1.
I think you went a little bit too far balancing the indy darlings. I get that you think it's good to have people improve over time, but if the stats are too low to begin with it's pretty unrepresentative of wrestling at the time. Ring of Honor was full of some of the best talent in the world, and were putting on killer shows that still are talked about to this day. It's okay to have really good wrestlers on the indies.

Here's a list of wrestlers that I think could be buffed more...

Bryan Danielson could have his psych bumped up a lot to maybe like high C+ or low B-. Also, he was definitely a vanilla midget at the time, and only truly got his charisma over in the WWE like 6 years later. I think his charisma could be nerfed.

Samoa Joe was an amazing talent. Pysch, entertainment, brawling, mat skills could all be buffed a little. Also his face rating could use some tweaking upwards.

Why does Low Ki suck so much? The dude was so unique and vastly ahead of his time. He was one of the best workers in the world.

Christopher Daniels' stats are fair, but his entertainment skills are so low. He definitely has a lot of charisma.

Alex Shelley's stats are criminally bad.

Jeff Hardy's stats are just terrible.

Raven is legitimately one of the best minds in the business. I think his psych could be raised a lot.

AJ Styles was literally one of the best workers in the world at this time.

Why are the Dudley Boyz enhancement talents with E- popularity? My head exploded when I saw that.

I don't know. I know you clearly put a lot of work into this, but the balance is so whack. A ton of the workers in this mod feel the same. It's like that episode of The Simpsons where Homer becomes morbidly obese and learns that he could press Y all day. A ton of workers just have a wall of yellow Cs for their profile. I don't know if it's due to an unfamiliarity with the wrestlers, or what, but variety is the spice of life, man.

That said, there are some things that I like. I think the lack of companies and, from what I've seen, relationships, helps the mod. I don't know if it'll lead to a bunch of people being unemployed, but that may lead to the AI not being so weird. The mod definitely seems focused so far. The WWE seems to be working pretty well, but the indy balance is just way off.

How am I supposed to get out of local when this has happened?

It's based on popularity, and starts at F+ popularity. Size doesn't matter. The best thing you could do is just ride it out and not attempt to hotshot anything. Eventually your shows will just end up being better than theirs if you grow your roster well enough.

Also sometimes, if your rivals aren't located in the same region as you, they will not run shows there, and their popularity in the region will fall out of Regional Battle contention. Look for that too.

Or just turn them off...

It's just... nothing.

Don't worry about the midcard matches. Sure, in some cases it's good to have good grades (like for storyline heat, for example), but overall they don't affect the rating of a show at all. Midcards are supposed to suck.

 8. It's probably just nothing, and you're trying to look for a solution for nothing. Your shows are probably on the edge of B- and B. The one thing I could think of is maybe you're not running enough angles on your shows, but if that's the type of promotion you want to run then don't change it. It's just the way show ratings are determined. Lower match ratios with very high angle ratings will get a bump in show rating, while a show carried mostly on in-ring action will dip a little bit.
 9.

Recently been putting on shows that get consistent B and A segment ratings, including the main event being a B and top angle being A, but my shows are getting rated at B-. This has been happening for the past few weeks in game. Are there any penalties that get applied to shows that work independently of the ratings therein?

Does it not say anything at the end of the show? Low heat storylines, low production values, not having enough women on the show, and not meeting the requirements of match ratio will lower your show ratings. I think there may be a couple more, but at the end of the show it'll tell you.

 10. I personally think the divide on is the way to go. Booking matches with the roster being divided up is a more natural way of booking for me... pick one face, then book a heel. I hate just looking at a list of 40 workers. Turning people and getting momentum boosts gets you out of a jam, too. It kinda depends on what style wrestling you like, though.

A simplistic kind of match while the commentators are putting their storylines over instead of focusing on the in ring content. This is most TV matches in WWE with run ins and storyline advancement taking the place of "classic" matches.

That was the explanation I got when the game came out, I don't know if it's changed or if we have more information but I'm pretty sure that's what it looks like.

Yeah! That does make a little more sense.

 13.

What is the best way to incorporate "Storytelling" match aims into a card?

My concern it is is always penalized in the ratings because wrestlers are 'holding back'.

However, my product requires a storytelling match per card. My product also prioritizes performance over popularity. Performances that is dinged by holding back for a storytelling aim.

So basically, the fans are demanding matches they won't like. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

You're greatly overreacting to what Storytelling matches do. I'm running TCW in the Cornellverse and have no issues. Only one match on the card really matters, the main event, and the second best match sorta matters? You can do anything you want to in the undercard and it means almost nothing.

I think the term "Storytelling" for a match aim is way off. I read some guy on here sum it up perfectly when he said it was like Billy Gunn vs Ken Shamrock at KOTR 99, but I think that's a little too hard to grasp in a game without context.

Think of the match aim as like a mini calm the crowd. It pumps the brakes on the crowd, instead of slamming on the brakes.

A lot of the times I use the match aim as my match after the opener. But I have also used it as Storytelling/Co-Main/Main and it hasn't burnt the crowd out. I think you're really overthinking it. It's not that damaging to match ratings, or performance, and you could get by without putting any effort into it at all.

Failed turns are very rare.

Negative chemistry cannot change or improve. What you're remembering reading is that tag team experience eventually cancels out negative chemistry at, I think C-, which could take like 1 or 2 years to even get if I do the math. However, this is a little misleading since the tag team still gets dinged for low chemistry, meaning that had they had no/good chemistry the segments would be even better.

The penalty is pretty small.

By the way, if you're playing the mod that Lucas made, you should start your save over because Vince McMahon is set to be an exclusive authority figure and you can't book him in any matches, so I'm assuming that your Mania plans are not going to happen. Or you could just do what I did and duplicate Vince, change his stat to allow him to wrestle, import him into your game, sign him, change his contract to 10 years, and use the duplicate Vince in angles and matches from now on. Don't know why someone made the decision to not have him work matches, but there you go.

 22. I think only at a certain point this is true in real life. The WWF at its height in 2000 ran some smaller venues, and the Georgia Dome, but mostly it was the same sized arenas for all their Raws and PPVs. But in TEW the separation between 20,000 and 40,000 events isn't too far off.
