Benoit was more a victim of timing and circumstance than anything else imo. What you pointed out above does hold some truth but that's more of an issue with WCW and a whole other discussion.

I'm not surprised he wasn't pushed so hard.

Nor am I, he deserved better.

 5.
Isn't it impossible to be a heel from the south whilst wearing a cowboy hat? If he lost that and replaced it with a Heyman like baseball cap and took on a Rich Man gimmick I think he'd be getting plenty of boos in no time.

The one guy I think should've been pushed hard as a heel was Benoit. He couldn't talk so give him a manager and push him like the rabid wolverine he is, only coming out of his cage to fight and rip guys a new one.

Even if we take some of the great players of the past such as Barkley, Drexler or more recently Garnett, they gave a good try in their own teams to try to win things before trying moving to a "ready made" team, late in their career to win titles. In this case we have 3 players in their prime.

Also i do not agree with what you said about Lebron not having the influence to bring stars to Cleveland, i am sure he could do that, in the end he simply "followed" someone elses plan, instead of creating his own.

Good luck to him, hope he screws up

I agree with this completely.

 8. I don't know that we found out he can't shoot. I think we found out that when the "Big 3" aren't delivering consistently they look to him for big plays and he fell short a few times, mind you whilst going up against one of the better defensive sides. He's still relatively young, a good mid range jumper probably won't be far off in his arsenal I think. And 24 assists
 9. On a few occasions I've said that to people after they've sneezed and they've looked at me like I'm a pyscho
 10. Cena is good because he trains and works as hard as he can. Orton is good because he's naturally gifted. That's the difference between the two and where alot of the hate for both comes from imo.
 11. You know this got me thinking, I do alot of workshops in business as part of my job. We often talk about "moving product from shelf" or "pull through". We tell our sales team that their job is to sell in the product and secure a good position on shelf. I convert that to wrestling and TNA's sales team have done a great job. They've signed all of these good well known brands (workers) and secured them on a platform everyone can access and see (their TV deal). Now in our business we say that if all of those things are done and the product still isn't selling it's usually for one reason.... marketing! The marketing team need to build that campaign and create excitement and awarness. Otherwise all of those previous things I mentioned are a waste, TNA could have all the stars in the World and even get a better TV deal but they will not see a turn around until their marketing department get a clue. Granted, the booking doesn't help
 12. I do exactly the same thing PPV's air live here in Oz around 10AM on a Monday so it's both a blessing and a curse.
 13. Same, is that a bad thing? I just saw NBA2K11 is announced, can't wait best basketball game I've ever played hands down!
 14. I can tell you that's not the case for the 5 or so (very long running) forums I visit. I won't say there's love for him but he's definitely not hated anymore and in fact defended when people do flame him. The "Russo Sux" was the IWC of 10 years ago, the one that dumped on everything he and WCW did, even the stuff he had nothing to do with. The IWC from the years I've been observing it seem to want to always stay ahead of the curve. As soon as too many people started hating on Cena they all got behind him and tried to school those who didn't with their own lil wrestling 101 (I don't hate or love the guy, I do however enjoy the passionate debates regarding him). IMO there's no better example then CM Punk, the guy was an internet darling for so long who could do nothing wrong. He signed with the WWE and all of a sudden he was "overrated" and boring, made me wonder how many people that jumped on either of those band wagons even knew who he was lol. Another one that comes to mind is Triple H, there was a few years there where he was the WWE's best performer and the IWC rode the Stephanie McMahon conspiracy hard attributing his position with the company to their relationship. 10 years later and he's half the worker he was back then and 40+ years old, now there actually is reason for a debate on how he's used and if his marriage has any influence and it's rarely had because the majority of the IWC has shifted to "Hunter is one of the greatest workers of all time don't be a smark". I don't want to get into my opinion over the matter, I'm using it as a funny example of how the IWC tends to change it's views regardless of reality The IWC to me is alot like the indy rock scene, everyone loves the next big thing but as soon as they become the next big thing it's kinda not cool to like them anymore because... well because they're not indy/underground anymore.
 15. No one said they liked him Mind you he did make an IWC face turn few months back
 16. WCW under Russo 95% of the audience has no clue what's going on and the other 5% still bitch.

 18. I agree with that but that's another discussion. Jordan at 25 years old hadn't won a ring and the Bulls had lost to the Pistions 3 years in a row in the Playoffs if my memories working. It's funny because it was the addition of Phil Jackson and a few others like BJ Armstrong that pushed that team into the status it now holds. Jordan was the best I've ever seen I agree but basketball is far from a one player game, Kobe has proved that in both good and bad situations. Obviously that kind of change wasn't coming to the Cavs and Lebron wanted out, he's still very young. I still think it's too early to call, in 2 or 3 years yes but not yet. He could very easily end up with more rings then most of those guys.
 19. I don't understand this line of thinking, I don't know one player who won any championships without having a great team around him. Maybe Olajuwan when Rockets won their first title is prob the closest I can think of, but mind you that bench went deep and constantly delivered. Jordan had close to the second best player in the league by his side and for their first run Horace Grant and second Rodman, both beasts on d and on the boards back then.
 20. Kobe is still the best player in the league, whether or not that's still true at years end is another story. Can't believe Lebron is going to Miami, I am officially interested in the NBA season again. Who do you guys think is the best rookie coming in? We don't get college ball or much coverage here I hardly know any of their names but want to watch out for a few the coming season. This made me lol http://livingelpaso.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/haters.jpg
 21. Good point, I love his ring attire especially and for a lucha that shows how good it is for it to stand out!
 22. Not sure that has anything to do with him wrestling a Lucha style though, imo he's that good of a worker he would've made a great addition to any promotion.
 23. You said in TEW terms that's why I commented... I'd say they both feature just as prominently in the WWE product at the moment. We'll have to disagree on that because imo the above is featured in WWE a fair bit, enough to set to Medium. Sorry I shouldn't be wasting space in the Dog Pound WWE thread discussing TEW product types. I leave you to your thread
