Hyde Hill Posted July 26, 2009 Share Posted July 26, 2009 Pro Wrestling Insider reports that TNA have now officially signed a deal with playboy for their women workers to appear in the magazine. Personally I like this development as long as they focus on the wrestling in the matches and keep bringing in good female wrestlers who look hot at the same time. And for pure eye candy the heel foils and valets/ring girls. Can't wait for Velvet and So Cal. This will also mean some good mainstream exposure and guess some money as well. What are your thoughts? Whether people admit it or not, there's not a single women's athlete that has posed for Playboy and actually continued to be notable. Amanda Beard? How'd those 2008 Olympics go? Although, it could be a good thing for Lisa Varon (and Jackie), given her age relative to her co-workers (ego boost and sending a cultural message). This could be a very good opportunity for TNA though. Their name though, will lead to many people discounting them and their Knockouts. ("TNA Wrestling har har, get it? T&A Wrestling") The very definition of double-edged sword. tjb, Playboy is as much porn as TNA is. Playboy != Hustler or even Penthouse. It's so tame, they might as well wear clothes. I knew who Betty Page was before my 10th birthday ffs! It's just times have changed a whole lot. Go to the beach and you'll see more raunchy stuff than in Playboy. Hemme and Val are also in the rumour mill but unconfirmed. Agree with you remmie that its kinda a double edge sword but also that Playboy is very tame in comparison so the bad edge has gotten less. Presumably this will either be an annual deal, or a centrefold to promote a 'girls of TNA' special. Hopefully they'll go with someone really hot instead of Traci... like Velvet Skye. Get someone really hot and hopefully get lots of publicity from it to rope in the casual fans. Afterall, the whole point of Playboy (in wrestling) is to get more fans in... with the downside that once you flaunt your assets then people care less about seeing you in future... hmm.... I USE to look up porn on the internet when I was a teenager, so I'm not saying I haven't seen porn at all. But honestly, I don't know what the deal is these days. Porn doesn't disgust me though, so it's not it. When my dad passed, my mom has asked me numerous times to this day if I wanted his Playboy (plus a few others I think) collection. I've turned it down. Although I'm tempted to take it and maybe sell it. Old Playboys may be worth something, eh? I like me the women too. And actually, I don't get much lovin'. I'm single at the moment. Maybe I am weird after all... Anyways, back on the real subject, I kind of figured it would be Traci. She's got the looks and the rack. He had odd standards when it came to women. And yes, he was 100% positive Chyna was a man at some point in her life. I remember when she was chosen to pose for Playboy he went borderline crazy. TNA Knockout Traci Brooks has already posed for Playboy magazine as she did a shoot during her hiatus from television. As noted earlier, this is a big reason why she was suddenly brought back to television this past week in a prominent role. Brooks became a member of The Main Event Mafia by winning a Knockout Battle Royal this past Thursday on iMPACT!. TNAWrestlingNews.com is reporting that Christy Hemme and So Cal Val may have also done shoots with the magazine.
