In fact, come to think of it... damn that film. I went through the first fourteen years of my life thinking there was an odourless, poisonous plant extract from Australia called iocaine. Bloody Rob Reiner... Quote The Raven Nevermore
You need to read the book now. And then place blame where blame deserves.
Don't even think about it. Where do you reckon the Nathaniel Hawk gimmick is going? Pit Bull Brown vs. Nathaniel Hawk Jeffery McPeterson vs. Thug The Gauge Brothersvs. Töngues -N- Pansiës DJ Treasonvs. Eddie Cornell Johnathan Faustvs. Adam Matravers Mostly going off of perceived overness in the North -- though it seems weird to put TnP over the Guage boys. I also don't see you moving the title off Matravers nearly as fast as your last two champs, I get the feeling you were angling for Matravers to have it the whole time and set up a two-part transitional reign with Wood/Kohklov to get it on him. I am very much looking forward to Jeff McPeterson/Adam Matravers for the title a few shows down the road....

I've never given the UK scene in the C-Verse much time when playing (possibly because the best Brits have all been exported to the US), but having just thread through some of this, I'm feeling inspired to jump into a game, which I think is always a sign of a good dynasty. "The Dread Pirate" Nathaniel Hawk, somewhat Beeker inspired?

Unless, of course, you mean he looks like Beeker from the muppets and, if so, I couldn't agree more :D. The character hasn't taken full shape yet but it'll probably be equally inspired by Carey Elwes' portrayal of the man in black and Pirate Paul Burchill. When he debuted on Smackdown and just walked past William Regal in full pirate ensemble, I laughed so hard... "Oh... hello." Quote The Raven Nevermore
Nevermore, Does this Warrior does not have creative control anymore?
Can now answer this question fully as I was just tracking the progress of everyone on the roster's overness. The Highland Warrior's loss to Khoklov pushed his popularity down to a D (rather than his startting D+). Therefore, I'm assuming that Jeff McPeterson (also in the D range) was slightly higher in overness than Warrior, allowing him to get the victory without Warrior claiming creative control. Then, their match must have been a high rated D+ because Warrior's overness went back up to a D+ despite losing to McPeterson. Hope that haelps if you're running an MoSC game ;). • 4 weeks later...
A couple of quick questions. Basically, I would like to know if people would have a problem with me making a minor few tweeks in the editor.

WEXXV went out of business in October 2008 and I wondered if people would thing it crap for me to set up another garbage promotion for Ru Kajahara to run out of Japan using the editor. Basically, I'd just like to be able to bring over the occassional Japanese mentalist on trade to keep the hardcore aura of MoSC strong.
There are a few guys who I'd quite like to make active in the UK and wondered if people would have a problem with this. I am not talking about Cornell, the DeColts or Sean McFly here... far from it. However, there are some guys with limited skills and, actually, sod all overness in the UK that I think would be fun/useful to include. For example, the Chaos Demons have both been out of work (only doing independent shows since WEXXV went under) and unemployed guys like them and Madman Boone seem like guys who might say "Screw it, I wouldn't mind wrestling some shows for MoSC" since they're not working elsewhere and there aren't any other overtly hardcore-based promotions in the gameworld.
I ask this because, whilst I obviously write this as personal entertainment to a large extent, I also feel its been quite fun and inclusive so far. So, I just wanted to get some opinions. In another news, Grapples and Lochs should be up soon :). Quote The Raven Nevermore

I for one have no problem with that- I've done the occasional bit of editing in my NYCW game to keep myself interested, and adding some minor hardcore workers to the area makes sense. As you say, when there's only one game in town for the hardcore specialists they're gonna go there.

Do it. Open up Exodus-FB or something. Making unemployed workers available in an area like the UK (with a dearth of talent of ANY level of quality) isn't an issue for me. There are a TON of workers in North America that I think would work awesome in MOSC's product and with the feel of its shows. I mean really, if Highland Warrior is main eventing (or was), anyone can. :p

Monday, week 1, February Live in front of 300 fans at the SOLD OUT "Phoneix Nights" Men's Working Club
Manny: Hello wrestling fans. It is, once more, my esteemed pleasure to welcome you to the sold out combat zone, home of gratuitously violent wrestling and needlessly hairy men. Pag: ...and drop-out, stoner champions. Manny: Bitter about Matravers' victory are we? Pag: Yes we are. Turncoat little prick. Manny: Well, he beat a 7-foot, 450-pounder... you can hardly argue with that. Pag: I can and will. Manny: You really are a child. Pag: Just 'cos I don't have a receeding hairline? Manny: That's below the belt. Pitbull Brown starts off the match with one of his trademark punching combos. Pag: Well this one should be pretty cut and dry. However, as he goesto land a final haymaker, Nathaniel Hawk grabs his fist and throws him over his shoulder with a judo-esque takedown. He follows up with some grounded strikes and a Springboard Elbow Drop. Manny: You were saying? From here, "The Dread Pirate" controls the match rather effectively. In the seventh minute, he drags Brown up the turnbuckle and hits the Skull and Crossbones (an impressive looking top-rope Crucifix Powerbomb). 1...2...3! Match Rating: C- After the match, Hawk picks up a microphone. Hawk: Goodnight, Pitbull. Good fight; sleep well. I'll most likely kill you in our next match. "The Dread Pirate" drops the mic after the single line but the least-smart-smart-marks in the world go crazy for the reference. Pag: Well, that naval nancy may have scored a fluke but I can guarantee Jeff McPeterson will wipe the floor with Thug. Manny: Are you forgetting Thug is one of the toughest bastards in the industry? Pag: Are you forgetting he's northern. Manny: So? Pag: So, Northerners can't fight. Manny: Says who? Pag: Says me. Look at the Jacobite Rebellion. Manny: They were Scottish! Pag: Exactly... pansy bastards! Manny: But Jeff McPeterson is Scottish! There is a slight pause. Pag: ...shut up. Thug comes out swinging. He clearly wants to dish out some punishment on behalf of the injured Highland Warrior. However, after a few stiff shots, McPeterson stalls the biker's momentum with a lowblow. The young Scot ducks out to ringside to grab a chair and re-enters. Manny: Typical Alliance tactics... Pag: This is supposed to be the home of no-holds-barred wrestling, isn't it? Manny: Yeah... but that's just gay. Pag: He punched his balls; he didn't grab them! Wait for Tongues -N- Pansies. That'll be gay! With Thug still in agony from the Scot's cheap shot, McPeterson takes full control using the steel chair. After only five minutes, he hits the Scottish Pancake for the fall. Florence rolls her eyes. Florence: Gimme some of that. Matravers passes Florence a conical-shaped roll-up cigarrette and she takes a drag. Florence: Christ, what's in that?! Matravers: Columbia's national reserve. Florence: Fairplay. Now, what are your thoughts on Johnathan Faust? Matravers: Who? Florence: Y'know... your opponent. He looks like a Marx brother in a cheap nun's habit. Matravers: He's my opponent?! I saw him sitting outside the arena and gave him my spare change... Florence: Any thoughts on his in-ring abilities? Matravers: I mean, share the love and all but I gave him nearly three quid! Florence: So, you're not worried. Matravers: Dude... Adam Matravers never worries! Phoebe: Look... last month Adam beat the 7-foot monster, Giant Khoklov. Matravers giggles again. Matravers: KHOKLOV! PRICELESS! Phoebe: He proved himself as one of the finest wrestlers in the UK and tonight, with the Mile High Club cheering him on, Faust should pose problem. Florence: Back to you, Manny. However, in the fifth minute, Roxxxy Von Tingle slides in and cracks a guitar over Greg Gauge's head. Rockin' J and Rollin' Johnny pick up Greg and bend him over. J starts dry humping his head as Johnny does the same to his backside. Manny: It's the Double Penetration! Pag: I told you! This is gayer than a game of "hide the sausage" at Michael Barrymore's house. As Tongues -N- Pansies release Gauge, he goes tumbling backwards in the most random and ridiculous display of selling ever seen. Rollin' Johnny follows up with a Nutbuster on Greg... ...as Rockin' J hits the C*ck Rocker on Matt. However, the tag team champions slide in with their titles. They nail a glam-rocker each with their gold and drag the Gauge boys over J and Johnny. 1...2...3! So, we need to find the new owner. We'd have interrogated your worthless father but that's not exactly possible thanks to your tremendous efforts last month. McPeterson smiles. Steamroller: So, do you know if your dad's bought the company back. McPeterson: Nah... I'm sure he hasn't. I'd know if he had. Steamroller: Sh*t. Although... McPeterson: What? Steamroller: There's surely only one person left to ask... "Good Vibrations" by Marky Mark blares out of the ghetto blaster. However, Cornell jumps Treason before the DJ eeven makes it to the ring, breaking the tape deck over his head. From this moment, Cornell goes on to control the match. If the result was ever in doubt, the original DJ runs out in the eighth minute. He cracks a chair over Treason's head and leaves Cornell to make the pin. Match Rating: C- Manny: Oh, well... even if you can't win, at least you're a professional outfit with no in-fighting. Pag: Oh, f**k off. Manny: Witty. The two men combine for a decent main event. However, it is not as spectacular as last month's cage match. Johnathan Faust proves himself to be a worthy adversary but Matravers maintains a degree of control throughout. In the tenth minute, the fans start up a chant directed at Phoebe Plumbridge. "SHOW YOUR TITS! SHOW YOUR TITS!" She smiles and begins to lift her top. However, Faust grabs his ring jacket, slides outside and covers her up. "BOOOOOO!" Manny: Who the hell is he to cover up Adam Matravers' girlfriend? Pag: He's just trying to instill some moral decorum into this sespool! However, Faust taking his mind off the champion proves costly. He is spun around for a Matrava-canrana... The champion climbs onto the apron and hits a makeshift Mile High Moonsault to the outside. 1...2...3! Match Rating: C+ As Matravers celebrates, The Steamroller appears at the entrance-way. Steamroller: Bravo, Adam. Bravo. However, I feel I must warn you that Mister Nova is not just concerned with buying this place out. He also wants that belt back in the hands of a respectable champion and, since the Russian Giant couldn't do his job last month, we're bringing in someone with a proven track record. Manny: What does that mean? Pag: Shut up and we may find out! Steamroller: ...a man who has beaten you twice before in Japan. None other than... HELL MONKEY! Pag: Yeah! Well, Grapples & Lochs went as planned: solid but unspectacular compared to recent efforts. I was just happy with the fact that we were putting on such good shows whilst still making a small profit each month. Plus... we now had Hell Monkey coming in on a talent trade and, despite it costing an arm and a leg, it would hopefully be worth it to help get some talent over. However, the talent scene wasn't all good news, I discovered, when I was approached for a private chat.

3 things, and predictions. YES! The Dread Pirate ... new favoritest wrestler in the history of ever! :D The new Mile High, albeit lighter than before ... awesome. Although being a single male member of the mile high club makes me a tad uneasy. lol Noooooo! Larry, you can't leave us! Who will give us wood now? :( DJ Reason vs. DJ Treason This one is a no brainer. Treason respects my musical handouts, even if the fans scoff at me. Treason grooves to my funky beats, and Reason won't slow down long enough to listen. Treason wins, Reason jumps. The Ivanoff Brothers vs. The UK Wrecking Crew I think this match gives the Crew a newfound credibility aiming for the gold. Tn'P will be champs, but they're still green as a team (prolly hanging out with Mile High too much. :p) so the champs can layover beating down Thug and Bruiser again. Greg Gauge vs. Daniel Black Francis Welcome to the Combat Zone, DBF. With the loss of his brother, Greg now has a chance to climb the ladder of success on his own. Having shown flashes of brilliance, the dreadlocked Francis will be the first domino to fall in Gauge's new ascension. Jeff McPeterson vs. Larry "Got" Wood Part of me is really tempted to side with the savage Canadian. It seems a proper send off. But in the end, the best for all of MoSC is for the younger McPeterson to have his hand raised. And after a hard fought victory, we all rise and salute the feral Woodman for all he's done for us. Hell Monkey vs. Adam Matravers(c) Who cares about the match?
