Why does everyone in The Brotherhood of Perfection have the same haircut? :D

Brotherhood of The Wedgecut :p

Liking the preview/hype posts so far TheLeviticalLawKid3, especially as I'm a sucker for a good stable or two. I'll be sure to check this out once you get up-and-running with KANZEN.

@TheLeviticalLawKid3 DO THAT DIARY

Honestly, I know on paper it doesn't sound quite right, but I having been on these forums since like 2007 I find that the people willing to do graphics for their dynasty are usually the ones who'll also write the best ones as well.

Interesting stuff. Big fan of CHIKARA and stables and the C-Verse, so all looks good from where I'm sitting.

I just realized that both of the Keiths had that haircut too. Wow. That's awesome.

But, Mr. Self...you are wrong. Your Krissy Angelle rerender (which is wonderful, by the way) has her own haircut. So ha.

But thanks for the kind words, Self...and everyone else.

If you're following this, expect The Skye Club (now that jhd1 just gave me the final member's cut that I wanted, now I'm off to comic book-ify it) to have a profile on here tomorrow sometime. Got a busy night out of town tonight, so I'll try to have it up tomorrow.

By far, they are my favorite stable. After that, I'm planning on doing a feature on the owner/fan favorite of the promotion as well...maybe do one more about a big feature of the upcoming dynasty? Hmm...I don't know...

I'll just say one thing about that, whether or not I preview it...if you love CHIKARA like I do, you'll dig it. LordJaguar mentioned the BDK=Brotherhood of Perfection and Chikara Special=Proton Lock blatant similarities. Here's the thing: I'm a believer that the C-Verse is a parody of the real world to a point. So KANZEN will look and feel like CHIKARA to a point. If you don't like that and want it to be all-original...

Then you will be disappointed. :D

Rising Phoenix Wrestling

OOC:

I have always wanted to do a diary so here is my first true attempt at one. For those curious I am using the iDOM real world mod which is similar to the NWA Domination mod where wrestlemania failed and the NWA took hold of the wrestling world and many of the promotions we would know now never even existed. I have a lot of ideas for this promotion with the roster I assembled and I hope some of you will give it a read and check things out.

RISING PHOENIX WRESTLING

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/logo_RPW.jpg

Where to begin. The name is Mike and I just graduated from college with a degree in advertising. I had done some freelance work for the school, local bands and some local independent wrestling promotions. As a graduation present for my hard work and giving me a little much needed R & R I headed to Phoenix Arizona. Who knew what path life would direct me 3000 miles away from home...

Besides the main necessities I always make sure to bring my laptop and my portfolio of work I have done. You never know when it will come in handy and land you a gig. So I hopped online and read about a wrestling show happening not far from where I was to be staying in Arizona called Project X. The night arrived and I purchased a ticket. People were wearing t-shirts, jerseys and jeans mainly your typical wrestling fan. A man sitting front row was decked out in a business suit and slacks as he intently watched the action. While I tried to figure out his identity I could not take my eyes off the action. It was fast and furious, and stayed on wrestling.

After the night was over I tried catching some guys from the show to potentially get some work but to no luck. A little discouraged I headed into a run down bar. I sat down on one of the stools as I ordered myself a Guinness. I turned to my left and saw the man at the wrestling show and we nodded.

Man: Hey how you doing?

Mike: I'm alright.

Man: I see a bag, are you here for business?

Mike: No I am just on vacation. A graduation present for myself. I have my portfolio in here for potential freelance gigs..

Man: I see what was your degree in?

Mike: I was an advertising major. I did freelance work for bands and a few local wrestling companies. Say weren't you at that Project X show? What do you think of it? By your attire you look like you are on a business trip.

Man: Well I guess you can say that. I am scouting talent. Most think I am crazy but I am looking into starting my own promotion. As for the show it was amazing. I want to bring back excitement in wrestling. Good vs evil. It's all about being in the ring and the best man stands tall. Advertising is important to starting a promotion. Did you do anything else with the promotions you advertised for? By the way I'm Cary Silkin.

Mike: Mike Gionet, pleasure to meet you. Once I got to know the talent a little better I did help a little bit with the booking before the promotion had shut down. That show reminded me why I became a wrestling fan when today's product just isn't working for many people. I want to see wrestling rise to prominence again.

Cary: I like your passion and enthusiasm. What would you say about working for my new company?

Mike: Wait, what? Listen no offense, but I just met you Cary how do I know you are for real? That we are not going to go under in 2 months?

Cary: It's OK Mike it's better to be safe than sorry. Look I was a ticket broker before this so I learned how to do business the right way and how to be smart with money. I was a business major in college with a concentration in accounting. So don't worry about it dying a quick death. As for if I am for real.

Cary waved over a man with a folder in his hand. Cary introduced me to Scott and exchanged greetings. In it contained some quickly made promotional material, names of wrestlers whom I recognized along with phone numbers and e-mail addresses. A smile etched across my face and nodded my approval to Cary.

Mike: Rising Phoenix Wrestling huh? I like it. You have these guys under contract?

Cary: Yes and I am still waiting on a few confirmations. I searched the country looking for the best talent I could find. So are you in with us?

We talked further into the night. I pitched in strategies to build a fan base along with angles I had pitched along with others I was unable to go through with due to the closing. After all was said and done, I became the booker of RPW and my life would never be the same.

Sorry that this is a day late...just bought the AAA Lucha Libre game for my PS3 yesterday ($25 at GameStop, fun little game) and that's what my freetime has consisted of. But don't worry, here comes another stable preview:

http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab345/TheLeviticalLawKid3/KANZEN/KANZEN.png

KANZEN Pro Wrestling is known for many things, but it all revolves around one characteristic:

Awesomeness.

And, just like KANZEN's owner/fan favorite wrestler has stated time and time again: "To make it here, you've gotta have it in the ring and out. Be entertaining in everything you do and say. Just be awesome at what you do."

No one understands and conveys that message more than The Skye Club.

http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab345/TheLeviticalLawKid3/KANZEN/SkyeKANZEN.jpghttp://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab345/TheLeviticalLawKid3/KANZEN/JacobJettKANZEN.jpghttp://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab345/TheLeviticalLawKid3/KANZEN/MainstreamHernandezKANZEN.jpghttp://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab345/TheLeviticalLawKid3/KANZEN/DharmaKANZEN.jpg

Skye, Jett, Mainstream, and Dharma

Always at the Top of Their Game

TSC is an elite group in KANZEN Pro that consists of "only the gnarliest and coolest dudes--oh, and dude-ettes, sorry, Dharma--in the business", according to founder Skye. The crew prides themselves on the no-limits, go big or go home aerial attack mode...and way of life, really.

Skye became a cult icon in pro wrestling as one of the very best fliers in the world, a man whose grace and guts were as hypnotic as his easy-going speech and multi-colored hair. He became a ladder match legend, developing a nationwide fanbase of wrestling fans, journalists, and female groupies that indy wrestling has never seen before. His underground fame made him KANZEN's first-ever signing. If there is anyone who radiates the KANZEN lifestyle, it's Skye. Call him weird, call him out there, call him possibly under the influence of some altering substance(s)...but you've gotta admit: Skye is AWESOME.

And when KANZEN first started up shows and such, Skye reached out to a couple of other daredevils who exuded the awesome like it was a Glade Plug-In...Jett and Mainstream. Jett, a hotshot north of the border whose insane dives and spots gave him the title "The Skye of Canada", was his first recruit. A speedy bullet in the ring, Jett isn't exactly like Skye...in fact, his crazy energy could lead you to believe that he was on a different type of alter-er than Skye's...but he's a huge asset to have in your corner.

Mainstream, a dude whose gotten most of his fame way down in the island of Puerto Rico, was the second member. A guy who knows that you only wrestle as good as you look, Mainstream combines flashy high-flying talent with smoothness on the mic. Making every female in the building shriek every time he steps into the ring, this young stud is super cool...just want Skye wants in a teammate.

Finally, the bouncy girl-next-door, Dharma, rounds out The Skye Club. The newest member of the group, Dharma's energy and hotness is unrivaled in professional wrestling. Being one of KANZEN's only female roster members, she has become quite a celebrity in the short amount of time she's had on board. A true diamond in managing, Dharma is a priceless jewel for The Club. But not everyone loves this queen of the ring. There's already big-time verbal wars between her and The Brotherhood of Perfection's manager, Krissy Angelle. Angelle calls Dharma "unfit" to be a manager wherever Angelle is around, and Dharma is starting to write a thesaurus on words for questionable character women like Angelle.

It's bound to get real heated up in KANZEN, trust us.

With The Brotherhood of Perfection and The Skye Club set to war at any moment because of the rivalry between their respective beauties at the manager role, the KAN-base is taking sides. But The Club is confident in their awesomeness:

"The Brotherhood of the Same Haircut can talk all they want...it's just gonna be hard to get to our level. Because we're Skye high...and we ain't ever gonna fall. Face it, boys...the only way you're gonna get near us is if you join The Club."

-Mainstream

"Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude...let 'em talk. We got this."

-Skye

MAIN EVENT SCENE

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/BrianKendrick.jpg

Brian Kendrick

The Washington raised wrestler started with big dreams. Working at a pizza parlor he saved up enough money to train at the famous Shawn Michaels' Wrestling Academy in Texas. After a brief stint in MCW honing his craft he seeks to make a name for himself in RPW.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Bryan_Danielson.jpg

Bryan Danielson

The self proclaimed Best Wrestler In The World. A fellow trainee with Kendrick honed his craft across the country and around the world. In Rising Phoenix Wrestling he has only one goal in mind, dominance.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/ElijahBurke-1.jpg

Elijah Burke

The Florida native was a former officer for the Jacksonville Office before becoming a amateur boxer where he claims to have a 98-1 win-loss record. Setting his sights on the sport of kings, Burke intends to knock opponents down for the three count.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Matt_Sydal.jpg

Matt Sydal

Sydal hails from St. Louis Missouri. Once a wrestler in high school his senior year, he had bigger aspirations to become a professional wrestler. What he lacks in size he makes up for in heart. This high flier looks to make waves here in RPW.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Shelton_Benjamin.jpg

Shelton Benjamin

This south carolinian has wrestling in his blood. While in HS he achieved a 122-10 win-loss record and a 2 time S. Carolina state high school wrestling champion. He would win the junior college national wrestling heavyweight title at the collegiate level. What will the future hold for this naturally gifted athlete in Rising Phoenix Wrestling?

RISING PHOENIX WRESTLING

UPPER MIDCARD SCENE

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Chris_Hero.jpg

Chris Hero

Coming from Dayton Ohio, fresh out of high school, Hero wanted nothing more than to be a professional wrestler. He would get some sound advice and would travel to Ocala Florida to attend Dory Funk Jr's Conservatory. His thirst for knowledge would lead him to attending a session run by William Regal, Dave Taylor and Fit Finlay. He would take training one step further by attending a lucha clinic run by Ultimo Dragon's Toryumon Gym. With Hero's hybrid of styles and in the best physical shape of his life, Chris Hero will be one to look out for in RPW.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Jay_Lethal.jpg

Jay Lethal

When you think of New Jersey many spring to mind. In music you have The Boss and Bon Jovi. In basketball you have Dr. J. Wrestling's answer is Jay Lethal. Lifelong wrestling fan trained under the ECW Alumni Mikey Wripwreck before he was 18. Elizabeth NJ's son looks to prove in RPW that hard work takes you far.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Jimmy_Jacobs.jpg

Jimmy Jacobs

The 26 year old from Grand Rapids Michigan did various tasks before becoming a wrestler. Besides being a songwriter on the side, acted as a color commentator, webmaster and referee for a local Michigan promotion before training as a wrestler at the ripe age of 15. The once bright eyed and eager young man turned jaded and hostile. His journey of vengeance and retribution starts in Rising Phoenix Wrestling.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Paul_Burchill.jpg

Paul Burchill

When looking for the best from across the pond, look no further than Paul Burchill. The man from Chelsea England was once a primary school teacher before impressing a local promoter at a wrestling camp which gave him the wrestling bug. His attitude relentless and full of brutality, Burchill looks to rip through the competition of RPW one by one.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Paul_London.jpg

Paul London

Paul London comes from Austin Texas. While in HS he helped set up his school's first wrestling team as not only their Captain but holding the fastest pinfall at 7.4 seconds. He would train at numerous wrestling schools. One run by Ivan Putski and the Texas Wrestling Academy (formally the Shawn Michaels' wrestling academy making him the third on our roster to train there). London, the youngest of 3 brothers whose brother died of a car accident in 1996. His memory pushes him forward as he looks to wow audiences and reach his highest potential in RPW.

Don't worry guys I plan on having London be crazy and Jacob doing some violent things! After releasing the midcard section then the lower midcard, opener, enhancement category I will release the first RPW show Lineup. The plan is having a 16 man tournament to crown the first RPW Champion within the next 4 shows.

MIDCARD SCENE

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Chuck_Taylor.jpg

Chuck Taylor

The man who hails from Raccoon City Kentucky goes by many nicknames but first and foremost he wrestles. He wrestled briefly in Illinois and Tennessee before returning home to Kentucky for further training. Bold and brash Chuck Taylor says what is on his mind. An aerial artist, brawler and technician rolled into one, Chuckie T tries to win by any means necessary.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Davey_Richards.jpg

Davey Richards

The man from Othello, Washington is a trained paramedic. In his high school days next to being an amateur wrestler became versatile in the maui thai and jiu-jitsu styles. This disciplined fighter should bring an aggressive side like none other to Rising Phoenix Wrestling. Whomever battles against Richards will not leave the ring unscathed.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/FrankieKazarian.jpg

Frankie Kazarian

The Anaheim California Native traveled to the east coast to train with the legendary Killer Kowalski in Malden Massachusetts. After training he would go back to his home competing in various local independent promotions. Bringing an athletic presence and ring savvy, Frankie Kazarian will be a force to be reckoned with in Rising Phoenix Wrestling.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Jack_Evans.jpg

Jack Evans

Coming from Parkland Washington, Jack Evans was trained by a variety of different people including Bryan Alvarez, Bruce Hart and Ross Hart. A broken ankle nearly ended his career before it even started. Now recovered and holding nothing back, Jack Evans is ready to take to the RPW ring with ambition, determination and perseverance.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Kevin_Steen.jpg

Kevin Steen

Steen hails from the great white North in Marieville, Quebec, Canada. Growing up he was a very active child participating in polo, baseball, soccer and of course hockey. After suffering an injury at age 11 he became fascinated with wrestling and was destined to become apart of it. With his brute strength and competitive in nature, he will bring a certain edge and arrogance to RPW.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/PinkieSanchez.jpg

Pinkie Sanchez

Very little is known of the man that hails from the Neverland Ranch. Despite being our smallest competitor, he has the courage of a thousand men. Pinkie Sanchez is out to prove to the wrestling world that is a man is defined by the whole package, not the sum of his parts.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Sean_OHaire.jpg

Sean O'Haire

Standing in at 6 feet 6 and 270 pounds, Sean O'Haire is the biggest competitor to enter a Rising Phoenix Wrestling ring. He comes from Hilton Head Island South Carolina. He was a trained kick boxer and MMA fighter before being trained by Paul Orndorff. With an equally sharp mind and lethal arms and feet as weapons this is one deadly combination. The RPW roster has been put on notice.

LOWER MIDCARD SCENE

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Kenny_Omega.jpg

Kenny Omega

The 27 year old Kenny Omega hails from Winnipeg Canada. A diehard wrestling fan growing up and avid gamer. His love for anime/manga brought about the character you see today. His wackiness and unorthodox wrestling style will surely set Kenny Omega apart from the pack in Rising Phoenix Wrestling.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Kyle_OReilly.jpg

Kyle O'Reilly

Our youngest competitor on the RPW roster is 24 year old Kyle O'Reilly. He comes from Delta, British Columbia. He has been properly trained by one of our current athletes in Davey Richards. To make his dream of being a wrestler a reality he has traveled many miles in the triple digits to make it come true. Now with a sound disciple in MMA, kickboxing and wrestling under his belt, Kyle O'Relly will travel 1626 miles to Phoenix Arizona to fulfill his dream.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Sami_Callihan.jpg

Sami Callihan

"The New Horror" Sami Callihan hails from Bellefontaine, Ohio. Trained by Les Thatcher he has had a few opportunities to master his craft in various parts of the country. While a little out there in the head he is a focused competitor when that bell rings. A hard hitter that keeps his nose to the grindstone, Callihan is ready for whatever comes his way.

OPENERS

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Paul_Lloyd.jpg

Justin Gabriel

Justin Gabriel is a 2nd generation professional wrestler from Cape Town, South Africa. He was trained by his father. His grandfather was a professional boxer and amateur wrestler. During his last year of high school his father would pass away. For a fresh start Gabriel would move to England gaining experience. He would come back to South Africa better than ever. Now in 2011 he heads to the US for RPW to carry on his family legacy.

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/Puma.jpg

Puma

Not much is known about the mysterious Puma. It is rumored that he was trained by Negro Casas and was hit in the Mexican wrestling scene at a very young age before making it to the United States. What can be confirmed is his aerial ability and willingness to put it all out on the line for the fans.

ENHANCEMENT

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx299/MikeGNA/RPW/adam_cole.jpg

Adam Cole

Adam Cole comes from the sunshine state Panama City, Florida. Trained by DJ Hyde of CZP and previously with Les Thatcher, this youngster is still trying to get his feet wet in the wrestling industry. With a never say die attitude and impressive wrestling move set, there is no doubt Cole will grow leaps and bounds with every match he participates in Rising Phoenix Wrestling.

I am considering making my TCW game a diary game in 2011. The style would be a monthly recap style I think. I dont like posting out a whole show.

I've posted a lot about my game in the "Whats going on in your game thread."

Hopefully by 2011 Chance Fortune is higher up the card. :)

I like your updates in that thread do it! :D

So here's an idea for a potential dynasty: Since I got TEW I've toyed with my eWr promotion and have written several short dynastys about it, none of which ever taking off due usually to real life getting in the way. I've actually played upwards of 3-4 years and have booked alot of stuff. My plan is to start the dynasty in May of 2009 following the May PPV, which closes the door on the "KOW Era", which saw my Kings Of Wrestling stable (Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, Davey Richards, Kevin Steen and Nigel McGuiness), which were my biggest heel stable/heels, be forced to be disbanded due to their loss at a War Games match at the May PPV.

From here on, it's a very different promotion as lower card guys move up and a few more significant names begin to debut.

thoughts?

In the past year a lot has happened in the wrestling world.

Wrestling in the USA.

Supreme Wrestling Federation

They have managed to stay on top but TCW has been right on their coat tails. Many think 2011 could be the year SWF falls to number 2. There is no telling how the industry would be forever changed if this happens. Could they hang on to their biggest names if they fall to the second best promotion?

Total Championship Wrestling

TCW has grown to be the 2nd biggest promotion in the world and is one of the most prestigious companies too. They have managed to open a few developement companies in different countries.

United States Pro Wrestling

The third biggest promotion in the United States has tried to play things safe. They have a working agreement with the hottest company at the moment with TCW. They are hoping TCW becomes number 1 and that they can get more exposure by talent trading with them.

I have been the owner of TCW since 2010. Cornell feeling more stressed and the potential divorce from his wife drove him to sell the company to me and my financial team. My name is Jack Avatar. A rich humble wrestler turned owner. I still wrestle but am sure to keep myself out of the main event lights. I am content wrestling in the lower card. Losing to guys I see a lot of potential for.

This past year when I took over many thought I was going to push myself to the World Title. Halfway into the year people realised I would not do that. Once the world saw what my vision sort of was they got behind my company. I brought in big menacing guys. Tried to push underdog faces to contend with big menacing bad guys. I push talent and menacing guys. If I feel someone is a disruption backstage with the boys I demote them and then cut them loose. I helped Bryan Vessey shake his steroids problem and gave him a reward for doing so by pushing him as my International Champion for awhile.

Going into 2011 the current plan is to bring up the menacing guys some more and to continue to push the talented guys. I have guys in my developement promotions I would like to bring up the ranks and turn into stars and other guys who I would like to take a back seat to train these guys. If things go as planned we can build towards dream matches by the end of the year. New guys who are incredibly over with a ton of momentum facing off with legends like Tommy Cornell, Sam Keith, Ricky Dale Johnson, Bryan Vessey, and others.

By 2012 TCW will hopefully be the biggest and best promotion in the world with no real competition on our home soil.

...The Fate Of All So Often Lies In The Hands Of One...

December 11th 2009 was one of the few days upon which the fate of the entire American wrestling industry was balanced. Like the 1980 Supreme Challenge, the events that day would effect the business in untold ways.

That cold night in 2009 was of course, the night of Christmas Clash '09 - the stage for the final chapter in the much lauded 'Jack Bruce: Man Under Pressure' storyline. Having been the target of backstage attacks and mysterious taunts for almost nine months, SWF World Champion Jack Bruce had finally decided Rich Money was the culprit. The two fought the most brutal match in years, with Bruce victorious only after Money couldn't answer the ten count. But as Money was being stretchered out of the arena, Bruce's worst nightmares came true when Eric Eisen appeared for the first time in months and revealed that it was in fact he that had masterminded the 'Long Island Angel's' months of hell.

Apart from being a critical and commercial success, Christmas Clash will be remembered for one vital point. A few lines above this one I described the main event as 'the most brutal match in years' – it was the most brutal match 12 years and 10 months, to be exact. The most brutal match since Tommy Cornell and Nemesis fought to a standstill on an episode of Supreme Assault TV recorded in February 1997. The fallout of such extreme violence was the immediate firing of Nemesis and Tommy Cornell's subsequent departure for J.K. Stalling's Hollyweird Grappling Company. And as we all know, Tommy Cornell soon became the biggest name in professional wrestling; Richard Eisen couldn't make the same mistake twice.

Could he?
