What's going on in your game?

Recommended Posts

Same NOTBPW game, July 2010. Just realized that I'm a month farther off from the PPV I was building towards than I thought (this is why I'm bad at this) but here's what my card for Summer Smash (mid-August PPV) is looking like:

Steve DeColt vs. Sean McFly ©

-Honestly, this has become feud #2, with McFly more involved with the Stones vs. The Business feud, but it was always simmering with DeColt doing commentary for a lot of McFly's matches. With McFly not in the 5 on 5 match because he's defending his title, DeColt is the logical challenger, finally cashing in his rematch.

The Business (R.K. Hayes, Steve Frehley, Mighty Cavanagh, Omar Brown & Harlem Haynes) vs. The Stone Siblings, Iron Technique [Tim Westybrook & Harrison Hash] & Dark Angel

-As soon as McFly won the belt, I had The Business as his first challengers to mess with him. They haven't been able to get by him and the Stones are putting a lot of pressure on Hayes, building to this feud. Iron Technique are pretty much in there "to fight" and Dark Angel takes the place of McFly.

Johnny Bloodstone vs. Kirk Jameson

-I was really hunting for something for Bloodstone to do on this show and then in a throwaway match on tv, he gave Kirk Jameson's tag partner, Mainstream Hernandez, a semi-severed spinal column. Instant feud, problem solved.

The Can-Am Blondes © vs. The Fighting Irish vs. Silent & Deadly [John Maverick & Julian Watson]

-This just serves the purposes of getting Maverick a match and also defending the tag titles on the show. The Irish are in there so it isn't heel vs. heel.

Melody © vs. ???

-Probably gonna borrow someone from USPW for this match. My Women's division is getting way under represented and I dunno where I'm gonna get someone with overness to face Melody besides Kristabel Plum who faced all the heels plenty of times when she was champ.

So far, I feel pretty proud of myself for making it half a year, having semi-coherent storylines and not having changed the product to allow for angles.

<p>Welp...</p><p> </p><p>

I am the Head Booker of Extreme Rising in a Real World mod... I have gotten us to Cult size. I have gotten Trent Barretta, Drew McIntyre, Eddie Edwards, Matt Hardy, Homicide and also my one created guy who I put into my world who entered within thr past 2 years. My created guy who I gave his start to got into my company and started getting popular after only a few months. Got some other deals. ROH takes him on a written deal. ROH also took away Homicide, Matt Hardy also. Few months after they take Eddie Edwards from me. Now a good 8-12 months later my created guy is released(still cant bring him back), They sign Drew McIntyre and Trent Barretta from me.</p><p> </p><p>

This has taken away 5 Main eventers and one 19 year old phenom who is just getting popular. This isnt good when your roster has 50 year old guys who cant work for their life. My card is officially going to shit.</p><p> </p><p>

Pretty soon Champagne Lover and Raven are gonna be taken I bet <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

But on an epic side note **Mark Cuban took over WWE just now. Never seen that before.</p><p> </p><p>

Also I applied to be Head Booker now. Rip Chord got the job over me...</p><p> </p><p>

Oh and ROH release 2 of my guys they took recently. I forgot to add a main event guy they took. </p><p> </p><p>

Thanks ROH. You steal my talent than cut them so I cant bring them back in. Assholes</p>

Im about 3-4 years in a Real World Mod. TNA and WWE are still top 2 in USA. But ROH and DGUSA/Evolve have both gotten into the International or Global level. ROH at Global DGUSA at International. WWE has heavily been losing workers to both but mainly DGUSA. The second a guy in WWE gets a 30 day contract warning(i have most of WWE shortlisted) DGUSA snatches them up.

But thge top 5 promotions in the world are 1. WWE, 2 TNA, 3 ROH, 4 NJPW, 5. DGUSA.

USA has been destroying it lately. Mark Cuban bought WWE and ever since it has been a shit storm from hell.

Since ive started this game WWE has lost: Evan Bourne, Curt Hawkins, Drew McIntyre, Michael McGullicuty, Percy Watson, Rosa Mendez, Bo Dallas, Jack Swagger, Jerry Lawler, Layla, Justin Roberts, Tony Chimel, Paul Heyman, Alicia Fox, Ted DiBiase Jr, Gene Okerland, Trent Barretta, Pat Paterson.

All those guys since the start of 2013 in my game. Some minor names but also some guys who could have been future stars. DGUSA has been making a massive name for themselves along with ROH.

I imported SWF almost a year ago now maybe a bit more. BRet Hart took over as Owner. He is also Head Booker and wont step down from it. He has destroyed them to a sad Cult sized company.

DGUSA also just took 2 of my top guys in my company(1 being Louis Ramos and the other being a fake guy I made out of my cousin).

But ROH keeps signing like 10 people than firing them or other workers the next day or week. Very few guys have lasted in ROH more than 3-5 months besides their top talent(which is several of the guys who helped me build up Extreme Rising)

So im playing as MAW, trying to go to the top. It's January 2016, and I'm running two shows a month, a B show in the great lakes region called "In Your House" (yeah i know, but hey im an early 90's wwf mark, go figure) and then the Regular monthly A show in the mid atlantic.

Oh By the way, Rip Chord has retired and Jay Chord is my owner.

I've really just been putting on "great" matches and working steadily to get some people over just on thier matches and stats. I haven't used storylines at all. Again, just trying to good matches with good wrestlers.

Unfortunatly I've been in the "WCW" mindset of buying big names and bringing them in and not working my undercard very well, er...at all. So im really working on building them, but thats a different story.

Right now, Teddy Powell is my Champion with Prestige A+, he's been holding it since November, taking it off of Jack Avatar (yeah yeah i know) who held it for just over 2 years with with 28 defences, and the man who held it before that was Steven Parker for the 2nd time, holding it for 2 years and 22 defences. With Jay Chord always being in the mix, just never holding the strap, but becoming a "star" none the less.

So now i've been working on a story line to just help drive MAW with the names i have around the title here it goes:

Jay Chord and Avatar both want the title, feeling they are the #1 contenders. Chord saying he's never held the strap and it's his time now the "backstager" has dropped it. Avatar interrupts with the, "I just lost, It's mine for the rematch taking" stichk. They each trade a couple of matches until ROB REYNOLDS interfers putting Chord over in their "tie breaker" match.

Rynolds wants in on "The Succession" stable, saying "they're the next big thing, he's got natural and is on the rise". Avatar takes him on in a match, where Chord comes down to interfere, and REMMY HONEYMAN, The "King of the Ladder" Title (an undercard title i have) holder comes to help out Avatar, putting him over Reynolds.

Now they pair off and trade tag matches, and causing a Honeyman vs Reynolds feud for the "King of the ladder" title. Everything comes to a head on one of the A shows.

Honeyman wins over Reynolds, but gets "injured" and taken away. The Succession beats the shit out of Reynolds, telling him even if he won the title, he'd never be like them. They would have beat him and took the title anyways."

Chord vs Avatar for #1. Avatars about to win, The succession comes out to help Chord win, Reynolds comes out to save the the day for the TURN to face. Avatar goes over Chord for the win.

This sets up a Chord vs Reynolds feud, Avatar free to feud up with Teddy for the title, and Honeyman to get in the next undercard title race. he's the future of MAW. Yes he is. That's right, i'm a honeyman mark.

I'm long winded, so thanks for reading ALL of this. tell me what ya think.

<p>Just started a WWE 2013 game just passed Summerslam, have done some hiring for developmental plus some extra roster spots.</p><p> </p><p>

Hired MsChif and Jimmy Jacobs, as the younger sister of Erick Rowan and the younger brother of Bray Wyatt. Thinking of down the road having romance between them, in that creepy sort of way that would fit in with the story. Might lead to a break in the group as well.</p><p> </p><p>

Daniel Bryan won the belt in a five way scramble match, which featured Ryback, Cena, Henry, and Show.</p><p> </p><p>

Punk lost to Lesnar thanks to interference from new Heyman guy Colt Cabana.</p><p> </p><p>

Ziggler beat Del Rio for the World title on the first Raw in August, after retaining on Smackdown in Del Rio's rematch, Ziggler was attacked by Jericho. They had an awesome match at Summerslam that Ziggler won, and that feud will be going strong going into Night of Champions</p>

Eh, I guess I'll share what's been going on in my game.

I've been playing No Holds Barred, a real-world mod starting in 1989. I'm currently in May 1990, and playing as the NWA. I've gotten to International size, and throughout the game I've turned off owner goals and the Regional/National War feature. I turned off owner goals because it was getting in the way of me signing (or attempting to sign) guys I really wanted. I turned off the war feature because I really didn't feel like I could compete against the WWF AI.

Anyway... I lost a couple of my big stars, like Bam Bam Bigelow, to larger companies. Bigelow took a written deal with New Japan. I signed Ricky Steamboat while I was cult, but before I could get to National, WWF signed him to a PPA as well. Now I can't get him to sign an exclusive deal with me because he doesn't want to give up other, more lucrative deals.

I got rid of a lot of negative influences in the locker room (my backstage rating is now 100%), and put a much higher focus on good workers, be they brawlers or ring technicians, with good psychology. I tried to get Harlem Heat, but could only get Stevie Ray, as Booker refused to leave the PWF.

I signed guys like Steve Austin, Dean Malenko, Ultimo Dragon, Steven (William) Regal, and others. One potential mistake I made was signing Atsushi Onita, as his low stamina (a D rating) makes it very difficult to get anything out of him, and I don't really know how to increase it.

In early May 1990, PNW owner Don Owen retired and left the industry, leaving PNW with no owner. So I decided to attempt a takeover of the company. Much to my surprise, they accepted. Dean Malenko was already the PNW Heavyweight Champion, so I took that belt. The Rock 'N Roll Express were the PNW Tag Champs, so I took them and the belts. And since it was already May, I took the PNW Anniversary Show event. And that's really all I purged.

At NWA's PNW Anniversary Show, I unified the NWA World and PNW Heavyweight Championships as The Great Muta defeated Dean Malenko. I also unified the NWA and PNW Tag Team Championships as the Midnight Express defeated the Rock N Roll Express. I'm thinking of cutting the RNRE from the company now that I took their belts.

I kind of wish TEW had a Unification feature specifically for unifying belts. Like, make some sort of note in the lineage, share some prestige, or roll two belts into a new one. Oh well. Maybe in TEW2015, or whenever the next one is.

Anyway, Since my rise from Cult, I've been hemorrhaging money. The past two months have seen the NWA lose over a million dollars each. So far I'm turning a profit for May, but the month is just about over, and I can see things going south once more. Luckily I was able to work out slightly better TV deals this time around. TBS shafted me with our first negotiations in February, not taking anything less than 100% ad revenue and making us pay 100% of the production costs for both shows. (I got rid of the B-show on Fridays.) And since I'm owned by Turner, I'm stuck with TBS and TNT as my only television options, worldwide. Thankfully the mod has TNT reaching every region except Japan, but they won't let me sign on with them because I'm not popular enough in their regions. Feh.

Along with Muta being my World champ and the Midnights being the Tag champs, Stunning Steve Austin is my TV Champ and Barry Windham is my US Champ.

Elsewhere in the game world, Ultimate Warrior is still the WWF IC Champion, Andre The Giant is the WWF World Champion, and a babyface Brutus Beefcake and a heel Hulk Hogan (yes, they turned Hulk) are the WWF Tag Champs.

I also have a watcher game of No Holds Barred. I'm at September 1992 in that one. A lot faster going in watcher games.

The NWA has done some interesting things. The AI got it to National and then Global far faster than I could achieve. The NWA Tag Team Champions are Sting and Warrior (yes, they signed away Warrior), though they haven't formed an actual team yet. The NWA Television Champion is Sid. Dan Spivey is the US Champion. The US Title has become a disgrace, with a D Prestige compared to the C+ it started with. In comparison, the Tag Titles have a B- Prestige. Terry Funk is the current NWA World Heavyweight Champion (with an A* Prestige). Probably the most surprising NWA World Champ that the AI has booked is Mike Rotundo. Others include Bam Bam Bigelow, Scott Steiner, Bob Orton, and Sid Vicious. Along with the obvious Ric Flair (currently an eight time champ).

Over on the WWF side, Roddy Piper is the IC Champ, The Hart Foundation are the Tag Champs, and Hulk Hogan is the WWF Champ. Hogan and Rick Rude are the only two wrestlers to be WWF Champion in this game so far.

ECW debuted earlier this year, with Victor Jovica as the owner and Len Denton as the booker. King Kong Bundy is the ECW Champion. Bundy is also one half of the ECW Tag Champions, alongside none other than Paul Levesque.

AAA also debuted, with Kanji Higuchi as the owner (interesting choice) with Mil Mascaras as the head booker.

In the AWA, it's currently owned and booked by Bill Watts. I believe Vern Gagne left the business.

Stu Hart also left the business, so CSW is in the hands of Keith Hart, being booked by Sandy Barr. But since Keith's contract with Stampede was a PPA, he's been hired (after becoming owner) by AJW and AJPW. He's also retired, but I don't know if he starts the game retired or not.

SMW and APW debuted, as well, and they wasted no time in declaring war on each other. No idea why. Somehow Gary Young is signed to both APW and SMW, and is a champion in both. Neither signing is showing in his recent news, either. Odd.

I think that covers the interesting stuff.

This is a bit of a necro, but with TEW 2010 on Steam and apparently having some new players coming into it, I'll risk ressurecting it, as I need to share with you what's happened in my game.

Greg Gauge, the prodigal son of the legendary Sam Keith and brother of the awesome Matt Keith, the boy who at 20 years old is better than most US workers will ever be, the man who was singled out by those in the know as having tremendous potential for the future, got his spinal column partially severed during a botched stunt in his GCG match (against another second generation star-in-making, Mabuchi Furusawa, who is normally considered a very safe worker). This puts Greg out of any kind of competition for 14 months, and could possibly mean he'll never fully recover and fulfill his potential.

I know these are just fictional characters, but I genuinely feel sad right now.
