WCW vs WWF: The Lines Are Drawn

Recommended Posts

WWF Intercontinental Title Match

Mr. Perfect © vs Sgt. Slaughter

I'm shocked that Bret dropped the title that quickly. I demand a recount!

Paul Orndorff vs The British Bulldog

Shame about the chemistry with Savage. Regardless, Bulldog's a player.

WWF World Tag Team Titles Match

The Narcissists © vs Tito Santana & Marty Jannetty

No team involving Marty Jannetty is going over a team involving Shawn Michaels.

Jim Duggan vs Owen Hart

Baby Owen gets his momentum back, after his dominant title run.

WWF National Title Match

Dino Bravo vs Tiger Mask ©

I can only assume that this title win was so that Owen can move up the card. Tiger Mask is a great choice for the second National Champion. I must say that I find it a little funny that an American company's National Title has only been held by foreigners.

(Razor Ramon is in the ring with Gene Okerlund, preparing to give an interview)

Gene Okerlund: You requested this interview, so go ahead and let us all know what this is all about.

Razor Ramon: Shut up, Chico. Do you know who i am mang? I am Da Bad Guy, so I'd show a little more respect if I were you. I hurt people for fun, mang. Have you ever had the taste slapped out of your mouth?

Gene Okerlund: Well, no.

Razor Ramon: If you don't want your first experience, then I suggest you fly straight with Da Bad Guy, Chico.

I just wanted to come out here to let the fans get to know me better, especially the ladies. I am oozing machismo, so I can get any chick I want, mang.

Let me show you what I'm talking about

(Razor gets out of the ring and spots a beautiful blonde sitting in the front row)

Razor Ramon: Hey, baby. Wouldn't you like to roll with Da Bad Guy tonight?

(The woman shakes her head no)

Gene Okerlund: That girl sure does look familiar, but I can't quite put a name to the face

(Razor gets into the woman's face)

Razor Ramon: You better come with me, you skank

(Razor grabs the woman by her collar, as the retuning Ricky Steamboat runs out and attacks Razor, finally running Da Bad Guy off.)

(Ricky then gets into the ring to talk with Gene Okerlund)

Gene Okerlund: What a surprise, and relief to see you Steamboat, as it was getting out of hand between Razor and that young lady

Ricky Steamboat: Yes, I am back Gene, but more importantly, that woman looked familiar to you because that's my wife Bonnie Steamboat

Gene Okerlund: Oh yes, now I remember

Ricky Steamboat: Razor, you will pay for what you did. You should never mess with a man's family, especially mine.

Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat has now switched to a Family Guy gimmick. It has gotten an initial C+ rating. The Family Values storyline has continued with this segment.

(Bret Hart is shown backstage with Gene Okerlund, preparing to give an interview)

Gene Okerlund: This past Sunday at Backlash, you lost the WWF Intercontinental title to Mr. Perfect. What are your thoughts on the match, and what are your plans now?

Bret Hart: Yes Gene, I lost the title at Backlash, but you know what, I won't make up some bs excuse about how I had the flu, and that's why I lost. Mr. Perfect was the better man that night, and I got beat fair and square.

But what I will do is use the same rematch clause that he used on me when he lost the title. Seeing as though we both have a win over each other, I thought long and hard about a way to settle this feud, and finally find out who is the better man, and the best wrestler in world.

What I came up with is this. At Saturday Night's Main Event, me and you Perfect, in a 1 Hour Iron Man Match. The excellence of execution is game, how about you?

(Hulk Hogan comes to the ring to cut a promo, but before he can say a word, he is interrupted by the music of the #1 Contender, Randy Savage)

Randy Savage: Hulk Hogan! You are looking at the #1 Contender, and the next WWF World Heavyweight Champion. The scenario couldn't be better, as you are the man I lost the title to in the first place, when you blatantly cheated to defeat me.

So, it's only right that I get not only what's rightfully mine, the WWF World Heavyweight title, but also revenge. At Saturday Night's Main Event, get ready to hand that title over to the better man, your King, The Macho King Randy Savage. Oooooh Yeah!

Got 'em all correct again.

Yeah that really hurt to find out about Savage and Bulldog's chemistry, especially since if was the second to last match of the ppv, and the others rated so well before it.

By the way, as you can see from the show, Bret will get a chance to get his revenge.

Jesse Ventura: You have been quiet throughout this whole ordeal, but now after your brother cost you your World title match, you have chosen to speak up, so, the floor is all yours

Rick Steiner: You see, the thing with Scotty is, he's always been jealous of me. Although I've always tried my hardest to make sure that me and my little brother were viewed as equals, he's always felt short-changed in life

Scott looks up to me, but he also wants to be better than me in everything. When I decided I wanted to become a wrestler, he decided that he wanted to also. When I decided to go to The University Of Michigan, he chose that as his school of choice. When I became an All-American at collegiate wrestling, that became a goal of his. When I decided to turn pro, he did the same.

I thought by teaming with my baby brother when he finally made it to the pros, that would cut out any jealousy he had in his heart, but he couldn't even stand to see me with gold around my waist that we earned as a unit. But, even today, I'm still not mad at him, because he's my brother, but I'm gonna have to show him some tough love at Slamboree, when I whip his ass in that squared circle.

So far this is truly epically awesome! I have just one complaint....PUSH MR. WONDERFUL! haha, or not, totally up to you :) Very good diary so far, I like it a lot. Goodluck

Thanks alot. Your words mean alot, as I'm happy to hear you are enjoying this, proving to me that this is not just all for naught.

When I first signed Orndorff, my plan was for him to get a push, as I've always liked him, but when he signed and it was recommended that he only be a Occasional Wrestler, I kinda soured on it. It's still not too late though. I may just think of something for Mr. Wonderful.

As always, thanks a million for reading.

Gene Okerlund: This past Sunday at Backlash, you defeated The Narcissists for the second time in a row, but were robbed of the WWF World Tag Team titles yet again. What are your thoughts concerning this?

Animal: I think it stinks like Chicago trash. Back on the mean streets of Chicago, it was always winner take all, no matter how you won. These stupid rules are letting these two punks get away with murder.

By their actions, it's obvious that they wouldn't last a day on the streets of Chicago. Speaking of which, we got word from the higher ups that due to your cowardly ways, they are letting us pick what kind of match we want against you two at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Now, you may be wondering what's our choice... So, tell 'em Hawk

Hulk Hogan: Well, you know something Mean Gene. Me and Randy go back a long time. I remember when we joined forces and formed The Mega Powers, and I unfortunately remember when we broke up also.

There has always been a rivalry between us, because being the two top guys in a company automatically makes you clash sooner or later. Savage is a very formidable opponent, even more so now that he has Scary Sherry in his corner, pulling every trick in the book to insure his victory.

But what Savage doesn't know is that I have a ace in the hole. You may wonder what it is, but you'll just have to wait until Saturday Night's Main Event to find out.

That broad wasn't hot enough to roll with Da Bad Guy anyway, so, I don't know why you're so quick to come to that skank's defense. But enough about that her. At Saturday Night's Main Event, you are gonna take a walk on the edge, the Razor's Edge that is, and after I'm done with you, I might just take your old lady after all, as she'll be throwing herself at me, trying to get with a winner.

Gene Okerlund: At Saturday Night's Main Event, you will face Bret Hart in a rematch for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. To up the ante though, Hart has challenged you to 60 Minute Iron Man Match. Will you accept his challenge?

Bobby Heenan: First off Scheme Gene, when you want to ask the champ a question, you run 'em by me, and then I'll filter them to him.

Perfect doesn't duck any challenges, but this is one that I have advised him not to take, as he has nothing to prove, seeing as though he's already the champ, and he's already beat Bret Hart.

The thing is... he just won't listen to me, and I sorta see why he wants to do this, so I'll stand behind him on it.

Mr. Perfect: You see, I know I can beat Bret any day of the week, as I am clearly the superior wrestler. But, it's been bugging me that he has a win over me, even if I was sick with the flu. I just shouldn't have happened

So, in this one hour Iron Man match, I will prove that not only was his first win a fluke, but also that I'm the best of the best, and that I am truly perfect

Jesse Ventura: Last week, I interviewed your brother Rick, and he had some interesting things to say in response to your claims about you guys' relationship. Do you have any rebuttal for his words?

I am a Superstar! As a matter of fact, from here on out, refer to me as Superstar Scott Steiner. I excel at everything I do. It's a proven fact. Just look at my track record.

Jesse Ventura: How do you feel about having to face your brother at the upcoming Slamboree Pay-Per-View?

Scott Steiner: I feel that Rick is making the biggest mistake of his career requesting a match with me, because he knows he can't beat me. He had it made leeching off of my talents during our tag team reign, but the buck stops here

Rick Rude: Contrary to popular belief, I beat Flair fair and square the first time we faced each other.

(The crowd boos)

Rick Rude: But if he and that fool Commissioner Terry Funk want to piss and moan to give him another shot, it's no sweat off of my brow. You see, Flair is living in the past. He used to be good, and I can't lie, he still is for the most part, but I am great.

Ric Flair: First off all, I have to give a big Wooooooo! to the fans here in Peoria Illinois. You guys have always been good to me.

As for Rude, his cowardly attack, and his hollow insults don't faze me. I've seen this all before. A champion who knows that his days are numbered, pulling all the tricks in the book to gain a psychological edge. Been there, done that.

The only way Rude will be retaining the title at Slamboree is if he is the better wrestler. Because in that steel cage, you have to lay it all on the line, and prove you are deserving of that title you hold.
