Can anyone recommend a skin texture or two?

The thing about Jay for me was that he never looked much like Rip.

 

But then, Rip is how he is after a lifetime of hard drinking, so...

 

I'd have a hard time using any alt for Jay, but with regard to yours, jhd, the hairstyle seems a bit off - almost like he's gone for a combover the way it's all over on his right side. I suppose he does have quite voluminous hair in the original, though.

Personally, I really like the look of your renders. The Cverse background seems to be a bit more conducive to heavier shadowing though, which is probably why the brightness of yours standout against it so much. Either way, keep up the good work.

First, you're out re-rendering the CVerse when Caras Colleccion aand Top Cat Aguila both desperately need new renders.

 

ANd then you whip out this brilliant texture for a patriot mask and you slap it onto a 6th alt for Bulldozer Brandon Smith. You don't think i coulda used that???

Thanks for the vote of confidence, though I must say I'm tempted to use your Bulldozer Brandon renders over my own. Simply awesome job. I originally wanted to do a bigger series like yours, but the insane render time for the hair I used (which isn't helped by my lighting setup... another reason to experiment, maybe) and the lack of a mask prop for the Patriot alt killed those plans.

 

Now that I've got replacements for most of the renders that bug me in my NYCW game, I think I'll move on to doing some ROF guys, since they seem to be one of the big requests. I've got a Billy Robinson that, if all goes well, I should be able to post tomorrow. We'll see how far I get from there.

The thing that jumped out at me about your Smith's resemblance to Don West was the nose, I'd say. Without the goatee I would never have made the connection.

 

The realism thing doesn't bother me - the way I look at the render is that they're headshots on the worker's dossier. Some will be professional, some will be taken in photo booths, some will be magazine scans, and some will be taken in a mirror using a camera phone

 

Personally I like a bit of variety, and I really don't want to discourage anyone from making alts, especially when they're as good as they've been in this thread.

Whilst I like the front page being a list of all the alts, does anyone thing that we could be better served having a contents page like the alts thread?

 

There are 2 ways to do it... Alphabetical or by page. Whilst alphabetical is the most easy to navigate, by page would be a good reference to the actual picture.

 

I would be happy to create and update it, but that would obviously depend on everyones thoughts.

These are fantastic. One question though. Sometimes I have images that when I set them for a worker, it won't apply. For example with these Brandon Smith ones, or that sweet Davis Wayne Newton one after I save the image to be theirs in the editor if I go back to there profile it will be listed as 'no image'. What is the cause of this?

I love the American Patriot render (all of them are great). Absolutely perfect for my 2020 game where his mask prestige is at 100%.

No problem, James, I can certainly understand that (especially if you've been playing TEW for so long). Still, if people want to use it at least they have the option.

Thanks Orange! Dillon is my favourite so far I think but T-Rex is probably most like the original. Chord was a bit of an experiment so I'm glad you like it, even if it does like your RE teacher I'm fairly sure all mine were old women!
