[B]Idol [/B]vs. Funaki Anyone verses Funaki will always win, it's WWE rule number 45....rule 46 is any mystery opponent is Kane. [B]Dave Taylor[/B] vs. Rey Mysterio Yes Dave Taylor for 1 simple reason....everyone else went for Rey, so if the unthinkable happens and a fellow Brit wins I get the point. Plus can see someone interferring and attacking Rey (assuming Chavo/Rey story carries on here for a bit). Chris Masters vs. [B]Kane[/B] Kane wins, Chris Master loses, The arena fans go pee. [B]Cole:[/B] Now, let's start things off with the debut of Idol Stevens, an exciting young prospect out of Reno, Nevada, as he takes on Funaki. [I]The lights turn off and a microphone descends from the rafters.[/I] [B]Kennedy:[/B] Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the main attraction of the evening. I weigh in at two hundred and fourty seven pounds; I stand at six feet and two inches and hail from GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN! [I]pause.[/I] [B]Kennedy:[/B] MISTER KENNEDY... [I]pause.[/I] [I]a further pause.[/I] [I]still...[/I] [I]...and still[/I] [B]Kennedy:[/B] ... [I]still pausing.[/I] [B]Kennedy:[/B] ... KENNEDY! [I]He clears his throat.[/I] [B]Kennedy:[/B] On Sunday night, The Sandman scored a fluke victory over Mister Kennedy, forcing him to leave the promise land that is Monday night Raw and, so it appears, I have been relegated to the minor leagues. [I]The crowd boos.[/I] [B]Kennedy:[/B] I have been relegated to Smackdown! [B]Cole:[/B] Something tells me that he's not going to win any friends around here. [B]Kennedy:[/B] However, this does mean that I can put my uncharacteristic run of poor performance behind me and... [B]Cole:[/B] Maybe he wants to stick up for Smackdown. [I]Eugene makes his way to the ring with a microphone.[/I] [B]Eugene:[/B] You're Mister Kennedy! [I]He claps his hands.[/I] [B]Eugene:[/B] I love your entrance. It would be like me... EUGENE... [I]Eugene pauses. He claps his hands again.[/I] [B]Eugene:[/B] ...EUGENE! [I]Kennedy clearly takes this as an insult and proceeds to assault Eugene.[/I] [B]Cole:[/B] Oh, come on, this is completely uncalled for! [B]JBL:[/B] You shouldn't mock Mister Kennedy, Cole. [B]Cole:[/B] He wasn't mocking him. I think Eugene is a fan. And this is how he gets treated... [CENTER][I]Suddenly a second round of music hits.[/I] [/CENTER] [I]Kennedy stops and stares in amazement as Paul Burchill runs down the steps in the crowd with a rope dangling from the rafters in his hands. The buccaneer then swings, from the rope, down the steps and over the steel guardrail as the fans erupt.[/I] [B]Cole:[/B] It's paul Burchill! We haven't seen him since he was injured at the hands of Mark Henry over a year ago! [B]JBL:[/B] Okay, fine... why the hell is he here? [I]After dropping the rope, Burchill pulls what looks like a bomb from his captain's jacket pocket and throws it into the ring. It explodes in a puff of smoke, blinding Kennedy. Burchill then rolls into the ring and draws his sword.[/I] [B]JBL:[/B] Oh, come on, what's he gonna dio with that? [I]As if to answer the question, Burchill pushes Kennedy against the ropes and puts the sword to his throat. He then motions for Eugen to hand him a microphone.[/I] [B]Burchill:[/B] Avast, ye, matey! Is that the way you'll be treating a fan? [I]Burchill takes the sword away and steps back. Kennedy pulls himself together but only to be shoved back against the rope.[/I] [B]Burchill:[/B] I won't be letting you off that easy, oh no! Consider yourself in a match tonight, wherein I'll see you off to Davey Jones. [I]With that said, Burchill proceeds to march Kennedy along the aisle-way to the back using the point of his sword. Dave Taylor puts on a competent technician's performance with psychology to boot. However, the returning Rey-Rey can hardly lose, can he? No, he picks up the win with the West Coast Pop in the ninth minute. Aside from a small comeback in the fifth minute, the Green Bay native seems off his game. Burchill makes him Walk The Plank and finishes with a Standing Moonsault for the pin. As Finlay backs away, Triple H throws the weapon from the ring. Finlay seizes the monet... No, Pedigree! 1...2...3! No mention of the World Champion? :p Other than a few major players like Batista and MVP missing from the scene, it was a nice show. I loved the Kennedy/Burchill promo, though to be honest I'm hoping that Kennedy isn't stuck in the midcard for too long. Also, Triple H signing with SmackDown would be a perfect way to shine some light on the roster, Raw can survive with Cena, Orton, Carlito and Lashley when he returns (if you've edited the injury into the game, that is) in the main event scene.

They won't necessarily be appearing much less but they won't dominate the show as they often have. As for Kenedy, dunno, he may or may not be getting pushed soon. Good edition of Smackdown. I was especially pleased to see Paul Burchill make a return (if only the real WWE would give him a break) and undoing the Kennedy trade to RAW should address the balance of SD's weak roster somewhat. I was a little disappointed not to see Batista involved at all, especially with HHH on the show, but if he gets signed up to the blue brand, then there's a readymade storyline sitting there and good to go anyway.
