There is every chance the Sci Fi debut won't be posted until next week.

Tomorrow is definately out. I have a golf match in the afternoon then going to a party with a free bar at night.

Saturday is a possibility, as the only plans is a golf league match in the afternoon.

Sunday won't be on because I'm working.

So apologies in advance if there is a wait.

Saturday, week 1, March 2003

Memorial Gym, Moscow, ID.

Jeff Jarrett is in the ring for TNA's debut on a bigger platform... TNA goes Sci Fi. He addresses the entire TNA roster... it's time for everybody to step up as TNA has moved up a level, and the shows need to reflect it. TNA can't afford any passengers.

He then addresses Harley Race. Race comes out and Jarrett wants to know who he is defending his title against tonight. Race tells Jarrett that it is somebody who has to prove himself... Davey Boy Smith. Jarrett seems quite pleased at his opponent for tonight. C+

Eric Bischoff is backstage, talking to Abyss. Bischoff is angry that Desmond Wolfe is still in TNA, though it still is unclear why he has such a hatred for him. Regardless, he gives Abyss carte blanche to take out Desmond Wolfe. D+

NWA TNA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Latin American Exchange (champions) v Backstreet Boyz

TNA on Sci Fi's first match... and it is mildly disappointing, mainly due to Hernandez putting in a stinker, which Jeff Jarrett is sure to have taken note of. The champions were in control for most of the match, but grew increasingly frustrated at not being able to put the challengers away. This came to a head when Homicide tried to take one of his usual shortcuts, only for his low blow on Trent Acid to be spotted by Robert Brisko who immediately called for the disqualification in 9:24 , but of course the titles stay with LAX. D

Air Paris and AJ Styles are backstage, arguing. The argument gets increasingly heated. Eric Bischoff wanders by, and listens in before appearing in front of them, coughing. This gets Air and AJ's attention. Bischoff declares he likes the idea of seeing which of them is better, since that is what they were arguing about, so he books them in a match at Destination X... oh... and AJ's number one contendership will be on the line. Paris is delighted, Styles livid. D

America's Most Wanted and Triple X are seen arguing with each other, but are prevented from brawling by a bevy of security. D-

AJ Styles v Ken Anderson

A significant lift in the action and AJ really steps up and puts in a sterling performance. He oozes class and style and keeps the fans entertaining with his exciting offensive style throughout. It wasn't all one way traffic though, as Anderson showed he is developing quite nicely. AJ picks up another victory though and he looks like he will be a serious threat to Jarrett's title... if he beats Air Paris. The victory came in 10:43 by pinfall with a Styles Clash. C-

Rick Steiner is in the ring and challenges Davey Boy Smith to a match at Destination X. Smith comes out onto the ramp and accepts the challenge and comments that it's a cheap way to get yourself a World Championship match... D

Buff 'The Puff' Bagwell is backstage, flirting massively with Roger. He carresses his buttocks, before moving his hand to his crotch just as the cameras cut away. D+

TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

CM Punk (champion) v Ultimo Dragon

A very good match where both men emerged with a lot of credit and it is just the sort of action that TNA are looking for with the move to Sci Fi. The match was boosted by the good chemistry Punk and Ultimo share. It was fast paced and technical and either men could have walked out with the belt, but it was Punk who clung on to his title, and no doubt is relieved he did, overcoming Dragon in 12:04 by pinfall with a Pepsi Plunge and the crowd giving both a round of applause afterwards. CM Punk makes defence number 13 of his TNA X Division title. C+

After a match, Samoa Joe runs in the ring and attacks CM Punk, leaving him down and out. C-

Eric Bischoff is in the ring and asks Jeff Jarrett and Monty Brown to come to the ring. They both do, with Monty carrying the Feast or Fired briefcase. Bischoff tells them it is time to make it official and tells Monty Brown that to get his title shot at Destination X, he must hand the briefcase to him. Monty does so and Eric Bischoff declares the match official. Monty then turns to leave the ring, and as he does so, Bischoff hands the briefcase to Jeff Jarrett who promptly blasts Brown over the head with it, dropping him to the canvas and causing him to bleed. C-

Ken Shamrock v Steve Corino

Despite Shamrock being off his game, this was still a good contest and Shamrock was able to defeat Corino in 12:25 by submission with an Ankle Lock. Shamrock has now defeated the two men that caused him to lose his World Championship to Jeff Jarrett, and he still has the rematch clause... C

Joel Gertner is backstage, trying to interview Vader about his ongoing vendetta against Ernest Miller, but Vader just turns and walks away. C

Ken Shamrock bursts into Harley Race's office and demands his rematch with Jeff Jarrett on Explosion tomorrow night. Race grants his wish, but adds a twist. Shamrock will get his championship rematch, but it will be a handicap match against Jeff Jarrett, Steve Corino and Shane Douglas. Shamrock looks like he is ready to throw Race through a wall, but Race calmly tells him it's that or nothing. Shamrock storms out, nearly slamming the door off it's hinges on his way out. C

NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Jeff Jarrett (champion) v Davey Boy Smith

A fantastic crowd and some decent action, sadly the match was let down a little because of Smith still showing some ring rust. In addition, he was off his game, so judging by Harley Race's comments at the start of the show, he hasn't proved himself. Jarrett made a comfortable defence in 14:27 by pinfall with The Stroke. Jeff Jarrett makes defence number 1 of his NWA TNA World Heavyweight title. D+

The show can be considered a success and should have increased TNA's popularity.

DestinationX picks:

NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Jeff Jarrett (champion) v 'Alpha Male' Monty Brown (D+ heat)

It would be cool to see Monty with the title but I really don't think it will happen.

X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

CM Punk (champion) v American Dragon (D-)

AJ'S NUMBER ONE CONTENDERSHIP ON THE LINE

AJ Styles v Air Paris (D)

I see AJ losing his number one contendership to his former partner.

ULTIMATE X - WINNER BECOMES NUMBER ONE CONTENDER FOR THE X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

Ultimo Dragon, Elix Skipper, Frankie Kazarian, Low Ki, Super Crazy, Paul London (E+)

This is a tough call as I could see any of these guys winning. At the end of the day I went with the one who I wanted to see get the win.

I think Ken might have a chance to overcome the odds.

NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Jeff Jarrett (champion) v 'Alpha Male' Monty Brown (D+ heat)

he's the king of TNA and will carry the belt until a suitable challenger is built up to face him

NWA TNA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Latin American Exchange (champions) v Backstreet Boyz (E)

maybe new tag team champs will liven things up a bit. Always fun seeing new blood rise up

X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

CM Punk (champion) v American Dragon (D-)

AJ'S NUMBER ONE CONTENDERSHIP ON THE LINE

AJ Styles v Air Paris (D)

I think this could be a show stealer. Paris derails Styles for now, but AJ will look even better after he emerges from the feud with the mysterious Air Paris

ULTIMATE X - WINNER BECOMES NUMBER ONE CONTENDER FOR THE X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

Ultimo Dragon, Elix Skipper, Frankie Kazarian, Low Ki, Super Crazy, Paul London (E+)

The Spanish Flyers make good contenders for this title and have given some of the best matches to date.....maybe a good backstory to build one of them up and hopefully give some good heat when they go after Punk or whoever the champion is at the time

Ken Shamrock v Steve Corino & Shane Douglas (D+)

Ken came up short on tv against 3, but will find a way to overcome the smaller odds (pinning Douglas). Shane needs to get some low card wins since he has a lot of worth and can give some good matches.

Davey Boy Smith v Rick Steiner (D)

Doug Williams v Jimmy Rave (E-)

Abyss v Desmond Wolfe (E)

America's Most Wanted v Spanish Announce Team (E)

AMW is being buried in the tag team scene. Need to find something interesting to get them back into the action. Maybe they will interfere in the title match and cost LAX to set them into a new feud.

Samoa Joe v Buff 'The Puff' Bagwell (D-)

normally, yeah Samoa Joe would just kill Puff and stuff. But see Bagwell winning this one in some demeaning fashion (does he stuff Joe into a dress afterward? doll up his face?) and then set up a bigger match with some even bigger stipulations on the line. Another match that should garner some higher heat and could turn in decent ratings

PRE SHOW

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Backstreet Boyz defeated Spanish Announce Team in 9:22 when Johnny Kashmere defeated Joel Maximo by pinfall with a Backstreets Back. Johnny Kashmere was really off his game. D+

Explosion

Sunday, week 1, March 2003

Fogelman Arena, New Orleans, LA.

Live on UrbanXtra pay per view

Ken Shamrock is in the ring and demands that Eric Bischoff, Harley Race and Jeff Jarrett come to the ring. They do, all together. Shamrock tells them he is fed up of this bull****. He wants his proper rematch, one on one, mano a mano. Bischoff tells him that's not happening, he gets his one rematch, tonight, in a three on one match. Shamrock attacks Bischoff only for Race to hit a low blow, Jarrett to hit The Stroke and then follow up with a figure four leg lock, with Bischoff and Race taunting Shamrock as he writhes in pain. If Shamrock wins the title back tonight, I'm Hugh Heffner. C

Mike Quackenbush v Paul London

A very good opener, which was both unexpected and very pleasing and is likely to do wonders for both men's position within TNA. As a contest both men shared about equal offence and the crowd support was firmly behind London. He couldn't capitalise on this however as Quackenbush picks up a victory in 8:21 by pinfall with a handful of tights. C+

Jody Fleisch v Low Ki

Another solid match as the latest edition of Explosion has got off to a good start. This was fast paced and exciting and it was Ki's kicks that tipped the match in his favour, with he prevailing in 7:02 by pinfall with a Ki Krusher '99. D+

Elix Skipper and Paul London are seen backstage arguing about who is going to win Ultimate X at Destination X. D-

Triple X (with Francine) v Dragons & Super Crazy

The standard of wrestling thus far tonight has been really good and this continued in another fast paced match with plenty of action, especially as there were six men involved and occasionally all at once. The established trio of Triple X with their chicanery looked like to win, but American Dragon pulled one out of the bag in 10:17 when he defeated Frankie Kazarian by submission with an Arms Across America. C

http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac78/Nobby_McDonald/TNAWorldTagteam.jpg

NWA TNA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Latin American Exchange (champions) v The Order of the Phoenix

The champions defend against a team that have not teamed together in some time, in fact Potter hasn't even been in the ring for a while. LAX looked hot favourites to win this one, and nothing in the match did much at all to suggest the outcome was going to surprise. LAX were comfortable throughout and the conclusion came in 7:13 when Hernandez defeated Harry Smith by pinfall with a Dominator. Latin American Exchange make defence number 4 of their NWA TNA World Tag Team titles. Maybe Potter should stick to the booking. D+

A music video is shown to promote America's Most Wanted. C

Abyss & Vader v Pride of Britain

Oh dear, things have taken a turn for the worse. An improving Wolfe put in his worst TNA performance while Abyss dominated a match that was mediocre. The end came in 9:11 when Abyss defeated Doug Williams by pinfall with The Black Hole but it was about 8 minutes too late. D

Davey Boy Smith was cutting a promo saying how he will defeat Rick Steiner at Destination X when Steiner interrupts, telling Smith that there is only room for one dog in TNA and that dog is the Dogface Gremlin. Steiner then barks at Smith who stands nose to nose with Steiner. E

http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac78/Nobby_McDonald/TNAXDivision-1.jpg

TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

CM Punk (champion) v Ernest Miller

Not Punk's best title defence but an accceptable match and a better affair than the previous tag team contest. Miller fought well and hard, but Punk was cunning, cowering away when he could, being choosy with his attacks and making only very rare mistakes. This helped Punk to another successful retain in 9:09 by pinfall with a Pepsi Plunge. CM Punk makes defence number 14 of his TNA X Division title. D+

AJ Styles is walking to the ring for the next match when, out of nowhere, Jimmy Rave attacks. He hurts AJ, who is left crawling towards the ring. C+

AJ Styles v Jimmy Rave

As if Rave's pre match attack wasn't enough, the match itself saw Air Paris run in and attack Styles while Rave had Rudy Charles distracted. Not even this was enough to keep AJ down, who kept his winning streak running in 11:58 by pinfall with a Styles Clash. The match was not as good as expected though, mainly because neither Styles nor Rave had the psychology needed to create a proper flow to the match. C-

Cameras follow Eric Bischoff backstage and he approaches Abyss' locker room. He enters and Abyss looks like he is about to knock Bischoff into the middle of next week. Bischoff calms the monster down and gives him a pep talk to hurt Desmond Wolfe. He then whispers something into Abyss' ear, and whatever it was it made his eyes light up. C-

BG James v Samoa Joe

A fairly good match, though it certainly helps that BG James is now being used in the right way! Joe clearly has been in the mood to hurt people of late, and he at times brutalised James, who used his nous and experience to high tail away at times. Even so, Joe triumphed in 9:37 by pinfall with an Island Driver. C-

As Jeff Jarrett walks to the ring for probably the most one sided World Championship defence in history, he is already looking forward to Destination X and proving to everybody just how stupid Monty Brown is. C+

http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac78/Nobby_McDonald/TNAWorldHeavyweight.jpg

NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Jeff Jarrett (champion), Shane Douglas & Steve Corino v Ken Shamrock

Shamrock did have fleeting moments of offence, but the predictable happened, three on one is just too great of odds for Shamrock to overcome and his rematch for the title was little more than a procession for the champion, who had Douglas and Corino do most of the work for him, Jarrett hardly broke sweat in the first ten minutes of the match. Jarrett even allowed one of his teammates to pick up the win in 15:11 when Steve Corino defeated Ken Shamrock by pinfall with an Old School Expulsion. Immediately following the bell, the three on one beating continued, only for Monty Brown to run out. All he managed to do was divert the attention away from Shamrock, as after his initial early attack, he too succumbed to the three on one. As Explosion went off air, Jarrett, Douglas and Corino stood arms raised above the downed Shamrock and Brown. C-

Show rating: C-

Some of the angles did not reach the standard of the wrestling. The show can be considered a success and should increase TNA's popularity.

Attendance: 5000 (sellout)

Buy rate: 0.16 (new Explosion record)

Profit: $29,360

Explosion is the 3rd highest buy rate for TNA.

Mike Quackenbush v Paul London is the 7th best match for TNA.

Impact preview

http://www.lytrules.com/weblog/archives/montybrown.jpg

'Alpha Male' Monty Brown was dismissed last week as being an easy opponent for Jeff Jarrett at Destination X. How will Brown respond on Impact?

Ken Shamrock has been deprived of any sort of realistic opportunity of getting a rematch for the World Championship. Now Race and Bischoff have backed him into another corner by booking him against Shane Douglas & Steve Corino in a handicap match at Destination X. You can be sure this won't go down well with Ken.

The X Division is in the spotlight at Destination X. Not only will six men compete in Ultimate X for an X Division Championship match, but there are already contenders lining up for CM Punk's championship. How will things develop?

Tune in to Sci Fi on Saturday night to find out.

PRE SHOW

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Super Crazy defeated Sheik Abdul Bashir in 6:40 by pinfall with a Trifecta Moonsault. D

Impact

Saturday, week 2, March 2003

Grissom Auditorium, Nevada

Live on Sci Fi.

Jeff Jarrett is in the ring and remarks how easy he expects Destination X to be. Not only will Steve Corino and Shane Douglas take care of Ken Shamrock once and for all, but he will dispose of the pathetic challenge of Monty Brown. Jarrett then says Brown isn't even fit to lace up his boots!

This prompts Alpha Male's music to play and he charges the ring. He simply says to Jarrett, "I'll show you how easy it is", hitting The Pounce immediately as he finishes the sentence. Brown stands over Jarrett and tells him he will see him at Destination X as the crowd cheer on. C+

Rick Steiner is backstage, where he challenges Davey Boy Smith to make their Destination X match a Dog Collar match. Off screen, Smith is heard shouting "God yes" before he storms the set. Steiner manages to escape though, and Smith chases after him. D

Abyss v Paul London

After London's good match against Quackenbush on Explosion, he looks to follow that up facing the monsterous Abyss. Although again London features in a good match, the complete mismatch in terms of size is evident and Abyss chalks up a convincing victory in 5:54 by pinfall with The Black Hole. During the match we also had Desmond Wolfe run in and attack Abyss, although he hit his London Lariat, it didn't make any difference to the outcome of the match. C-

Joel Gertner is interviewing Air Paris backstage, where he says now is finally the time where he steps out of the shadows and takes down TNA's shining light... AJ Styles. D

http://www.2nice.com/shop/images/362-24.jpg

Buff 'The Puff' Bagwell walks out to the ring, and asks Roger to join him. Roger does so. Buff gets down on one knee and pulls out a ring... and asks for Roger's hand in marriage! Roger is completely besides himself with joy and starts to cry, whimpering a yes and the two embrace in the ring. D+

Bulldogs & Pride of Britain v Rick Steiner, Jimmy Rave & Spanish Announce Team (with So Cal Val)

A chaotic match which saw Mickey Jay lose control frequently, but then when one little man tries to control eight burly wrestlers... good luck bud. It was during this chaos when Abyss came to ringside and brutualised Desmond Wolfe before abducting him to the back and leaving the match three on four. The numbers game eventually gave bore to the end of the contest as in 10:14 Rick Steiner defeated Davey Boy Smith by pinfall with a Top Rope Bulldog. D+

A music video is shown to promote Frankie Kazarian. C

BG James cuts a promo where he states how disappointed he is with everything in TNA. Officials don't give him a proper chance. The fans are morons and the talent are nowhere near the standard of what he is used to working with. Crowd boos vehemently. D

Frankie Kazarian v Samoa Joe

A really good match. The crowd were really into it and some of the action was excellent. Kazarian certainly played his part but Joe looked dangerous and will be a big threat in TNA for some time. He picks up a win here in 6:41 by pinfall with an Island Driver. C+

Joel Gertner is backstage with Ernest Miller, who challenges Vader to put up or shut up. He is fed up of Vader stalking and attacking him, he wants to settle it in the ring next week on Impact. D

American Dragon is in the ring and challenges CM Punk for his title. CM Punk refuses and starts to attack American Dragon. This prompts Samoa Joe and Harley Race to come to the ring. Samoa Joe prevents the attack from becoming serious while Harley Race agrees for it to happen at Destination X. C-

Homicide and Hernandez are having a celebratory drink of tequila in the locker room, in celebration of their upcoming victory, in their eyes at least, of Backstreet Boyz at Destination X. D

Buff 'The Puff' Bagwell v Ken Shamrock

I wonder what a gay stag/bachelor (delete appropriate depending if you're British or American) is like? Do I even want to know? Anyway, the newly engaged Buff Bagwell faces a tough match against the ever dangerous and often pissed off Shamrock. It seems his mind is distracted by his upcoming wedding while Shamrock seems hell bent on hurting people at the moment, on a couple of occasions nearly getting disqualified by Robert Brisko for being over aggressive. Still, he picks up a win in 12:24 by submission with an Ankle Lock. C-

Buff Bagwell is recovering from his match in the ring. Samoa Joe runs in and attacks, beating Bagwell down into the mat. Is Joe a homophobe or just continuing his seemingly random, brutal attacks? Meanwhile...C+

...Ken Shamrock is celebrating his victory in the ring. Corino and Douglas run in and attack, beating Shamrock down into the mat. It's action all over the Auditorium! D+

AJ Styles v Steve Corino

Corino sticks around for the main event... which is a really, really good match, had everybody on the edge of their seats and was a tremendous advert for TNA wrestling. A great crowd and great action heavily contributed to one of TNA's finest matches and AJ Styles' stock rose even higher with a superb victory in 15:21 by pinfall with a Styles Clash. Even though Lockdown is still a number of weeks away, he's looking really good and a serious threat to whomever the champion will be at that time. B-
