I'm guessing Vince will probably be the Heel. Which becomes even more...I don't even know what to call the situation, since he's always turning, so, nothing new there. If not him, maybe Stephanie, but I highly doubt it will be Trips the one that turns. My money is on Vince. I imagine Vince will end up entering a power war with Hunter and Stephanie will try to amend things, or something like that. Or maybe they will all enter a pissing contest, including Stephanie, if we remember her last words to Vickie on Monday. Either way, i'm actually interested to see where it goes, and contrary to many other, or so it seems, I like to see the Mcmahons on TV, so I'm enjoying.

I think Paige will get to keep her Anti-Diva gimmick. She'll be NXT champ for a few months before hitting the main roster. Plenty of time for AJ to slowly turn face (if she stays with Ziggy), with Paige starting off a heel.

This week Raw was the best one since the crazy one after Wrestlemania 29. It had so much storyline progression.

The Mark Henry segment was the best/worst thing WWE could have done.

 

Best because no one thought it was a work. Mark's acting was incredible, and had many people in the crowd and at home in tears the same way Edge did when he was forced to retire because of injury. I can usually smell a work coming a mile away but this had me fooled.

 

Worst for the same exact reason. What is going to happen the next time someone retires either because of age or an injury? Will they get the hero's farewell they rightfully deserve? Or will half the crowd and people at home just think it's another work?

The fact that Henry came out right after Cena was done declaring that he will defend the title against anybody should have hinted that it was a work but Henry's capivating perfomance really made us believe. I think the crowd is going to be able to distinguish the difference between a legitimate retirement like Edge and a semi-shoot one like Henry's.</p>

NXT Highlights:

 

Dawkins vs Zayn - Zayn is getting over quick. I love his backstage segments with Renee Young.

Banks vs Rae - Summer Rae is a good heel. She just needs more experience before stepping up to the main roster.

Carter vs Woods - Woods' charisma and gimmick are interesting.

Ohno/Neville/Graves vs Wyatt Family - Match of the show. All 6 men deserve to be wrestling on the main shows.

Sheamus vs. Cody Rhodes- Decent match to start off the night, Sheamus finishes off Cody with the Cloverleaf. (6/10)</p><p> </p><p>

Curtis Axel vs. Wade Barrett- Not a bad match by any means, But I think it's time we take out Wade Barrett out of the intercontinental title scene for a while, thanks to the IC title (and the WWE creative team for all you Barrett fans out there), it has killed Wade's career.........Now I wish I was a booker for the WWE..........(7/10)</p><p> </p><p>

AJ Lee vs. Natalya- The divas are finally getting TV time, Yay for Total Divas and the E network! (6/10)</p><p> </p><p>

Chris Jericho vs. Alberto Del Rio- Great work for those two, And big ups for Ziggler for at least attacking Del Rio, I'm kinda digging Ziggler's new babyface character, i'd say all you internet smarks better pray he doesn't become another John Cena.......Kidding, Kidding. (8.5/10)</p><p> </p><p>

Christian vs. Drew McIntyre- I'm starting a campaign to put those 3 out of their misery and do the following 4 words.......BREAK..........UP...........THE 3MB! (6/10)</p><p> </p><p>

Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton- Holy shit that was incredible! Then again, Every match with Daniel Bryan is incredible! (10/10)</p><p> </p><p>

Final Verdict- B- Another solid showing by the Smackdown gang, Ziggler's face turn has seemingly gone well with the fans, Barrett, 3MB and The Rhode Scholars need to form another Nexus, I mean these 5 must have hit rock bottom by now. (Be prepared for what I am about to say next kids.)</p><p> </p><p>

August- Say that they attack John Cena like they did last time with The Nexus, Wade Barrett could lead again, Maybe say that the 5 of them are sick of being treated like just another guys and blame Triple H for holding them back, the new Nexus could run roughshot over WWE, kicking everyone's asses and finally, in 2014, Barrett after all these years, gets his WWE championship, Against D-Bryan of all people!, Along the way there come some surprises like R.V.D challenges one of the Nexus members to a match tonight, Barrett accepts and then, here comes Orton, And just when you think he goes to help RVD, He RKO's him outta nowhere thus finally turning heel and joining the Nexus.</p><p> </p><p>

September- The New Nexus has grown impressive thanks to Randy Orton, but now they have a problem, A freshly turned babyface Big Show that's what, Thus leading to an epic main event in Smackdown that ends up with Wade Barrett winning, But then here comes Zack Ryder for no damn good reason saying that the 6 of them don't belong in the WWE, Barrett tells him to shut up and says that he's nothing! Ryder, angered, hurt and enraged tearfully admits that he is nothing.....and QUITS THE WWE! The Nexus celebrate, victorious again.</p><p> </p><p>

October- The New Nexus get their first titles in the WWE, The Rhodes Scholars have won the tag team titles, Barrett is (ONCE AGAIN) IC Champion for some reason, And i'm guessing you might think Barrett will be jinxed by it......again...............WRONG, The Nexus finally had titles at last........and it just, kept, getting, better! Barrett reveals of a higher power of the Nexus, That is where Bo Dallas comes in, stares Wade Barrett eye to eye, and................they SHAKE HANDS?! Bo Dallas reveals that he has joined The New Nexus!</p><p> </p><p>

November- 7 Members, Two titles in their grasps, and a MiTB contract in Wade Barrett's hands, What more can you ask for?, Easy, The WWE Championship, But to get it, He has to get past Daniel Bryan, And that comes in no easy cost, They have to go through D-Bryan's gauntlet consisting of The Big Show, Kane, Mark Henry, John Cena, Sheamus, RVD and yes, Daniel Bryan himself. Barrett steamrolls through the gauntlet defeats Daniel Bryan!!, Barrett then says that he will cash in MiTB, AT TLC!</p><p> </p><p>

December- TLC proves to be the greatest so far for the Nexus, The Rhodes Scholars beat The Usos to keep the tag team titles, Barrett keeps the IC title safe against Chris Jericho, Heath Slater wins the US title versus Christian, Orton wins the World Heavyweight title from Dolph Ziggler and finally, The MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIINNNNNNNNNNN EEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!, D-Bryan vs Wade Barrett for the WWE Championship, In a grueling 45 minutes of action, but unfortunatly for them (The Nexus) it wasn't enough as Daniel Bryan won..........sortof..................okay it was a disqualification, but a win is still a win.</p><p> </p><p>

January- The Higher Power is finally figured out in this rematch, Barrett is being beaten to a pulp by D-Bryan when suddenly, a man wearing black comes in the ring and does the A.A to him, Barrett covers Bryan for the 1, 2, 3! New champion! Barrett thanks The Mystery Man in Black for his help, But then, The Mystery Man takes off his hood and reveals to be...................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................(ZACK RYDER! Nah, I'm just kidding)....................................................................................................................JOHN CENA?!?!, The crowd can't believe it! It was Cena all along, After all these years, Cena had snapped and gone to the dark side, it was the darkest day ever in the WWE and suddenly, It was Bash at the Beach in 1996 all over again and set the stage for the biggest triple threat in WWE history! Wade Barrett vs Daniel Bryan vs John Cena............for the WWE Championship..............</p><p> </p><p>

Through Feburary to March, The Nexus continue to grow and dominate adding in members such as The Miz, R-Truth, Kurt Angle, Santino Marella and even Rey Mysterio! Triple H finally has it with the rebel sons of the Nexus and tells the WWE universe that if Wade Barett was pinned at WrestleMania........They (The Nexus)............would............be.............FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (No keyfabe, For reals, Except John Cena of course, cause everyone loves him so much)</p><p> </p><p>

WRESTLEMANIA XXX: Finally, The day came, WrestleMania 30! And damn it, It was possibly the greatest WrestleMania in the history of history!</p><p> </p><p>

Pre-Show- John Morrison returned to beat Heath Slater for the WWE United States Championship.</p><p> </p><p>

Match 1- Tons of Funk beat The Rhode Scholars to finally win the Tag Team Titles.</p><p> </p><p>

Match 2- Axel beat The Big Show to become the NEW IC Champion.</p><p> </p><p>

Match 3- Sheamus beat Big E Langston in a ***** star match!!</p><p> </p><p>

Match 4- Dolph Ziggler beat Alberto Del Rio to become the NEW No. 1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship.</p><p> </p><p>

Match 5- RVD beat Randy Orton in a incredible match to become to NEW WH Champion!</p><p> </p><p>

Match 6- Undertaker beat Ryback to complete the streak at 22-0, Undertaker then announced his retirement and thanked the fans and said he could finally return to his home in Death Valley, Saying it was finally time for the Phenom to rest............in...............PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!</p><p> </p><p>

<p><strong>Smackdown Highlights:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bryan opening segment</strong> - Continuation of the Raw angle about Bryan not completing a match for the first time in his career (including a backstage argument with HHH), fueling his "weak link" feud with Orton and furthering the interfering McMahons storyline. Good work from the creative team.</p><p>

<strong>Sheamus vs Rhodes</strong> - Rhodes dominated and even used a new submission move. Sheamus won with the cloverleaf for a change. Sandow assaulted Sheamus. Good match.</p><p>

<strong>Axel vs Barrett (IC Title)</strong> - Barrett had the better of Axel most of the match but Axel was always going to retain. Barrett should turn face.</p><p>

<strong>AJ vs Natalya</strong> - Natayla hit a unique submission move. AJ screamed "Shut up!" at the crowding chanting "AJ's crazy." Natalya tapped to the Black Widow submission. A good even match almost ruined by a commercial break.</p><p>

<strong>Jericho vs Del Rio</strong> - Good match. Multiple kicks to the head from ADR were a nice touch. Lion Tamer to Ricardo was cool. Ziggler also got involved leading to him taking a Code Breaker and a Super Kick to the head for his trouble.</p><p>

<strong>Christian vs McIntyre</strong> - Either 3MB need to turn face or McIntyre should go solo. Shield gave Christian a nice welcome back after the match.</p><p>

<strong>Verdict:</strong> Strong follow-up to Payback and Raw. I liked how all the matches were scripted to be either even or in favor of the losers -- no easy wins for the victors.</p>

<strong>Rhodes Scholars vs Sheamus/Christian</strong> - Interesting finish. Rhodes looked good. Sheamus & Christian should stay together and face the Shield at SummerSlam. </p><p>

<strong>Jericho vs Del Rio</strong> - Good match.</p><p>

<strong>Triple Tag Team</strong> - The Usos deserve a big match like this even if they have no chance of winning.</p><p>

<strong>CM Logan vs Young</strong> - Segment with Heyman was good if a little long-winded. Match was decent.</p><p>

<strong>WWE MITB participants</strong> - Very strong all-babyface lineup is unique.</p><p>

<strong>Troll-job Henry segment</strong> - Ratings just went up. Puppets!</p><p>

<strong>Bryan vs Orton</strong> - Great match. Holy **** -- Orton tapped out! Still no Orton heel turn. Time to stop teasing and pull the trigger. I've been getting tired of the young 20's late teen thing of "Gimme what I want right now! russellrules... I like the recaps. But keep it simple because all the extra Santino stuff made it really hard to read. Get the easy stuff right (the recaps themselves) and once you've got that nailed, then maybe try some stuff. Gotta walk before you can run.

 

I'm in the process of watching RAW just now since people seem enthused about it for the last couple of shows. Is nice to see the WWE doing things that someone on the internet enjoys... it seems to rare that seeing it really does make me happy. Though from what I've watched so far, I still say that TNA is better in general.

If we really need a spot-to-spot upper midcarder to put over the million young heels on Raw, I'd much prefer JoMo.
