Madden Franchise - Who do you play as?

Do you play as your favorite team?

A team you've never played in previous games before?

A team to re-build? or a Team to maintain?

I'm having troubles really deciding who I want to be, however, the most fun I ever had playing this game was trying to re-build the Oakland Raiders last year. They had Russell and McFadden.... Enough said!

<p>This year I get to combine my two favorite franchises to run: My favorite team and rebuilding a really, really bad team. Thank you St. Louis Rams for yalls epic, epic levels of suck.</p><p> </p><p>

Note: Bulger broke his collarbone in Week 2, and will miss six games total. So far Kyle Boller has been anything but impressive.</p>

<p>If you want a fun franchise, I recommend going with one with some pieces in place with plenty of directions to go.</p><p> </p><p>

I played with Tampa last year, and it was really fun. A huge number of my players retired after year 1 (Brooks, Galloway, Dunn, etc.), and I decided to rebuild by trading my older or less secure players for picks or youn guys (I traded away Ronde Barber, for example).</p><p> </p><p>

I managed to draft a future all-pro WR and CB without being cheap (I had 2 1st round picks, though, at least). I also ended up getting Richard Seymour and Clinton Portis.</p><p> </p><p>

Strangely enough, I ended up taking the team to the Super Bowl within a few years with Josh Johnson at QB. (He's in the mid-30's this year... <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />) I was more successful with him than lots of other guys I tried. (I got Matt Hasselbeck and didn't like how he was playing.)</p><p> </p><p>

It was a fun team to play as because I was able to build and slowy replace what was already there. I always had a few mainstays that I loved. (Like Barrett "The Rifle" Ruud and my awesome KR/PR Dexter Jackson.<img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />)</p><p> </p><p>

This year, the Buccs are rebuilding in actuality and would be a good choice. Also, consider the Texans, the Bears, or the Browns.</p>

I did the exact thing on '09 with the same exact idea. Except I was able to get Jay Cutler and traded away JaMarcus. From NCAA '09 draft classes, I had Jeremy Maclin as my go to WR and Terrelle Pryor as my backup QB.

i'm playing as the Bengals as they are my home town team. They have a good young Def. and with another few good players could make the Defs and top 5. They got a good QB in Carson Palmer. to Vet WRs in Cad and Coles and few young WR that just need some playing time. all you really have to do is really build up there Oline and Dline alittle more and maybe try and get a good speed back that and catch too and they are set too be a great team

I've tried starting a franchise with my Carolina Panthers but every time I play a game on All-Madden (PS2 version) their corners and safeties are always in perfect position while my corners run away from the football until it's caught! It's really, really, really getting frustrating because it gets me to the point where I just turn it off.

I usually play with the Oakland Raiders since they are my favorite team and they need to be rebuilt. The main problem for me is the contracts that some of the players have on the team are awful. After the first season I have to cut a few of the players with bad contracts to be able to sign free agents and my draft picks.
