USPW: A Slow Ride To The Top

Recommended Posts

First of all, I wanted to thank everyone for their insight and answers to the questions that I posed. Streamlined definitely seems like the way to go. However, to make them special and stand out, the pay-per-views will probably have some longer writeups. That way they do stand out from the normal American Wrestling card. Also, hopefully, I will have built up the feud well enough on the tv shows that you want to read the pay-per-view match and see what happens in it.

:D I haven't yet made a decision on whether or not to go with the cheat code. That means that as of right now I haven't gone with it.

Not to single anyone out per se but the comments from BHK1978 and jhd1 really do mean a lot to me. I have had a poor history at times when it comes to diaries and keeping them going. But the fact that so many are enjoying my diary and commenting and all truly makes this fun worthwhile for me to do. Other than Watcher games, I have not run a game in TEW 2010 that has not been a diary. In other words, I've run two games in the simulation: this one and my NWA diary.

The predictions and comments on why they chose the predictions are wonderful to me as well. I always like reading these things because it allows me to see things from a different perspective. I have even made changes to my plans at times based on what people have commented and on what it seems the people like to see. Sometimes pushes can be given based on the comments that you make or at the very least tv time is given to those who the readers enjoy moreso than anyone else. Which possibly means more Anger! lol. Though he hasn't been given the tv time that he was given in my previous diary.

But to sum this all up, I just want to say thank you to my readers, predictors, commentors. I hope you all have enjoyed and will continue to enjoy my writings as more and more of the story unfolds.

USPW AMERICAN WRESTLING!

Wednesday Week 2 July 2010

Location: Huntsville Fairgrounds (South East)

Attendance: 5,000

Overall Rating: C

TV Rating: 1.76

There was a feeling that some of the angles used did not reach the standards set by the in-ring action.

There was a general feeling that the promotion should really be offering more storylines to follow, given that it's supposed to focus on the entertainment aspect of wrestling.

I think this show might have actually hurt our popularity overall.

Pre Show: A music video is shown to promote Fumihiro Ota...C-

Pre Show: Joanne Rodriguez comes out and fires T-Shirts into the crowd...C+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The show begins inside the Huntsville Fairgrounds where a sold-out crowd is on their feet. The cameras pan around the crowd and even pick up a sign: 'You don't know the power of the Dark side!' The crowd begins to boo when a figure steps out from the back...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AndreJones.jpg

[...The former USPW World Television Champion Andre Jones comes out with his eyes focused solely on the ring. He steps inside and he is handed a microphone...]

Andre Jones

"Last week, I was humbled by a mystery opponent. Art Reed, you were the better man on one night. You better enjoy the feeling because next time you might not be so lucky. You see, week in and week out I defended the USPW World Television Title against all-comers. I was the most fighting champion in USPW. I didn't see Peter Valentine defending the National title as much as I defended my belt. I want to thank each and every one of you for coming out and watching as I defended the belt with pride and honor. I'm not saying that I was always the best man for the job but I did what it took to stay on top. I did what it took to defend my belt. I..."

[...Andre was cut off from his words by some familiar music. The crowd rose up in boos as another figure walked out and headed for the ring...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Liberty_jhd2.jpg

[...James Justice walked out to a chorus of boos and stepped inside the ring. He asked for a microphone and was given one...]

James Justice

"Alright, Andre, now that your little pandering to the few fans you actually have is over, you can step out of MY ring. My ring has no place for losers like you except to be pinned by guys like me."

[...The crowd booed Justice, definitely hating Justice more than Andre Jones...]

Andre Jones

"Is that so, Mr. Liberty? Why don't you put your body where your mouth is and face me inside the ring?"

James Justice

"I wouldn't lower my standards that low. So you just go on to the back where the losers are and stay away from my ring because this ring will never belong to the likes of you."

[...Andre moved to leave, sliding between the ropes as Justice glared at him. Then he thought better of it and entered the ring again, approaching Justice and decking him with a left fist! Justice fell to the mat! He got back up and was clotheslined over the top rope by Andre Jones! Andre got the crowd pumped for that and rose up his arms while Justice held his jaw and backed up the ramp. It seems the fans are really taking a new-found liking to Andre Jones.]

Match #1

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ShawnGonzalez_jhd.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/EricTyler.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JaredJohnson.jpg

Shawn Gonzalez vs. Jared Johnson

[No surprise here that Shawn Gonzalez was mostly dominant in this match. Jared Johnson got in a few good shots and shocked the crowd by getting a near-fall on Gonzalez but Gonzalez was able to get back up and take down Johnson with a big spinebuster. He grabbed the legs and twisted Johnson over into a Latino Crab. Within moments, Johnson was tapping.]

Winner: Shawn Gonzalez (Via Submission @ 4:02)

Match Rating: C-

[...Gonzalez stretched back harder after the bell sounded, having Johnson crying out in pain. The fans booed Gonzalez until a figure came running in from the back...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ChrisCaulfield_alt1.jpg

[...Caulfield slid inside the ring as Gonzalez released the hold and the two began exchanging punches! Neither man backed off and it took several wrestlers coming down to keep the two apart. It is official! These two will meet inside the ring at USPW Independence Day Slam!]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #2

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/DemonAnger.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ShaneSneer.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/PeteTheHillbilly.jpg

Anger vs. Pete The Hillbilly

[As usual, the show has a bathroom break/concession stand match and this was it for the fans. Anger got some advice from the coke bottle before the match and went on to dominate against Pete for a little over 2 minutes. Anger dropped Pete with the Demon Slam and made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Anger (Via Pinfall @ 2:14)

Match Rating: E+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The big video screen lights up and we are taken backstage to the interview area...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/NickyChampion_alt.jpg

[...Where new National Champion Nicky Champion is standing by...]

Nicky Champion

"James, you better not let yourself get too distracted dealing with other people. In just a couple of weeks, you and I will be going one on one for this gold belt. I'm not planning to lose this belt either. I will be showing you my own version of the Independence Day Slam. It involves a HAMMER!"

[...Nicky throws a hammer at the camera and we head back to the ring.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #3

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TedBrady.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/DesDavids.jpg

Ted Brady vs. Des Davids

[Another short, dominating match here on American Wrestling. These two showed pretty good chemistry in the ring with Ted Brady selling pretty well for Davids. During the match, a fan held up a sign: 'I flew in from Rancho Cucamonga just to see Ted Brady!' However, Brady barely got in any offensive moves before Davids caught him with the Quarterback Sack! Davids made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Des Davids (Via Pinfall @ 1:44)

Match Rating: C-

[...Des had his arm raised by referee Robbie Sanchez. He got the crowd pumped and then turned right into a treetrunk-like arm!...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/GiantRedwood.jpg

[...As was obvious, Giant Redwood clotheslined Des Davids down to the mat and then stomped a few feet onto the former football player. Redwood raised his arms up to boos from the crowd before bouncing off the ropes and then stopping right in front of Davids -- Standing Splash! Timber! Several wrestlers came down to break this up and Redwood was walked away smiling.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #4

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AmberAllen.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AliciaStrong.jpg

Amber Allen vs. Alicia Strong

[A decent match for a women's bout though nowhere near as strong as when Alicia faced off with Belle. Alicia was mostly dominant in this pretty short bout. The Cheerleader Amber Allen never even knew what hit her when she was taken down by the Strong Arm Tactic! Alicia made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Alicia Strong (Via Pinfall @ 3:44)

Match Rating: D+

[...A big win for Alicia Strong here tonight but a hand reached out and grabbed her hair spinning her around until she hit face-first on the mat...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/CherryBomb.jpg

[...Cherry Bomb continued the attack on Alicia Strong, dropping her with the finisher of the same name. Cherry ran her fingers through her hair, messing up those red locks and falling back in the corner, rocking back and forth with the fallen Alicia Strong in the middle of the ring. Needless to say, Cherry Bomb is NUTS!]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[Next week right here on USPW American Wrestling, we are going to have a major main event!...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BrucetheGiant.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BryanHolmes.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TysonBaine.jpg

[...USPW World Champion Enygma teams up with former USPW World Champion Bruce The Giant and the two of them face off with top contender Bryan Holmes and Tyson Baine! What a match that should be and it's only right here on USPW American Wrestling next week!]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #5

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/PeterValentine.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ArtReed.jpg

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW_TV.jpg

USPW World Television Title Match

Peter Valentine gets a shot vs. Art Reed©

[The former National Champion had his opportunity to get his hands on some gold tonight as he faced off with USPW World Television Champion Art Reed for the belt that Reed won last week. As Valentine was walking down to the ring, he stopped and sneered at a sign in the crowd: 'Dude The Peter Valentine guy is Ugly so why's he called Valentine?' but he did just keep on walking this time. The veteran Valentine got in some early shots on Reed but Reed managed to power his way back into the match. Valentine used a rake of the eyes to regain the advantage and went for the Heartbreaker but Reed managed to wiggle free. He dropped Valentine with a German Suplex and then locked on the Dread Lock! Within moments, Valentine had no choice but to tap out!]

Winner: Art Reed (Via Submission @ 6:38; Art Reed retains the USPW World Television Title)

Match Rating: D+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The big video screen lit up and it had to be big to show these two guys...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BrucetheGiant.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TysonBaine.jpg

[...Backstage, Bruce The Giant and Tyson Baine were exchanging punches! Both men were trying to knock the other one down but neither of them were successful. Bruce threw a punch that rocked Tyson Baine backward! He went for a clothesline but Baine moved and shoved Bruce against the wall, throwing some hard punches to the lower back/kidney area. Several wrestlers stepped in and did their best to break this fight up and we headed back to the ring.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #6

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/GregGauge.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma.jpg

Greg Gauge vs. Enygma

[uSPW World Champion Enygma had his usual flashy entrance. This time he was standing beside a sign reading: 'Enygma: The highest wrestler on the Gauge!' He hit the ring and the fight was on between him and the second generation wrestler selected to be his opponent tonight. This was a non title match but a win here would definitely propel Greg Gauge right up the rankings. Gauge surprised some within the audience by keeping up with Enygma. Others know how good Greg Gauge is because of his father's legacy. Gauge made a cover following a DDT: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout! Enygma started making his comeback following that kickout and the crowd got right behind the USPW World Champion! Enygma turned his focus to the ankle of Gauge and before long he locked in the Enygma Variation! Gauge tried to fight it but eventually everyone submits. Gauge tapped out.]

Winner: Enygma (Via Submission @ 5:54)

Match Rating: C

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #7

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BryanHolmes.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/SteveFlash.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/KatieCameron.jpg

Bryan Holmes vs. Steve Flash

[Now it's time for our main event matchup here on USPW American Wrestling and what a main event it is! Two top technical wrestlers and in the beginning they started exchanging hold for hold and ending up in stalemates until Holmes found some control over Flash in a headlock takeover. Holmes got a couple of near-falls before Flash managed to work his way to his feet. Flash pushed Holmes off to the ropes -- dropkick -- missed! Holmes held onto the top rope and Flash missed with the dropkick! Holmes grabbed the legs and flipped over into a pinning position: 1 -- 2 -- Flash bridges his way up! Both men get to their feet and Flash turns it into a backslide: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout! Flash took over control for the next few minutes with Katie Cameron shouting encouragement from ringside. Flash managed to toss Holmes out of the ring! He bounced off the ropes and leaped over the top rope coming crashing down on Holmes at ringside! The crowd went wild for the move rarely seen here in USPW...]

[...The match had gone back and forth with neither man really maintaining an advantage for an overly long period of time. At around the 15 minute mark, Steve Flash began to visibly show signs of fatigue. Flash was leaning on Holmes in some restholds and trying to regain some footing. He managed to trip Holmes to the mat and went the top turnbuckle! He took a little too much time there as he got up top. He leaped -- Flying Elbowdrop -- Missed! Holmes rolled out of the way! Holmes pulled himself up using the ropes and rolled up Flash, grabbing the tights: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout! The crowd erupted when Flash kicked out and Holmes looked frustrated! Holmes got to his feet again and waited for Flash to get up as well -- Cyclone Shock -- Nobody home! Holmes landed on the mat hard and Flash waited for him near the ropes. Holmes pulled himself up and moved to Flash -- Flash Ba -- NO! Holmes grabbed the top rope to keep himself from hitting with his neck. Holmes twisted himself behind Flash -- Full Nelson -- Final Impact! Holmes bridged: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Bryan Holmes (Via Pinfall @ 20:25)

Match Rating: B

[...What a huge hard-fought victory for Bryan Holmes! Can he do the same against Enygma at Independence Day Slam? Holmes got to his feet and shoved Katie Cameron out of the way as she came in to check on Flash. Holmes threw some hard forearm shots to the head of Flash to boos from the crowd. Then the lights dimmed and spotlights shone all around. Holmes looked up...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma.jpg

[...Enygma came in behind him! Enygma threw a couple of forearm shots to the back of his head! Enygma grabbed Holmes and tossed him over the top rope to the floor! The crowd erupted with cheers as Enygma stood tall to close the show. We'll see you next week!]

Ouch the angles and lack of storyline really hurt the overall rating. That should have been a B- minimum.

Yeah, I don't much like writing the storylines and that portion of the game, even with the unchained. I had just forgotten to turn off that part of the game. Needless to say that has been rectified. lol.

Darryl Devine vs. Steve Flash- Main event guy vs a guy I was suprised to still see on the roster :p so yeh Flash to win

Golden Delicious vs. Joanne Rodriguez- I just love J-Ro more simples :)

Jack Griffith vs. Chris Caulfield- If he's fighting Tyler and Shawn he's gonna need a hell of a lot of momentum

Greg Gauge vs. Andre Jones- New face turn, isn't gonna lose his first match straight off the bat

Non Title: Ted Brady vs. Nicky Champion- Champion has a huge match coming his way, he's not gonna lose any momentum at all

James Justice vs. Freddie Datsun- Despicable as always, can't see Dastun beating him

Tyson Baine and Bryan Holmes vs. Enygma and Bruce The Giant- I guess giving Holmes a win over Enygma would give reason for him having a rematch so that makes my decisions

Amazing diary as always Angel, I just love reading all that goes on man :) Brilliant stuff amigo

Glad you're enjoying things, my friend. I really like the match that you set up for me for winning the prediction contest. It definitely gives me a different way to go with some characters who might have started to get a little stagnate in their roles.

I was sure I had already predicted! Belated guesses from me...

Darryl Devine vs. Steve Flash

You've done well with Steve, and as anyone who read my diary knows I can't get excited about Devine.

Golden Delicious vs. Joanne Rodriguez

J-Ro's definitely the star of the two.

Jack Griffith vs. Chris Caulfield

I really enjoyed Griffith's early feud with Champion but he has tailed off from there. Caulfield to take the win.

Greg Gauge vs. Andre Jones

Tough one this, because Gauge made a huge impact and then lost a few whilst Jones did the opposite. Tainted win for Gauge.

Non Title: Ted Brady vs. Nicky Champion

Brady isn't on, or even near, the same level as Nicky.

James Justice vs. Freddie Datsun

As above. Still clinging to the hope that against authority, the Horsemen will reunite (even though technically, I split them up in the first place).

Tyson Baine and Bryan Holmes vs. Enygma and Bruce The Giant

I can't choose and we've not had a draw in a while!

Darryl Devine vs. Steve Flash

[The show kicks off with the entrance of Darryl Devine along with Seduction. The crowd boos him and even in some losses here lately he hasn't looked too bad. His opponent comes out to a much larger ovation from the crowd. Flash steps in the ring and is immediately assaulted by Devine. This turns into a pretty good back and forth match between these two. Devine got knocked out of the ring at one point and held Seduction in front of him so Flash couldn't get to him. This led to a catfight between Seduction and Katie Cameron outside the ring. During the match it was announced that Steve Flash and his tag team partner Robert Oxford would be getting a USPW World Tag Team Titles shot at USPW Independence Day Slam! Devine went for the Devine Dream Drop but Flash pushed him off. Devine bounced off the ropes and got dropped with the Flash Bang! Flash made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

[...Robert Oxford slid into the ring! He threw punches at both Towers and a dropkick sent Mick Muscles down! Flash managed to get to his feet and they both sent Rushmore to the ropes -- Double Dropkick! The crowd cheered as Shane Sneer got out of there and took the Towers with him! [...Eric Tyler and Shawn Gonzalez took seats in the front row. Eric has a microphone...]

Eric Tyler

"First of all, you Huntsville Hicks need to shut your mouths while I am talking."

[...No surprise that the boos get even louder...]

Eric Tyler

"Shawn and myself, we, are bringing the Hardcore Revolution to USPW. This company has been in dire need of a change for a very long time. Is there anyone within this company that doesn't need a hip replacement or a walker to get down to the ring? Even the announcers are old enough to remember the Civil War. But we have come to save this company from the graveyard that it has become. We have come to eliminate the fodder that this company calls its main event. We are going to begin at USPW Independence Day Slam with Chris Caulfield and we are not going to stop until we reach the top and that masked idiot known as Enygma. But it's not just Shawn and myself. No, we sent a few advanced scouts to this company who will reveal themselves in due time. Until then, welcome to the Hard Corps."

[...Eric puts the microphone down and sits in his seat along with Shawn Gonzalez. A hardcore revolution, huh?]

Match #2

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/GoldenDelicious.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JoanneRodriguez.jpg

Golden Delicious vs. Joanne Rodriguez

[A very short match that was just intended to show off J-Ro as she makes her in-ring debut here in USPW. The crowd didn't seem to care for the squash though J-Ro did her best to make it entertaining. There was a couple of signs in particular for J-Ro though: 'J-Ro for president!' and 'Hey, J-Ro will you marry me?' Joanne made sure to point to the signs and blow kisses to the ones holding them up. She took down Golden Delicious with the J-Rocker and made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Joanne Rodriguez (Via Pinfall @ 1:34)

Match Rating: D-

[...The crowd cheered a little more when Joanne got her hand raised in victory. But she was surprised when she was met with a Dish of the Day...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BelleBryden.jpg

[...Belle Bryden had slipped in the ring unnoticed and took down Joanne! The USPW Women's Champion smiled and raised the belt up high as she stood over Joanne Rodriguez. These two women will meet at USPW Independence Day Slam for that very title!]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The big video screen lit up to show the interview area...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AndreJones.jpg

[...The crowd cheered some at seeing the former USPW World Television Champion...]

Andre Jones

"Last week, I came out to the ring to make a statement. I came out to talk about the fact that I dropped my Television Title to Art Reed and to wish him a reign like I had but I got interrupted. I got interrupted by some 'dude' named James Justice. James, you haven't been relevant here in USPW for a very long time. It's time to let the younger generation step up and that's exactly what I'm going to do. You want a next big thing? I'll prove that's me tonight."

[...Of course Andre has a match later on this evening against another future superstar in Greg Gauge.]

Match #3

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JackGriffith.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ChrisCaulfield_alt1.jpg

Jack Griffith vs. Chris Caulfield

[The Hardcore American got a lot of cheers from the crowd when he walked out from the back. Though there were definitely two members of the audience who didn't cheer for him. They just sat there staring a hole through him as Caulfield entered the ring. 'Southern Justice' Jack Griffith showed some heart and determination in this bout against Caulfield, though it was a pretty short match. Griffith got a near fall with a DDT but Caulfield made his comeback and he never really looked back at that point. Caulfield took down Griffith with a Danger Drop and made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Chris Caulfield (Via Pinfall @ 4:48)

Match Rating: C

[...A big win for Caulfield but two men jumped the guardrail following the match...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/EricTyler.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ShawnGonzalez_jhd.jpg

[...Eric Tyler and Shawn Gonzalez stepped into the ring and came face-to-face with Caulfield! The Hardcore American went after both of them with punches and a clothesline! The numbers game caught up to Caulfield, though, with Eric Tyler giving him a shot to the back when Caulfield focused on Gonzalez. Gonzalez lifted Caulfield and dropped him with a backbreaker and then locked on the Latino Crab! The crowd booed heavily and wrestlers and road agents came out to break things up.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[As things were being broken up inside the ring, a video began to play on the big video screen...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW_IndependenceDay.jpg

[...This one showed highlights from USPW's July pay-per-view Independence Day Slam. It was shown where Java retired the USPW National title back in July of 2007. The next year was shown where Jumbo Jackson defeated Nicky Champion for the USPW World Television Title! The one USPW World Title change on this pay-per-view was shown where Giant Redwood defeated Captain USA for the title back in 2005. What will we see happen this year?]

Match #4

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/GregGauge.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AndreJones.jpg

Greg Gauge vs. Andre Jones

[Andre Jones came out and wrestled like he had something to prove and maybe he does. Too bad the bad chemistry bug reared its ugly head with these two young wrestlers going at it. They definitely showed their youth in the ring and it didn't make for a very exciting match. Jones managed to drop Gauge with the Blast From The Past Piledriver and made a cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Andre Jones (Via Pinfall @ 3:11)

Match Rating: D

[The big video screen lit up again and once again showed the interview area...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AliciaStrong.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/DesDavids.jpg

[...This time it's Alicia Strong and Des Davids standing side by side...]

Des Davids

"Red 21! Blue 47! Set! No, I'm just kidding Alicia. Though sometimes it does feel good to go back to some of those old football memories. But those days are done and I'm proud to be a member of the USPW roster. At Independence Day Slam, you and I are going to..team..up."

[...Des started getting distracted as he looked around. The cameras followed him as he charged a rather nerdy looking backstage hand. Des tackled him hard to the ground and then picked up his coffee cup, spiking it to the ground and shattering it as he did his victory dance...]

Alicia Strong

"Redwood? Cherry Bomb? Touchdown!"

[...Alicia smiled and went over to help the backstage worker as we headed back to the ring.]

Match #5

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TedBrady.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/NickyChampion_alt.jpg

Non Title

Ted Brady vs. Nicky Champion

[Another short squash match here though to most people it came as no surprise. These two met in the ring earlier in the year when Ted Brady came in as an associate of Jack Griffith's, who is the man that shaved Nicky bald. Nicky seemed to remember that as he dominated Ted Brady. He took him down with a brainbuster and sent him outside the ring just so he could whip him into the steel steps! The aggressive Nicky Champion came charging and hit Brady with a Hawkeye Hammer that had his head banging off those steel steps! Nicky rolled Brady into the ring and followed him in, making a cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Nicky Champion (Via Pinfall @ 3:52)

Match Rating: D+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[As Nicky celebrated with the fans, the big video screen lit up to once again show the interview area...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JimForce_jhdad4.jpg

[...This time it's a slightly distraught looking Jim Force...]

Jim Force

"My brother. My one and only brother wants to fight me. But he is tops within the dark side. He does not understand the true power of the Force. It is to be used for good, not evil. Doesn't he understand that? I have been a prevailor of good since my arrival in USPW. My Forcemaniacs have shown me the way time and time again. I will not fight you, brother but I will bring you down to the very depths of the force. I will show you the light within the power of the almighty force that you might do some good within that power. You will see that no one beats the mighty power of my force! Nobody!"

[...Jim stares at his hands as he stands there and we head back to the ring.]

Match #6

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Liberty_jhd2.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/FreddieDatsun.jpg

James Justice vs. Freddie Datsun

[Our semi main event here and what a singles match it proved to be. Datsun has been on a bit of a losing streak here in USPW but it didn't stop him from dominating the early goings of the match against Justice. Justice had been taking things easy and was nearly pinned and also nearly dropped with a Patriot Press. But he managed to hold onto the ropes to keep from being dropped. Instead, he dropped behind Datsun and leveled him with a neckbreaker. Justice got up and played to the crowd for a moment, getting boos and enjoying them as he always seems to do. Justice pulled Datsun to his feet and started working on his back, hitting a backbreaker and then a gutbuster for good measure. He body slammed Datsun in the center of the ring and then bounced off the ropes -- SSSSSSTTTTTTAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLSSSSSS -- It's the return of the DUDE KNEE DROP! Justice connected and then got back to his feet and waited for Datsun to slowly rise. When Datsun turned he was hooked -- Liberation Slam! Justice made the cover, hooking the leg: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: James Justice (Via Pinfall @ 11:22)

Match Rating: C+

Match #7

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TysonBaine.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BryanHolmes.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BrucetheGiant.jpg

Tyson Baine and Bryan Holmes vs. Enygma and Bruce The Giant

[Our main event match here on USPW American Wrestling. Baine and Holmes made their way out first, taking in the large amount of boos from the crowd. Then the lights dimmed and spotlights shone all through the audience. The spotlights finally turned their focus on one area. Enygma was standing on one side of a fan and Bruce was standing on the other! Enygma pointed to the sign: 'The Champ and the Giant: The greatest team on Earth' Bruce nodded and they both headed down to the ring. They stepped inside and Baine and Holmes bailed for the moment as the USPW World Champion and Bruce The Giant raised their arms to get cheers from the audience. Holmes started the match off with Enygma and they matched each other hold for hold with Holmes seeming even more impressed with Enygma. But Holmes managed to gain control and he tagged out to his partner Tyson Baine. Tyson looked dominant against the USPW World Champion! Tyson slammed Enygma into the corner and hit a few shoulderblocks to the chest. The crowd booed but Baine didn't seem to care. Baine hooked Enygma -- Doctor Bomb! The referee dropped down: 1 -- 2 -- Broken Up By Bruce! The referee moved to get Bruce out of the ring and this gave Holmes a chance to come in. Baine and Holmes dropped Enygma with a Spiked Power Bomb! The USPW World Champion looked battered and broken in the middle of the ring! Baine remained the legal man and he called for the Hades Bomb! He picked Enygma up from the ground by the throat and raised him into the air -- Enygma put both feet into the chest of Baine! He knocked Baine into his own corner. Baine tagged out to Holmes quickly while Enygma tried to get to his corner. Holmes cut him off and sent Enygma to the ropes -- enzuigiri by Enygma! He took Holmes down and then moved to crawl to his corner and -- he made the tag!...]

[...Bruce The Giant stepped in over the top rope and floored Bryan Holmes with a clothesline! Tyson Baine came in and he got a Giant Headbutt! Bruce picked up Baine and tossed him up and over the top rope! What strength shown by the Giant! Enygma ran down the apron and climbed the turnbuckle -- missle dropkick to the outside by Enygma on Tyson Baine! Back inside the ring, Holmes kicked the leg of Bruce and Bruce grabbed it in pain. Holmes swung around Bruce and leaped on his back, trying to hook the Full Nelson! Bruce pushed back to his feet and moved backwards, squashing Holmes in the corner! Bruce moved toward the center of the ring and turned as Holmes staggered out of the corner. Bruce grabbed Holmes around the throat and lifted him up -- Giant Choke Slam! Bruce made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winners: Enygma and Bruce The Giant (Via Pinfall @ 10:24)

Match Rating: B-

[...The crowd explodes as Bruce The Giant has pinned the number one contender just a little over a week before his scheduled match! Enygma joins Bruce in the ring and they raise their arms in victory. Until Tyson Baine re-enters the ring! Enygma is clotheslined down and Baine kicks the knee of Bruce The Giant! The crowd boos as Baine helps Holmes to his feet. Holmes goes after Enygma and Tyson goes after Bruce! The fight is on between these four men as the show comes to a close! We'll see you next week!]

Playing it safe with these predictions. I hate how JJ is the whipping boy though. Give him a win over somebody useless, please.
