1. I'd rather pay extra to buy it on Steam and have automatic patches than the clown fiesta of e-licence DRM and manual updates like now.
2. TEW2016: With creativity, intelligence and humour. TEW2020: I just try to avoid penalties.
3. I'd just like to say a big thank you to everybody who mods this forum and has been working hard to delete criticism of TEW2020. Locking negative threads and letting positive ones rise to the top of the page has helped me see the good side and has hidden problems from my view. I think this is a nice way into lure people into buying the game. I'll be buying on day 1 (whenever that is).
4. Let's say you're on the website/news page (or "main screen" as TEW2020 calls it). You want to go to your roster. The old way was to click your company screen, then click your roster. That's two clicks. The bottom bar way is to scroll to your company screen using the arrows, then click your roster. If your bottom bar is already on your company screen, congratulations, you saved one click. If your bottom bar is on the rival companies or player profile screen, it's two clicks to get to your own roster, same as the old non-bar way. If your bottom bar is on the characters screen, it's three clicks, which is one MORE than the old non-bar way. This hideous, useless thing is cluttering my screen for the sake of saving one single click (at best)? At a time when I have to click to scroll through menus instead of using my mousewheel, we're pretending this game cares about saving you one click? And if you're one of the people who DOES have the bottom bar constantly as your company screen, if you ever actually click to the real company screen to access options that aren't on the bottom bar (such as "Quick Diary" "Resign" etc) then you have the exact same buttons on your main screen and your bottom bar. It looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/YuwRNCj Is there another game menu in the world with that many redundant buttons?
5. I play as the owner of the company I'm using. If I don't want to commit to a particular company (or plan on starting my own later) then Grand Avatar.
6. Now that we have an abundance of new renders in TEW2020, can somebody who knows about 97 and 16 tell me which pictures are duplicates so I can replace the dupes with some of the new spares?
7.
lol what were the beta testers doing?

Bring this back.

8. I haven't seen a single person who likes this yellow change.

11. The bar at the bottom that lets me skip to the company screen, player profile, wrestler list, etc. is both ugly and pointless. At most it saves one click (if it happens to already be on the screen you want to move to) but it mainly just makes the UI look cluttered. Having a bigger resolution for the game is fine but that bar is wasted space. I would like to have the option of disabling or removing it. I'd like to have more background there, or pictures of kittens, or whatever. I just want rid of it.

13. Try using the autobooker and you'll see how fallible the AI is. Every match and segment will get a penalty.
14. You don't know what you're talking about. Sakura Hirota vs Aiger in TEW2020 would be heavily penalised and the crowd would dump on it. That doesn't happen in real life. They are completely accepted based on their ability to do the comedy style. They don't get a bonus or a penalty for it irl. The crowd don't boo, they aren't silent, they react to that comedy match in the appropriate way. Your argument is good workers can power through the penalties or the penalties won't significantly affect the overall show rating. However, those penalties will discourage people from accurately simulating real wrestling companies and were only added because Adam Ryland is an inept, control freak developer who knows nothing about wrestling outside of WWE. The penalties make no sense and shouldn't exist.
15. I was told to come here because I posted this in a different thread: Frankly the current state of products are so bad that they'd have to make them a great deal more customisable and sandboxy to make me change from TEW2016.
16. If this whole episode has shown one thing, it's that Ryland doesn't listen. We obviously want as much customisation as possible yet year after year we get new handcuffs in the form of products, gimmicks, and match aims. Aside from the previously cited example of FMW which you have ignored, I also present the example of Sendai Girls - very serious, stiff and athletic main events, combined with undercard goofball comedy with Sakura Hirota and Aiger. The current products would punish me for trying to attempt something like that in this "simulator."
17. You may not hire anyone. You may not fire anyone. You may not change the product Ever notice how no matter which promotion you play as, they all end up feeling the same? Playing the companies as they are helps to freshen things up. By not replacing the regulars with your favourite indy goons you'll have to make stars of the workers already there, you'll find new dependable in-ring workers, and people you never knew will become the bedrock of your company. (If you are suffering with small roster penalties or don't have enough referees etc, you may hire more people. You may NOT fire people for causing trouble in the locker room.)
18. I used the auto-booker to book a show. Every segment and match got a penality. It doesn't take into account the new product settings at all.
19. Do you have a timetable for an official release? I can't play the game without this skin.

21. Having a column like that specifically for title defences is how it should've looked all along.
22. The thing that most interests me about TEW2020 are the updates to the Cornellverse. However they're locked inside a game that (so far) I've found counterintuitive, restrictive and unpolished. I believe the best way to solve these issues is to simply transfer the TEW2020 data into TEW2016. The database will still begin where TEW2016 begins but I'll use the narrative system to kill/create companies at the appropriate time, debut new workers, and basically have everything play out in TEW2016's world, including everything that happened before the TEW2020 database begins and everything that happens in TEW2020 itself. I'm expecting this to be a lot of work but I'm patient, have free time (don't we all) and I'm fine with doing it the old fashioned way - character by character, line by line.
