown Pride have this in the bag and take down the former 4C star with the Border Toss. (Rating: 45) Foxxy LaRue and Deaf Touch are shown in the VIP area of the Warehouse. DT has the American title around his waist and stands around while Foxxy does the talking. LaRue mentions how she's been trying to make it against competition that's Texas tough, drawing a parallel between that and DT's resilience. She says the two share this toughness because they're from the same town. They're Motor City Made. Fro Sure walks by and jumps on the chance to get on the mic to tease the name and LaRue. For a moment, things get tense, but DT gets in the way. What comes next is a brief gesturing back and forth between him and LaRue, revealing she's fluent in ASL as she tells Fro he's lucky DT has a point, otherwise she'd be slapping Fro in the face for disrespecting the baddest bitch in this business. (Rating: 45) A rare singles match from Cali Slick, who's got Aces High in his corner but not CJ Weston, who has been absent from commentary as well all night after the bump he took at Beneath the City. Capp shows sign of respect towards his opponent at the start of the match, but their brawl is not contained by the ring ropes and they soon end up slugging it out in the audience. Aces High is being his usual high energy obnoxious self and frequently interjects himself to save his partner or provide him with a chance to recover when needed. Eventually, Capp has had enough and tries to take Aces out with a chair, only to get kicked in the gut and have the chair snatched out of his hands before Aces whacks him with it. It's done blatantly in front of the referee, but GSW does not bother with DQs or countouts, so the match continues and Aces puts a finger on his temple, clearly bragging on this being the plan all along as his partner hits the Slick-Back on Capp for the pin.
