Losing popularity and not sure why.

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I checked the tips thread and small questions thread and didn;t see anything that helped, so was wondering if someone could give me some help.

I just started my own promotion so for the first time I'm playing as a regional promotion. Everythings going really well, my lowest cards have been C+, and my popularity was rising. I had got to E- pop in some places other than my home region (Tri State) and Tri state had gone up to C-. However, I just noticed my popularity had gone back down to F+ in those other regions, and the ones that were F+ down to F etc. despite me putting on 4 "B" shows and one "B+" all that said should increase my popularity.

I checked the editor before my last show to see what was happening. I ran the show, got a "B" went back onto editor and all my popularities (I think including where I ran the show, although I forgot to check that one first) all my popularity had gone down by 0.5%.

At the moment I'm running weekly shows, always in Tri-State, with my shows being shown on the internet. Am I running too many shows? Should I be running some outside my home area? I assumed with a regional fed I'd be ok running just in my region, so should I be running monthly events instead of weekly?

Thanks for any help I get :)

If you haven't held a show in an area in a while (or ever), then your Popularity will drop in that area. Even if you're on TV there, if they can't go to your shows, they'll lose interest.

Try holding a show in one of those regions, per month. Rotate through the regions, so that you're hitting each one a few times a year. That's all it takes to maintain your Popularity, and let the Internet do the work of increasing you.

If you're worried about getting lower show ratings in these other regions, then hold a non-televised show there, so that you won't hurt your Popularity in your home region.

It WILL, however, cause me to not be able to sell out my PPVs, and at certain stages I'm sure it'd be a bigger problem. I have a company in 1997 CVerse that, if I hold too many shows, won't be able to sell out tickets to its TV shows.
