Has really nothing to do with them winning.

(Unless I've missed something in this game that I've never noticed before, but I think that's unlikely because I have ETs beat midcarders all the damn time.)

I had to import "Vince MacMahon" into my game when Vince McMahon couldn't wrestle a match in the database. Worked out great.

Thus far looking through the editor I've found no way in 2016 to force him to re-sign or generate a contract with me but I recall being able to do that 2013. You don't have to manage every single teeny detail of the game. Every fighter isn't going to have the same type of career game after game.

 14. I kind of treated it as a title that I put on the guys that I start the show with-- the people in Work The Crowd matches that start the show off hot. I liked doing that because the midcard is so open, and contenders aren't in a small division like the tag titles or the Women's title or have to be popular enough to challenge for the main title. So I could have a title being defended on TV instead of burning matches for those other titles.

In 2010 the combination of Dan Stone Jr., Dark Angel, Jeremy Stone, Johnny Bloodstone, Sean McFly, and Steve DeColt is super strong.

I tried playing NOTBPW and noticed when signing guys most available talent has a lot higher popularity in the USA compared to Canada. NOTBPW in the beginning definitely puts on the best shows worldwide, and I'm surprised the default data never mentions how strong their shows are.

Yeah the 2010 roster is pretty amazing. In the 2016 database, it really depends on your destiny roll for time decline, as most saves. The top of the roster is pretty old. Also, it is really hard to keep your stars. My save is two years and Vessey, McFly, Love, Natural, Tim, and Bloodstone are all gone. It's really hard seeing these guys with like B+ popularity in Canada, E popularity in America, and never being on SWF and USPW shows. The only people I've managed to keep or sign are Aaron Andrews, DeColt, and Cavanagh.

A few game years later, I'm High Level National and finding a lot of the fighters I used to get to this point are now "suited for the prelims" and I desperately need some star power

It's pretty much impossible to play this game where nearly your entire roster isn't "suited to the prelims." As long as your main event and, to a lesser degree, co-main event are good, it seriously does not matter.

You can also have champions even "suited to the prelims" and, through momentum and title prestige, would be fine for main events.

 18. If you're making a comfortable profit at Cult, is there any real reason to move up to National?

Say if I update a mod's database to the latest version. Do the changes show up in a save? Put the Match Ratio to 90 or 100%.

There's tons of different Product combinations if you want to get into that. It's really intuitive.

It's mostly based on the perception of a fighter-- popularity and reputation (ranking) mostly... Skill is factored in, too, but it's fairly limited.

The betting line is best used as a way of judging where the fans perceive the fighters in the ladder.

The best way to build young unknown fighters is by putting them in favorable matchups.

Very sure it changes from game to game, too. It's encouraged to use trial and error.

Edit: But it's not like an average midcard worker will have a 20 minute match length. It scales by push and skill and stuff like that.

 23. I decided to start my first NOTBPW game and after a rough start and wanting to quit the save, I am really enjoying it. I'm in October 2016 right now. It took me a little while to understand how to book, but I have gotten used to the idea of leaving people off shows, and 4 ways and multi-person tags have helped out a lot. After booking TCW and SWF for so long, I had to completely change my ordinary show format and focus on the in-ring product more.
