  2. <p>Burning Hammer were quick to kill off the opposition in the face of a struggling GCG and PGHW before it could take off. Why they also pulled the trigger on 5SSW, I'll never know but they quickly became a monopoly in Japan and set for world domination. NotBPW are a similar story with the quick collapse of CGC and their womens division was able to bring in insane talent after women's wrestling died in Japan.</p><p> </p><p> Etsuko and Geena have indeed grown organically, especially Geena who was with the company before her 30s. Viv Jacobs is the same, though she's not nearly as popular and can't wrestle as great, so she's helping bring up talent in developmental. Their pop is in the B-C range, while all the other women can't get past D, so they've overshadowed the rest of the division. J-Ro will hopefully help rectify this, she too has a C pop in Europe.</p><p> </p><p> I'm rolling with the mod's default settings, Death and Injury are set to Medium but game-generated workers are set to start debuting from Jan97 already, when the default CVerse has the date pushed 20 years after the start of the game. Coupled with all the 'canon' wrestlers set to debut, I'm guessing the game engine is taking out people left and right to avoid an overly bloated database that would be slower and harder to process. I've just set new worker generation rate from Medium to Very Low, wonder if it'll change the death/injury/retirement rate.</p><p> </p><p> As always, thanks for reading and commenting. Glad you liked the show.</p>

Elsewhere in May 2013 USA After completely tearing his Posterior Cruciate Ligament, Jon Jetson retired from in-ring action at 48 years of age while also stepping down as USPW’s booker. His replacement is still to be named, assuming Giant Redwood won’t keep the book for himself. Earlier this month, fans saw Wayne Gallagher and Warren Phillips beat Robbie Retro and Jamie Grove for the USPW World Tag Team titles. The former champions managed 7 successful defenses prior to that loss. USPW signed AAA and former QAW star Talia Quinzel for their Womens division but lost a big star in Grandmaster Phunk, who left the promotion to work for New England Wrestling, SWF’s developmental company. Though talented, Phunk is slowly becoming a persona non grata in the professional wrestling industry after issues with big names like Phil Vibert, Gareth Wayne and Giant Redwood. Whether similar issues will come up with the Eisen family remains to be seen. Hollyweird Grappling Company signed Reece Clark, who was offered a lucrative deal in order to jump ship from SWF. Clark was trained in the Supreme University but left the Eisen Empire in 1998 to gain experience with various independent promotions in the East Coast. HGC first signed him in 2002 and he stayed with them until 2010 before re-joining SWF. Now that his 3 year deal was nearing expiry, HGC spared no expense to bring the promising youngster back on their roster. After 11 successful title defenses, Liberty lost the gold to Adonis, who began his 1st reign as HGC Arena champion. This also marks the 43 year old star as a “Quadruple Crown” winner, having now held every singles title in the promotion. Canada Future Shock Wrestling Inc. signed the Boston Bomber on a pay per appearance deal. Known for his performances with Championship Wrestling from Boston and Texas Wrestling League in the 1970s, the veteran switched to a manager role in the late 80s due to drug issues and has recently kept himself busy as a road agent for Canada’s 4C until their failure and since, QAW. House of Stone graduate Del Martin signed a deal with Due North Canadian Wrestling. NotBPW still employ him on a non-exclusive deal and given how the youngster is still in his rookie year, this speaks volumes regarding his potential. Mexico The international alliance of El Demonio, Greg Gauge & Hisashi Shirasu beat tecnicos Mario Heroic, Bob Casey & Magik for the Campeonatos de Trios OLLIE. Referee Domingo Castillo’s contract wasn’t renewed upon expiry and instead, SotBPW hired Eduardo Moya to replace him. Mr Lucha II (Manuel Prieto) beat Martel Bertrand for the LLMW Arena Championship title. This is the first championship tile in the young man’s career to date. Japan Tetsunori Yamakage & Shingen Miyazaki beat Mito Miwa & Tsukasa Ashia at BHotWG Sword of Destiny to win the Burning World Tag Team, ending Miwa & Ashia’s impressive streak at 22 title defenses. EX2010 signed the 2011 star graduate of the Project Arkham School, Masa Kurata. This is the young lion’s first ever contract with a professional wrestling company. Europe Attack Championship of Wrestling signed wrestlers Arttu Andersson and Bas Hagen, the latter of which they are promoting as “The Super Crusher”. This is both men’s first ever professional wrestling contract. VWA signed Herman Brehme, also known as Herman the German. Although Herman is known mainly for teaming with Kirk the Turk as “The United Nations” he has not had as much success as his partner, who has been a regular ‘local enhancement talent’ for NGW since 1999. This is Brehme’s first ever contract after 14 years in the business and while his partner has already having spent a year with VWA, given how the Swiss promotion only books singles matches, the two are more likely to feud than reunite. New workers: Marcus Kerr, Matt Stoppard, Killer Kass, Hurricane Higor Rosa, Nate DeMarcus, Humberto David, Mallory Vidal, Florida Simard, Tomohiko Yamagata, Tomas Soto, Yoshimochi Narita Major Injuries: Tadamasa Otake (Grade VI AC Joint Separation, out for 6 months), Thor the Mighty (Glenoid Labrum Tear, out for 6 months), Rod ‘The God’ Todd a.k.a. Stefan Faust (Depressed Zygomatic Fracture, out for 3 months) Deaths: Mascara Roja (64), Greg Haskins (69), Bob Johnson (73) and the head trainer of Ling School, Nori Tsutomu (59)
  4. NGW Hard Times NGW Hard Times Held on Friday, Week 4 of May 2013 Bursa Indoor Arena, Turkey, South East Europe Attendance: 9.711, Buyrate: 0.03 (17.128 buys on Euro Your Demand) NGW Open Collective titles match The Outcasts (Beast Bantom, Landon Mallory & Petter Eriksson, with Viper McKenna) © The Czars (Igor Ivanoff, Ivan Ivanoff and Dovydas Vidmar) Former title holders (albeit with Kholov instead of Vidmar) and NGW Heavyweight Tag Team champions the Ivanoff brothers came into this match gunning for gold. Between them, Vidmar and the defending champions, the opening bout was a hard hitting brawl between six big bad men who wanted to hurt each other. No flashy moves, no technical wrestling, just pure force against force. Viper McKenna was ever vigilant, even sneaking around the ring to steal Vidmar’s bottle of vodka he brings with him to the ring, surprising the Bratva Bruiser when he reached out for his improvised weapon. Instead, McKenna waved the bottle with a smile from the other side of the ring and when he rushed to retrieve it, Vidmar accidentally knocked Igor Ivanov over, leaving Ivan all alone to get hit with the Northern Lights Suplex from Eriksson who made the cover for the champs to retain. Winners: The Outcasts (Beast Bantom, Landon Mallory and Petter Eriksson) by pinfall, acter Viper McKenna interfered The Outcasts (Beast Bantom, Landon Mallory and Petter Eriksson) make defence number 2 of their NGW Open Collective titles Backstage, the League of Heroes is assembled in full force around beloved veteran Stig Svensson, who makes the announcement that he will be wrestling his final match for NGW in September’s “Back to School” show. The League of Heroes (Nelson Frye, Robert Howard and Emerald Angel) The Real Deal (Wael Hossam, Edward Cornell and Roy Edison) Following Svensson’s announcement, his designated successor to lead the group was up to wrestle next. Frye and Howard are accomplished wrestlers, both individually and as a team but third man Emerald Angel was probably their weak link, being inexperienced and also the only non-heavyweight in the mix. All three men of the opposition attempted to isolate the masked high flyer, showing high ring IQ as grapplers Hossam and Edison especially tried to ground him. Cornell took on the role of the trio’s heavy hitter, using his instinctive understanding of Hossam to counter the double team attempts of Frye and Howard with some of their own. This was, without a doubt, Frye’s leadership test at the helm and he passed with flying colours in a big finish that saw him apply the Royal Armbar on 2012 Veteran Wrestler of the Year and master of mat grappling, Wael Hossam. With Howard keeping Cornell occupied as they brawled at ringside and Emerald Angel taking out Edison with a top rope splash, Hossam was left on his own to fend for himself and no matter what he tried, he could not escape; eventually, he had to tap or risk serious damage to his arm. Winners: The League of Heroes (Nelson Frye, Robert Howard and Emerald Angel) by submission Champagne Lover and Wade Orson vs Konrad Mäkinen and Paolo Gandalfini Orson has been splitting his time between NGW in Europe and RoF in England, but already he’s managed to establish himself as an up and comer in both. Teaming with the NGW Heavyweight champion in this match was a chance to shine and for Champagne Lover, a chance to take a closer look on a potential future challenger. Their opponents were two rookies primed for success, Sweden’s Konrad Mäkinen who recently returned from injury to make the jump into the Heavyweight division and the Italian Paolo Gandalfini fresh out of EWA’s proving grounds. As the bigger men of their respective teams, Orson and Gandalfini used their power to control opponents, with Mäkinen apparently having a bad night but still somehow looking better than his teammate. Of course, Champagne Lover was the real star here, but it was Orson who scored the pin after he hit Mäkinen with his Bounce Back finisher. Winners: Champagne Lover and Wade Orson, by pinfall Celebrations were cut short when the intimidating Moscow Mauler stepped out of the entrance. Addressing the NGW Heavyweight champion and not bothering with the youngsters, Marat Khoklov said he is going to win the King of the Ring Starmageddon match next month and reclaim the title Champagne Lover took from him last December. NGW Heavyweight Tag Team titles match Nigerian Hit Squad © vs The Johanssons (with Signe Lytjohan) Much like the opening title match, this one was not about technical expertise or impressive high flying attacks. Defending champions were well aware they were facing two men bigger than them, but still they went toe to toe with the Norwegian challengers in a hard hitting contest. The Lawal twins were out to prove themselves as the legitimate wrestlers and the Johanssons as nothing more than ‘sports entertainment’ big men, but they should know better than that given how the likes of Marat Khoklov have developed during their time with NGW. Indeed, Bam Bam put on a great performance, finally up to par with his younger (but schooled, not self taught) brother and showing that during his time with EWA, he has made up for the time he lost while out injured. After taking out Rahabad with a Double Northern Lights Bomb, Bam Bam tagged in his brother and Hercules caught the legal man in Rashid Lawal in the Hercules Lift for the tap out, meaning fans saw the first title switch of the night happen. Winners: The Johanssons, by submission The Johanssons win the NGW Heavyweight Tag Team titles NGW Cruiserweight Tag Team titles match Double Dutch © vs John Silver & Leon Harrison After scoring a surprise win over former champions Lister and Matravers at Walk Through Fire, the Dutch underdogs were up to make their first defense against the veteran duo of NGW’s co-founders. Though not as experienced as the champions in teaming together, Silver and Harrison did have the experience advantage and looked like they stood a good chance of winning despite only wrestling occasionally together as a team .Frank Van Heer shot their hopes down though when he hit a sunset flip off the ropes to roll up an extremely distracted Harrison and score the quick pin. Winners: Double Dutch, by pinfall with a quick roll up Double Dutch make defence number 1 of their NGW Cruiserweight Tag Team titles #1 Contender Triple Threat match "Mile High" Adam Matravers vs Christopher Lister vs Hardcore Hernandez Three Cruiserweights with a wide arsenal of impressive moves up their sleeve met in the ring next and yet, their match was anything but a mishmash of big spots. Teammates Lister and Matravers did start the match working together to eliminate Hernandez who, in an alternative take of his nickname, dropped the daredevil stunts in favor of some ringside brawling and the occasional item that could be used as a weapon. Still, the two on one advantage was too much and he quickly got hit with a Kanobi Kutter that laid him out. The pin had to happen inside the ring though so Team Fly dragged him back in but couldn’t agree on who should make the pin. This led to Matravers and Lister shaking hands before setting off to wrestle each other as Hernandez rolled out to regroup. Things started of with a hold-for-hold exchange, before Lister pulled off some very stiff chops and forearm shots that had Matravers rocking. The laid back high flyer was given no space to hit his aerial moves but Lister seemed hesitant to make the pin. Instead, he shifted his attention back to Hernandez who was just entering the ring and the two of them threw punches back and forth. Using the space provided, Matravers climbed to the top turnbuckle and hit a beautiful Mile High Moonsault aiming for both men. Lister had been expecting him to do just that though and he managed to move out of the way, letting Hernandez and Matravers take the full force of the move before he hit another Kanobi Kutter on Hernandez for good measure and pinned him to score the win. Winner: Christopher Lister, by pinfall NGW Women's title match Geena the Warrior Princess © vs "The Gothic Grappler" Fusae Etsuko A match nearly five full months in the making, this one was set to headline Hard Times and despite a load of quality contests before it, managed to outperform them all. Etsuko had gone through hard times indeed, first forced to relinquish the NGW Championship (now NGW Heavyweight title) with the creation of a separate division for female wrestlers, then forced to vacate the new NGW Women’s title due to injury. It was at that time that NGW Hall of Famer Geena the Warrior Princess left Canada’s North of the Border Pro Wrestling to return and claim the vacant title, further frustrating the Gothic Grappler who had a point when she said she was never defeated to lose the gold. Their rivalry led to a countout finish in their eventual title match and when the rest of the division requested an equal opportunity to fight for the title, Etsuko trampled them in the NGW Warrior Princess Challenge to earn a spot in this match, a title rematch against Geena. Both women knew this wasn’t going to be easy or short, so the start was slow as they paced around and challenged each other. Eventually, Geena called for a test of strength and after winning it, began to land shot after shot on her challenger. Stiff shots were Etsuko’s bread and butter in Japan though and she did not falter; instead, she dared the champion to hit her as hard as she could, defiantly dropping her defenses. Geena chopped once… twice...then ate a spinning forearm smash from the fired up Etsuko! Shooting for the dazed champion’s legs, Etsuko dropped Geena to the mat and proceeded to stretch her about, doing lasting damage while also taking away most of Geena’s striking offense. The focus was on the champion’s knee, Etsuko’s intention on crippling her opponent being obvious. Indeed, Geena managed to fight her way out of a tight spot but once she went for the Amazon Plunge, her knee gave in and she dropped to the mat, unable to complete her finishing move. Etsuko shot off the ropes to almost decapitate her with her own Darkness Falls finisher [slingshot Running Knee to a sitting opponent] but then the impossible happened when Geena kicked out of the cover! Etsuko looked like a wild woman herself: no one has ever kicked out of that before! Struggling back to their feet, the two ladies almost collapsed onto each other, trading blows but lacking much venom behind each shot. Geena brought Etsuko head first onto the mat with a spine crunching DDT but took too much time carefully setting up the Amazon Plunge and while her knee did not give in this time, Etsuko had time to recover and met the flying champion with her own knees up for the counter. It was almost twenty minutes already into this epic confrontation and no competitor seemed to have a distinct advantage as Etsuko climbed on top of the fallen Warrior Princess to apply the Lullaby. Frothing at the mouth, Geena’s eyes were bloodshot as she tried to escape but couldn’t. To her, tapping out was not an option but neither could she break away. Seconds seemed like years and after more than anyone’s ever lasted in Etsuko’s submission finisher, Geena passed out. Winner: Fusae Etsuko, bu stoppage after Geena The Warrior Princess could not continue Fusae Etsuko wins the NGW Womens title is quickly interrupted by that’s never before been played on an NGW show and out comes… Three time winner of the “Female Wrestler of the Year” award, Joanne Rodriguez! Etsuko stares in disbelief, well acquainted with “J-Ro” since their time together in Japan with Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Goddesses, where Rodriguez was World Champion, while Etsuko only held the tag titles with Tomoko Nagatsuka. Geena, herself a two time “Female Wrestler of the Year” and former Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Goddesses tag team champion with Lioness Musashibo looks stunned too, more with J-Ro’s arrival rather than her own loss. Clearly, things did not end with this match, they only just begun... Show rating:

Despite her long absence, Punnen has been busy wrestling pre-show matches and thus showed no signs of ring rust as she took on the powerhouse Trigg. Though less experienced, Trigg was able to (wo)manhandle her opponent around until the tag was made to Sato, who hit some double team moves with Winters to take down their inexperienced opponent. A distraction from Sawyer bought Trigg some time to tag in Daniels and the pace picked up with blows left and right until Torres got the tag to slow things down. The submission-favoring luchadora had an interesting exchange with Winters, perhaps a prequel of a clash many expect to see them have over the title, but an enthusiastic Punnen tagged herself in to provide some relief, only to get caught in the Venus Fly-Trap [Rolling Cross Armlock]. Punnen fought as long as she could, but never made it out of the hold or to the ropes. Neither did she tap out either though; it was Torres who pulled the arm with a sickening sound, intentionally injuring Punnen as referee Alvin Lavin called for the bell.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Sawyer Sports Services, by stoppage after Punnen was injured and unable to continue</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="R9KIBTS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/R9KIBTS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="f9JXISW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/f9JXISW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="BX7IQui.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BX7IQui.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Once the Architect and Jonah Pilgrim made their entrances, Syd Collier came out with a microphone to announce that he requested this match for a reason. Thankfully, the two men seem to really hit it off in the ring anyway, so things really work out fine. The Architect seeks to regain some momentum and prove himself to Collier, the shadow of Cameron Jones and The Dynamite Express meaning he has some big shoes to fill. Pilgrim, on the other hand, has been a bit off since the departure of his mentor/master/frat buddy Hal Harvard and the last thing he wants here is to lose his job too. As guest commentator Collier says, if Pilgrim wins, he'll have rid him of some dead weight. If not, the Architect will have saved everyone from having to see Pilgrim's pudgy frame in a Piledriver Wrestling ring ever again; either way, Collier wins. Inside the ring though, it's the Architect who wins once he manages to properly lock in the Blueprint. Pilgrim delays the tap for dramatic effect as he weighs his career against his physical well being, eventually chosing to live and fight another day.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: The Architect, by submission</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="7rS8uzo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7rS8uzo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="OMuDnHg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OMuDnHg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="4LTspFc.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4LTspFc.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Once the ring is clear and Jonah Pilgrim departed for good, out comes Vinny Cruz, the sleazy manager who led QAW's stable of 'Ronin 3' to much success. Diaz has the power to go toe to toe with the opposition and coupled with the ring acumen of McManus makes for some pretty exciting wrestling. Despite a pretty open match though, McManus lacks the physicality to really push his opposition and in a scary display of power, Reaper lifts him up for a powerbomb, assisted by one of Scythe's trademark chokeslams [Think KES' Killer Bomb from NJPW] to end the match.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Scythe & Reaper, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="pmHS2Ce.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pmHS2Ce.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="2FjO0qV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2FjO0qV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Instead of celebrating, Reaper turns to face Scythe as Diaz helps McManus backstage. Patriot approaches this with the confidence of a man who won the first encounter and went on to win the entire Invitational, but Ferrera is not the same man he remembers from January. Indeed, Xavi seems to be a step ahead of his challenger and uses this foresight to maintain control of the match, having studied Patriot's simple-yet-effective wrestling style since they last met. The challenger finds himself on the defensive for most of the first fifteen minutes, before he slowly, excruciatingly begins to claw his way back into the match through sheer determination and pure american grit. Drawn into the match by Patriot's fighting spirit on display, fans cheer him on and Ferrera's confidence turns to fear as he realizes he can't keep Patriot down for the three count, again and again, no matter what he pulls off. Once past the 20 minute mark, Ferrera goes into panic mode and rolls out of the ring to make way for the timekeeper's table. Patriot gives chase, only to get slammed in the face with the title belt, leading to Ferrera's disqualification but no title change.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Masked Patriot, by disqualification</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="IqChfad.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IqChfad.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Show Rating:</span></strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="IqChfad.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IqChfad.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p>

  10. <p>As always, predictions are welcome (thanks smw88).</p><p> </p><p> I'm thinking of stealing a page off The Lloyd's decorated "NOTBPW A Game of Stones (and DeColts)" diary and add a little update after each monthly PPV, starting with the upcoming Hard Times. Given my roster's split into divisions though, running down the stars and champs of each is going to be a mess so I'll probably skip that. Champions and title lineages will be posted after each of the 'big four' PPVs (Ultimate Challenge every March, Starmageddon every June, Back to School every September and End of the World every December) and given the theme/charm of this diary, I'm thinking it would be more interesting to provide a monthly update with news from the rest of the world. What do you think? Would you be interested in something like that and if so, what information would you like to know about?</p>
  11. Raw Power 2019 show card & narrative I left the Delaware Auditorium feeling spent. The show had gone down well, but there was so much to take into consideration as I made my way home. B-Panther had made his debut with a win to build momentum, but his performance was marred by a crushing hook that ended up breaking Kenneth Drebin's jaw. Neither man had any hard feelings towards the other, nor did Panther get any heat with the locker room for it, but it wasn't exactly the best way to kick off his run with Piledriver Wrestling. The injury was minor, but were it greater or had it been done on someone who wasn't a nobody rookie, things would have gone very different. My monsters also won the COTT Tag Team titles and while that may have come as a surprise to fans, those who knew the way COTT worked were not surprised. Thunder & Lightning were a good team and worthy champions to take the belt off the Ring Generals, but Too Hot crossed a line when he switched the belts to Peppin Leon and Shiva. It wasn't just the kayfabe rule (and unwritten honor code) that demanded titles to be won by people from different promotions to maintain the flavor of COTT gold being something larger than a single promotion; Leon and Shiva were barely known in Canada. They weren't workers who could travel around and get defenses under their belt. I was over my bitterness about Smith beating Scythe for the World Heavyweight title, but after the merger with MAW, the founders of the Confederation and with War for Territory gaining momentum, I wanted one of the three titles. Foxxy LaRue refused to drop the gold to Eri Sato and while I wasn't happy about it, I understood her. This however, was my chance. 4C had shot themselves in the foot and this was the perfect opportunity to re-establish the Death Squad and myself as their manager. That of course left the Heartbreak Express with no challengers for the Piledriver Tag Team titles, but I was going to make some calls and rectify that. Besides, we were just months before the Sam Keith Classic, might as well build up a few teams and make it better than last year's rush job. As for our main event scene, things had been set to motion. Logan announced a tag match for two shows ahead and the events of the final match planted the seeds for some long-term things I wanted to do. We were finally established to the point where I didn't have to worry that much about talent raids or the competition. Speaking of which... Son of a... I fired up my phone to check out totalextremewrestling.com in search of verification that we had once again gotten a better rating than RIPW's show did. Which we had, but following tonight's round of shows, SWF's feeder league had now climbed up to being ranked as a "Regional" promotion. Yeah, they were a step ahead in the race but we were still putting on better shows. We were beating them in the Tri State area's "Regional Wars". Hell, we'd finally stop being compared to their Hollywood level production values. This was a blessing in disguise, come to thing of it. We would build a solid foundation. We would grow in the shadow of their arrogance. And when the time is right, we would strike.
  12. War for Territory #16 Piledriver Wrestling Presents War for Territory #16 Saturday, Week 2 April, 2019 Live from the Delaware Auditorium, DE B-Panther, Nate DeMarcus & Oscar Tufnel w Buck Winchester, Kenneth Drebin & "Killer" Carl Bernard (with Sheik Ali Al-Avatar) Time for B-Panther to back up his fiery Wrestle Bowl promo in the ring. As leader of the all-black team of Nate DeMarcus and Oscar Tufnel, B-Panther had the tough job of wrestling in front of a new crowd while balancing the serious competitive demeanor of DeMarcus with Tufnel's carefree disco spirit. Their opponents were an equally ragtag team led by "Cowboy" Buck Winchester but with Drebin and especially Bernard in the team, their trio did pack a serious punch. Unfortunately for the Piledriver School graduate though, B-Panther's punch packed a lil' bit o' dynamite when it hit him square in the jaw, leaving it to hang freakishly for the rest of the match in an obvious injury. Panther didn't seem to notice though, caught up in all the excitement and he went on to continue the beatdown, finishing off the rookie with his Panther Crusher [Double Arm DDT] finisher. Winners: B-Panther, Nate DeMarcus & Oscar Tufnel, by pinfall w Kick City Connection (Winters & Sato) vs Sawyer Sports Services (Daniels & Torres) Former opponents turned allies Claire Winters and Eri Sato have more than just similar styles inside the ring; they seem to have an intrinsic understanding of each other and that leads to them having surprising flow as a team. Daniels and Torres found themselves in much trouble trying to make a stand against the faces and a large part of it seemed to be due to the language barrier, but Torres showed she's on the same page as everyone else in Sawyer Sports Services when she raked the eyes of Sato to create an opening for herself so she could apply the Venus Fly-Trap for the tap out. Winners: Sawyer Sports Services, by submission after Mariana Torres blatantly cheated. w COTT World Tag Team titles match Shiva & Peppin Leon © vs The Death Squad Still making a name for themselves in their native Canada, the COTT World Tag Team champions were met with complete silence from the PDW fans, who were instead in full support of the badass monster heels. The match delivered exactly what fans wanted to see here, with Wolfe and Annihilus tossing the champions around like rag dolls before the Finnish super heavyweight applied the Choke Grip on Leon. Winners: The Death Squad, by submission The Death Squad win the COTT World Tag Team titles. Backstage and surrounded by her clients, Lisa Bowen delivered a promo to hype up herself as she mentioned how she led the Heartbreak Express to tag team gold, Jebediah to becoming the Piledriver US champion and even Jonah Pilgrim at Wrestler Bowl to pick up a rare win. w Piledriver United States title match The Architect vs Jebediah © (with Lisa Bowen) The Architect entered this match with the attitude of a man who was looking to prove a point and he wasn't shy about it, taunting the champion and his manager especially about being "an insult to MAW's legacy" and how he would win the "Mid Atlantic American title". It didn't take long for his act to anger the Amish champion and with his challenger busy playing to the audience, Jebediah attacked. It was all Jeb from there, with the Architect never able to slow down the pace and turn this into a cerebral technical battle until he was hit with the Sundown Splash. Winner: Jebediah, by pinfall Jebediah makes defence number 4 of his Piledriver United States title. "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera cut a promo next, bragging about how he finally proved he's better than Lenny Brown when he beat him at Wrestle Bowl. "Glorious" Logan Diaz walked by and his sight was a chance for the cocky Puerto Rican to point out how he once again did better than Diaz; he's now a two time Piledriver Champion when Logan hasn't held that title yet. Finally getting under the skin of Diaz, the big man told Ferrera that the winner of tonight's main event will be fighting him for the title next, but at War for Territory #17, it'll be the two of them. Ferrera did argue that Diaz hasn't earned a title shot, he's not even in the #1 contender match tonight. While valid, his point didn't phase Diaz, who told the champion to find a teammate and meet him in a tag match instead; he already had someone in mind for himself anyway... Three Way Elimination match Winner gets a shot at the Piledriver Championship Masked Patriot vs Scythe vs Syd Collier Patriot and Scythe have had their issues, but it was the addition of MAW's final champion that really made things interesting. Collier brought an extra body and his own technical prowess, preventing the match from being another fistfight between Patriot and Scythe. Of course, he did retreat at first and let the other two to go at each other's throats, but once he returned to pick his spots against the damaged men, the match really began to find its pace. Taking the easy way out, Collier focused his attacks on the Middleweight winner of the Rip Chord Invitational instead of the massive Scythe. While effective, his tactic took a while to yield any results and in the meantime, Scythe recovered and managed to eliminate Collier after he hit him with a big chokeslam. With Masked Patriot and Scythe now left in the match, things boiled down to a classic good vs evil deal, with the added bonus of Patriot fighting an uphill battle after Collier had worn him down. A classic recipe played to perfection, Scythe did his part as the big powerhouse who beat down on his opponent before Patriot made his inevitable comeback. Just as the momentum seemed to shift... ...Scythe's disciple, Reaper, made his way down to the ring. Patriot was aware (a man Reaper's size is neither fast nor subtle) but exhausted and forced to once again keep an eye out for both opponents. Things looked grim for the fan favorite, until he unexpectedly ducked under a spinning lariat from Reaper, which instead connected with an approaching Scythe. Shocked at accidentaly hitting his ally, Reaper lost focus and ate a big DDT from Patriot, who then dropped the elbow on a fallen Scythe to make the pin and become the new #1 contender for the Piledriver Championship. Winner: Masked Patriot, by pinfall after Reaper accidentally hit Scythe Show rating:
  13. Back to the Future, Monday Week 4 of May 2013 NGW Back to the Future (Weekly TV show) Held on Monday, Week 4 of May 2013 Venue: L'Aquila Universita, L'Aquila, Italy Attendance: 3.564, Ratings: 0.70 (529.980 viewers), Shown on Continental Sports X1 Arlo Costa & Giovanni Bruno vs The Johanssons (with Signe Lytjohan) The recently reunited Johansson brothers got in the ring with local talents Arlo Costa and Giovanni Bruno for the opener, with Signe Lytjohan leading the Norwegian big men once again. Bruno is an EWA developmental talent but Costa was making a one-night appearance as a nod to Italian fans who have known him for years as "Mr. Evilness" in companies such as EWCW and UCR, where he would regularly feud with "Captain Hero" Stig Svensson. The idea here was to start with two "hometown heroes" in the ring while teaming rookie Bruno with a veteran, but both Italian men were really, really off. It didn't quite take away from the match quality since it was a short and absolutely dominant performance by the Johanssons, but Costa and Bruno were lucky to leave the ring standing given their sloppiness on display for a full ten minutes before Bam Bam hit Costa with the Northern Lights Double Bomb for the pin. Winners: The Johanssons, by pinfall Moving on to more exciting stuff, Champagne Lover hosted another episode of Lover's Lounge with guests John Silver and Leon Harrison. The founders of NGW and now #1 contenders for the NGW Cruiserweight Tag Team titles held their own on the mic next to the charismatic Mexican, who still was the star here as he picked on his guests for becoming contenders thanks to the interference of Shiro Akuma during their match against Team Fly. Marcello Ricci vs Emerald Angel Another Italian talent and EWA wrestler in action next, the charismatic Cruiserweight Marcello Ricci went to battle against Emerald Angel. Both men had a good showing, with Ricci adding some nice variety to Angel's flashy aerial offense. Despite limited air time, both men had the moves and charisma to get the fans into the match and Ricci even picked up the unlikely win when he used Angel's risky style against him by playing possum to goad him in and then roll him up for the pin. Winner: Marcello Ricci, by pinfall after a quick roll up Backstage, Hardcore Hernandez was once again being bitter about his cheap title loss to Shiro Akuma when Team Fly walked into the scene. Christopher Lister told Hernandez he's not the only one who's got issues with the masked champion, a nod to Akuma's betrayal upon leaving the League of Heroes and how he's cost its members several matches, especially Team Fly, Matravers chipped in, saying Akuma cost them a shot at gold and now they're not scheduled to wrestle at Hard Times but he has a suggestion. Hernandez versus Lister versus Matravers, for a chance to fight Akuma! Speak of the (White) Devil, Akuma was Viper McKenna's guest in the following segment. In a live episode of Viper's Moshpit, Akuma was questioned about his actions and any comments on the Triple Threat match just arranged for Hard Times, but the NGW Cruiserweight champion only cryptically responded that he will "be watching". Stig Svensson & Paolo Gandalfini vs Konrad Mäkinen & Wade Orson More Italian wrestlers for the audience to cheer as Paolo Gandalfini teamed with beloved veteran Stig Svensson to fight the pairing of blue chipper prospects Mäkinen and Orson. Gandalfini started the match in control of Mäkinen, who sold every move like it killed him before desperately tagging in Orson. Matching the Italian in power but posessing more experience, Orson turned things around forcing the retreat and a tag to Svensson for an interesting rest of the match as NGW's past and future traded holds before Orson hit his Bounce Back finisher for the pin. Winners: Konrad Mäkinen & Wade Orson, by pinfall Marat Khoklov vs Beast Bantom Beast Bantom is one of the biggest, baddest, most muscular men on the NGW roster but even he can't match up to the Russian giant that is Marat Khoklov. This match had little to do with actual wrestling, it was two big, tough men looking to beat each other senseless as they brought their hardest hits to the fight. Bantom has been very vocal in the past about wanting a challenge and not squash matches against people smaller than him, which is exactly what he got in the Moscow Mauler. He may have bitten off more than he could chew though and in a spectacular finish to their match, former powerlifter Khoklov lifted the 320 pound Bantom up for a truly earth shaking Russian Legend Powerbomb. Winner: Marat Khoklov, by pinfall Quick cut backstage and the self-proclaimed "Fresh Prince of Belarus" Sergei Kalashnov was trying to strike up a conversation with fellow Belarussian Zofia Jankovic. Clash of personalities aside, the moment was also interesting due to Jankovic being a member of the Czars; Kalashnov seemed to refuse when the group attempted to pressgang him into joining, but Jankovic wasn't around when they first approached him... Edward Cornell & Wael Hossam Koller & Eriksson (with Viper McKenna) The Gentleman & The Pitbull The Ivanoffs A four team free for all was the main event for NGW's go-home show before Hard Times and all four teams involved brought their A game to the fight. It didn't take long for things to devolve into an all out brawl, with Frye and Hossam trading holds in the ring as they sought to slap on the Royal Armbar and Camel Clutch, respectively. In the chaos, Landon Mallory made his way down to the ring to help his Outcasts buddies as Koller & Eriksson traded blows with the Ivanoffs. His assist was short-lived though, as he was shut down by a vodka bottle smashing on his head from behind, Dovydas Vidmar's trademark attack. Robert Howard joined the brawl and attacked Vidmar, the two men trying to slam each other onto the shattered glass. Already spent by the match, Howard found himself on the losing end until Lister and Matravers appeared to pull Vidmar away. With referee Garry Garret having lost control and TV time running out, he called for the bell and threw the match, the feed fading out as everyone fought everyone in and around the ring. Winners: No Contest Show Rating:
  14. United States Championship "The Puerto Rican Wrestling Machine" Xavi Ferrera versus "The Canadian Wrestling Machine" David Stone © Difficult pick. Stone has been booked ultra strong and could win to retain here, but Xavi's one of the few people who could beat him, plus Xavi's momentum will stall if he fails here. Maybe the torch is passed here and Stone moves on to bigger things. Jaime Quine versus Brooke Tyler Another hard pick. Brooke's been featured a lot, booked strong and her physical style fits CWL better than Quine's, plus CWL seems to have a thing for second generation talent "Bulldozer" Brandon Smith versus Andrew Harper w/ Lisa Bowen Smith has more upside by far, unless he's into hard decline Keiths def. 16. I was thinking Peña's render could be used for a young Luis Sr. in some CVerse97 game, but now I'm also seeing it could work as a Mexican take of the Interpid Ian (DeColt?) Identity character. Back on teams, I know Historian is pretty high on the German Machine so they'll do ok, myself I'm pretty stoked to see the Northern Lights in a CWL ring.
  17. Gino Montero Luis Montero Jr. Luis Montero Sr. Leon Pena, about to be revealed as an illegitimate Montero child. I'M JUST SAYING #calledit
  18. No no, Robert Howard is an original, game-generated worker, not a regen. I've spotted Lamprecht's regen as a German worker, no clue as to a Dick the Devastator regen. What really puzzles me is how come the Golden Dojo, GCG's school, trained such a guy. It doesn't fit their profile and in narrative terms, BBW had already folded while WEXXV never existed. Thanks for the compliments. I'm trying to use developmental talent to avoid burning up big matchups and to keep things fresh for my audience on that other forum who've seen most already. It gives them experience and exposure while giving my main guys people to beat so they can stay hot for the PPV bouts.
  19. If someone on my roster deserves to beat Funakoshi... it's Torii but for some reason he has terrible chemistry with every Main Eventer and Upper Midcarder Between that and Blast Ikoma doing terrible in singles matches, I had to pull the trigger on Yoshi Taku before he wasted too many shots. Smith's singles success seemed to have caused a rift with on-and-off teammate Harker, which at times led to some arguing that allowed Kiyotaka and Katou to seize the initiative Eventually, Gidayu Katou interrupted an American Demolition Mk. II argument with a Lariat that knocked Animal Harker out of the ring, while Kiyotaka caught Smith in the middle of the ring with his dreaded Kimura. Smith fought off for as long as he could, but with nowhere to go and not much left in the tank, he eventually tapped out, thus granting Kiyotaka the right to challenge him for the BCG National title down the road.</p><p> <strong>In a bout that had superb wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Double K defeated American Demolition Mk.II in 13:48 when Kiyotaka defeated Bulldozer Brandon Smith by submission with a Kimura.</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="sma3Die.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sma3Die.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="rYebwAf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rYebwAf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="SK5hp7P.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SK5hp7P.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="SK5hp7P.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SK5hp7P.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="4z5J7B2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4z5J7B2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="HHP9byq.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HHP9byq.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="25UZG0h.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/25UZG0h.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="VfnB77X.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/VfnB77X.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Ffwz2MA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ffwz2MA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> BCG World Tag Team titles match</strong></p><p><strong> Partnership of Pain © vs Threepwood & Goto</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Former stablemates in Coast to Coast, the two teams clashed yet again over the BCG World Tag Team titles after the champions won the first match at The Lion Hunts. Threepwood too was on point, getting the tag when a rival was already downed by Goto so he could jump on top and slap a submission hold. Pressure was on the champion to deliver against the seasoned veteran who was no stranger to big matches. Toshi Taku's strikes were clinical, delivering maximum force to his opponent while exerting minimum stamina on himself. No stranger to strong style matches himself either, Miyake met the old timer blow for blow, eventually hitting him in the head with a Knock Out Kick for the pin. Once the match was over, Toshinobu Taku bowed towards all four sides of the ring, a final farewell to the fans that marked this as his final match with Black Canvas Grappling.</p><p> <strong>In a good match, Motoyuki Miyake defeated Toshinobu Taku in 9:49 by pinfall with a Knock Out Kick.</strong></p><p><strong> Motoyuki Miyake makes defence number 3 of his BCG Challengers Series title.</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="sma3Die.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sma3Die.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="rYebwAf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rYebwAf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="sz24Eba.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sz24Eba.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="8jfbhLn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8jfbhLn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="25UZG0h.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/25UZG0h.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="5bss42b.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5bss42b.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> BCG World Heavyweight title match</strong></p><p><strong> Funakoshi © vs Yoshinaka Taku</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> The main event had a lot of backstory to it before the wrestlers even came out. Funakoshi had won the title and defended it for more than a year in a series of great matches against all comers. Yoshinaka Taku had slowly transitioned into being a singles wrestler away from the shadow of his father, who just had his final match moments ago. The two men had clashed for the first time exactly one year ago, with Taku earning the champion's respect despite failing to beat him. Yoshi had trained hard to find his way back into the spotlight. He had skipped the Yoshifusa Maeda Grand Prix because he and father Toshi won TagMania 4. He had won the Lionheart tournament and now he needed a miracle.</p><p> </p><p> This was a textbook puroresu match. The wrestlers started by challenging each other to deliver their hardest strike, then took turns hitting the ropes trying to tackle each other. Eventually they grappled and traded holds back and forth. Funakoshi hit a huge suplex and kept the pressure on his challenger, mounting the fallen Taku immediately to keep him on the mat. Advantage lied with the champion, but Yoshi Taku took a chance and pulled off a headbutt that did as much damage to himself as it did to the champion. Still, the desperate move created some much needed separation that allowed the challenger to get back on his feet and chop Funakoshi's chest so hard the shots echoed across the Osaka Athletic Stadium. The attempt at a Full Nelson Bomb was reversed into a Butterfly Backbreaker, but Funakoshi hadn't applied the hold properly and Taku managed to escape just in time to avoid it. Grunting, Funakoshi tried to take of Taku's head with a short range lariat but the challenger ducked under it to slip behind the champ and lock in the Full Nelson. Mustering all his courage, Taku pulled and dropped Funakoshi with his finisher, himself falling on top for the dramatic three count. Three slaps later, the match was over, Yoshi Taku was champion and the best match ever produced by Black Canvas Grappling to date was over. Funakoshi bowed in recognition of the new champ's prowess, referee Hiroyuki Ueda hadned the BCG World Heavyweight title and Toshinobu Tau hit the ring to embrace his son and celebrate his victory, a crowning moment and true changing of the guard on the same night that he said his final goodbye.</p><p> <strong>In a bout that had superb wrestling and good heat, Yoshinaka Taku defeated Funakoshi in 25:51 by pinfall with a Full Nelson Bomb.</strong></p><p><strong> Yoshinaka Taku wins the BCG World title.</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="OMqWx1U.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OMqWx1U.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Show Rating:</span></strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="sma3Die.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sma3Die.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p>

Though stablemates, the two men seem to have no animosity towards each other. Instead, as is the thing with the Real Deal, they're all about in-ring performance and being the better wrestler. Things are off to a slow start with Hossam taking the rookie down and working on him with various holds targeting the back in order to soften him up for the Camel Clutch. The few times Orson is able to force a rope break, he can only get a little bit of offense in before Hossam masterfully grabs a limb and reverses to slam him back down on the mat and begin the process anew. This goes on for more than fifteen minutes, an escalating crescendo that ends when Orson somehow manages to hit the Bounce Back out of nowhere, literally bouncing back into the contest and pinning Hossam for a big win.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Wade Orson, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="sma3Die.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sma3Die.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Show Rating:</span></strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="sma3Die.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sma3Die.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p>
  22. <p>War for Territory #16 card and narrative</p><p> </p><p> At last, we were really hitting our grove. When totalextremewrestling.com published their "Regional War" results, we had the top spot in both the South East and Tri State areas, defeating TITAN Factory/QAW and RIPW/NYCW respectively. We were a few steps away from classifying as a true 'Regional' promotion, a ranking that would hopefully increase attendances and finally stop everyone from comparing our Production Values to the glitz and glam of SWF-financed RIPW.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="jW5DSzO.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/jW5DSzO.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> I was sad to take the belt of Lenny so soon, but NYCW had offered him a contract and I was determined to stick to our mission statement of cutting folks loose once they landed a proper deal with any promotion larger than us. Beside, Vessey's group were our COTT allies and with Piledriver Wrestling about to rise up in the rankings, he would need the firepower if he was to survive against RIPW. At least I'd built up Xavi to be his title contender when Lenny made his decision. He didn't want to go out like a fluke champion though, so I booked the main event in his favor just so he'd agree to drop the belt. I could have just gone ahead anyway, he was leaving, but I didn't want to push things. Who knows, maybe our paths would cross again in the future and I'd hate to have bad blood between us. Lenny was money, the Eisens were dumb to let him go. Same with Masked Patriot. And Scythe. And Spade. And Primus. The list could go on forever.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="HFJn08h.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HFJn08h.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cfAEiGT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cfAEiGT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="nXGgqIU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/nXGgqIU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> The newcomers were fitting in nicely too. It may have something to do with his high flying protege, but Lee finally lifted the ban on hiring luchadors and I wasn't shy about taking advantage of it. Our product still didn't favor high flyers much, but I thought Perez added some variety to a division full of brawlers, strikers and martial artists. Torres was a different story, she was a true Technician and she too helped round up Sawyer's group. She was out of a job with a baby to raise and a point to prove so I gave her a chance. Fans hadn't warmed up to her yet, but that would hopefully come with time. As for E-Soteric, I took a risk having him pull off a Black Panther gimmick as a social justice and equality babyface warrior, but apparently his time with Grimm's group in SoCal alongside his real life experiences gave him all the ammunition he needed to make it work. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46150" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Piledriver Wrestling Presents</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">War for Territory #16</span></strong></p><p><strong> Saturday, Week 2 April, 2019</strong></p><p><strong> Live from the Delaware Auditorium, DE</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Main Event</strong></p><p><strong> Three Way Elimination match</strong></p><p><strong> Winner gets a shot at the Piledriver Championship</strong></p><p> Masked Patriot vs Scythe vs Syd Collier</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Co-Main Event</strong></p><p><strong> Piledriver United States title match</strong></p><p> The Architect vs Jebediah ©</p><p> </p><p> <strong>COTT World Tag Team titles match</strong></p><p> Shiva & Peppin Leon © vs The Death Squad</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Women's Tag Team match</strong></p><p> Kick City Connection (Winters & Sato) vs Sawyer Sports Services (Daniels & Torres)</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Opening Six Man Tag match</strong></p><p> B-Panther, Nate DeMarcus & Oscar Tufnel vs Buck Winchester, "Killer" Carl Bernard & Kenneth Drebin</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Theheel" data-cite="Theheel" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46150" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Much in the same way Historian turned me into a fan of Riley McManus, you have turned me into an Xavi fan. Her ability to transition smoothly between excruciation submission holds is a great addition to Daniels' brawling and Trigg's raw power, allowing the heels to give their opponents a hard time. Winters and Sato yet again showcase their natural connection with a series of stereo kicks, but Torres finds a way to shut them down and take them to the mat. It's even worse with Perez, who finds herself denied of her moveset once down to the mat. Well versed in taking out high flying luchadoras, Torres wraps Perez in an excruciating move that looks like a combination between a Crippler Crossface and a Calf Crusher. Even when Perez manages to barely grab the ropes, Torres refuses to let go.
