If I'm honest, she looks a bit young for that outfit. Good stuff though. The eyes kinda draw you in.

... and a cool tag team from Trell. I'm assuming you're texturing the singlets yourself. The ice one looks particularly nifty.

An easy second on both. :D:D Great work as always.

A preliminary test render for the default strap texture on my "SvR Belt" prop that I will soon be making available. I'm working on the texture bits this week (it seems I may need to use somewhere between 4 and 6 textures across the model at the moment to get it done the way I want), and I should hopefully be finished with the first official pack-in texture by this weekend.

If all goes well, I'll first make it (with plates) available here, then post it on Renderosity and/or ShareCG.

Also, @ Sebsplex:

Evil Innocence has a clothing converter called Cross Dresser, designed to convert clothing for use between models (like making AnimeDoll/MayaDoll stuff wearable for V4 or Terai Yuki stuff wearable for M3, etc.).

The program itself is free, but they get you by charging for the necessary license files to convert to the various models. (buy the M2 license to convert anybody's outfit to M2, buy AD/MD license to convert outfits to AD/MD, etc.).

Plus, I got a bunch of free women's clothing from the site (examples of EI using Cross Dresser to convert his own clothing between women) and it's just waiting to be used in renders of V3/A3, V4/A4, AD/MD, Stephanie, etc.

There's even a Karate Gi (the pants are easily texturable for custom wrestling pants) for Mike4 if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the info, sounds promising. I'll take a look at it. Lord knows that M2 ain't gaining a new wardrobe anytime soon otherwise. :p

Looks good so far. Not sure if my eyes have been staring at the screen for too long, but on the front plate section, the black texture seems to blur a bit on the left and right? Dead center looks fine though.

Today's freebie.

So I found out that i'm not too good at cutting and converting these

In light of this, this is how I cut my pictures into the 150x150 format.

A GUIDE TO SELF-CUTTING... wait

Step 1. I made this. A 600x600 image with the C-Verse background planted on it, and an extra line I find useful.

http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/misc/cutter.jpg

Step 2. Open Daz. :D

Step 3. Go to Render Settings, set the Dimensions to 'Square (1:1)'. 600x600. Also helps to have 'Render To' set to 'New Window' as opposed to Active Viewpoint.

Step 4. Set the above picture as the background, so now as I render...

http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/misc/cuttinggrab.jpg

Step 5. Now you can see everything, be as anal as you want lining it up.

Step 6. Once you're happy, save the 600x600 image.

Step 7. Open up Photoshop/GIMP/MSPaint, Crop to the 150x150 bit you want, and do any final touch ups and there you have your cut. Keep your eye on the border. Daz tends to lighten the outermost pixels a little, but that's an easy fix. Here's one I prepared earlier...

I don't know how much use that'll be to folks, but seemed worthwhile to post it if folks are having trouble cutting themselves... wait.

Saving it as a png with no background set saves it with a transparent background. No cutting necessary :)

I know. I used to do it like that, but I found the trial, error, resizing, layers etc etc annoying. I found what works for me. Maybe it'll work for others.

Besides, I like to render 'from a distance'. Putting the camera too close to the character's face can make it look a bit 'off' in my opinion.

I'll have to try it! :)

Before I get started on post work or sucked into buying eleventy billion accessories, this is what I got so far:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v291/Kension/Misc/TEW%20Renders/2nd-1.png

Gonna work on making her thighs and arms bigger, fuller lips, more almond shaped eyes, and butternut colored hair. This, before I choose her outfit.

Baby steps, y0.

you should save a copy of her like this too. :D WOW

if my wife wouldn't kill me I'd create a screen saver with this and some of the other renders.

New one. Private use only, if you want to use it in a diary, just ask.

I posted this in the Dog Pound for Remi for his mod, but I figured I'd post them here too. There were my first attempt at women, and some I like more than others. I should probably make some more ladies, I think I've only made one since these.

Amazing renders!!! Are you guys competing? Each renderer seems to release another render better than their last one. Look at the New Vengeance! Seems like every renderer just keeps upping their game.

Alternately, you can use the selection in whatever program you have (if you already have it "cut" or it's a PNG or similar) as a Square, and cut exactly what you want for the headshot... whatever you want on top of the background pic. Select all on your background, paste your copied selection into the background selection. See if I can say this easier.

1. Select all, on your background picture (weather it's 300x300 or whatever your using).

2. Use the square selection tool, in whatever program your using, and select the exact area of the picture you want, copy that selection.

3. Paste into your background picture (it should all be selected). This will automatically resize your picture to the size of the background.

It's the model's UV mapping, stretching the texture in that particular 3rd of the center (the center portion of the belt model is split into 3 parts per half, not of my doing though; it was part of the original model's mapping) because that's where the curve is. Most of the rest of the belt exists "flat" rather than "curved". (shrug)

You shoulda seen how the model and texturing ORIGINALLY looked (like a total mess, mostly) before I started working on it, both in Maya and in Photoshop.

Baby steps, y0.

A solid start. Keep on playing around, and try to resist blowing your load on too many accessories too soon. I spent way too much money buying junk in the early days, when I could have just as easily learned the ropes with a $50 package.

anyone know where I can find some wrist tape?

Can't say I've ever happened upon any. I tend to use the M4 Bodysuit and make everything invisible except for the little bit around the wrists.

On a similar topic, I've struggled to find a good M4 mask. The only one I found had no eyeholes, and I really don't want to have to get into transmaps. I feel I've got a couple of good masked characters inside me (giggle) so if someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be much obliged.

Might as well get today's freebies out of the way early. These girls have been seen before, but again, they've been reposed a bit and cut.

... and with that I'm pretty much out of my stockpile of original full body renders. As productive as I seem to have been, The Aboriginie, Brimstone & John Templar are the only ones I did recently, the rest were finished months ago. Time to start posting more of my headshot-only M3 work, I think, just to keep things ticking along while I regroup.

Yes, she is very hot. If I could make two suggestions to jtlant. 1) Fingernails. Longer & painted. 2) The eyes... maybe something could be done to make them 'pop' a bit more. A vibrant colour to stand out from the subdued tones of her hair & outfit? I dunno, might make it better, or it might ruin the sexy, smoldering thing you've got going on. Food for thought.

Having a lot of stuff in your Runtime is like knowing a lot of wrestling moves. Not a bad thing, but the real masters don't need a big arsenal to create true art. Awesome render! I really love the eyes.

Thats actually quite interesting. Apologies for taking the thread off topic for a second. But what makes a "rendering master"? I was having a look through the renderosity charts the other day, and theres a lot of stuff in there that I thought was good, and yet there are others that I thought were pretty terrible. Obviously that was my own opinion as a lot of people obviously thought they were good otherwise they wouldn't be in the chart. So what requirements would have to be fufilled to be considered a rendering master?
