  1. Possibly tied to respect levels. Anyway, Emma is definitely someone who benefits from a mentor, but you've got to work quick. Since you can't count on USPW cutting their likely mentor benefits, the best option is to get Suzanne Brazzle on the roster right away, as she's the only available worker at the start of the game (to my knowledge) who will take on random proteges. (Technically, Steffi Chee and J-Ro take on proteges, but I've only seen them adopt Selina Svelte and Simony Sentinel, respectively).

She's used to integrated promotions, and she's got a bit of an edgy vibe, what with her history.</p>
  4. <p>Well, from my experience, the only NOTBPW talents I absolutely make it a point to hire if they become available are Lauren Easter and Amber Allen, as they're both good enough to get over really quickly just from work rate.</p><p> </p><p>

With USPW, depending on Farrah's owner goals, half of the Women's division might be off limits anyway. Gorgon, Raven, and Melody aren't young. Kass and Missy rarely get cut, or at least it hasn't happened to often when I'm playing. The first 3 I mentioned are definite hires if I can swing it, because all of them take on proteges.</p>

For instance, using C-Verse companies as an example, I would NOT try it with ACPW, but QAW? Easily doable if you're careful with expenses.</p>

Q-TV only makes deals with companies based in that area.</p>
  9. I've gotten back into the T-Verse, playing numerous feds (since I've had the past week and a half off of work with a two days left to go) and POW is one of the companies I've played with.

    1) Shortlist every graduate of The Lab. Most have Good comedy performances, and are usually decent workers besides.

    2) Grab Robyn Hood if she comes out of hiatus and you don't have an age limit owner goal. She's a solid hand in the ring, which is something you have in short supply at the start.

    3) Keep an eye out for an extra referee. Tiny Jackson accepts work from other promotions, so you'll need to either carefully monitor what nights other companies schedule their shows for, keep a back-up on the roster, or just hire local.

    4) Locker room leaders- you don't have any. There are several choices, though I like Captain Codd. You can use him as a manager, an authority figure, or in the broadcast booth. Plus, he's a grizzled old sea captain who owns a chain of fish restaurants. That fits right in with POW.

    5) Several workers start out not suited to their gimmicks, including Kay Pasa, the entire 57th Airborne stable, and Kal Patel. This is a blessing, though, because some of these folks are better on the other side of the face/ heel spectrum. For instance, your tag division is a bit lacking, so reuniting Meet the Patels is not a bad idea.

General guidelines for hiring- Comedy is king. So, good Comedy performance and Charisma are important. After that, grab a few "ring generals"- good basics and psychology and other stats. You've got a good start with guys like Kay Pasa and Nacho Inferno, but you'll notice a huge drop off really quick.

After that, just pick people who are gimmicky as heck. I mentioned Robyn Hood (she's a wrestler archer!), so grab Kat, Julie Justice, Nytro, The Conductor- basically, ask yourself "Would these people fit into a 90s WWF midcard?" If the answer is yes, sign them.

As for inspiration, Chikara, Kaiju Big Battel, DDT, Party World Wrasslin, and Olde Wrestling, for starters, can all serve as inspiration.

  10. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="smmccallum" data-cite="smmccallum" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>if a child company is big enough will they sign their own Tv and PPV deals or can I only get them on tv through my own network?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> They can, but they'll only do the minimum. For instance, a Regional company will only sign deals for events, and a Cult company will only do events and one weekly show, even though at Cult you can have up to two weekly shows.</p>
  11. Not familiar with Southern Belle. She's not a negative influence, is she? I usually filter by that.

Geena CAN be good, but there's a very good chance she'll be in Time Decline, April has a similar problem, but her stats, particularly psychology, are much better.

Another decent choice, provided she doesn't retire before you get to her, is Eve Grunge.

And you're absolutely right about Dreamer & Celeste. Another young worker with lots of upside? Joanna Silver. God bless her little pirate stripper heart!

  12. <p>I'm surprised to hear that about JMB, as I've always had good luck with her in QAW. Admittedly, I try to hire her early in, and her pop is slightly hire than most of the roster at the start, so that probably plays a part.</p><p> </p><p>

As for the Uprising, them being Midcard and Main Event isn't too big a deal, if you keep them focused on the tag division, what with the Floating tag belts.</p><p> </p><p>

The other thing about them is they can get mentors. With Selina, I've only ever seen Steffi Chee take her on. With Talia, a lot of the people who will mentor Lily Snyder and Emma May are also apt to take her on as a protege. So, people like Suzanne Brazzle, Gorgon, Melody, and Raven Nightfall are good choices to look at (depending on the owner goals; Farrah likes to give age limits, sometimes as low as 35).</p>

  13. <p>I started a new game, and once again tried to get a Women's Division off the ground. This time, I hired some of the ladies who are unemployed- Connie Morris, Eve Grunge, April Appleseed, Emma Bitch, and others. And let me tell you, even with Risque dropped down to Medium, Eye Candy Matches are a life saver. Normally, a match between Tamara McFly and Poison Ivy with their current pops? 30s-40s match rating. You add mud or foam to that? Suddenly they're pulling in 70s and 80s. Their match ratings are almost as good as my main events! That's wild.</p><p> </p><p>

Also, I set most of them up to be managers of popular wrestlers, and Emma Bitch had Good Chemistry with The Crippler. Of course, now I'm imagining the kind of shenanigans that could arise when I finally turn him back to face and resume his previous gimmick.</p><p> </p><p>

Also, Jana Marie Bowen and Jimmy Hernandez started dating. That makes me happier than it probably should.</p>

I'm guessing there is no way I can change this, short of ending my relationship as parent company of one of them, taking them over, and hoping they agree to end the negative relationship?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I've noticed that owners who are friends are less likely to start or continue hostilities. Not sure if this is how it works, but you could always edit the relationship and see what happens.</p>
