Moe Hunter
Ouch, I have plenty to say but don't want to get too complex since being an airhead hoe who acts like every girl in a night club in California seems to be all some people can understand.. Wrong. I'm all for girl power. I've said I don't care for many of the Divas but I like a few of them. I didn't mind Kelly Kelly to a point. I just think they need to tone the AJ stuff down that's all. I admit her in ring sucked, but she was full of energy and was a bit ditzy. I'm glad they didn't take it to far. So... Kelly acts like an airhead, like every girl in a night club in California, which is apparently a bad thing, but you get on board with it? Being "full of energy and a bit ditzy" is better than a crazy character who actually can act, and is making compelling television? Someone already covered that Kelly's whole gimmick was that of being a two-timing exhibitionist ho. Also, AJ can run the ropes, which already puts her leagues ahead of Kelly in the ring. Kelly was bad in the ring, and couldn't act or make a storyline to save herself. So you are corect in that you can get complex, if by that you mean along the lines of contradictory. Kelly Kelly wasn't on EVERY NIGHT nor was she ON FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME...she did her thing and was gone...With AJ it's broken up in different spots through out the night and drives me complete bonkers. Teh_Showtime
If anyone has ever doubted Ziggler (not sure why you would) just watch the last 2 minutes of this vid. Better than any promo we've seen on TV all year.
bigtplaystew
Probably should be noted A.J. is working with two of the very best in the business right now. Before DB she was... well... nothing. I know she was "Queen of FCW" and all that crap but those promos wouldn't cut it at the WWE level and you are all smart enough to know that. Still, all in all, she is interesting to watch to me because she's something different. She's definitely done well with what she's been given. No doubt about that. She's kept the Punk/Bryan feud fresh. And as a long time fan of both guys, getting to see them compete against each other week after week for all this time is almost a dream come true for me. I NEVER thought I'd see either of these guys reach the level they did, and to be doing it AGAINST each other? Fanboys don't get this lucky usually. Better than any promo we've seen on TV all year. That was awesome, but... and I really liked that whole thing, so don't get me wrong, but.. It's one thing to put together a package like that (which does take talent), and another to be that good on air live, of which I haven't seen yet. I've seen glimpses, but I haven't seen him that good live on the mic, ever. Like I said though, I loved packaged video he put together, and that kind of stuff does take talent... it's just a different type of talent is what I'm saying. You can't compare that with a live promo.

Guest codey
Not sure if anyone's kept up with Husky Harris's new character, Bray Wyatt, but do so. The promo packages, the live promos, and the matches are all indicative of a great character and wrestler. I hope that when he returns from I jury he can make it off of NXT and onto the main shows. Ecause the character is fantastic. Just YouTube Bray Wyatt for all of your entertainment needs.

I didn't watch the last few seasons, so I'm not entirely sure when this change happened, but the first couple of seasons were done in front of the big crowd, yeah? It gave them a much better gauge of crowd reaction and let the guys work in front of a larger crowd. Seems like a far more productive way to handle it, as opposed to the 200 person shows they're running now with dead crowds.
djthefunkchris
He doesn't get live mic time thought they were gonna finally break him away from Vickie but I guess not. I think they can, or should... It's working though, as he gets reactions more with her then he ever did without her. Kind of the old saying, if it's not broken.... but my way of looking at it is, if they would have gone the other route, and had Vickie go with Swagger, they could have always switched back around by some deviousness or something, if it didn't work out well enough. Why not at least try... He's certainly better in my opinion. Not sure if anyone's kept up with Husky Harris's new character, Bray Wyatt, but do so. ZMAN
I've wanted to see Ziggler break away from Vickie ever since the show off stuff started up. That was really his chance to show that he can carry himself on the mic without dragging her around. It's time to give Dolph a chance at going solo. Guest codey
I'm digging him, but curious to see how it comes off on a "real" show. He had a few matches in FCW before he got injured, complete with good, long promos before they start. One thing he does that I absolutely love is keep his music playing while he speaks, which adds a very nice touch to his promos.

They don't count as a real crowd.

You can't compare that with a live promo. At least he can hold his own live. It's always important to focus on a superstar's strengths if they're on the come up. And to their credit, WWE does that too... sometimes. They should do this with Ziggler, have him cut several backstage vignettes if he's gonna deliver like that. milamber
I'm okay with "wrestlecrap" to a point, but really...it's kinda getting out of hand when you get less than a quarter of the shows time dedicated to actual...ya know...wrestling...? So close to the 1000th episode and the final Raw before a PPV that only needed a 3 week build, I expected nothing less. Like it or not, casual fans would have lost interest in Punk vs Bryan 2 months ago without the injection of Kane to mix things up and AJ for the entertainment value. The fact that Cena still main events PPVs and the crowd actually wanted to see Lawler vs Cole proves that entertainment still trumps wrestling in WWE. With the Punk/Bryan/AJ feud they are at least attempting to combine the two. I only wish they would make Punk vs Bryan the main event at MITB but I'm not holding my breath. Psycho Sam
Spoilers below: highlight if you wanna be spoiled Hornswoggle is the anonymous GM of RAW Gotta admit, that was VERY terrible in my opinion... leaving it alone for 2 years and returning to it. In TEW terms, it would probably be -100 Your thoughts? Or has that been said already? Because that storyline finihs was really bad... Giving the right push and time it looks like he could end up with a cult of "followers" willing to do his bidding, similar to Raven's Flock in WCW. He has the experience of wrestling on RAW, Smackdown (I think) and various PPV's so being in front of a big crowd should not be an issue. Until you see how a live RAW crowd reacts to a gimmick, it's an issue. Being able to keep 200 people entertained is awesome, if you're working for Chikara, but that's not going to cut it in WWE. I hope the gimmick sticks, and I hope you're right with the Flock reference. How often do we see cult followings actually HAVE a cult following though? I just don't see creative knowing how to use this effectively.

Thing is no matter how talented a guy (or girl) is, how good their gimmick is, it isn't going to go anywhere if the creative "minds" don't use them properly. On a side note, Hornswoggle was the Anonymous GM? Really? That's the best "creative" could come up with? They have been running some cool videos for Wyatt on the new version of NXT where he is out in the swamps with this group of random people kneeling before him hanging on his every word. If they can duplicate that for him on RAW or Smackdown it would be great. But once again, that is a lot to expect from WWE creative.
Hyde Hill
Yeah Bray Wyat is an interesting character so far and I am interested how it will translate on a larger stage. As for Ziggler he still doesn't have me convinced but I am also curious how he would do now without Vicky and how a heavy mark crowd would react to him both in and out of ring. He has gotten better I will give him that.
