Raw (Broke Show Edition) Review:

Opening segment - Solid Orton promo. HHH is killing it as a heel. Doink the Clown <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> "Here comes the next Cruiserweight Champion." Bryan going in hard on Trips and Orton. Keep your mouth shut, Cody <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Fandango vs Miz - Decent match.

Ziggler vs Ryback - Set up for Ambrose/Ziggler US Title match. I like Rybully.

Steph & Big Show - The ironclad contract returns to get buried. Steph's sugar-coated trolling plus Show's facial expressions equals gold.

3MB vs PTP - Fun tag match. Too many bad jokes from Lawler.

Wyatt Family - Story time with Bray Wyatt should be a permanent fixture on Raw.

Cody vs Orton - Match of the show. Cody on top form. Orton adding a few heelish touches to his moveset. Cody's backstage promo about the McMahons hating the Rhodes family was awesome.

Sandow vs RVD - Good match.

Bryan vs Show - Decent match while it lasted. I like Big Show as an unwilling corporate stooge. His acting is fine but the crying is a bit over-the-top.

Verdict: Better show than expected (3 weeks after a PPV and no slump). The Corporate Reign of Terror is in full swing and being pushed hard. HHH, Orton and Bryan are doing great work. Cody Rhodes and Big Show are my MVPs tonight.

So I went on a few sites to see peoples reaction to Raw and boy was I shocked. The amount of hate towards the last Raw is unbelievable. People complaining that the heels are too dominant, Bryan is too weak, the Corporate storyline is boring already (it's been less than 3 weeks since it started!), people crapping on Big Show and demands for Cena to come back (lol). And most of them are smarks who I thought would see the positives in the way WWE is being booked right now (particuarly HHH's trolling and the supposedly weak Bryan main eventing every show). The only thing people seemed to like about Raw was Cody Rhodes. My response:

Ehh some people just hate to hate wrestling. A lot. They type about how much they hate it. Join facebook groups about how much they hate it. Then they think they're smarter than the people who actually enjoy the 9+ hours they put into wrestling per week. Us fools. Actually LIKING what we watch for hours and hours...

You know a friend of mine was complaining about how "weak" Daniel Bryan looked. I explained to him, it's not that he's weak, he has the entire executive team gunning for him and a 3-man hit squad waiting for him around every corner. I don't even think Cena could overcome these odds on a regular basis. I'm enjoying it and feel like this is the best thing WWE has done in a while. Yeah, it's a bit of a rehash, but that doesn't bother me.

I will express my dislike of WWE when it's bad, but when it's good we need to speak up as well (as many of you here have been doing). There were times I couldn't get through the three hours of RAW even while fast forwarding much of it. I'd fall asleep after an hour and a half or two. Lately, I've been very locked in to every episode - no sleeping and less fast forwarding.

There's a few members here that are like that, but thankfully the one in particular I'm thinking of hasn't been around for awhile. There's still one here though that I don't understand why anyone even responds to.

That's the most viewers since the show after WrestleMania all the way back in April. On top of that, SmackDown was the lead dog in all the right demographics on Friday night.

NXT (We the People Edition) Review:

Bayley & Charlotte vs Fox & Aksana - Average match. The 2 main roster divas did nothing interesting. Bayley's "Belly-to-belly hugplex" (as A-Ry called it) was cute.

Victor vs Graves - Graves pulled out the win despite Victor targeting his injured ribs. Turned into a decent match about half-way through.

Rusev vs Ryan - Finally Mason Ryan gets a worthy opponent. Rusev the Bulgarian Brute is interesting. Solid big man match. Rematch please.

Zayn vs Swagger - I won't spoil the ending but it was a great match! Definitely one of Swagger's best matches in recent months. Sami Zayn is the Daniel Bryan of NXT.

Verdict: Good show. A return to form for NXT with a main event worthy of Raw or Smackdown. Every match was better than the one before it.

Mason Ryan is no better or worse than Ryback, it's all about developing an interesting character for him. Right now he's just playing himself. It doesn't help that he looks like Batista with a different hairstyle. In NXT I've only seen him in 2 minute squash matches except the match against Rusev, who has a more interesting character.

Think he'll get the big wwe repack and get on the roster again? I thought he had nothing when he was on Raw but I hear good things about his work down at NXT.

He's pretty bad. They need to come up with a gimmick for him, because right now his gimmick on NXT is "he's really strong!" Rusev seems to have a lot more potential.

Pretty poor NXT outside of a good main event, as Graves is just awful and I want him to go away or turn heel or something, Alicia and Aksana are in wrestling matches, the whole first 1/2-2/3 were pretty rough. Fortunately Sami Zayn is great, and Swagger's a solid worker, so the main event was strong.

Smackdown (Bryan's Revenge Edition) Review:

Town Hall Meeting - HHH trolling: "Cody Rhodes Fired Cody Rhodes." Sandow kissing ass. Slater being a douche. RVD sounding like a stoner. Ryback being a baby. Funny stuff.

RVD vs Orton - RVD had the upper hand until he tried to defend Ricardo from Del Rio. Orton took advantage to get the pin. Good match.

Ziggler vs Ryback - Decent match with Ryback going over after Ziggler got distracted. Bonus Ambrose on commentary.

Kofi vs Axel - Solid match and a shock win for Kofi to play up Heyman's fear heading into NOC. Axel could have benefitted from a clean win, though. Surprisingly the crowd support was 50/50.

Real Americans vs Usos - OK match with the Real Americans chalking up a much needed win. Good teamwork on display.

3MB vs Show - Mildly entertaining squash match set up by HHH as he continues to manipulate Big Show. Will he turn heel? Stay tuned to find out!

Rollins vs Bryan - Short even match but Bryan pulled out the win despite Ambrose & Reigns getting involved. Orton knocked Bryan out with the title as he was celebrating on the ramp. Only negative was Rollins' head hitting the mat from a dangerous German Suplex by Bryan.

Verdict: Strong show. Bryan finally overcame the odds. With that win and the fact that he's main eventing every PPV, Raw and Smackdown (something Punk never did during his massive push) the whiners don't have a leg to stand on.

On a related note, Henry has been cleared to compete. I wonder if his injury is what led to this "HHH making Big Show his bitch" storyline, or maybe it was the plan all along. Hopefully between Night of Champions and Battleground, Henry and Show will join forces to take on the Shield like they teased a few weeks ago.
