In a vacuum it doesn't mean anything, especially because a lot of the time you're not getting the time specific information that WWE has access to. WWE isn't competing in a vacuum, they know there's people that are only watching the first 10 minutes and the over-run, because they've trained the audience to watch that way for the past 10+ years. They also get a bunch of people clicking over at the top of every new hour, so they try to have a major segment with each of them, with the biggest in the overrun.

It's silly to say Wyatt isn't a "draw" because he dropped viewers in the segment after the hour 3 open. The week before, the hour 3 bump wasn't as high, and Fandango vs R-Truth lost even more viewers anyway. It's almost like WWE intentionally puts a "cool down" match after a major angle/segment, before they start the build to the main event!

This week's show did better ratings than last week's, which makes sense because this was a better show. Also it's great to see ADR vs Sin Cara's non-match held steady when ADR vs Kingston in the same spot on the card lost viewers. That's the sort of meaningful data that tells you the TV audience would rather see Sin Cara over Kofi.

In the interview with Triple H, he talked about that. He said basically that Vince would preach to him that you have to give people a chance to sit down, or they will get tired of standing. He intentionally throws in things like a Diva's match in between "main event" type match's, to give the audience a chance to "sit". It is something I heard before, but I think it was from Vince himself. I figured that's why TEW has the perfect show theory, was based off that idea.

It makes sense... When I used to DJ all the time, I always had that slow set in between, giving people time to catch their breath. I've always believed the perfect timing for it is around an hour though, not every 15 minutes....

NXT (Featuring that match Edition) Review:

Bayley vs AJ - Babyface reaction for AJ. Slow but fun match that integrated both ladies' gimmicks really well.

Zacki & Hicks vs Ascension - Squash match. O'Brian & Victor are a strong heel tag team that have main roster potential.

Corbin vs Parker - Corbin is a bit bland. I'm not keen on Parker's hippie gimmick -- I like him better backstage photobombing Tyler Breeze.

Rusev vs Ziggler - The big Bulgarian (trained by Rikishi and Gangrel) looks like a modern-day gladiator. The clash of styles made for a good match.

Zayn vs Cesaro (2 out of 3 falls) - Zayn attacked Cesaro before the bell, hit a Yakuza Kick and got the 1st fall. Zayn tapped out to a Cesaro Sleeper Hold (which Zayn sold convincingly) for the 2nd fall. The lead up to the 3rd fall contained all sorts of awesome moves and counters -- stuff you'd expect to see in a good indy match. I won't spoil the result here but my prediction for the winner was Zayn. Fantastic match!

Verdict: One of the best NXT shows ever for the main event alone. We also got AJ and Ziggler. Rusev's debut was impressive. Zayn vs Cesaro was PPV quality.

@Milamber,

I wasn't keen on Parker's gimmick at all while watching the show so I am glad that you felt the same way. Also if they go forward by having Parker continue to Photo bomb Breeze's photos and it leads to a match between the two I am not going to like it. I hated Breeze before this show but hearing him talk really made me dislike him even more. If he makes it to the main roster WWE should pair him with a manager because he's got a horrible speaking voice (maybe done on purpose) which I could get past but he also has terrible delivery in his promos as well.

Sami Zayn vs. Antonio Cesaro 2 out of 3 falls was absolutely amazing but like you said I also wont spoil the result for anyone who wants to watch that match. One of the best matches I have seen from the WWE in a while.

I love that photobombing is "ruining his entire life." I'm not a fan of Parker, but I like Breeze, and he was trained by Lance Storm, so he should know how to work, too. Although why is the male model not the one named after Pamela Anderson on Baywatch? And how on earth is Parker Vader's kid?

SmackDown (Snake vs Goat Edition) Review:

Opening segment - One of Randy's bettter promos. Not as good as Bryan, though, who unsurprisingly bested him on the mic.

Rhodes vs Axel - Decent match. I picked it last month -- Punk vs Axel for the IC Title at NOC. Makes sense that Punk would try to take the belt off Axel just to **** off Heyman.

Big E vs Ziggler - Short, fast-paced match. Ziggler won despite AJ punching him in the face.

Christian vs ADR - Good match to end the feud.

Big Ratings vs 3MB - Obvious result but 3MB did a good job putting them over. Solid promo from the Shield. I expect Show and Henry to win the tag titles at NOC.

Cesaro vs Young - Solid match. Young's in-ring work has improved greatly since his Nexus days. I knew Young was going over but I would have preferred Cesaro to win.

Bryan vs Barrett (Steel Cage) - Good match but they didn't allocate enough time for it.

Verdict: Solid post-SummerSlam show.

Zayn vs Cesaro was great, but far from MotY. Cena vs Punk after the Rumble, Punk vs Lesnar and Cena vs Bryan from Summerslam are all much better.

I am super excited for Zayn/Generico's eventual rise into the main roster, and Cesaro continues looking like an absolute beast.

Everyone left in a walk out... There was only like Punk, HHH, Sheamus and Cena (I think...). I don't remember exactly, but was less then you just listed. No bell ringer, no commentators, no referee... so Sheamus and Cena have a match with HHH as the ref and Punk (getting double pay) as both Commentator and Bell ringer (and got to wear Triple H's Blazer).

The angle actually lasted a good while, I think half an hour or so, but Vince come back and gave control to Laurinitis (temporary). I think they sort of expect us to remember his willingness to do a show, no matter who doesn't show up.

Then there is the obvious, that no one has talked about it (at least not on air) to get everyone on the same side, which obviously is NOT going to happen since most of the "bad" guys are going to be happy with the situation at hand (since they all more or less hate DB).

I figure they want everyone to think exactly what you said though.... "Why don't they all do it, surely he can't fire all of them!" Ruffle are feathers a bit.

The biggest thing though, and I know this won't really sink in as much as I would like it too... But the biggest thing is that they know you know this is all Entertainment, so if they want everyone to be scared of losing their jobs, that is exactly what everyone is going to do, and although the angle is definitely done to elicit a reaction from the crowd and us watching at home, we know that it's all in the name of Entertainment, and DB will end up going over at the end of this thing.

My only thought about this story line was, you know what... This isn't a Randy Orton vs Daniel Bryan Feud. This is a Daniel Bryan vs Triple H feud, with Triple H having pawns in The Shield and Randy Orton (or "tool"). Guess they aren't as confident in Randy as I thought they were.
