Miz/Bryan, Rollins/Dolph, and Carmella/Charlotte/Becky were all 4 star gems. The Demon was short but it should be. It's the Demon. Corbin sold the shock and the fear really well. Brock FINALLY lost the belt, that's worth the entire 9.99 right there.

 

Also let's all agree Becky's heel turn was the highlight of the show. I couldn't believe it. Why can't they do that with Roman? Did you hear how loud the crowd was for Becky's beatdown of Charlotte? Awesome.

Awesome.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> SummerSlam was better than I was expecting but 3-4 legit good matches on a 13 match card with too many underwhelming finishes just isn't good enough. Compare that to Takeover always having 4-5 good matches on a 5 match card. Remove the 4-5 weakest matches and SummerSlam turns into a solid PPV. As they presented it, it was bloated with too many average matches that could have been blown off on Raw or Smackdown instead.</p>

<p>I enjoyed both events. I know I'm in the minority on this, but I'm getting tired of Ciampa/Gargano already. The whole destruction of the ring two events in a row? Meh.</p><p> </p><p>

SummerSlam was fun. Didn't watch the pre-show but the squash matches I just went "Hmmm...well that's an interesting decision" and moved on. I don't watch/follow TV, just what's on the Network, so it makes no difference to me.</p>

<p>This Becky heel turn sure is interesting. Just like Joe she's getting cheered as a heel, which isn't a big deal but it does make the writers job harder long term in terms of creating sympathy for her opponents. Lucky for them Becky's good on the mic so she's making it work so far.</p><p> </p><p>

The Tornado Tag main event on 205 Live was the most entertaining match since Takeover, IMO.</p>

I have no sympathy for Charlotte in this storyline. She weaseled her way into a title match she did not deserve to be in and stole Becky's opportunity. People were not happy for Becky turning heel, they were happy because she was kicking Charlotte's arse. Cause they felt bad for Becky and thought Charlotte deserved the beating. Plus, Becky is a universally beloved babyface. I suspect there is nothing they can do that will make people truly hate her. She is just loveable without an actual reason.

 

And Charlotte is simply someone who would never get any accolades if she wasn't Ric's daughter. It doesn't matter how good she can be, and I actually like Charlotte, all i see is she being forced down people's throats as the best female wrestler of all time, which she will clearly never be, no matter how many titles and accolades they give her. And this was the person and story they chose to turn Becky heel? Sounds legit.

Can't wait for them to start airing their NXT UK shows. I've been waiting for the UK division to get their own show for more than a year. Can't believe it took this long. They've been consistently the best part of the NXT shows whenever they were were featured, including that spectacle on this week's show. Pete Dunn is hands down the best champion in the company right now, counting both main roster and NXT.

Like going full Russo would be turning Becky heel, then turning her face the next week, give her a pregnancy angle the following week, and then making a miscarriage angle the following week. It's the hottest take I've heard all year. </p><p> </p><p> I'm really excited to see what they do with Becky as a heel. She kind of got the fans against her last Tuesday and when they stop doing overly smarky cities like Brooklyn, she'll get more heel heat.</p>

Yeah, the baby face thing for Charlotte to do in that situation is let Becky have her match, and ask Paige to give her the next title shot, whether it’s Becky or Carmella.

Charlotte is still a Flair. She's not going to knock back a golden opportunity. Characters with shades of grey are more interesting it's just that it's hard to trust WWE (outside of NXT) to pull it off with too many cooks in the writing kitchen and Vince's last minutes changes.

She was put in a triple threat, where the odds are against her winning. Had she simply let Becky take the match on her own and got the next title match, she would've had better odds of winning. Remember what happened last year in the big multiman for the championship? Everyone killed Brock to start the match. A triple threat is never a good thing unless it's your only chance.</p>

Yeah in my opinion she is not very relatable. As a heel you don't have to be and it works better for her.

I like Charlotte's work a lot. Definitely deserves where she is imo. But she should be kept a heel at all times. Her mic work is fine, but under Sasha or Alexa's level.

Charlotte screams phony when she’s a babyface. Same with Sasha. They’re easy to hate and hard to like despite their in ring ability. Not sure what WWE’s obsession with making Charlotte the Roman Reigns of the Women’s division is all about. Not everyone is meant to be a face.

It made sense since Strowman got triple powerbombed by the Shield last week. Plus, RAW needs a top heel after the exit of Lesnar. I'm fine with it even though it's not going to change the crowd's mind anyways. Fans will still cheer the "I'm not finished with you!" Braun Strowman and boo "The Big Dawg" Roman Reigns.
