1. Um... they literally can't put a RW mod in the game. Do you really think they avoided putting real wrestlers in the game for 16 years?
 2. My heart says SWF but my brain is saying TCW. I have always liked SWF's characters, but TCW leaves a lot of its booking to the user's interpretation and we can go in and out of it each game.
 3. At this time I'm getting a little worried that the rest of the journal is just going to be how it's been for the past few months of "Testing's going good... Yep..." Where has the hype for this game gone? Adam's been incommunicado about the features of this game for a long, long time. I need some excitement in my life about TEW. Can there be some deeper explanation about the top features of this game, or something? Anything?
 4. Series finales of Friends, Seinfeld, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones....
 5.

Is there someone who's close to Conner. McGregor in the default data?

What exactly do you mean?

 6. Probably the one where I played for a year in-game and lost interest.
 7. Hope all the bugs are fixed, and all the missing features and UI elements are put back in.

The game has been out for years and even the most experienced players that know every detail about the game don't know how these match aims work, and Adam has never told us how to use them, and the common suggestion is that it's in your best interest to not use them at all.

 9. It's really different every game, for most fighters. I've had games where Jericho Stewart sucks butt.
 10. The main purpose of a B-Show is to give people "reps" so to speak. They don't gain company popularity, and barely give the workers popularity increases. Their main usage is to use the unused workers, and to help improve stats.
 11.
I may have criticized this mod before, I don't remember, but I've been poking through this mod for the past day or so, and this is such a beautifully put together mod. As far as stats and popularity, it's pretty cynical. But it's so consistently cynical that it's unlike every mod out there. I haven't started a game yet, but I would imagine that it's super rewarding getting good grades, and seeing the workers grow.

I also LOVE the picture pack.

 12. The mask mechanic in the game mainly works for luchadores who have an hidden identity, so having "masks" for American workers, especially for a worker that you already know, doesn't mean much of anything.

Does the loading screen layout change? Do attributes have to bet set completely new or will it convert the old data and set them automatically? and so on...

Just want to get an overview of what needs to be done.

You could skim/speed read the entire dev journal in about 10-15 minutes. There's a link to each post of the journal on the first page of the thread.

 15. Yeah I am not sure how fiddling with drop down menus is different than choosing from anywhere between 50 to 60+ pre-built products. Not like products in the game mattered THAT much, to a degree, but I think the pros and cons of each product should be super transparent and easy to use. There needs to be a filter, too. If we have to look at a giant page of products, kill me.
 16. One thing I think is lost in a lot of real world mods is that it seriously does not need to be so in-depth. Just do the bare minimum for it to be playable and represent the world. The amount of broadcasters in these mods can be outrageous, and the amount of relationships can be very head-scratching. Most of the relationships in mods are based on very minor rumors, most of which I have no idea the origins of, and I think I know wrestling history and rumors pretty well. If it doesn't TRULY affect the game world, like Vince vs Bret, for example, it shouldn't be in the mod. I could live without a mod where Kid Kash hates Jeff Jarrett. Part of the fun of the real world mods is seeing all the whacky stuff that happens regarding relationships, and I think it loses the appeal when everyone already has tons of them.
 17. I am super disappointed with this latest journal entry. In terms of describing how characters are moved and updated, it felt pretty relaxed and brushed aside, in a "No big deal" type of way. The Cornellverse is in desperate need of a massive retooling, dumping practically every top level TEW 2004 character and bringing new life to the database. The database in TEW 2016 is boring as hell, because most of the top stars are old. I love the Cornellverse's characters, but there has got to be some forward progression here. I don't think moving people around will really work for me this time, and it's a major issue because I haven't really played any other database but the C-Verse since 2004.
 18. I don't blame Adam for doing it because it SOUNDS like a good idea in the mechanics of TEW, but it just made every game feel the same.
 19.

But there is no true way to game the system. That is what is fun about the game, the player decides how they want to approach the game. I never get when people act like a purist and say there is only one way to play the game and that is it.

But the guy hired Marat simply to take advantage of a game mechanic that most people would argue doesn't properly represent reality and is kind of a miss of a feature in the game. This argument would work if every single promotion specific thread on the forum didn't say "Just hire Marat to win the National Battle..." The guy clearly didn't hire him because he had some vision for his game and wanted the challenge of putting a talentless hoss in a workrate company. He hired him because it's common knowledge to hire Marat to win National battles.

He also didn't partner with TCW because he wanted a game where he could book a bunch of dream matches. He did it because he was told to in this thread.

If he would just book his actual vision of the promotion, he would have a lot more fun.

 20.
Enough with gaming the system. Hiring Marat and just using TCW's talent is a super lame move. Marat has no place in the company, and you I know you feel dirty for doing that.

Start the save over and play properly. You're going to lose National Battle. Who cares? You can put on good shows to keep up anyway. The key to playing NOTBPW is booking properly and making new stars. When I was playing the company, like all my stars left the company except for a select few. This will save you money in the long run. And then just by playing the game you'll gain popularity and eventually turn a profit. You have 10 million dollars to start. You're not going to go out of business. Stop hotshotting a bunch of dumb things and play the company how it is meant to be played, an old school traditional workrate company.
