"From the World Wrestling Federation... it's Tuesday Night Titans! With your host, Vince McMahon! This is Lord Alfred Hayes inviting you to join Vince and his guest, 'Macho Man' Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth! And now, here's your host... Vince McMahon!"

McMahon: Good evening wrestling fans and welcome to another edition of Tuesday Night Titans! I'm Vince McMahon and alongside me as always is Lord Alfred Hayes and, Lord Alfred, we've got a lot to recap from this past Friday's Wrestling Challenge. The card for Wrestlemania at Madison Square Garden is slowly starting to come together. We've got our first match seemingly set as Tito Santana has laid down the challenge to the WWF Intercontinental Champion - Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine - for the Intercontinental Championship.

Hayes: Valentine previously won the championship from Santana, and Tito's finally looking to retake his position as the Intercontinental Champion. It's going to be a battle of the Figure-Four Leglocks!

McMahon: That's right, and also in a major development, has 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper officially made himself out to be the #1 contender for Hulk Hogan's WWF World Heavyweight Championship? It's sure looking to be that way.

Hayes: It's clear Piper's had his eyes on the gold, yet, unfortunately, I think our favorite yellow-and-red blond-haired champion's a bit too oblivious to notice... surprise, surprise...

McMahon: Surely we haven't seen the last of the conflict between these two. Speaking of the conflict, we did air some backstage footage from Saturday Night's Main Event of Hulk Hogan arriving on the scene of his friend, Mr. T, being loaded into an ambulance after a brutal attack by Piper on Piper's Pit. Reason for bringing that up is we do have a medical update for you on Mr. T - and that being he has been discharged from the hospital and has returned to Los Angeles to rest. Speaking of L.A., that colorful land of charismatic excess, our guest tonight would fit right in at home there. Please welcome to the program WWF newcomers the 'Macho Man' Randy Savage and his lovely manager, Miss Elizabeth.

Savage poses for the small studio audience in attendance while adorned with a purple-and-yellow sparkling robe - Miss Elizabeth just in tow behind him.

McMahon: Mr. Savage, Miss Elizabeth, welcome to the program. We saw you in action last week on All-Star Wrestling in a victorious debut against Steve Lombardi; but this week you're in action against a more famous foe, Nikolai Volkoff. Your thoughts heading into the match?

Savage: Nik-olai Volkoff, yeah! You know they say The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff form a tag team, an axis of dirty evil, yeah. But, the Macho Man Randy Savage is here to cleanse the WWF of this evil, yeah! [savage pulls out a bar of soap]

McMahon: You... you have a bar of soap?

Savage: The Macho Man is here to clean up and show that he is the most dominant force in professional wrestling. Steve Lombardi, Nikolai Volkoff, The Iron Sheik, Kon-stan-tin Cher-nen-ko, yeah The Macho Man is here to go through you and go through all who stand in his way, yeah. The wheels on this bus are just getting going and you better have the exact change to pay the fare or you just might get run over, yeah! [Savage then pulls out and drops a small sack of coins.]

McMahon: I... I don't even know what's going on here...

Hayes: Well, who's your beautiful friend here? C'mon, Miss Elizabeth, have anything to say?

Savage: Nobody talks to Miss Elizabeth without talking to me, your highness! You have something to say to Liz, you have something to say to me. The Macho Man knows your sort, Lord Alfred, you dirty old man. Avert your gaze only to me, yeah, as this spaceship is about to blast off towards the top of the mountain in the World Wrestling Federation, yeah! Blast off is imminent, buckle up for the ride! Yeah!

McMahon: ...you didn't bring a build your own rocket kit?

    Savage: No more questions!

McMahon: 6,000 plus have packed themselves into the Binghamton Events Center this week in Binghamton, New York as we welcome you to another edition of WWF Wrestling Challenge! I'm Vince McMahon - as always joined by my broadcast partners Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse 'The Body' Ventura - and we've got a great program in store for you tonight, folks. Tonight, we see the return of Tito Santana to in-ring action!

Monsoon: A tremendous tag-team match will serve as our main event tonight with Santana and his friend, Junkyard Dog, taking on 'Dr. D' David Schultz and the WWF Intercontinental Champion, Greg Valentine.

McMahon: Not only that, but there's plenty of fallout to be had tonight as this past Saturday, the World Wrestling Federation was in Philadelphia for Saturday Night's Main Event - and what an event it was.

Ventura: Excuse me, is my input valued on this program or what?

McMahon: Jesse, do you have anything to add?

    Ventura: No, not really.

    Monsoon: Thank goodness for that.

McMahon: Well, it's the talk of the entertainment world. This past Saturday, 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper invited Mr. T - star of The A-Team - to Philadelphia for an edition of 'Piper's Pit.' What occurred in Philadelphia is perhaps one of the most heinous acts I've personally ever seen as a broadcaster. During his interview with Mr. T, Piper smashed a glass into the eye of Mr. T - nearly blinding the television star. We've uncovered footage of WWF World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan's immediate reaction to the incident and we will broadcast the footage later in tonight's program. Piper himself will be in action later on tonight.

Monsoon: Don't look now, but I think here comes more of our fallout from Saturday...

Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan smugly makes his way down to the ring flanked by the members of his Family with Paul Orndorff already in his ring gear. Still carrying that large briefcase with $50,000 inside, Heenan teased the Binghamton crowd by pretending to nearly hand it over to some ringside fans, but quickly pulled it back. Big John Studd and Ken Patera held the ropes open for their manager as Heenan grabbed a microphone and entered the ring.

Heenan: A lovely reception as always, Binghamton! Ah, who cares, no one ever cared for what Binghamton, New York ever thought. Now, pipe down, the man with the $50,000 briefcase is talking here. Saturday Night's Main Event, what a night! Finally, finally, The Heenan Family did what I told you was possible all along! We brought Andre the Giant to his knees and left him broken in the center of the ring. Oh, have you heard? Andre the Giant is not here tonight thanks to the genius managerial skills of yours truly and thanks to Big John Studd and Ken Patera right here. Your hero? On the sidelines... yet is it out of injury... or out of embarrassment? Perhaps it's fear. Because, let me guarantee you something Andre, step into this ring again and The Heenan Family will demolish you once more. Now then, John? Ken? How about you both take the night off and treat yourself to something nice. 'Mr. Wonderful' here's got a match to win.

    RATING: 76

Monsoon: Arrogant as ever that Bobby Heenan.

Ventura: Oh, please. He did us all a favor by removing that overgrown lug from our sights. Good riddance!

McMahon: Well, ladies and gentlemen, we can indeed confirm that Andre the Giant is not in the building tonight. But, stick around after the commercial break and we'll have 'Mr. Wonderful' Paul Orndorff in action against 'The Polish Hammer' Ivan Putski next!

    DRB0UBa.jpg?1sTE436G.pngglcV1OC.jpg?1w/ZxIuXtI.jpg?1

Putski was able to get most of his offense early, but 'Mr. Wonderful' was quick to overpower the Polish superstar with his powerful arsenal. Heenan's 'expertise' wasn't particularly needed on the outside in this one as Orndorff was able to get the job done on his own and put Putski away with a Piledriver just after the six-minute mark.

Paul Orndorff def. Ivan Putski in 6:35 by pinfall with a Piledriver.

    RATING: 67

    Ventura: See you later, Putzki.

Monsoon: Do you have to be so crass?

Ventura: What? I'm pronouncing it correctly!

McMahon: An impressive victory for 'Mr. Wonderful' Paul Orndorff tonight on Wrestling Challenge. Well, folks, as stated at the top of the show tonight, we have exclusive footage from backstage at Saturday Night's Main Event of Hulk Hogan shortly after the attack on his friend, Mr. T. We have that footage for you now.

    </div>

    <div style="padding: 5px; border: 5px solid #000000; margin:0px;background: #ffffff; max-width:80%;" ;"="">

    CTSuXhu.jpg?126h3v5W.jpg?1

The video opens with a frantic shot of Mr. T's entourage and various backstage WWF officials crowding around Mr. T as an ambulance with open doors awaits the star. The doors quickly shut on the vehicle as the crowd gathered backstage shouts at the driver to get out of there as quick as it can. Shortly after the ambulance peels out, Hulk Hogan frantically runs onto the scene as Gene Okerlund, who was standing by the frenzy backstage, approaches the world champ.

Hogan: T! T! I knew it was a trap, brother. I tried telling him, Mean Gene! I tried! I knew Piper was up to no good inviting Mr. T to Philadelphia tonight, but, Mr. T's a man of the people and his heart just wouldn't let him stay away and disappoint the 18,000 folks here tonight, brother. Did they say how he was? How bad is he hurt, Mean Gene?

Okerlund: From what we've gathered, his injuries don't appear to be as serious as initially thought and he's being taken to a local hospital just for monitoring.

Hogan: That's a relief, brother. But, I'm not going to lie, Mean Gene, this shakes up the Hulkster, brother. I know I've got a lot on the line with Paul Orndorff here in a little bit, but this hurts me bad. You come for Hulkamania and all of Hulk Hogan's friends, you're in for trouble. Roddy Piper wants to attack Hulk Hogan's friends? Well, there's one thing I can guarantee Roddy Piper, brother. Hulkamania is on a warpath to destroy you.

Hogan quickly vacates the backstage area and heads towards the ring as Paul Orndorff's entrance music is faintly heard in the background.

Flashing forward to the present, Mean Gene Okerlund is standing by in the usual interview area backstage with 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper.

Okerlund: My guest at this time is one 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper. Roddy, you were the perpetrator of a vicious assault-

Piper: Whoa, whoa, whoa, Mean Gene. "Vicious assault?" Don't be one for hyper- hyper- uh, whatchamacallit?

    Okerlund: Hyperbole?

Piper: Yeah, that. Look, the whole world was watching yours truly thinking 'Oh my God! What a terrible person! How could he do that to Mr. T!?' Look, somebody kicks some dirt on your feet, you get him back. Throw some dirt in your eye? Throw some right back. I threw what Mr. T threw at me right back in his face. What's that saying? "Don't dish it out if you can't take it?" Well, Mr. T clearly couldn't take it. To be the best in this sport, you've got to be tough and you've got to stand up for yourself whenever anyone throws some garbage your way. Guys like Mr. T and Hulk Hogan? Those Hollywood types? They're frauds. Look at Mr. T, he wilted like a flower when I pushed back against him.

Okerlund: You did smash a glass against his eye.

Piper: You think I haven't ever had worse? That's nothing. Nothing! You want to run with the wolves, you have to run. Eat or be eaten. Guys like me deserve every single small award that's ever been thrown at us because we had to fight to get it. I fought on the streets as a kid and I'll fight like hell in the WWF to prove I'm the best... and I'm still going to do just that. Now then, got to run Gene-o! Got a match to warm up for.

Piper gives a smile and a friendly pat to Okerlund's shoulder as he heads out towards the ring.

    RATING: 83

McMahon: Quite the strong statement from 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper about his actions this past Saturday.

Monsoon: He nearly blinded a man and tried spinning it into a yarn about a rough upbringing? Is the man a sociopath?

Ventura: Look, Monsoon, I get it. The man had a rough childhood and had to scrap his way to becoming something.

Monsoon: You get it? You can relate to that?

Ventura: I didn't say I could relate to it. But, I can understand it.

McMahon: Well, whatever you think about him, Roddy Piper is in action next on Wrestling Challenge!

    Tony Atlas vs. Roddy Piper

    2VvgIXa.jpg?1sTE436G.pngW6040tq.jpg?1

Piper showcased some of that brawling ability he alluded to in his interview just now, but not all of his offense was able to get through to the muscular Atlas. Atlas was able to shrug off Piper's attacks and immediately jump back on the attack, prompting Piper to drop to the outside to regroup at times. The jeers of the fans at ringside over Piper's ability to overpower Atlas visibly got on his nerves, but he maintained his composure well enough to prevent himself from getting in their faces.

After entering the ring, Piper had to endure some more offense by Atlas and was stunned for a bit by a headbutt, but he was able to gain his senses long enough to evade a charging running shoulder block and take the momentum back. Several bulldogs in a row followed by a running knee softened Atlas up long enough for Piper to lock in a Sleeper Hold and submit the bodybulding champion.

Roddy Piper def. Tony Atlas in 10:52 by submission with a Sleeper Hold.

    RATING: 63

Ventura: See? There's that tenacity Piper was talking about.

McMahon: An impressive victory for Roddy Piper against a formidable foe in the powerful Tony Atlas. Up next, we have the in-ring return of Tito Santana in store for you folks, but first, to backstage with Gene Okerlund!

The camera cuts right back to the backstage interview area with Gene Okerlund standing in between the team of Tito Santana and Junkyard Dog.

Okerlund: My guests at this time are one side of tonight's main event - the team of Tito Santana and Junkyard Dog. Tito, tonight marks your first match in the WWF in four months after being sidelined with a terrible leg injury. Are you up to the challenge?

Santana: Gene, it's a great day. I feel completely healed up and I am ready to go. I've got Junkyard Dog by my side and we're going to take it to both Dr. D and Greg Valentine. For four long months I sat at home watching Valentine parade himself around as the WWF Intercontinental Champion and it motivated me, Gene. Each day he presented himself to the great fans of the WWF as a great Intercontinental Champion motivated me that much more to return to the WWF and get back into fighting shape. Greg Valentine, you treat these fans with disrespect and you treat that championship with disrespect, and that rubs me the wrong way.

Okerlund: Tito Santana, are you officially throwing the gauntlet down and saying you're ready to challenge for the Intercontinental Championship?

Santana: I'm ready to say it here and now. Greg Valentine! You better bring your best tonight, because you're going to need it to stop me. And come Wrestlemania next month, I'm ready to take you on and reclaim that WWF Intercontinental Championship! Greg Valentine, ¿Crees que puedes resistir el poder de Tito Santana? Piensa otra vez. Prepárate, porque no sabes ni la mitad de la batalla que se avecina. Arriba!

    RATING: 64

McMahon: Well, you've heard it here first, folks! Tito Santana is officially making the challenge for the Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania! He'll be in action next, right after the commercial break!

Tito Santana and Junkyard Dog vs. Greg Valentine and David Schultz

    0Voq4CU.jpg?1bPhQeOE.jpg?1sTE436G.png1Z1N1VT.jpg?1QKvOPr2.jpg?1

Valentine made sure Schultz started the match as 'Dr. D' didn't back down from the challenge of both Santana and JYD. 'Dr. D' was able to hold his own for a several minutes against both of his opponents, but when it came to go for a tag to Valentine, Valentine didn't extend an arm to get in the ring. Realizing he'd have to go it alone for a bit, Schultz found a burst of energy to down JYD for a bit as he tapped Valentine on the shoulder and hopped out of the ring, forcing Valentine to enter as the legal man.

The Intercontinental Champion's hesitancy proved to be questionable as he once again managed to overpower Junkyard Dog and keep him grounded and away from his corner. 'The Hammer' would break various submissions on JYD to shout some taunts towards Santana - prompting the Texan to nearly enter the ring and interfere on multiple occasions. An attempt at a piledriver was thwarted by JYD as a running shoulder tackle led to the hot tag. Santana cleared Valentine from the ring and immediately pursued him to the outside. A dropkick on the outside launched Valentine into the steel guardrail, but just before Santana could inflict more damage, Schultz was quick on the scene with a double axe handle over the back of the head.

Junkyard Dog tried to interfere on his partner's behalf, but Schultz was quick to see of the threat. Valentine slowly got to his feet as both men threw Santana in the ring and continued the beatdown on him. Working tags against each other, Schultz ended up as the legal man as Valentine continued to work on JYD on the outside. Santana - powered by the fans - was able to summon up enough strength to counter a Schultz charge with a dropkick that launched him across the ring. One Flying Forearm Smash later, Santana locked in a Figure-Four Leglock that prompted Valentine to try entering the ring, but he was prevented to do so by JYD hanging on to a leg. Agonizing moments passed for Dr. D as he soon found himself tapping out to the submission.

Tito Santana and Junkyard Dog def. Greg Valentine and David Schultz in 13:26 by submission when Santana submitted Schultz with a Figure-Four Leglock.

    RATING: 62

McMahon: And he has done it! Tito Santana is victorious in his return to WWF in-ring action!

Ventura: Are you kidding me? They cheated! Junkyard Dog was interfering in the match!

Monsoon: Are you blind? Neither he nor Valentine was the legal man!

Ventura: I know what I saw, Monsoon, and that was illegal interference clear as day.

McMahon: Well, unfortunately, what else is clear as day is we've reached the conclusion of tonight's program. Thank you so much for tuning in and we'll see you next week for another exciting edition of WWF Wrestling Challenge!

    1qiP12x.jpg?1Hez0MIv.jpg?1

McMahon: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to another exciting edition of Tuesday Night Titans. I'm Vince McMahon alongside me as always is Lord Alfred Hayes and Lord Alfred, we've got a lot to recap from Saturday Night's Main Event three days ago from Philadelphia. Hulk Hogan retained the WWF World Heavyweight Championship against 'Mr. Wonderful' Paul Orndorff, but, his good friend Mr. T found himself the victim of a blindside attack by 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper on Piper's Pit. We should have more details on that assault out later on WWF's Wrestling Challenge later this week.

Hayes: An absolutely dastardly attack that's left many boiling within the World Wrestling Federation. The fallout from Saturday's attack is going to be wide-reaching for sure.

McMahon: We hope to hear Hulk Hogan's reaction soon, but in other big news from Saturday, not only were the WWF Intercontinental and WWF World Tag Team Championships successfully defended by Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine and The North-South Connection, respectively, but we also had Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan's $15,000 Bodyslam - excuse me - $50,000 Bodyslam Challenge held as well as Andre the Giant attempted to slam Big Jo-

???: And he just couldn't get it done.

    vk7feW1.jpg?1

Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan leisurely strolls onto the set with a wide smirk on his face as he shoos Lord Alfred over to the adjacent seat - allowing him to sit down right next to McMahon.

McMahon: Well, ladies and gentlemen, here he is, our guest for this evening, Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan. Well, Bobby, The Heenan Family had a bit of an up-and-down night on Sa-

Heenan: Ah, ah, ah, ah... up and down night? I don't think so, my friend! See, The Family was standing tall at the end of the night. We proved once and for all just what a fraud your 'Eighth Wonder of the World' Andre the Giant really is. He couldn't slam Big John Studd and claim the $50,000 prize I made available. He's a fraud! F-r-a-u-d, fraud!

McMahon: Surely you don't realize Andre was ambushed from behind by Ken Patera, thus ending the challenge, right?

Heenan: I have no recollection of that.

McMahon: You were right there at ringside.

Heenan: And I have no recollection. But, besides that, from what's been rumored around the locker room, Andre's not even going to be in Bongla...where are we this week?

    McMahon: Binghamton, New York.

Heenan: Ugh, this company sure knows how to pick them. Andre the Giant will not be in Binghamton this week. So, sorry kiddies! Looks like your hero, that freak, Andre the Giant won't be showing. Just remember who did this... and fear the name - The Heenan Family.

McMahon: A sold-out Spectrum here in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as the World Wrestling Federation welcomes you LIVE to Saturday Night's Main Event! I'm Vince McMahon alongside my broadcast partners, Jesse 'The Body' Ventura and Gorilla Monsoon, and, gentlemen, we've got one sensational card in store for us tonight. The WWF World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line as Hulk Hogan defends against 'Mr. Wonderful' Paul Orndorff, but, not just that, we also have Cowboy Bob Orton taking on 'Superfly' Jimmy Snuka as well as having the WWF Intercontinental and WWF World Tag Team Championships on the line as well!

Ventura: Yeah, yeah, a historic night - sure, McMahon. But! Tonight, we're finally seeing that big idiot Hulk Hogan finally lose that WWF World Heavyweight Championship! 'Mr. Wonderful's' coming through, and he's taking that gold home with him tonight.

Monsoon: Always one to keep it light, aren't you?

Ventura: Look at you playing favorites out here, Monsoon.

    Monsoon: I'm playing favorites?

McMahon: As you can tell, my partners for the evening have had quite... strong opinions on tonight's main event. But, that's not all, folks! We've got 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper set to host Piper's Pit with - and we can confirm this - Mr. T! Mr. T is in the building tonight! And that's not all, ladies and gentlemen, finally we've got the next challenger for the $15,000 Bodyslam Challenge as Andre the Giant is set to see if he can bodyslam Big John Studd!

Ventura: Studd's truly an immovable object and that big oaf won't be able to budge him an inch. Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan knows how to eye talent and that's why he's got the big man, Big John Studd, on his side.

McMahon: Yes, indeed, and to everyone around the nation watching on the USA Network, this is Saturday Night's Main Event and we've got our first match coming up now!

Hillbilly Jim vs. Brutus Beefcake w/Luscious Johnny V

    FHzsGxo.jpg?13k7mX0d.jpgu9Mz3KV.jpg?1w/amppLpB.jpg?1

Hillbilly Jim clearly picked up a thing or two from his training with Hulk Hogan as he utilized plenty of power moves early to keep the threat of Beefcake away. But, the crafty heel was able to find ways to pick apart the relative newcomer in the opposite corner as he was able to bring Jim to his knees as he started to brutalize him. The fans started to cheer on Jim in hopes for a comeback - prompting something to stir deep in Jim as he eventually started to hulk up similar to his new mentor.

Beefcake and Johnny Valiant on the outside were bewildered at the continuous second winds Jim kept summoning as the big man just couldn't be put down for a three-count. Valiant tried every dirty trick in the book from the outside to help, but nothing was able to throw the match Beefcake's way. After several attempts at connecting with a High Knee failed, Beefcake threw the rulebook to the side as he started to choke Jim out with the help of the ropes. After failing to break a five-count, the ref had no choice but to call for the bell.

Hillbilly Jim def. Brutus Beefcake in 10:55 when Beefcake was intentionally disqualified.

    RATING: 61

Monsoon: Beefcake couldn't win the match when fighting fair, so he takes the cheap way out! What an unbelievable and despicable ending to that match.

Ventura: Taking out the trash, Monsoon. Taking out the trash. Hillbilly Jim doesn't belong in the World Wrestling Federation. You know it, I know it, the whole world knows it.

McMahon: Well, while you two debate about the merits of one Hillbilly Jim, we're moving on next to tag team action as the WWF World Tag Team Championships are on the line!

    'WWF World Tag Team Championships'

The North-South Connection © vs. The U.S. Express w/Capt. Lou Albano

    m7pq1c6.jpg?1wvGRmwX.jpg?1CMjiuJD.jpgk0YXafC.jpg?1lLrIN33.jpg?1w/0tfXVnA.jpg?1

The U.S. Express proved they were up to the challenge of the tag team champs - and while the tutelage of one Captain Lou appeared to be beneficial, the chemistry between both Barry Windham and Mike Rotundo just seemed natural. The challengers had Adrian Adonis and Dick Murdoch on the ropes in the first half of the match, but the overall experience of the champions gave them the edge in the back half of the match as Adonis planted Rotundo into the match with an Adorable Dog to retain the tag titles.

The North-South Connection def. The U.S. Express in 9:52 when Adonis pinned Rotundo with an Adorable Dog.

**The North-South Connection retain the WWF World Tag Team Championships.**

    RATING: 54

McMahon: A solid title defense for The North-South Connection as Adrian Adonis and Dick Murdoch pick up the victory here in Philadelphia! Question is, who's next?

Monsoon: The edge of having an experienced manager in their corner in the form of Captain Lou Albano just wasn't enough for the young Barry Windham and Mike Rotundo. But, they'll be back. The U.S. Express will be back to challenge for those WWF World Tag Team Championships in no time.

Ventura: Were you watching the same match I was watching, Monsoon? They were outclassed all the way throughout it! The U.S. Express are minnows in a world of sharks in the WWF.

McMahon: Well, ladies and gentlemen, it's now time for a competition we've all been waiting to see as Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan is coming down now as Andre the Giant is prepared to step up to take the $15,000 Bodyslam Challenge!

Ventura: Oh, boy, this ought to be good.

Indeed, Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan and Big John Studd both made their way down to the ring with the capacity-filled Philadelphia Spectrum showering boos on the both of them. The vocal response from the 18,000-plus in attendance didn't appear to faze either Heenan or Studd as Heenan grabbed a microphone as he made his way into the ring. Studd stood in place mean mugging for the crowd as Heenan stood brandishing an impressively-sized briefcase.

Heenan: Awwwww, you're so kind, Philadelphia! Unfortunately for you all, when you hold as much power in this world as I do, you just don't quite care just what you all think. My God, I look out in this audience at all of your ugly mugs and I really do see why this place is called the City of Brotherly Love. Either that or it's something in the water that makes you all look like that. Well, here we are! After weeks and weeks of anticipation, the $15,000 Bodyslam Challenge to end all $15,000 Bodyslam Challenges is finally upon us. Well, actually, that's a bit of a lie... for you see...

Heenan places the briefcase down on a pedestal that was already placed in the and pops open the contraption. Either the briefcase was filled with singles or the pot had clearly been sweetened...

Heenan: I've always been a believer in the talent I've acquired and I've always put my money where my mouth is - and don't you ever dare say otherwise. What you're looking at is more money than any of you slugs will ever see in your life! For you see, tonight, we're not having a $15,000 Bodyslam Challenge after all. Tonight, we're having a $50,000 Bodyslam Challenge!

The commentary table is besides themselves at the news as the crowd is split - yeah, Heenan just insulted them, but that sure is a lot of money in that briefcase.

Heenan: So, let's get this show on the road, shall we? The man of the hour, the man who thinks he's got the power! Andre the Giant!

    7Ylu3HM.jpg?2

The Philadelphia Spectrum erupts and leaps to their feet as the eighth wonder of the world, Andre the Giant, steps through the curtain and starts making his way down to the ring. Andre's clearly got business on his mind as his pace to the ring is direct and almost seems quicker than usual. Entering the ring, Andre steps right up to Heenan, but his path is immediately blocked by Studd, who steps right in the way.

Heenan: Whoa now! Easy there, big fella! You'll get your chance for the 50 grand, just cool i-

Andre shoves an arm past Studd and just manages to wrangle the microphone away from Heenan.

Andre: Enough talk, little man, or I will squash you like a bug. Let's do this.

Heenan shrugs as he takes the briefcase with him down to ringside, leaving Andre and Studd as the only two people in the ring.

Studd took a step forward to one of the few men surprisingly larger than him, but then quickly hesitated and retreated a step back once Andre took a step forward to close the distance. Heenan on the outside shouted down some of the jeers calling Studd a coward from the ringside fans as he encouraged Studd to step forward yet again. Studd heeded the words of his manager and stepped forth again - this time with his arms raised. Andre stared down Studd - eyeballing him to see if he was about to make another retreat again - and walked forward to pick him up. Just as Andre was able to grab a hold of the big man, Studd squirmed and backed up again as the chorus of boos from the 18,000 strong intensified.

Studd protested something to Heenan as the ringside cameras were having trouble picking up just what his complaint was. After a brief conference, Studd returned to the center of the ring as he slowly raised his arms again to give Andre a chance. Another few moments of evaluation from the Frenchman passed again as he stepped forward and got in position to pick up Big John. In one clean movement, Andre got one leg of Studd's in the air, but then...

    aNaj6Az.jpg?1

Heenan Family member Ken Patera slid into the ring from behind Andre and clubbed him over the back with a double axe handle. The shot to the upper back prompted Andre to release a hold on Studd as suddenly he found himself attacked from both sides by both members of Heenan Family. Heenan was having himself a jolly time on the outside as he brandished that briefcase for the camera as Andre was beaten down to one knee and then slammed face-first into the canvas. Patera raised Studd's arm as Studd posed with a boot on the back of the downed giant to end the segment.

    RATING: 76

McMahon: Despicable! An absolutely despicable charade by The Heenan Family here on Saturday Night's Main Event! Big John Studd and Ken Patera have beaten Andre the Giant down in the middle of the ring!

Monsoon: The $50,000 was a ploy! A distraction! There was never going to be a competition!

Ventura: Anybody else notice how Andre still didn't slam him? No? Just me?

    'WWF Intercontinental Championship'

Greg Valentine © vs. Junkyard Dog

    QNLbhab.jpg

    1Z1N1VT.jpg?1CMjiuJD.jpgbPhQeOE.jpg?1

Valentine made sure to control the pace of the match early as he knew if JYD were to string a few strong hits together he'd quickly find himself victim of The Thump. Downing JYD in the center of the ring, a couple single-leg boston crabs and heel locks couldn't keep the title challenger down for long as he quickly found himself back to his feet and dropping the champion with several arm drags and slams. Junkyard Dog perhaps let himself get a little carried away at times as he'd occasionally mistime a strike - allowing Valentine to slip behind and drive him into a corner. The beatdown continued in a corner of the ring for agonizing moment after agonizing moment until a big shove out of the corner led to a running shoulder tackle for a near fall for the challenger.

JYD picked up the momentum as he was about to drop The Hammer with a Thump, but Valentine found a way to slip out of JYD's grasp and retreat to the outside. The challenger wasn't going to let another match end with a countout victory as he was quick to pursue Valentine to the outside area - but he fell right into the champion's trap as he quickly found himself irish whipped into a ring post. Valentine continued to brutalize his opponent with the steel beam as he rolled JYD into the ring and immediately slapped on a Figure-Four Leglock. Junkyard Dog tried with all his might to endure the hold, but it proved to be too much as he soon found himself tapping out.

Greg Valentine def. Junkyard Dog in 11:50 by submission with a Figure-Four Leglock.

**Greg Valentine retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship.**

    RATING: 63

After the post-match arm raising, Valentine posed with the Intercontinental Championship for a few brief moments before placing the belt down and eyeing the still downed Junkyard Dog. A sadistic smile came over Valentine's face as he shoved the referee out of the way and immediately applied yet another Figure-Four Leglock onto JYD. The Hammer was well on his way to putting yet another wrestler on the shelf with his signature submission hold, but...

    0Voq4CU.jpg?1

Tito Santana sprinted out from the back to make the save! The man who Valentine put out of action for five months is officially back and clearly in fighting shape as he pried Valentine off of JYD, laid in a couple shots on the Intercontinental Champion, then clotheslined him over the top rope. Tito was quick to check on the downed Junkyard Dog in the middle of the ring as Valentine was quick to make a hasty retreat to the back.

    RATING: 71

McMahon: He's back! He's back! Tito Santana is back!

Monsoon: Five months on the sidelines by the hand of Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine and he returned just in time to save his friend, Junkyard Dog, from suffering the same fate as him! You know what has to be on his mind now, he has to be ready to go for another shot at the WWF Intercontinental Championship Valentine took away from him!

Jimmy Snuka vs. Cowboy Bob Orton

    gfTfTDZ.jpg?1CMjiuJD.jpgFmmTmNI.jpg?1

Orton worked to keep the quick Superfly on a much slower pace throughout the match - a strategy that only paid off about half the time for him. A series of side headlocks and rest holds kept the early pace of the match slow, but Snuka time and time again would find ways to feed off the energy of the crowd and power away from the Missouri native. Orton was able to cut off Snuka's burst of energy with a well-placed kick to the abdomen as he was able to control the next stages of the match from there with a combination of holds to slow the match down and some slams in there as well.

The 18,000 strong in attendance weren't giving up on Superfly though as they willed him back onto his feet yet again. Couple well-placed elbows and chops quickly got Snuka back into the game as a leaping chop downed Orton long enough for Snuka to leap for the top and signal for a Superfly Splash. Just before the fan favorite was about to make his leap, Orton quickly rolled out of the ring and recovered right next to the apron. Leaping down into the ring, Snuka rolled out himself and retrieved Orton, rolling him into the ring and placing some stomps in before heading back up for another attempt at his finishing maneuver. Sizing up the downed Orton, Snuka leapt off for the Superfly Splash but didn't get all of it as Orton was able to roll through using Snuka's momentum and got into a pinning position - all the while grabbing a rope for extra leverage and the win.

Cowboy Bob Orton def. Jimmy Snuka in 14:12 by pinfall while using the ropes illegally for leverage.

    RATING: 51

Ventura: What a shame, Superfly just couldn't get it done. You know what the question on everyone's mind is now, when's the retirement party?

Monsoon: Cowboy Bob Orton cheated! It's hard to fight and win fair and square when your opponent throws the rulebook out!

Ventura: All's fair when it comes to war, Monsoon. The fact you never picked up on that explains so much.

McMahon: Gentlemen, I'm going to jump in the middle of this here to once again confirm that Mr. T, star of 'The A Team' is here with us tonight, and he'll be making his appearance on Piper's Pit next!

    </div>

    <div style="padding: 5px; border: 5px solid #ff0000; margin:0px;background: #ffffff; max-width:80%;" ;"="">

    W6040tq.jpg?1

With The Piper's Pit set already set up by the stage entrance, Roddy Piper gets right to it as he walks onto set and is soaking up all of the boos showered down upon him with glee. He hams it up for the Philadelphia crowd - prompting them to intensify their jeers against him.

Piper: What a crowd, eh? What a crowd! The city of brotherly love showing up strong here tonight for Saturday Night's Main Event and for the first Piper's Pit of the year! Tell me, tell me really, you missed me didn't you, Philly? Ah, no, you're too kind, you're too kind! Well, I understand your excitement tonight - we've got a big-time Hollywood superstar here! And it's all thanks to yours truly! No need to express your gratitude, Philly, after all I'm a god, but a humble one. So, just as God can perform miracles, I'm going to pull one off right here - ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, my guest for Piper's Pit, Mr. T!

    iUyZRjf.jpg?1

The crowd erupts as the man himself emerges from behind the curtain to stand on the Piper's Pit set. He warily keeps his distance from Piper as he eyeballs him from across the set. He then slowly closes the distance as he stands (and refuses to take a seat offered by Piper) about three feet away from the show's host.

Piper: The man himself! Mr. T! B.A. Baracus! Mr. Hollywood himself! Philadelphia, what's the matter with you all? Bow down to this man! Spends his days out in sunny California and decided he'd pay this wasteland a visit. So, big guy, I've already rolled out the red carpet for you, anything else I can get you to make you more comfortable? Look! I've even provided glasses of water and everything!

Staring a bullet through Piper's head, Mr. T speaks into Piper's microphone.

Mr. T: Listen, man. Don't think I don't know what sort of game you're playing here. You've been having something against Hulk Hogan and you think you can get to him through me. I'm not playing any games here, Piper. You want Hogan, you challenge Hogan. You think you can get to Hulk Hogan by coming for Mr. T? You better think twice, sucka.

Piper: Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Mr. T! You've got me all wrong! Look, Hulk Hogan - as much of a lovable dork he is - he's not the issue here. In fact, there's no issue at all. I'm a man of the people; and what these people here have been clamoring for is you Mr. T! Though, since you decided to bring the man up, and I'm positive these folks here want to know more about him - what is your relationship like with Hulk Hogan, anyways? Both of you stars of Rocky III, and now you're both stars in your own right. Well, except of course, Hulk Hogan stands tall as the WWF World Heavyweight Champion... and you're the fourth-billed star of The A-Team after all.

Mr. T doesn't flinch at all at the remark, something that comes to the surprise of Piper.

Piper: Tell us all though, just what is Hulk Hogan the man like? I get it, you don't want to go into your working relationship with him - and I get that, he's a pain in the neck to work with if I do say so myself. But, what makes the man tick? What keeps the man up at night?

Mr. T: I'll tell you what he doesn't fear, fool. You ever defeating him for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship.

A wicked scowl forms over Piper's mouth as he clearly starts to turn red. He closes the gap to Mr. T and walks right up to his face with Mr. T refusing to budge an inch for Piper.

Piper: I'm going to ask you this one time. And I'm going to ask you nicely. What... did you just say to me?

Mr. T: Maybe you need your ears cleaned out, sucka. I said, you are never going to defeat Hulk Hogan for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship.

The scowl remains on Piper's face as the two men continue to stare each other down. But, Mr. T is then quickly dropped by the glass of water Piper presented earlier getting smashed across his temple. Shards of glass fly across the set as officials and Hollywood agent-looking types quickly separate the two men as Piper held his hands up as he walked towards the camera shouting the words 'He made me do it! I'm telling you he made me do it!'

    RATING: 99

McMahon: We need some more help up there! He took shard of glass directly to the eye! 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper's a lunatic!

Monsoon: We knew the mere mention of Hulk Hogan's name has irritated Piper these last few weeks, but he's snapped! Completely snapped! If I'm the commissioner of the World Wrestling Federation I'd be looking at a suspension right now!

Ventura: Boys, you know I love myself some Roddy Piper. But, this doesn't look good. That situation up top there looks dire with Mr. T. If Mr. T isn't blind leaving Philadelphia tonight, it'll be nothing short of a miracle. McMahon: We hope to have updates on Mr. T's condition as soon as we receive them. We're going to head to our last commercial break up next, but up next, Hulk Hogan defends his WWF World Heavyweight Championship after 'Mr. Wonderful' Paul Orndorff.

    YrOZoiI.jpg

    CTSuXhu.jpg?1CMjiuJD.jpgglcV1OC.jpg?1w/ZxIuXtI.jpg?1

The champion clearly had something on his mind what with the recent assault on his friend by one Roddy Piper as he just didn't appear to be himself at the ringing of the bell. Orndorff brutalized the champion with a variety of chops and slams as Hogan just didn't have any answer for any of Mr. Wonderful's offense. Ten punches in the corner dropped Hogan to the mat as Orndorff posed for the crowd. Several punches from a rising Hogan momentarily stunned Mr. Wonderful, but a thunderous knee lift sent Hogan down to the mat yet again.

With Bobby Heenan directing Orndorff from outside the ring, Mr. Wonderful went to slap on a sleeper hold on the champion, but Hogan was giving all of his might to break up the hold from being applied. The champion was just able to break free of Orndorff's grasp and deliver a couple of punches before whipping him off the ropes and connecting with a big boot. A more inexperienced Hogan might have gone right for the Atomic Legdrop, but Hogan recognized it was still much too early in the match for a competitor of Orndorff's caliber for him to stay down, so he waited for Mr. Wonderful to get to his feet. Once the title challenger was back vertical, Hogan lit him up with several more punches before trying to lock in a sleeper hold of his own. Hogan too was having issues with locking in the hold as Orndorff just managed to power out and countered down into an armbar.

Hogan just managed to get to a rope as the ref ordered Orndorff to back off to let the champion back up - an instruction that was refused as Orndorff delivered a swift kick to the ribs of the champion. Orndorff followed up by brutalizing Hogan with some further slams, but lost the momentum again after posing once more, giving Hogan an opportunity to attack back. One strong gutbuster by Hogan kept the challenger long enough to finally give the champion a chance to take a breather in the corner. Just as Hogan was ready to continue the attack, Heenan ran to his corner and hung onto his boot to prevent him from walking away. The distraction proved to last long enough to allow Orndroff to charge with a full body splash in the corner.

Headed up top, Orndorff then connected with a flying knee drop as he covered Hogan for an agonizingly close near fall. Just as Orndorff started to get to his feet, Hogan quickly shot up to his feet and was hulking up! Heenan jumped up onto the apron to shout some abuse at Hogan, to which the Hulkster responded by grabbing Orndorff and shoving him into his own manager! Staggering off the ropes, Hogan connected with a second Big Boot and a quick Atomic Legdrop for the successful title defense.

Hulk Hogan def. Paul Orndorff in 19:11 by pinfall with an Atomic Legdrop.

**Hulk Hogan retains the WWF World Heavyweight Championship.**

    RATING: 85

McMahon: He did it! And still the WWF World Heavyweight Champion! Hulk Hogan!

Ventura: I think I'm going to be sick...

Monsoon: The Heenan Family will be walking away tonight with their heads not totally held high. Look at Heenan! He's still sprawled out on the floor!

McMahon: We thank you all so much for tuning in to Saturday Night's Main Event, but, we'd like to remind you that this is just the beginning! We're off on the road to Wrestlemania and Madison Square Garden! We'll see you soon!

    </div>

  5. So. It's been awhile. But, I've gotten extremely nostalgic for this era and save over the past several weeks and decided to try reviving it. I had the save booked through Wrestlemania (and have the show notes from each), but in diary I only got through the first month or so. Given that it shouldn't be too hard to play through a new save with everything booked the exact same as it happened in the previous one, I'm giving it another go.

Saturday Night's Main Event #1 coming soon.

Munakata Heading to BHOTWG, Offers Made to Several PGHW Talent... Statler Working Injured

    hSd18C8.jpg?1Xivr1N6.jpg?1

    • Totoya Munakata is set to make a move to BHOTWG after agreeing to an exclusive contract with the Japanese giant. Munakata's been a young PGHW mainstay all the way from their SAISHO years. A solid fixture of the lower midcard, the move comes as a bit of a blow to Japan's #2 company, but the rumor is the fight to keep Munakata wasn't that intense. BHOTWG have also sent out contract offers to several prominent midcarders in the PGHW ranks. CEO Nobuatso Tatsuko and booker Shuji Inukai's internal strategy on the matter is to fight hard for those that have already had special long-term plans in place. Evidently, Munakata didn't make the cut on that front.

    • Marv Statler is reported to be working injured after PGHW's year-opening event. Statler is said to be working through some lingering shoulder pain that was caused during an unfortunate botch in The Ring Generals' year-opening tag match against Kobayashi & Kamachi. Injury's said to likely last around two months and may take Statler out of a nod to enter his first Elite Series.

As expected, SATO and Yoshikawa were in complete control through the match. Goya and Kamimura were able to have several brief flashes of offense as both young lions looked to be working quite well together. Unfortunately for them, SATO and Yoshikawa worked together like a solid team themselves.

SATO and Stone Yoshikawa defeated Daigo Goya and Masatochi Kamimura in 7:41 when Yoshikawa submitted Kamimura with an Ankle Lock.

If Oto wanted hard-hitting action, they got it with this six-man tag. Each individual on each time had time to shine with impactful offense as Takimoto in particular kept egging Takano on to battle. The minute or so both men had in squaring off with each other, Takimoto took the fight to Takano with several heavy strikes before Takano surprisingly backed off and tagged out to Flemmingway. The American would go strike for strike against the younger and heavier Takimoto, but he would find himself eventually outdone and on the receiving end of a Gutwrench Tombstone to take the loss for his side.

Gonnohyoe Kada, Hirobumi Takimoto and Hirotsugu Satou defeated Avalanche Takano, Simon Flemmingway and Eien Miyamoto in 13:07 when Takimoto pinned Flemmingway with a Gutwrench Tombstone.

    RATING: 56

In his taped post-match backstage comments, Takimoto called out PGHW Historical Japan Champion Avalanche Takano asking if Takano had what it takes to withstand a full-on onslaught from him. Formally laying out a challenge for the PGHW Historical Japan Championship, Takimoto asks why wait for the conclusion of the tour? Why not in Aomori for Night #5 in several days?

Waldorf and Statler tried to slow the pace of the match down from the get go - cutting off Kobayashi and Kamachi any chance they could try to pick the pace up. The method of picking the Japanese wrestlers apart proved to be quite effective in the early stages of the match. A strong forearm and open-handed chop combo from Kobayashi provided enough of an opening for a big boot that tilted the scales in favor of his side.

Waldorf and Statler's smaller frames allowed them to exercise their agility and regain an advantage as they focused their efforts on the smaller Kamachi. Stellar double team work and great ring awareness of keeping Kobayashi at bay set Kamachi up to receive a Wheelbarrow Bomb just before the 15-minute mark.

The Ring Generals defeated Kobayashi & Kamachi in 13:53 by pinfall with a Wheelbarrow Bomb on Kamachi.

The battle between the two established tag teams was a hard-hitting contest as Yano & Kikuchi and Beast & West wowed the crowd by hitting the ever-loving hell out of each other. Plenty of moments of fighting spirit in this one as each individual on each side would shrug off a strike and then return one right back. Beast & West would look to Jimbo for backup if need be as Yano & Kikuchi made it a point to keep Suzuki on the apron as they looked as if they were going out of their way to make a point against all three of their opponents.

The tag champs looked impressive at times against Jimbo, but the Glory Crown Champion made sure to send a message right back with various stiff strikes against Yano and Kikuchi. West looked for a tag late from Jimbo and received one - immediately following up with some running offense on the champions. Cavanagh kept Suzuki at bay as West nailed Kikuchi with a TNT Whirlwind to pick up the W.

Seiji Jimbo and Beast & West defeated Hitomaru Suzuki and Yano & Kikuchi in 19:43 when West pinned Kikuchi with a TNT Whirlwind

    RATING: 71

West: Well, we pinned the champions - I guess that makes us the de facto #1 contenders for the PGHW Glory Tag Crowns, doesn't it? Night of RESPECT, Yano & Kikuchi, we're coming for those championships!

There wasn't much room to hide once the bell rang to kick off the match. Those that already had tag team partners were quick to partner up as, for example, Ugaki and Muruyama started hammering away in a corner on Yasuda as Kwakami and Sanda did the same on the opposite side of the ring against Hayes. Yamanoue and Nagahama - the two oldest competitors in the rumble - soon found themselves to be public enemy #1 as it seemed the rest of the competitors quickly turned their attention on them. Reaver was quick to toss Yamanoue out as Makiguchi and Kitoaji delivered a stereo drop kick to send Nagahama out.

**Reaver eliminates Hirokazu Yamanoue. KitoGuchi eliminates Mamoru Nagahama.**

Old rivals Ugaki and Kawashima quickly found themselves squaring off against the other as they seemed more intent on throwing strikes at each other rather than eliminating the other from the rumble. Muruyama attempted to help his teammate out and make it a 2-on-1 attack on Kawashima, but Komiya went for a shot of glory himself and nearly dumped the veteran Muruyama out of the ring. Needless to say, Muruyama didn't take too kindly to that as he quickly dumped Komiya out with a clothesline over the top rope.

    **Ryoma Muruyama eliminates Goemon Komiya.**

Former WLW standouts Magnum Kobe and Reaver found strength in numbers as they began to take the fight to KitoGuchi. The 2-on-2 battle nearly spilled over the top rope on multiple occasions, but each of the four men would find a way to get back in the ring and avoid elimination. Elsewhere, Kwakami and Sanda kept their teamwork up as they closed in on Yasuda and Hayes. Yasuda was nearly eliminated after going over the top rope, but Hayes didn't prove to be as lucky as Kwakami recorded his first elimination of the rumble.

    **Akinori Kwakami eliminates William Hayes.**

The Kobe-Reaver/KitoGuchi battle raged on as Kwakami and Sanda quickly made their way over to assist in getting Kitoaji and Makiguchi out. A fireman's carry slam from Reaver over the top rope quickly eliminated Makiguchi as Kitoaji appeared to be helpless from the two teams closing in on him. Kazushige Matsuki was quick to attempt to even the odds as he was able to distract Kwakami and Sanda from helping Kitoaji over the top rope. Somehow, Kitoaji was able to power his way out of the corner and away from the edge as he tried establishing positioning in the center of the ring.

    **Reaver eliminates Bussho Makiguchi.**

Kawashima was able to drop both Ugaki with a high-angle K-Kick that left the most recent PGHW Glory Crown champion reeling in the corner. Now that he was able to even the odds to 1-on-1, Muruyama proved to be helpless against the blond-haired star as a brainbuster stunned Muruyama long enough to get dumped over the top rope by Kawashima.

Elsewhere, Yasuda was able to recover enough energy to jump back into the mix of things as he helped assist Matsuki in taking the fight to Kwakami and Sanda. Dropping Kwakami with an enzuigiri, both Yasuda and Matsuki quickly dumped Sanda over the top rope with a double clothesline. Looking pleased at the work both did, Yasuda and Matsuki turned their attention back to the rest of the competitors in the ring... but Yasuda's alliance appeared to be shortlived as he quickly grabbed Matsuki by the back of the head and quickly tossed him out of the ring himself!

**Kozue Kawashima eliminates Ryoma Muruyama. Tetsunori Yasuda and Kazushige Matsuki eliminates Noriyori Sanda. Tetsunori Yasuda eliminates Kazushige Matsuki.**

Kitoaji was quick to become the focus of everyone's efforts as Reaver and Kobe's quick-paced double team action left the second-generation talent reeling and on the receiving end of The Glorious Red from Kobe. After getting planted with the move, Reaver quickly got Kitoaji back to his feet as the PGHW International Champion dumped Kitoaji out of the ring to join his teammate.

    **Reaver eliminates Chojiro Kitoaji.**

Kawashima continuously tried to dump Ugaki over the top rope, but the two-time Glory Crown Champion kept summoning all of his fighting spirit to keep himself in the ring. Yasuda figured with Kawashima distracted that he'd be his next target. All Yasuda's attempt to dump Kawashima over the top rope did though was enrage the star as Kawashima whipped himself around and promptly delivered a leaping knee to Yasuda's head - sending the red-haired wrestler to the mat. This distraction opened Kawashima up for an elimination attempt from Ugaki in what turned out to be just another stalemate.

Kobe and Reaver continued their collaborative effort as Reaver softened Kwakami up with a heavy knee lift to the abdomen as Kobe followed up with his second Glorious Red of the match. This time, it was Kobe to eliminate the recipient of the move as Reaver watched on from the corner. With five men now left in the ring, both WLW alumni tried to assist Ugaki in eliminating Kawashima, but each man quickly found themselves being thrown away as Kawashima stood tall in the ring.

Reaver was first to his feet as he walked straight up to Kawashima - daring the bigger man to throw the first punch (which he gladly did.) The two went back and forth in an impressive standing matchup of strikes and various quick slams as the PGHW International Champion refused to give an inch to his larger opponent. Several heavy blows across the back from Kawashima opened Reaver up to a Kawashima Driver 2005 as Reaver couldn't get out of the setup for the move. Having his head driven into the mat, Reaver was quick to get eliminated - but the Glory Rumble sure proved to be a strong effort from the champ.

**Reaver eliminates Akinori Kwakami. Kozue Kawashima eliminates Reaver.**

Having spent a good amount of energy on taking out the International Champion, Kawashima dropped to one knee - prompting Ugaki to try to seize the moment and eliminate his rival. Using the corner pad for some help, Ugaki was able to get Kawashima's left side over the top rope, but Kawashima was able to hook his right leg on one of the ropes to prevent him from going out. Kobe and Yasuda seized the opportunity of their own as they quickly made their way over to double team Ugaki. Ugaki was able to hold his own against the two as a high-angle DDT stunned Yasuda for long enough that Ugaki unceremoniously dumped him from the ring - leaving three competitors remaining.

Kobe and Ugaki went toe-to-toe as both men were so hellbent on eliminating the other that both nearly dumped each other out simultaneously. Kawashima continued to lay in the opposite corner as he could only watch with delight at his opponents' reckless display. Ugaki went for a leaping knee on the red-haired Kobe as Kobe quickly rolled out of the way - causing Ugaki to get hung up on the ropes. A running dropkick from Kobe to the back of Ugaki's head caused the former Glory Crown Champion to let go of the rope and crash to the outside.

**Masaru Ugaki eliminates Tetsunori Yasuda. Magnum Kobe eliminates Masaru Ugaki.**

Kawashima - having rested enough - figured it was best to no longer waste any time as he charged his way across the ring. Connecting with a big boot, the bigger man immediately went for an elimination as he first picked Kobe up for a Kawashima Driver 2005, but Kobe managed to wriggle out of the setup hold and countered with a headscissor rana that nearly sent Kawashima over the top. With Kawashima hanging to the ropes, Kobe ran across the ring and tried a running shining wizard, but Kawashima caught him in position for a Kawashima Driver again! For a second time, Kobe was able to free himself (with help of the ropes) as he delivered a second headscissors - this time sending his opponent crashing to the mat.

Magnum Kobe wins the Glory Rumble 2020 in 32:54.

    RATING: 74

Kobe: Seiji Jimbo, I've bested two of the three existing pillars of Pride Glory Honor Wrestling. I outlasted Ugaki. I outlasted Kawashima. I beat the both of them in one fell swoop in one match. What do you think I'm going to do to you? Unlike Ugaki and Kawashima, you're just a boy running around masquerading as the top man in the company and you need to be taken down a peg. Night of RESPECT, there'll be no respect. I'm driving you back into the dirt where you belong.

<div style="padding: 5px; border: 5px solid #ffffff; margin:0px;background: #ffffff; max-width:80%;" ;"="">Created by Japanese legend Sadaharo Jimbo in 1996, PGHW had a meteoric rise to prominence thanks to the amazing matches that the 'golden generation' wrestlers like Miwa, Tatsuko, Mushashibo, Hoshino and Inukai pumped out on a monthly basis for over a decade. The intense style that made the matches so watchable proved to be a double-edged sword though, as their stars fell away to injury one by one. Jimbo retired in 2014 and handed over power to his protege Nobuatsu Tatsuko, who unfortunately has been unable to stop the rot; with the old stars all retired and few new stars stepping up to replace them, PGHW has been in a steep decline for a while now. Whether Tatsuko can turn them around remains to be seen. -Adam Ryland

<div style="padding: 5px; border: 5px solid #ffffff; margin:0px;background: #ffffff; max-width:80%;" ;"="">AUTHOR'S NOTE: Little bit of 'outside of the story' backstory here. So, did a windows reboot a couple weeks ago and - me being me - forgot to back up my WWF 1985 save. So, I've decided to venture into the Cornellverse with my favorite company in the game - Pride Glory Honor Wrestling. Given I've slacked a bit when it came to doing a weekly show like most western-based promotions, I feel doing a Japanese promotion again jives with my posting frequency where you'll have a big show with the occasional major 'Road To' show.

Anyways, no fancy backstory diving into the mind of Shuji Inukai or Nobuatso Tatsuko here. Just a straight up PGHW playthrough.

    </div>

  11. I generally never touch the C-Verse but I've fallen in love with playing as PGHW. I'm about to start the 2020 Night of HONOUR tour and thus far here's what I've got going on...

    *Glory Crown/New Three Pillars*

I've had Ugaki take the title from Jimbo after winning Elite Series and successfully defending his title shot against Kitoaji. Jimbo successfully defended the Glory Crown against Kwakami leading into his clash with Ugaki. 40-minute clash went to Ugaki, who has since defended the belt against Matsuki and Kobe in successive months. Kawashima issued a challenge after Ugaki's defense against Kobe for Night of HONOUR. Going to have Ugaki retain there and I expect to keep the belt on him all the way past Elite Series 2021.

Meanwhile, Jimbo I'm having go through a bit of a 'lost' phase where he's full of self-doubt on how he couldn't hang with Ugaki in the ring. A shock loss to BISON Yano at Night of WARRIORS didn't help anything for his mindset as well. Just managed to scoop up Yasuhiko Taira from BHOTWG on a one-year exclusive as they're letting him go as they feel they can't get much out of him at 42... I'm going to have him debut and face Jimbo at Night of HONOUR, where Jimbo'll go over.

    *Glory Tag Crown*

BHOTWG scooped up Brute Kikuchi pretty quick into the save, so I needed to get the titles off Yano and Kikichu pretty quick. Enter The Ring Generals. Waldorf and Statler grabbed the belts in January and have held them since. The two are each up to 60 pop across Japan with Waldorf actually getting a handshake deal with WLW thanks to that. Popularity was so great apparently WLW just gave him the World Level Universal Championship within the last week. Don't have an idea who I want The Generals to drop the titles to yet, but I'm going to use Waldorf's singles success to springboard him into the International Title's title picture. Which brings me to...

    *International/Historical Japan*

While the description of the International Title describes it as filler somewhat, I'm trying to elevate it. Reaver dropped the belt in April to Magnum Kobe for the latter's first title in PGHW. Kobe's reign, however, was short-lived as I decided to put it on Elite Series runner-up Bussho Makaguchi two months later. Makaguchi has had several high-profile defenses as Kwakami and Reaver so far.

Historical Japan picture's been a bit different as I had Avalanche Takano drop the title to Satou (SATO, meanwhile, is out for 13 months with a semi-severed spine.) Kobayashi's apparently been picked behind the scenes as a future face of the comapny, so he's going to go over at Night of HONOUR.

    • WWF Heavyweight Championship Collision Set!... Hulk Hogan found himself on the losing side of a surprise loss on the first Wrestling Challenge of the year with Paul Orndorff on behalf of The Heenan Family cleanly taking the win over a team that included the WWF Heavyweight Champion. Manager Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan immediately made it clear that 'Mr. Wonderful' had his sights set on the top singles championship in the world... and what better place to hold this title bout than the first-ever Saturday Night's Main Event?
    • Piper's Pit Returns with Mr. T!... Whether Hogan retains the WWF Heavyweight Championship or not, it's evident that 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper is trying to get underneath the Venice Beach native's skin. Whatever his true motives are for inviting Mr. T - a friend of Hogan's from his brief foray into Hollywood - are yet to be known... but it's clear that Piper's up to something.
    • The $15,000 Body Slam Challenge Continues into Philly!... Bobby Heenan's $15,000 Body Slam Challenge laid out with his client, Big John Studd, will face its toughest challenge yet this Saturday as Andre the Giant will step up to the plate to try and slam Studd. No man has been able to earn the prize money yet, but the eighth wonder of the world seems rather confident in his abilities heading into Philadelphia.

The match started off squarely even between both Snuka and Orndorff, but the challenger for Hogan's WWF Heavyweight Championship soon started to power ahead. Orndorff signaled that he was going for a Piledriver early, but Snuka was just able to power out of it and get a tag off to Hogan. Both competitors in tomorrow's main event stood toe-to-toe as Orndorff refused to shy away. After several moments of trash talking, both men started hammering away at each other with punches. Orndorff was able to gain the upper hand as the Worcester faithful tried cheering Hogan back into the match, but Hogan seemed to start fading away from a sleeper.</em></span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"><em> </em></span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"><em> Hogan was able to get a second wind as he capitalized with a Big Boot, but as he went for the Atomic Leg Drop, he was intercepted by Piper, who took him down with a shoulder tackle. Andre then hit the ring to even the odds as Big John Studd then entered to run interference. Hogan was eventually able to see off Piper's attack as the duo of Hogan and Andre then clotheslined Studd out of the ring. As Andre dropped to the outside to continue laying some offense into Studd, Orndorff took advantage of the distraction by clobbering Hogan over the head with a Heenan-provided foreign object that was hidden from the ref's view. Snuka re-entered the ring to accost Orndorff, but he was quickly dropped by a returning Piper. Piper quickly made his way to his apron position as he received a tag as he proceeded to beat down the already banged up Hogan. Andre and Studd meanwhile continued their brawl to the backstage area.</em></span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"><em> </em></span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"><em> Waiting for the world champion to get to his feet, a big smile came across Piper's face as he knew his chance to gain some glory was here. He locked on a Sleeper Hold and cranked up as much pressure as he could as Hogan was able to show some signs of life before he began to fade. The 3,500 in attendance loudly cheered the champion on as the referee began to see if Hogan was still conscious or not. After his arm fell twice upon testing from the ref, Hogan flexed a bicep on the third attempt as he refused to submit. With the fans by his side, Hogan began to hulk up as he powered out of the hold - whipping Piper against the ropes. The Hot Rod just dodged a Big Boot attempt as he quickly slid out of the ring and started making his way to the back. Orndorff and Heenan were baffled by the move as they felt they had the champion on the ropes. With a 10-count reached, Orndorff signaled to Hogan he's coming for the belt tomorrow as he dropped to the floor and headed to the back with Heenan.</em></span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"><em> </em></span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"><em> </em></span><span style="color:#000000;"><em><strong>Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant and Jimmy Snuka</strong></em></span><span style="color:#000000;"><em> def. </em></span><span style="color:#000000;"><em><strong>Paul Orndorff, Big John Studd and Roddy Piper</strong></em></span><span style="color:#000000;"><em> in 17:05 when Piper intentionally got himself counted out and stormed out of the ring against Hogan.</em></span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"> </span><span style="color:#000000;"><strong>RATING: </strong></span><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="color:#00FF00;"><strong>78</strong></span></span><span style="color:#000000;"> </span></p></div><p></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"> </span></p></div></blockquote><p><span style="color:#000000;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"> </span></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#000000;"><strong><em>**POST-MATCH**</em></strong></span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"> </span><img alt="CTSuXhu.jpg?1" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CTSuXhu.jpg?1" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"> </span><span style="color:#000000;"><em>After celebrating for the fans with Snuka, Hogan asked for a microphone as his music faded out.</em></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#000000;"> </span></p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="52375" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><span style="color:#000000;"><strong>Hogan:</strong></span><span style="color:#000000;"> Hulkamania is alive and running like a well-oiled machine, Worcester! "From the World Wrestling Federation... it's Tuesday Night Titans! With your host, Vince McMahon! This is Lord Alfred Hayes inviting you to join Vince and his guest, Andre the Giant! And now, here's your host... Vince McMahon!"

    1qiP12x.jpg?1Hez0MIv.jpg?1

McMahon: Good evening everyone and welcome to yet another edition of Tuesday Night Titans! Well, folks, it's the week we've been waiting for for over a month now - the debut edition of Saturday Night's Main Event is set to take place this weekend in Philadelphia and folks, this is not an event you want to miss. The WWF Heavyweight Champion, Hulk Hogan, will be in action in a title defense against 'Mr. Wonderful' Paul Orndorff, the WWF Intercontinental Championship will be on the line as Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine defends against Junkyard Dog, Roddy Piper will host Piper's Pit with Mr. T and our guest tonight, Andre the Giant, will participate in Big John Studd's '$15,000 Bodyslam Challenge.' I'm joined tonight as always by Lord Alfred Hayes and Lord Alfred, Philadelphia is looking to be quite the place to be on Saturday night.

Hayes: Right you are Vince, so far we have four blockbuster matches on the card and I'm sure we'll hear even more announced this week on All-Star Wrestling and Wrestling Challenge.

McMahon: Well, moving right into the program, our guest this week as we mentioned earlier will participate in the ongoing $15,000 Bodyslam Challenge Big John Studd and Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan have had issued for several months now. Please welcome to the program, Andre the Giant.

    7Ylu3HM.jpg?2

McMahon: Welcome to the program, Andre. You have quite the busy week ahead of you with your participation in the $15,000 Bodyslam Challenge on Saturday. But, also, you'll be back in the main event on Wrestling Challenge on Friday as you team with Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Snuka in a six-man tag match against Big John Studd, Paul Orndorff and Roddy Piper. Another opportunity to get your hands on Big John Studd again before getting to Philadelphia can only be beneficial to you, right?

Andre: It lets me scout things out a bit. But, if I have the opportunity to bodyslam Big John Studd before Saturday Night's Main Event, I'm going to take it.

McMahon: And claim your prize money early, I guess?

Andre: $15,000 is a lot of money. Let's not wait around any longer? Sooner I get past Big John Studd the better.

McMahon: You were able to get even with Studd and The Heenan Family on this past week's edition of Wrestling Challenge, but are you expecting any attempt at revenge from them either on Wrestling Challenge this week or in Saturday Night's Main Event?

Andre: You always have to expect that. Bobby Heenan is a weird little toad and his weird little goons you can always expect to be nipping at your heels. If they want to stick their nose in my business, I will squish Heenan, Orndorff and Patera like the bugs they are.

"From the World Wrestling Federation... it's Tuesday Night Titans! With your host, Vince McMahon! This is Lord Alfred Hayes inviting you to join Vince and his guest, Captain Lou Albano! And now, here's your host... Vince McMahon!"

    1qiP12x.jpg?1Hez0MIv.jpg?1

McMahon: Well, what a month of January it was, ladies and gentlemen. Good evening, everyone! Welcome to another edition of Tuesday Night Titans; as always, I'm your host Vince McMahon and I'm joined, as always, by Lord Alfred Hayes. Lord Alfred, it was a shocking conclusion to the end of this past weekend's episode of Wrestling Challenge as Roddy Piper concluded the program standing tall over the WWF Heavyweight Champion, Hulk Hogan. The Hot Rod's made it clear he's coming for Hogan and that WWF Heavyweight Championship, but already before Hogan's upcoming title defense at Saturday Night's Main Event against Paul Orndorff?

Hayes: Well, the way I see it, there's a certain level of mental warfare going on here on Piper's behalf. He wants Hogan to keep in his mind that he's on his trail. Let's face it, Hulk Hogan and his 'Hulkamania' have been indeed running wild across the World Wrestling Federation since he won the Heavyweight Championship, so if Orndorff were to win the world championship at Saturday Night's Main Event - it'd be easier pickings for Piper.

McMahon: Perhaps, but maybe one would have to consider if Roddy Piper's more concerned with winning the WWF Heavyweight Championship or if his goal is more of a vendetta against Hulk Hogan himself.

Hayes: Interesting thought. I'm sure Piper - being Piper - may expand more and more on his motivations soon enough.

McMahon: Well, time to move on to welcoming our guest for the evening. One of the top managers in the World Wrestling Federation, he currently is the manager for one of the rising young tag teams in the wrestling industry, the U.S. Express. Would you all please welcome to the program, Captain Lou Albano!

    MeEf9Yt.jpg?1

McMahon: Well, Captain Lou, it appears you got your answer this past week on Wrestling Challenge. Your boys, The U.S. Express, are set to challenge The North-South Connection for the WWF World Tag Team Championships at Saturday Night's Main Event. Surely, you must be pleased?

Albano: Oh, absolutely, McMahon. Look at those two schlubs that are currently holding the World Tag Team Championships... now look at my boys, Barry Windham and Mike Rotundo. Old man Dick Murdoch and big boy Adrian Adonis won't be able to hold their own against the best thing to hit this federation in awhile, the U.S. Express.

Hayes: Well, you seem to be cutting deep there on the tag champs. Bit over the line, wouldn't you say?

Albano: Well, I've earned the right if I've crossed any lines. You take a look at the Mt. Rushmore of who's who in this sport as the greatest manager and you've got four faces on there - and they're all me.

Hayes: That's a bit of a scary thought.

Albano: Who are you going to put on there? Mr. Fuji? Mr. Fuji!? Look, I'm not knocking Mr. Fuji's talents as a manager... but yeesh, what a mug.

McMahon: Now, you've seen and guided your fair share of tag teams in the past, Captain Lou. Just what makes the U.S. Express so great in your eyes?

Albano: You're right, McMahon. I've seen the best and I've steered the best. These two young kids coming up are twice-in-a-generation talents. Their teamwork? Unrivaled. Their athleticism? Unequaled. Adrian Adonis and Dick Murdoch, they're good, but the future is here and the future of the WWF tag team division is the U.S. Express.

I might do a big post in the thread showing where the booking was headed (I had plans all the way through New Year Giant Series 1984 and ideas for the whole of 84) had I continued it. Shame I couldn't get the data transferred to the new game. Didn't want to keep booking/posting in the 2020 forum for a game that was going to continue beyond Summer Action Series in TEW 2016. :|

McMahon: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to another edition of WWF Wrestling Challenge - coming to you from Troy, New York this week! Another star-studded, action-packed card is on tap for everybody tonight as Andre the Giant finds himself in action against Cowboy Bob Orton in our main event!

Monsoon: The Giant got one over on Bobby Heenan and his Family two weeks ago on Wrestling Challenge and finds himself against an opponent not affiliated with Heenan. But, the question lingers... will The Family make their presence known tonight?

Ventura: And they say Heenan's presence is overstated in the World Wrestling Federation. Cowboy Bob Orton's not part of The Heenan Family and you're just certain he'll be involved. He's living in your head, Monsoon!

McMahon: Now, now, you two. As always, I'm joined by Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse 'The Body' Ventura and gentlemen, we've got ourselves a title match tonight as Wendi Richter defends the WWF Ladies' Championship against Leilani Kai.

Monsoon: Leilani Kai, a student of The Fabulous Moolah, is sure to provide a strong challenge against Richter tonight - but can she stop Richter's white-hot momentum?

McMahon: Certainly quite the matchup, but first, we head to the ring for our opening contest - Hillbilly Jim taking on David Schultz!

Ventura: All women and children avert your eyes, Dr. D's about to kill a man.

Schultz took advantage of some hesitation from Jim in the early portion of the match to inflict damage, but Jim, with the instruction of Hulk Hogan on the outside, was able to turn the tides of the match. Clearly, Jim had been practicing with the WWF Heavyweight Champion as he copped several moves from him at times in the match - not that Hogan minded anyway.

At this time, Brutus Beefcake and Luscious Johnny V made their way down from the back as Jim was setting up for a Big Boot on Schultz. Hogan clearly took offense to the two intruders as he was shouting towards them to leave the ringside area - prompting Jim to halt his attack to see what was going on. The distraction allowed Schultz to quickly roll up Jim for a very very close near fall. Hogan was able to stare down Beefcake and Valiant and send both to the back as Jim got his momentum back and hit a Big Boot and Atomic Leg Drop combo for the win.

Hillbilly Jim def. David Schultz in 8:49 by pinfall with an Atomic Legdrop.

    RATING: 52

McMahon: Perhaps that training with Hulk Hogan has paid off for Hillbilly Jim as he's victorious tonight over David Schultz!

Ventura: A fluke, I tell you. Schultz had the oaf there. If anything, this was a miscalculation by Brutus Beefcake and Johnny Valiant, Schultz had him until then!

McMahon: We're now head backstage as Gene Okerlund is standing by with the WWF World Tag Team Champions!

True to Vince's words, Mean Gene is standing in front of the classic WWF backdrop with The North-South Connection already in the shot.

Okerlund: I'm here with Adrian Adonis and Dick Murdoch, better known as The North-South Connection and even better known as the WWF World Tag Team Champions. Gentlemen, last week Captain Lou Albano laid out a challenge against you both on behalf of The U.S. Express. Have you given time to think about their challenge?

Murdoch: Gene, we don't need any time to think about it. Those two pretty boys think they have what it takes to step up to the plate? They think they have what it takes to stand toe-to-toe with the tag team champions of the world? They have another thing coming.

Adonis: Captain Lou Albano is a small man with a big mouth. If The U.S. Express think they can beat us? Let's see what they've got. They want to come for the WWF World Tag Team Championships at Saturday Night's Main Event? Well, they're on.

    RATING: 56

McMahon: A big night in Philadelphia gets even bigger as we're now to have three title matches on the card for Saturday Night's Main Event! Well, ladies and gentlemen, you're in for a treat now as we've got a title match set to take place up next with Wendi Richter defending the WWF Ladies' Championship against Leilani Kai!

Monsoon: Richter's been a plenty capable champion, but can she fend off The Fabulous Moolah's latest protege?

Ventura: Richter got lucky to begin with taking that WWF Ladies' Championship from Moolah. This'll be a breeze for Leilani Kai!

No decisive advantage was gained for either woman during the early stages of the match, but Kai was able to get in some cheap shots in the corner that soon turned the match in her favor. Richter realized she was in for trouble if she let her challenger string too much offense together as she capitalized with a boot out of the corner and a running dropkick for a near fall shortly after the eight-minute mark.

Kai backed Richter into a corner again as Moolah jumped up onto the apron and choked the cornered champion from behind. Whenever the referee got sight of Moolah's actions, she'd quickly break the hold as Kai would continue the beatdown. Richter was able to land some punches back in defense as Moolah took a swipe at the champion that was barely ducked - connecting with Kai instead! A forearm to Moolah sent her crashing down to the ringside area as Richter set up Kai for a Sitout DDT and planted her with it for the successful title defense.

Wendi Richter def. Leilani Kai in 9:39 by pinfall with a Sitout DDT.

After Richter left the ring in celebration, Moolah entered the ring to stand over her student. What looked to be the former champion consoling her protege quickly changed into Moolah dragging Kai to her feet by her hair. The ringside microphones were unable to pick up exactly what was being said, but the finger jabbed in Kai's face by Moolah seemed to indicate the teacher wasn't so pleased with her student coming up short tonight. Moolah fired off a slap at Kai that connected as Kai took a step back and was clearly fuming... all before stepping back forward and shoving Moolah to the mat! Kai began laying the boots in as Moolah quickly retreated to outside the ring and ran to the back.

    RATING: 56

Monsoon: Well, that took a turn.

McMahon: It appears master and student are on completely different pages now. Can that relationship be repaired?

Ventura: Clearly, Leilani Kai is a damn fool. Take your lumps, kid. Getting on the bad side of The Fabulous Moolah is sure to set you up for failure.

Andre the Giant vs. Cowboy Bob Orton

    7Ylu3HM.jpg?2sTE436G.pngFmmTmNI.jpg?1

Orton kicked the match off by trying to shoot in on Andre's legs and take him down that way, but Andre would merely knee away at his opponent to maintain some distance. Orton was able to use some agility to dodge Andre's slow-moving strikes as he changed his strategy up to taking the giant down from behind with a series of chop blocks. Andre was brought down to one knee at this point, and when Cowboy Bob charged for a clothesline, Andre threw down an overhead chop that connected - leaving Orton down.

Andre wasn't able to fully establish any sort of momentum in this one as Orton's experience always gave him a shot in the match. The smaller man would continuously find ways to slip out of Bodyslam attempts by the giant as he'd get in some offense from behind with a series of shots to the back and the knees.

    YUlgwiz.jpg?2

Big John Studd came down from the backstage area and made his presence known just after the timekeeper went past 10 minutes. After getting some more offense in, Andre finally got Orton up for a Bodyslam as Studd quickly made his way into the ring and drilled Andre across the back with a forearm. The referee quickly called for the bell as Studd was able to bring Andre down to a knee with his relentless attack.

Andre the Giant def. Cowboy Bob Orton in 12:54 by disqualification.

    RATING: 57

    **POST-MATCH**

    7Ylu3HM.jpg?2YUlgwiz.jpg?2

Studd continued his attack on Andre as he repeatedly drilled him in the back of the head to completely drop him to the mat. From there, Studd relentlessly continued with a barrage of stomps... but something else quickly got his attention...

    CTSuXhu.jpg?1

Hulk Hogan quickly made his way into the ring as Studd refused to retreat. Both men started to exchange blows as Hogan started to push Andre's attacker back and away from the downed giant. Just as Hogan whipped Studd off the ropes to set up for a Big Boot, Hogan found himself dropped to the ground by a new face to the ring...

    W6040tq.jpg?1

It wasn't his Saturday Night's Main Event opponent, but Roddy Piper! Piper dropped the WWF Heavyweight Champion with a steel pipe to the upper back as he stood over the downed champion while Studd went back to stomping away at Andre to close out the night's program.

    RATING: 92

McMahon: We need some help out here! Hogan and Andre are down! Hogan and Andre are down!

Monsoon: This is madness! Roddy Piper has nothing to do with anything going on out here! What does he want!?

Ventura: He's made his intentions known for weeks now, fellas. He wants the WWF Heavyweight Championship and he's not going to wait until after Saturday Night's Main Event to send a message!

McMahon: Folks, we're out of time for this week, but this certainly won't be the end of this saga! Now let's get somebody out here!

  19. <p>My take on EVIL's reign is he was kind of just there to fill time/gaps on the schedule. Have him go over Naito at Dominion, Naito's going to get a rematch and the title back in Jingu, then EVIL's going to get a rematch and bam, you've got three matches in one feud. Fills up the schedule with a limited roster without burning your big-name matchups (Naito v Okada, Naito v Ibushi, Naito v Tana.)</p><p> </p><p> Then again, you could've had Okada either win the G1 or challenge Naito in Jingu considering he was the previous champion.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="guyver3" data-cite="guyver3" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="40971" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I don’t see why they didn’t have Ibushi challenge for the IC title on night one since he lost the G1 briefcase he shouldn’t have still gotten the match for both titles. That could’ve split the titles and would’ve created a better story for night 2 with Naito and White going from semi main last year on night 1 for the IC title to main event of night 2 for the World title.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah, that was a headscratcher. Story-wise, it didn't make sense. "Yeah, you lost the right to challenge me, but, here's a shot anyway." Just put WK back to one night already.</p>
