Gamesave Thread for TEW10

Would anyone have interest in a game in April 2025?

It's with 4C, sitting on 70 pop across Canada and high 60s in the US, with $14 million in the bank and a main event including Acid II, American Elemental, Atom Smasher, Edd Stone, Mimic and Darryl Devine.

The company has been stagnant for a long time, so I'd be interested to see if anyone could turn things around.

I have my WCW game zipped up at the start of March 2022 and ready to upload when I get some time.

I've been contemplating an idea that involves my WCW game, but it'd have to be with two people who have a fair amount of experience as a National and higher promotion. You'd need to be familiar with running a 2-hour TV show, handling a PACKED roster, and being able to be in communication via e-mail, PM, or some type of IM. It'd essentially be a multiplayer game that would go at a slow pace (intentionally).

Those familiar with my WCW game are probably wondering what I'm thinking of, so here goes...

I want two people who would like to run two of my major brands along with me. Someone would control Monday Mayhem, another controlling Thursday Takeover, and another controlling Sunday Stampede. You'd run a weekly TV show and a monthly PPV for your brand. We could setup trading between brands (amongst each other) to keep our rosters fresh. There are only two PPVs a year that include workers from all three brands - when it comes to that we could all have input as to what we want to do.

Basically three people using my user character (whose a road agent), one promotion, and three major brands. You'd have full control over your brand (not even I can veto a decision you make).

If anybody is interested, go ahead and send me a PM and I'll get you the latest zipped file of the save game (Week 3, May 2022, where I'm at) to take a look at.

That sounds quite interesting, and good luck to you and anyone you try it with. That much booking is not for me <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I'll post mine once I complete the first yr (currently in sept) in case anyone is interested. By then I should have gone from a 0/0/0/0 startup to cult and hopefully have media deals. plus people might find my giant rosters interesting.

I would be interested.

Thought I would try to revive this thread with a save, hopefully some people are interested.

Database: CornellVerse 2001

Year: 2002

Company: SWF

Ranking: 1st (barely, damn HGC)

Other Notes: Just finished The Supreme Challenge where I had Faith beat Mr. Supreme for the belt, directly after this event Mr. Supreme decided he wanted to pack up and leave for HGC so I jobbed him out in my two shows. What makes this game exciting for me is the potential to play out long term and blood heaps of new talent, I've already done this with plenty of workers.

In case anyone is looking for a new game to try, this is my Road To Glory save game at a pivotal point in our history. I've played a bit further myself as I wasn't going to leave before I had run the World Cup of Wrestling in May... but as of April 2014 the SWF have fallen to cult (through national battles/war with TCW) and are looking for a new head booker, a job you can apply for and get within a couple of days.

The company is a very different from the 2010 version... the main event scene consists of Eric Eisen (injured with a Shatter Elbow just now), Jack Bruce, Jack Giedroyc (North American champion), Lobster Warrior, Marc DuBois (World Champion), Nicky Champion, Remo, Rich Money and Runaway Train... okay, perhaps not that different but each has developed and the undercard is very different. Some people have moved up the card, some have moved on and a lot of new talent has been added to the roster.

+ Special Edition, the pairing of Mainstream Hernandez and John Greed are an exciting tag team who both look like they could be breakout singles stars. Huge star quality, great performance skills and a solid top row could see each of them become huge with the right booking.

+ Masked Patriot is ready to break out. At 26 years old he has a great combination of charisma, star quality, brawling and charisma that could esily see him rise from the lowercard and become a true player. While he may have capped in some other key stats, worse wrestlers have gone on to become World champion (I'm looking at you Runaway Train! But at least your psych has improved a LOT)

+ Matthew Keith locked into a written deal. That's gotta count for something!

+ Randomly generated workers like Peter Hall and Darren Matravers show signs of being real talents, but may require a little more time in development to mature. Similarly, there are a lot of great prospects on the indy scene though with the fall to cult you will have a hard time securing them for development... but you can always send down the people you already have and bring in some new blood.

+ Joffy Laine looks set to be a future star with a few more years in the game, and Lenny Brown is already making waves too.

+ Zimmy Bumfhole on colour commentary after injury ruined his career... his brother works for NOTBPW, so you never need to worry about hating their names! :p

+ One hundred million dollars!

+ Lastly, 7 people on the active wrestling roster have 80+ psychology. Angry Gilmore (UMC, H), Bruce the Giant (UMC, H), Enforcer Roberts (M,H), Lobster Warrior (ME, H), Matthew Keith (LMC, H), Rich Money (ME, F), Squeeky McClean (UMC, H). 14 more have between 70 and 80... so for people who hate seeing psychology penalties, this is your chance to shape an SWF roster who knows how to tell a story.

.....

And if that isn't enough to sell you on joining up with the SWF in 2014... in my save that I've continued on with, the job went to Giant Redwood. You may lose your TV deal (CANN will likely drop you at cult) but you will still be airing in the UK, and sweeps month is just around the corner. It is currently April, and May will see the company ready to change network if necessary.

Alternatively, you could play the promotion I'm playing... but that's probably less interesting. I've got lots of notes about people I've used but I don't think anyone's gonna be interested in them. The SWF job is the fun one, so have at it for something new. :)

Crikey, 11 people have downloaded the SWF file... that's about 10 more than I would've ever thought would do that. :) June 2014 in the same game has seen the BHOTWG booking spot become available after they finished 4th in a national battle with PGHW, GCG and TCW (in that order). They should bounce back up after 6 months barring a massive talent exodus, but for now they've got Hiroaki Nakasawa 5 years into his title reign (with 30 defenses!) and a lot of talent throughout the roster to make them interesting. If you want it, let me know in here or via PM. :)

It's also taking place just after I ran my World Cup of Wrestling, getting some awesome results on the way too. I'm considering writing a mini-diary about it so I don't want to spoiler too much, but I finally got that feeling of creating something epic with this tournament and the urge to share it is quite strong... I just need to find the time to do so, which I'll probably never find cos it's a busy time of year for me and I want to keep on going with the save too. :(

Wow, this is very fun! I took the SWF job and there's a lot of rebuilding to do. Practically everyone on the roster has a stale gimmick so I spent hours giving everyone gimmick overhauls. Brandon James has creative control and he is not afraid to use it so it looks like he's getting a main event push. The tag team scene is pretty redundant so I'm going to spend the next few months building it up. I took the belts of Pain Alliance, BSS is still horrible and they are just going to be job fodder until I build up some better teams. My current tag champs are The Veterans (Joe Sexy and Enforcer Roberts) who will hold the belts for a while. Marc Dubois is a great world champion so I'm keeping the belt on him until at least after this cooling down period is over. Him vs Jack Bruce will be the feud that gets me the ratings and carries me through the next 6 months.

Gilmore was signed by USPW just after I took the job (he is now Money Gilmore) so I jobbed him twice to Mainstream Hernandez and made him eat the pin in a fatal four way match that got the North American belt off of Giedroyc (who still complained) and onto Hernandez. I signed a few young guys to fill my midcard. I'm going to spend a few weeks testing for chemistry then start building my new tag team division. I'm also letting quite a lot of contracts expire as the SWF roster is massive and to be honest I hate/don't have plans for nearly half the people here!

Overall there is still a lot of work to do but it's a lot of fun so far and I know I'm going to enjoy playing this very much. Christian Black will be paired up with someone in a team for a while until he improves. If he meets expectations he may get a push!

Gilmore stayed with SWF on a PPA in my game... which allowed me to sign him up for my IPW promotion. He came too late for the World Cup of Wrestling, but he's playing a significant role for me in his interactions with my main heel stable and he's going to help put over Josh Jones a little in tag team action when I get a little further along the line. My reasoning for putting them together... well, they have very similar top row stats and they're from the same area of the world. I figure Josh Jones has been at least partly inspired by Gilmore's international success and that's why he's off to tour the world himself. The chance to do anything with Gilmore should prove to be an interesting dynamic, and if JJ can deliver the goods he might very well end up with a strong push up the card out of it. Before the World Cup he was an opener... methinks he might end up in the uppercard soon. :)

I'm also loving this save for El Jefe Militar's success. He's gone from being one of the most overlooked guys in the gameworld to a potential international star with an all round game that is developing at a rapid rate. I reckon he'll end up in Japan sooner or later, but I'm hoping to hold on to him for a while as he's been a great anchor for my midcard. I don't know what he likes, but he ALWAYS gets a + in the dirt sheet for motivation. I've tried to work out why, but he seems to get it for any combo I can think of. Which pleases me. :)

Database: 9000-verse v2.4 BETA

So, I've simmed to January 2011 in this, working unemployed. The Avatar is a quick add version of the Scott Summers as Cap. America from Earth-X.

The top 5 are of no surprise:

1: Ultimate Ninja Storm

2: BLEACH

3: MDC2

4: DBZ

5: TOEI

To make the game more interesting, M-UNIT are 3 regions away from hitting national, and have already begun to lock talents down on a written contract.

Now me, I only pay attention to the comic side of things, so I haven't noticed much of the anime moves.

Down on the indy scene is Ares, Black Hand (From PRC), Criti Noll, Red Arrow,The Blob, Sabretooth, Lois Lane, The Black Flash, Wonder Man, Libra, Kingpin, Solomon Grundy, Warpath and probably more that I've missed as MDC2/M-Unit don't release very often.

PLUS: You don't have to wait for a lot of the new debuts either!

What this means for you:

You could EASILY start up a Cult Promotion and have a ready made main event scene.

This thread's recent revival brought this to my attention, and I immediately saw the problem: the roster's too big. So I've been letting the older guys' contracts expire while leeching overness onto some promising regens.

The title history is wild. The 4C Championship's been held by the likes of Remo, Money and Frehley all the way to Chris Flynn (twice!) and Cal Sanders.

The other thing I noticed is that women's wrestling is integrated, but no woman's ever held a title. Brooke Tyler's about to change all that...

Sounds interesting. I'd really like to see what you do with it - it was my first real game, so I no doubt made a lot of mistakes along the way. Thanks for giving it a go. :)

Oh, and Flynn was putting on 80+ rated matches for a while!
