fullMETAL
If any of the renderers here (like Clarity) know where I can get the source pics for the Original 10 belts, that would help me a LOT for my belt making.
fullMETAL
Also, I made this render for the FPC (Fire Pro Club): http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx166/FullMetalitia/Miscellaneous/FPCGirl.jpg I don't have a name for her, but she's probably gonna be based off one of their female edits anyway (like OG-Joshi's Holly Walker)

Cheers for the praise. I've always been super-jealous of Clarity & jtlant's work, and Trell is pure awesome. The dude has helped me so much I can't even put into words. With Self-love abundant, I felt the need to push on and present a couple more freebies. Undertaker666
When was this announced. With Taker666 & Blas pretty much gone, you and I were the remaining old school renderers. Do i have to hold the torch alone?? I'm not gone per se. My hard drive bit the bullet and then my backup drive took a dive (and I stupidly didn't backup that one) so everything I had from all the way back to 2006 went to cyber heaven. I just need to find the motivation to download everything all over again... Keep up the good work all.

Self
Oopsie. Forgot to post this last night. It's another freebie! http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/Full/JohnTemplarFull.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/Full/JohnTemplar.jpg Went for almost a modern-day, wrasslin' Knight Templar vibe on this one. wrestlingfan1
So I was looking at getting into this (again) and it was mentioned before about the free models (which I grabbed) then found out that the free models had no morphs (bummer). So is it just the M4 Morphs++ pack that I need or is there a more specific one for facial morphs or is included (wanted to double check before I spent the dough).
Self
The Morphs++ pack is the one to get your started (and could well be all you need unless you want to get extra-fancy). A ton of facial morphs are in there. Today's freebie. BRIMSTONE! http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/Full/BrimstoneFull.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/Full/Brimstone.jpg Whipped this one up today. Sorta based on the Goth Rick Law Alt I made for my TCW game.
sebsplex
I had a huge banquet about it, all the renderers were invited, I gave a huge speach. I showed off some of the other renderers work. I guess its time to fire my PR guy I wouldnt say that I am retired forever, but I am retired for now, working over 70 hours a week and trying to go to uni leaves little time for Rendering. And a fun time was had by all! Seriously though, I know you've been struggling with time to render, but yeah, I wouldn't go calling retirement really. I do think you put too much pressure on yourself to do it sometimes. You don't need to compete with anyone else here or worry about what other people are putting out compared to what you are. While everyone loves a bit of an ego stroke, I wouldn't put much stock in worrying about being 'best' or 'better'. Tbh one of the things I like most about this place is that every frequent renderer I can think of since joining the GDS forums has their own style, different reasons for rendering and different 'goals' (for lack of a better word). Self for instance - I love the simplicity of a lot of his renders. I don't mean that they're basic, but more often than not they're not over complicated. e.g. the lighting is bright and crisp, custom textures are strong and vibrant, the posing achieves what it should - e.g. like the freebie team he posted a few posts ago, strong poses that ooze concietedness, arrogance... I thought the guy on the left was actually going to spit on me for being too common to browse the thread. VBigB - The opposite of me when it comes to gender specific rendering, lol, but for the most part if I see a top quality female render that I love, this is where it's come from. Again, a really distinctive style, the lighting and use of tattoos always stands out to me. Clarity - Has always been great, moreso for his desire to just keep on improving and using new figures, new styles, new ideas. It's something I certainly don't have. I mainly started rendering just to churn out some e-wrestling posers with M2 and haven't really had any ambition to stretch much beyond that, just to try and get better at what I know, although when I look at some of Clarity's work, I wish I did. Similar to Blas when more active. Ok I'm running off on tangents here, so to prevent writing up my thoughts on everyone, I'll tail it off here, but you get the point. Whether it be the ever-improving jtlant, the quirky yet realistic nature of kobe's renders, Takers... well I'll dust off a few renders , haloed, Fleish, etc, etc, everyone has their style and strengths. You're a better renderer than I think you give yourself credit for. The M4 Morphs++ pack has both the face and body morphs. If you look at the 'features' on DAZ, you'll see it mentions a number of full head & face morphs, but these alone are 'whole' face morphs that will adjust the ears, eyes, nose, etc all at once. The pack also includes all the individual morphs for facial features from ears to lips, so you can basically make limitless combinations by adjusting each one. So yeah, it's got everything you need in that respect.
Self
Self for instance - I love the simplicity of a lot of his renders. I thought the guy on the left was actually going to spit on me for being too common to browse the thread. Thanks! I'm not an 'artist'. Back in high school, if I was told to draw an apple, I wouldn't try interesting things with shadow, I wouldn't experiment with charcoal, I wouldn't paint the apple blue to symbolize the coldness and loneliness of man's existence. I would just draw an apple. Simple. Basic. To task. It was the same in film school. No experimentation with lights, filters or narrative, just basic stories shot simply. That's exactly how I roll with my renders. I marvel at the amazing things some of y'all can do. I can't do that, but I've found/inherited a style I like and I use it to make characters. I think I've gotten lazy with poses and facial expressions recently. I like the 'Barrister' tag team, but those last two are a bit neutral. A little smirk or raised fist could have added a extra dimension to the character. This guy made an appearance in the TEW08 Render Thread last year, but here he is again, slightly tweaked, with a cut for everyone's use. Firestarter Rush. As the name suggests, he starts fires, so maybe try not to get on his bad side. http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/Full/FirestarterRushFull.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/Full/FirestarterRush.jpg
djthefunkchris
I'm going to say I am really, VERY PLEASED and proud of you guys with all this free rendering going on. I haven't been so happy about this thread in a good while, and your all great. Renders have never looked as good as they do now, and although I know alot of you would credit quite a bit to the new models available, etc.. but thats not what I'm talking about. I know the models allow more realistic (bigger) textures, and the computers are alot better now then they were years ago, and etc... But the artistic style and flavor is what I'm talking about. These renders have personality! Some had alot of personality in the "old days", but ussually it would be one out of 10 or 20 that someone especially liked, and would tweak and model in different poses to give that exceptional characterization. However, it seems like every single render now, is "special". Love the realistic bodies, and I even like the more dramatic "steriod" looking bodies as well. Anyways, I just wanted to say thankyou, and Keep up the great work!

juggaloninjalee
Self I must say the renders you have been giving us are fantastic. I am going to be using them a lot I think.
