<p>I can't even tell you the last time I sat through an episode of TNA. However I usually know enough to get me by. I looked at the card this Sunday and have a few questions.</p><p> </p><p>

Where is Bully Ray? Isn't this guy supposed to be killing it right now and one of if not the top guy in the company? Angle's out with a legit injury and they already kayfabed the beatdown what two or three weeks ago? Why is he even still being promoted as being on the card? I thought Bad Influence where heels is Chris Sabin a heel as well? Is there any storyline reason they are teaming together? Sam Shaw sounds like a fairly new guy I don't recall him being on the show a few months ago. Isn't he "stalking" Hemme? Is Anderson fighting for her or does he have a seperate issue with him? Aren't the Bromanns a comedy tag team for all intents and purposes? Certainly not a serious enough tag team (although didn't they just win the titles) to be in a slot like this. The last I knew of anything TNA was Abyss "walking out" or whatever. What is Eric Young doing now if anything? I probably have a million more questions but I figure thats more TNA than any one person should have to answer.</p>

Styles won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Bound for Glory, he was stripped of the title after walking out of the company. TNA then began a World Title tournament to crown a new champion, with Magnus prevailing. Styles returned on the January 5, 2014 edition of Impact Wrestling still claiming to be the legitimate champion as he was never defeated for the title. He then lost to Magnus due to TNA President Dixie Carter directing a heavy amount of interference against Styles, making Magnus undisputed champion. Samoa Joe then stepped up to challenge Magnus, labeling him a "paper champion". On the January 30 edition of Impact Wrestling, Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle defeated Magnus and Ethan Carter in a stipulated tag match. After the match, Storm further taunted Gunner. On the January 23 special episode of Impact Wrestling, Gunner beat Storm in a ladder match with his Feast or Fired briefcase on the line. On the January 30th episode of Impact Wrestling, Storm apologized to Gunner for his previous actions, and later won a tag team match that night with Gunner against Bad Influence. Shaw later became an obsessed fan of Hemme, and started asking her on dates, including one in his house where it was shown how Shaw had a room full of posters and pictures of Hemme. On the February 6 episode of Impact Wrestling, Hemme confronted Shaw about the mannequin and the room full of posters. He's good in the ring and he has enough personality to sell a regional promotion's belt. But as far as a company of TNA's size, much less the size they aspire to be, I always felt Shelley was the Machine Gun better suited for that. Sabin should be more the "tag specialist" veteran who helps charismatic rookies get their feet under them and get established at TNA's level. Or if he's going to be a single more where they have him now than as a world champ. His promos may have conviction but he's not the kind of showman you want on top in TNA's product.</p>

<p>I have to say, from a purely "in ring" point of view, TNA is packed with talent. They just need some consistency with stories, and try not to over complicate them where by they turn into a huge mess that people stop caring about. Leave the CHIKARA length storylines to a promotion that can do them. Another thing, TNA needs to go back to being an alternative to the WWE instead of a cheap mans version of WWE.... Sunday Night Heat.</p><p> </p><p>

Samuel Shaw is someone I really like at the moment, and I'll be the first to admit when he was in Gut Check I thought he was useless. The improvement he's shown in both character and intensity is to be commended. His psycho/stalker gimmick is something different and hopefully they can make him seem like a dangerous man (he already plays the unhinged part pretty well).</p><p> </p><p>

Bro-Mans suck. Jessie is a decent talent, but as I said when he first came in, Zema Ion is complete bollocks. Annoying as hell. I can't take Robbie E seriously either. They have had their day as tag team champions. And why the hell they were chosen over Bad Influence to partner Roode makes no sense whatsoever. It's like WWE putting Los Matadores in with Daniel Bryan against The Shield instead of say The Usos.</p><p> </p><p>

Bad Influence vs. The Wolves is a Tag team Title feud I (and a few hundred thousand others no doubt) would much rather see. The matches they could put together would be amazing.</p><p> </p><p>

I think I may be the only one, but I really like the Ethan Carter III gimmick. Yeah the guy needs a little work on his promo's (especially what facial expressions to make and at what time) but with a little work, I can see him being a big part of any future TNA may have. In the same light, I'm probably the only person that couldn't care less about Jeff Hardy. Him and his brother Matt have sucked since the Hardy Boyz broke up.</p><p> </p><p>

With any luck Bully Ray will be back soon. I don't want to see him help Samuel Shaw beat Ken Anderson, I think he needs to get a new feud going when he comes back, but who that is I'm not sure.</p><p> </p><p>

Kenny King looks like he's returning with a new look/gimmick so that should be interesting.</p><p> </p><p>

The Gunner v. James Storm feud is of little interest to me, probably because I HATE (and have done for years) James Storm. I would love for him and Zema Ion to announce their retirements tomorrow. It is the only time I will ever make any noise (other than the click of my mute button) whilst James Storm is on my TV. I have "Cena" hate for this guy.</p><p> </p><p>

Chris Sabin as a heel doesn't work. He just lacks any real charisma and his promos with Velvet are like watching a really, really, REALLY bad teen movie. The guy cannot act for s***. Excellent in ring talent though.</p><p> </p><p>

Nice to see TNA getting in a couple more Knockouts. That division was becoming extremely stale (Maddison Rayne being back is a big plus).</p><p> </p><p>

Tigre Uno... I hope TNA don't make him look like a joke. Extreme Tiger is one of my top 10 favourite Lucha Libre stars so I hope he gets a good run in TNA.</p><p> </p><p>

Just some of my thoughts/opinions on TNA right now.</p>

Screw you man, BroMans are awesome. :)

Don't know I'd put I quite so harshly but I agree with this sentiment. I find them to be quite the paradox. I would be inclined to say that they are three of the best of their kind of wrestler out there at the moment. I may be a smart fan and understand the booking process thanks to the years of experience with Promotion Wars, EWR and the TEW series. But I fire up the DVR to watch Impact, I seek to do so as markishly as possible. There's plenty time to think in terms of mic skills and selling and such after the TV goes off.

So while the BroMans are incredibly annoying to watch and I am quite happy when they are made to shut up, I also get that this is the point of their gimmick. Their job is to irk the audience make people want to see them lose. And when the TV's off and I can think in cold, rational terms, I don't see how it can be denied that they are absolutely killing the tasks that are in their job description. As such they are as strong at being sports entertainment heels as The Wolves are at knocking the ring work out of the park. So to my mind it makes total sense that the titles are ping ponging between the Wolves and BroMans. They both represent pinnacles of their respective kinds and are natural rivals. It may irk my inner mark that the BroMans even exist but that's the paradox of them. It's because they are so annoying that they deserve it. In an RoH or a more Japanese minded promotion, this would be absurd. But in the sports entertainment environment that dominates the upper levels of American wrestling, I couldn't ask for a better contrast than the BroMans and the Wolves. That will just make it all the better when the Wolves prove to be more complete packages and ultimately win the day.

This. You always need hammy and slimy douches in wrestling. They lose clean and win dirty all while proclaiming themselves as better than the competition. Daniels and Kazarian are too entertaining and talented to be true heels in the eyes of the fans plus the Wolves are pretty vanilla and making them go against Bad Influence will just expose them too much at the moment

Bingo bango, couldn't have said it better myself.

Anyway, I think I'm going to check Lockdown out tonight. I'm intrigued as to who Angle's replacement is. I'm thinking Sting or Angle guts it out and wrestles anyway.

Card looks real good on paper, so it's at least worth a watch.

<p>You know the funny thing is that Jessie was on the American version of Big Brother and I hated the dude. The guy was hands down one of the most annoying people ever to compete on the show and that is saying a lot because they usually cast some very hate worthy people on the show (Like the racist chick from last year, or the rocker dad that tried to burn a girl with a lit cigarette). I mean Jessie was so annoying/hate inspiring that he competed in two seasons and then he came back for three more seasons as a punishment.</p><p> </p><p>

What I mean by that is for three seasons in a row the producers used Jessie as a punishment "prize". The punishment was having to be around Jessie for a period of time.<img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Anyway, what made me despise him on Big Brother actually makes me like him in TNA. It is so weird but it is true, I like The BroMans and I even laugh when Zema does that annoying horn noise. The three of them are a more likable version of the WWE's Three Man Band.</p><p> </p><p>

Granted I am not sure if I would be willing to suffer through another summer of Jessie on Big Brother.</p>

I'm looking forward to watching pretty much all of it from top to bottom, including Extreme Tiger vs TJ Perkins, albeit I'm not sure they warrant a cage match on ppv, but that's the show gimmick so it is what it is.</p><p> </p><p> Not sure on EC3's opponent. When are TNA going to realise how to build a champion? They seem oblivious that making EVERY World title match a clusterf*** of cheating and swerves only serves to kill what little prestige their title has. Abyss aligning with Magnus makes zero sense. It's a shame because I really enjoyed Lockdown except that match. Title matches in TNA mean jack these days.

I got in too late to get the Joseph Park character and since seeing him with the Park look, he doesn't look right in the mask either. I couldn't make it through Lockdown. Not sure what bothered me so much about it, the matches weren't that bad, but there was just something off. I'm going to watch Impact tonight to see where they go from here. Spoiler below:

Angelina Love is apparently returning tonight. Pretty pumped about that.

Nice opening segment. I like Abyss's new look, but I think it'd be better if he still had his long hair.

<p>Can't really put my finger on what it is but really digging TNA at the moment, It's been alot of fun the past few months...</p><p> </p><p>

Maybe its because I live in the UK without Sky and its the only wrestling I get, Or maybe its the fact that despite never really being into wrestling ever my wife is onto it and digging the product... (she's become a huge Magnus fan and also really likes Aries and Roode) </p><p> </p><p>

Heck, I've even gone from having an intense hate of the Bromans to actually finding them very entertaining. </p><p> </p><p>

Also really digging the international flavour at the moment, Tigre Uno is fantastic, like a little rubber ball shot out a cannon. </p><p> </p><p>

Sure I'll agree there are maybe alot of things they have done wrong this year, but I'm invested in their product enough to look past the flaws.</p>

Even this past week, Magnus himself couldn't cheat to win. He needed to have Abyss involved to throw a chair at Joe's head in order to get the tainted finish. Just once, I'd like Magnus to be involved in the finish completely.</p>
