WWE Wellness Policy

Meh won't last, his physique got him by in his original stint which like him or not his physique was impressive, then he got busted by the policy, came back and looked a lot smaller, then was gone again, now he's back? unless he has been working on his actual in ring ability i dont see him being a long time star

Do they even really need him to be though? Masters could be a good guy to stick on ECW and use to elevate some of the young talent there. What's going to make a Tyson Kidd or a DJ Gabriel look more impressive? Winning a feud against the other guy or winning a feud with a guy who's been around the WWE block like Masters? Then again, if the E's braintrust got that concept, the Chuck Palumbo/Kenny Dykstra feud would have worked out better and been less random.

I liked Masters... they actually tried to make him look like a star instead of a potential jobber for life and they actually put over his finishing move as something to be feared. He was booked in a very simple manner and I thought it worked very well in an old school way. I always said that once they gave him the fishermens suplex as an alternate finisher that he'd be on his way to stardom. :)

You know, I wasn't all that big of fan of Masters last time. He struck me as rather a dull personality and the Masterpiece name didn't seem to suit him at all. He always struck me as an empty vessel. I do agree with Derek that he was booked in rather an old-school fashion and that did help make him tolerable at least. But it was always better using him in SvR 2006 than watching the real Masters.

These pictures do seem to suggest that he still looks really good for a wrestler and if his skills have boosted like has been suggested maybe he can be a guy who's more than just fun to Royal Rumble with in video games. I sorta look forward to seeing him again. Will be interesting to see what he can bring to the table.

I always thought he had something about him. I liked the way they pushed him but he was a wellness incident waiting to happen. I imagine he is off the stuff now because I doubt the E would sign someone who was so clearly juicing before.

As for his in ring, it was always so so, but I do fondly remember his match with Shawn Michaels. Sure, Michaels can make anyone look good, but I thought Masters did a good job of looking good himself. It didn't look like Michaels was carrying him as much as some of his matches can do, Masters genuinely looked like he had potential in that match. I'd suggest more so than when Orton had his 2003 (I think) match with Michaels where he was clearly being carried.
