Canadian Golden Combat: Reforming its legacy

Recommended Posts

Thanks Drew, also remember that the next shows and every edition of Title Bout Wrestling there after will be 90 minutes long. The first show was supposed to be 90 minutes long as well but I forgot to change it before the day of the show which is why it was only an hour long.

CGC.com catches up with Chris Kaladaro after the first edition of Title Bout Wrestling.

CGC.com: “Chris, how did you feel the first show went do you have any complaints or is there anything that you wished you would have done differently before the first show.”

Chris Kaladaro: “Well to be honest I don’t really have to many regrets about this first show I thought it went down quite well. Also from the response that it has been getting on the net I would have to conclude that the fans that were in attendance on that night were quite pleased with the show as a whole after all we did sell out the first show.”

CGC.com: “Well now that the first show is out of way do you feel like some of the pressure has been lifted off of you.”

Chris Kaladaro: “Not really and the only reason I say that is because the first show was only one hour long. Now that the shows will be increased to ninety minutes which gives us thirty minutes of extra time I feel a bit more pressure to deliver. I mean thirty extra minutes might not seem like a lot but it is it just makes me more nervous going into the first ninety minute show plus it makes room for more stars to suffer from potential injuries. However one big plus and the main reason why I decided to do what I did was because that way the CGC stars will get a better chance to showcase their talents.”

CGC.com: “Well Chris that is all we have for now for you, we here at CGC.com would like to wish you the best of luck in your future shows being that they are now an hour and a half long.”

Chris Kaladaro: “Thanks I promise you won’t be disappointed.”

OOC: The card for the next ediiton of Title Bout Wrestling will be posted sometime tomorow(Monday).

CGC.com

The following wrestlers were released today (Wednesday, Week 1, January 2010)

Ozzie Golden, Philippe LaGrenier, Gargantuan, and Ryan Powell.

CGC would like to wish these four superstars the best of luck in their future endeavors.

... the hell? Ozzie and LaGrenier I understand, they're dead weight in a bloated roster. Gargantuan I can forgive, although I reckon his positives vastly outweigh his negatives. Ryan Powell??? What did Ryan Powell do??? I always push that guy to the moon.

to answer your question self Ryan Powell didn't do anything, I simply had to get rid of someone in order to fit the ideal roster. That is the only reason why I decided to let Powell go.

TakerNGN74

There isn't any penalty for having more than the ideal roster, only less than. so if your ideal roster is 20 , having 21 or more doesn't hurt, and in fact help to prevent you going under incase of an injury or someone signing a written elsewhere.

CGC Title Bout Wrestling Preview

Week 2 January 2010

Hello once again CGC wrestling fans Marty Papin here to preview what you can expect to see this Sunday on CGC Title Bout Wrestling. This edition comes to you live from Victoria Royal Athletic Park in British Columbia.

In the first match of the evening the Canadian Championship will be on the line as Ed Monton challenges the current Canadian Champion Joey Poison. Will we see a new Canadian Champion in Ed Monton or will Joey Poison make his second successful defense of his Canadian Title.

In tag team action for the tag team titles the Soldiers of Fortune Destiny and Fate will get a shot at the tag team gold when they go toe to toe with the current Champions Zeus Maxmillion and Stevie Grayson. Will the Soldiers of Fortune have fortune on their side or will Zeus and Stevie retain their tag team titles.

In the co-main event of the evening Ricky DeColt steps into the ring to do battle with Eddie Chandler, Chandler suffered a defeat at the hands of CGC champion Jack DeColt while Ricky wasn’t even seen last week. Will Eddie be able to get the win over the second DeColt he has had to face in two weeks or will Ricky prove that what Eddie did last week was nothing short of a fluke.

Finally in the main event of the evening its brother vs. brother as CGC Owner Alex DeColt challenges CGC Champion Jack DeColt in a brother versus brother showdown. Will Jack be able to beat his brother and retain his title and add another defense to his list? Or will Alex prove that he is the better of the two and walk away with the CGC World Title secured around his waist.

All this and so much more will be answered as CGC presents Title Bout Wrestling live this Sunday from Victoria Royal Athletic Park in British Columbia. Don’t miss all the great action that only CGC promises to deliver for now I am Marty Papin and I will see you at the matches.

CGC Title Bout Wrestling

Sunday Week 2, January 2010

Victoria Royal Athletic Park (British Columbia) – 7,211

To start the show off, Alex DeColt comes down to the ring. He takes a microphone and starts talking to the crowd, before eventually getting interrupted by Jack DeColt. They have a big argument, going back and forth on the microphone, before agreeing to face each other later on in a singles match.

Road Agent Notes

This segment lifted the crowd.

Segment Rating: A

Match 1

Ed Monton vs. Joey Poison ©

CGC Canadian Championship Match

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Joey Poison defeated Ed Monton in 8:12 by pinfall with an Antidote Web. Joey Poison makes defense number 2 of his CGC Canadian title.

Road Agent Notes

Joey Poison and Ed Monton have great chemistry, and it showed in their performances. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. Ed Monton is improving in Technical skills.

Match Rating: D

Alex DeColt announces that he has decided to give himself a challenge tonight, and if he cannot win the match in under 5 minutes he'll admit defeat. He introduces Jack DeColt as his opponent.

Road Agent Notes

This segment lifted the crowd.

Segment Rating: B+

Match 2

The Soldiers of Fortune (Destiny and Fate) vs. Zeus Maxmillion and Stevie Grayson ©

CGC Tag Team Championship Match

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Zeus Maxmillion and Stevie Grayson defeated The Soldiers Of Fortune in 8:07 when Stevie Grayson defeated Destiny by pinfall with a Shades Of Grayson. Stevie Grayson and Zeus Maxmillion make defense number 1 of their CGC World Tag Team titles.

Road Agent Notes

The colour commentary gave the match a boost. The match was poorly placed on the show; the crowd were already pretty hot, so running a match designed to warm them up fell flat. This match brought the crowd's mood down. Destiny is improving in Performance skills. Fate is improving in Performance skills. Zeus Maxmillion is improving in Performance skills. Stevie Grayson is improving in Performance skills.

Match Rating: D-

Alex DeColt was visibly tiring toward the end. Jack DeColt was exhausted by the end.

Match Rating: C

Final Show Rating: C-

Notes: There was a general feeling that the promotion should really be offering more storylines to follow, being that it is supposed to focus on the entertainment aspect of wrestling. I think this show might have actually hurt our popularity overall.

CGC Title Bout Wrestling

Canadian Golden Combat held CGC Title Bout Wrestling last night in Victoria Royal Athletic Park, and drew 7,211 fans. The feedback from viewers has been decent, although hardly spectacular.

CGC.com catches up with Chris Kaladaro after this week’s edition of Title Bout Wrestling.

CGC.com: “Chris, the first show you did over a week or so ago now was only an hour long, and you just completed your second show which was extended by thirty minutes which was your doing. Looking back on it do you regret changing the show from one hour to one and a half hours.”

Chris: “No and here is the reason why, you see yeah we may have had it easy just doing an hour show every week but the main reason why I added an additional thirty minutes to the show was so that we could showcase more of our talent. What good is having a television show if you only have an hour and you can’t do much within that hour.”

CGC.com: “Well I asked you after the first show if you thought that the pressure has been lifted off of you and I remember you saying that you thought it hadn’t been. Now that the first ninety minute show is in the books do you feel some pressure being lifted off of you.”

Chris: “ Well to be honest I can’t say that I feel any less pressure with the first ninety minute show being out of the way. I mean in CGC I want us to get better as a company each and every week so I won’t just be happy with one show or even two shows that might have went the way I wanted them too. We will keep striving to get better and better as the weeks go by and eventually even be better than our direct competition. Don’t get me wrong I am concentrated on CGC so much that I really could care less what the competition is doing but if we can just have a chance to have a leg up on any other of the Canadian Companies than we will take whatever we can get.”

CGC.com: “Alright well once again Chris I would like to thank you for your time and good luck in the future as CGC has more and more shows. We will be sure and catch up with you again after CGC Elimination which is Live on Pay Per View in just four days time.

OOC : The next scheduled event for CGC is Elimination which is the first pay per view of this dynasty. The card for the event will be posted sometime during the weekend so that you can get your predictions in.

CGC.com catches up with Chris Kaladaro after his first CGC Pay Per View.

CGC.com: “Hello once again CGC wrestling fans we are here once again with the one and only Chris Kaladaro who just two days ago held his first pay per view as a part of Canadian Golden Combat. We are here to get his thoughts on the show and a possible glimpse of what’s next for the promotion. Chris let me first start out by congratulating you on a great show this past Sunday with CGC Elimination how did it feel to be in that sort of environment?”

Chris Kaladaro: “Well to be honest it felt completely different than when I was a part of NOTBPW, in North Of The Border Dan Stone Jr. and the rest of the Stone family seemed to have a grasp on what they wanted to achieve with their shows. However when it came down to it, it was a crap shoot to see what would work and what wouldn’t. CGC in that respect is the polar opposite of NOTBPW, not in a bad way of course but in a good way I mean the locker room in CGC is so much more motivated than the locker room of NOTBPW. I am sure that he addition of Steve DeColt helps NOTBPW out a lot but they still can’t compare to CGC and the family atmosphere that there is.”

CGC.com: “You are of course talking about the rest of the DeColts correct?”

Chris Kaladaro: “That’s correct I mean not only did Steve DeColt decide to leave the company but George DeColt also retired and left the company. That is the one main reason that I believe Steve decided to leave, it wasn’t a falling out with his brothers because truth be told it would have never happened if George was still in the picture. I believe that he could have put a stop to whatever animosity there was between the brothers and more importantly than that the family.”

CGC.com: “Very interesting, do you honestly believe that or did the rest of the DeColts put that in your head when you came into help them with CGC.”

Chris Kaladaro: “No not at all I am my own man separate from the DeColts and I have my own way of thinking and nothing persuaded me to think otherwise.”

CGC.com: “Well Chris I would like to thank you for your time as we are just about out of it, any final words and can you shed some light on what we can expect to see on the next show following the pay per view.”

Chris Kaladaro: “All I can say is stay tuned you regret it if you don’t.”

CGC.com: “This has been a CGC.com Interview with the one and only Chris Kaladaro.”

[Fade.]

OOC: Some of the matches for the next show will be posted sometime tomorow(Tuesday) until then read up on this latest interview with Chris Kaladaro and comment if you would like to.

CGC Title Bout Wrestling Preview

Featuring the fallout after CGC Elimination VIII

Week 3 January 2010

Hello ladies and gentleman Marty Papin here once again to talk about what you can expect to see on the next edition of Title Bout Wrestling which will feature all of the happenings after Elimination VIII which took place this past Friday night. We are just two days removed from the first pay per view since Chris Kaladaro took over as the head booker of the promotion and there are a lot of fantastic matches set to take place live this Sunday night from the King Edward Multiplex in British Columbia.

There are four big matches scheduled to take place live this Sunday, two of which are for titles in Canadian Golden Combat. First up on the pre show the Canadian Title will be at stake as the champion Joey Poison takes on his challenger Shooter Sean Deeley. Will Joey Poison be able to make another successful defense of his Canadian Championship or will Shooter Sean Deeley prove to be to much for Joey Poison to handle and there fore will we see a new Canadian Champion come this Sunday night.

The first match on the main show will be between Dan DaLay and Ricky DeColt, you would think that Ricky would have the ultimate advantage going into this match being that his last night is DeColt. However Dan DaLay has proven not to be a pushover so this is truly any ones match to win.

Next up on the show Alex DeColt will take on Bobby Thomas, both has great momentum going into this match but he main question surrounding this match is simply who can get the win over the other and keep their much needed momentum going.

The final match of the evening will be Eddie Chandler facing off against the current CGC World Heavyweight Champion in Jack DeColt. Will Eddie be able to get the win over the champion and capture the gold for himself or will Jack DeColt be able to defeat his adversary and add another title defense and another victim to the list that seems to just keep growing and growing.

All this and so much more as Canadian Golden Combat presents Title Bout Wrestling live this Sunday on Maple Leaf Sports and emanating live from the King Edwards Multiplex in British Columbia. Don’t miss out on which promises to be a great night of CGC Wrestling action.

Those matches once again are

Thanks for the predictions as always BHK and thanks for the feedback about the new CGC.com articles that I have been writing as it really gets me into writing this stuff if people tend to like what i am doing. Oh and after the month is over prepare for the return of the Kaladaro Kolumn although I will probably call it something different this time around.
