Apparently [B]Ken Patera[/B] didn't take to kindly to the 'message' sent to him when I won the AWA International strap on my last show. He had a HUGE blowup with [B]Jerry Jarrett[/B] and [B]Dutch Mantell[/B], and as a result Ken won the vacant [B]AWA International[/B] title (his seventh run with the title), defeating AWA Southern Heavyweight champion [B]Ivan Putski[/B] in front of 142 fans on 'CWA at the Mid-South Coliseum'. This pissed Steve off -- he felt that he deserved a program around the International strap -- and as his contract was coming due, [B]Steve decided that if he wasn't going to be in the International picture, he was going to leave, which[/B] [B]broke up The Fabulous Ones and vacated the Southern Tag Team titles[/B] (AGAIN)! On top of which, at the same show Patera got his International title back, the [B]CWA Mid-America Heavyweight[/B] title was hotshotted back to [B]Rick Rude[/B], allowing [B]Troy Graham[/B] no defenses and giving Rude his 12th run with the Mid-America belt. Soon after that debacle, [B]Dutch Mantell walked away from CWA[/B] leaving the CWA book in [B]Jerry Lawler's[/B] hands.
