What grinds your gears?

I'd rather not have a man who believes China made up global warming, who doesn't want to use alternative energy sources, who has put into his staff some of the most racist and bigoted people. Someone who can't control his temper and insults anyone who disagrees with him.

Look at the people he's putting in. Bannon and Previs? Christie? I mean. Seriously??

Yes, I am. Mostly due to my religious beliefs.

No offence, but this doesn't make sense to me.

You want the right to own a gun, but deny a woman thae right to say what happens to her body.

This is a thing that I am so confused about. Men can walk away and have nothing to do with a child, except pay money if they are forced too, where a woman has to go through the body altering effects of growing a child in side her, then have to be the main parent and a great deal of time the only parent.

<p>Let me start off by saying Happy thanksgiving to those in the US.</p><p> </p><p>

Now to what this topic is about. While looking through a group on Facebook, I came across this post.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em><strong>So i wait in line at Target for almost 2 hours to get the 3DS 99 dollar special. When we get in they tell us they never recieved the pallet......so i make a scene of course. So i got the new 3ds XL for 99 </strong></em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Now let me start off by saying..If you're crappy to a sales person you're an #ss. If you do it on a holiday you're an even bigger #sshole </p><p> </p><p>

I don't work retail, but knwo plenty who either do or did. The stories can be horrifying. I have only been rude to a few people who are the "middle man" and that's with Comcast when the lady tried to tell me I had no clue what I was talking about, and I actually did. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>I really hate it when people do these dumb challenges online. Such as the Ice Bucket Challenge or the Mannequin. Sure the IBC was in theory supposed to be for a good cause and it did bring awareness to Lou Gehrig's Disease.</p><p> </p><p>

However, the in theory part of it is that while yes some people did donate money a lot people that I knew personally in real life did not donate a dime. They just did it because it was the cool (No pun intended) thing to do at the time.</p><p> </p><p>

Plus if I personally am going to give to charity I am not going to basically brag about it. I will give the money and that is that. I really hate it when people go out of there way to "prove" how good of a person they are.</p><p> </p><p>

As for the mannequin challenge...well that is just plain old dumb. Maybe if someone were to do it like they used to on Police Squad it would be funny or at least somewhat different from what everyone else is doing. However, it is the same old tired crap in video after video.</p><p> </p><p>

I just realized my Police Squad reference might not be well known. Police Squad was a short-lived television show that served as the precursor for the Naked Gun movies. At the end of an episode they would freeze frame the final scene and while the actors were "frozen" there would be something moving in the background. For instance in one episode they had a convict escaping after looking around and realizing everybody was frozen.</p>

I think I've seen it done the way I prefer maybe 3 or 4 times.</p><p> </p><p> To me, if one of the reasons people are lined outside your store is to get something you know you don't have, you should go outside and make an announcement to let everyone know, multiple times (for the benefit of later arrivals) before you open. I don't care how cold it is, those people are trying to be first in line to get the stuff they want, not to hear "Sorry, that pallet didn't come." That is called horrible customer service, and they SHOULD try and make it up to someone that was counting on it. Yet, that whole thing can be avoided by simply letting people know what you don't have ahead of time... They have the option to leave and see if someone else has it, or stay and see what else you might have... it's now in the customers hands, and the store has done it's part. If someone throws a tantrum after being told multiple times, then it's on them, not the store.</p><p> </p><p> Now, if they are totally prepared to give you a rain check on the item at said price, that's different.</p>

Bad days grind my gears. YEsterday was one of them.

First it started when I booted my computer. I was given a Visual C++ error twice, I'm not sure why.

Then I had a friend come over for a friendly game of cards. and we usually have a snack run before hand...The store didn't have the snack I wanted. (fire crackers)

Well about half way through the game I moved my chair (a rolling office chair given to me by a friend of my partners mom) This chair is older and the wheels have a way of popping out due to age and a lot of use. WELL, the wheel came out as we were moving it, and cracked the wooden piece holding it in place. While putting the wheel back in, my finger got caught between the wooden frame and the plastic cover, so now I have a nice little gash on my pointer finger on my right hand.

I wound up losing the game, as it's one of my favorite games ot play I was bummed.

Well moving my chair back into the computer room. ( not enough chairs at the kitchen table that were free so I used my desk chair) Putting the chair away it got stuck going form hardwood floor to carpet and pulled the wheel again which snapped the wooden piece holding it, and now won't go back in AT ALL. So now I have to buy a new chair.

Decided I was going to go play a game to kill time and make me feel better.

I booted up Diablo 3, as I still don't have the Hardcore 70 achievement, I booted up that and started working on it. My Wizard was at level 46 when I started, then I died....

Anyone that places games with a hardcore mode knows how frustrating it is to lose a game in this mode, well let's just say it sucks...I could easily go through the game on super easy mode, grind out about 50 levels then start the game over powered, but that takes the fun from it for me....Well needless to say I still don't have the achievement. :(

I apologize about the double post but I wanted to share this because I've seen some people post about CNN as the "Clinton News Network." I think we now have some clarity as to why that happened.

This man has played everyone....

It doesn't matter. Trump said he could kill someone in the middle of the street and people would cheer. He's right.

He lied to his voters. Hillary won't go to jail, nor will he lower taxes for lower and middle class families. He's putting people in power who have no reason to be, and his followers eat it up.

But in the end the DNC screwed us. They gave trump the ammo and he used it.

Who cares about hacking when we have emails....

I listened to a podcast a few weeks back, by comedy podcast Cracked of all places, explaining why Trump might have been successful. It explained a divide between city and rural, of how rural Americans feel wronged/ignored by the city-driven political system, and misrepresented by the overwhelmingly democratic media, and how Donald Trump represented a pipe-bomb to all that. So every ridiculous thing he said, that news programmes cried about, had those voters thinking "Yeah. He's breaking their world apart. Go Donald". It wasn't about racism (although there was certainly a minority for whom it might have been) but about frustration in the system. It put forth an idea that Bernie Sanders probably wouldn't have had any more success, as he was just another politician, like all of the ones that have failed them in the past. I don't agree with it, but I get it. British politics works in cycles. Labour not doing the business? Let's go Conservative! Repeat.

I'm not usually interested in American politics, but the theories and ideas I heard on that podcast certainly pique my interest.

While I can see that point of view, it made sense, and maybe by almost any other Republican, I could have been okay with it.

But

What person in their right mind would think a guy like Trump could understand what they are going through? He's never had to worry about money. He's never had to do hard labor for his money, and the way he talks about his "vast fortune" and how he got a "small loan" of a million dollars. In what would could ANYONE think he'd be able to relate to them?
