The GDS RTL League: Sign-up/Discussion Thread

Recommended Posts

Is there a limit on moves we can start off with? And I've noticed that people are taking different numbers of special traits too. Those can be pretty important given the way the league is set up, so there should probably be a limit on them so that people aren't tempted to just set them all to "yes". :)

As I've been entering people into the d-base, I've been testing them against other entries for balance issues. If something came up in the early testing stages that would make the field unlevel, so to speak, I'd speak to the person in question and explain the situation. So far, I've yet to run into a problem. But yeah, anything that looks really odd I'll probably make certain isn't game breaking before we begin. :) As for moves, only one finisher level move is given per player, and that's the finisher given in the ap. everything else is auto-assigned by the CPU, and balanced by me to ensure that moves are available at all levels for everyone.

Will update sign-up thread later tonight (when a PC is available). Hoping to get most of the moves/movesets thrown in tonight, as well as webpages and such. If not tonight, then definitely over the weekend. Also as a reminder, I believe Jaded and Greg McNeish still need to finish applications. I have schedules made up for the current group of twelve, with schedules in reserve if we get more (I'm trying to be ready for everything). Right now, the season will last for 14 weeks, plus 2 "playoff" weeks regardless of entrants. That will put the championship match on or about September 17, if we start on June 4 as planned. If the majority of you want to start early, we can, but I'd still need those apps finished ASAP. Thoughts?

That sounds good. I'm ready to go whenever. Is there an issue with the face/heel divide?

Nah, no real issue with face/heel division that I am aware of. It's not like TEW and an automatic reduction of 15% to the match rating, or something.

Yes. Keep your heel out of my face. I like feet so you might be in trouble. :D

...OK. Moving on.... :p

Do you collect feet, mlt? I used to have a GI Joe who was missing a foot ... mlt, did you steal his foot? :p

All right, everyone's fair game. Muahahahaha!

Well can I move to the fact that I'm the only female with a bunch of awesome guys (and that total goof Prophet)? :p

Fix't!

Well gang, that's another mystery solved. Who wants a Scooby snack? <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<p>I'm totally up for a Scooby snack.</p><p> </p><p>

Sorry for taking so long getting the application in. I wanted to see what sorts of crazy characters were going to show up, so that I could have something interesting to work with. I should have everything finished up and posted by the end of the weekend.</p>

I just was hoping it wouldn't go right to deadline and have an "oh wait, here's a character to enter" moment when I least expect it.</p>

Just a reminder that sign-ups will close at 8:00 PM EDT on Monday, May 31 (a week from the day this post was made). This way I can post the opening write-ups and such so that the first week can go off on June 4th as planned.

Those who have reserved but not finished an application, consider this a friendly reminder. If anyone else out there has been reading along and wants to get in on this, you have a week to get your app done and posted.

Sheesh, Derek, can't sleep for a few hours without you trying to take over my game (which you just lost, by the way....)? :p

Anyhow, as it stands I currently have all members' pages updated to reflect the first week's schedule if things do not change in 9.5 hours. So for those of you who were asking why you already had a loss, you'll see that it's been nullified and everything is now correct.

Also, if you would like your character to have any specific entrance music, PM your choices to me and I'll see if I can't sneak them into the first show.

By the way you both just lost the game.
