<p>I agree with the lack of new-gen especially since most staff is still appearing on last-gen. It's why I'm hopeful that Witcher 3 is gonna be good as it's new-gen only (and PC) </p><p> </p><p>

What it does mean is that I get more time to play the smaller indie games</p>

GTA V I have yet to play online but the story mode is great to replay and game looks beautiful.<p> </p><p> </p><p> Forza Horizon 2 is bad? Umm no not even close. FH2 was a great change from Forza 5. Great game though but shouldnt be on last gen. To say next gen isnt lving up to the hype is beyond a false statement. These consoles have been out 2 years now. They need some time. How long until the PS3 and 360 got their bugs fixed? Not nearly as fast. These consoles are monsters and just need time for elite games to come out. But you seem real shallow on your games. Give Microsoft and Sony time to allow you to add pictures, music, ect to consoles. All in due time it will happen.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I work around criminals every day but it doesn't make me an expert thief or able to get away with murder so are you telling me that because you work around games all day your opinion is more validated than mine? <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> I paid a lot of money for something I'm not entirely happy with so said as much - and I waited a year to do so! Like I said, I gave <span style="text-decoration:underline;">MY</span> opinion based on <span style="text-decoration:underline;">MY</span> experiences. If you or Theodore Giankolpolous of Nantwich are happy to spend £39.99 on a 360 version and then £49.99 on the One version because it "looks beautiful" then that's your choice. You earn that money, you spend it on what you like - go on you have my permission <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />. I personally think £90 on 2 versions of a game is a bit of a con, and as a consumer I'm entitled to say as much.</p><p> </p><p> "Too damn picky"? For the money they charge you're damn right I'm picky! I don't believe I said Dragon Age was rubbish though, I said I got bored of it and didn't like melee combat. Glad your customers loved the game. Just because you say a game is "good" doesn't make it fact because I probably like a lot of games you might think are garbage and vice versa. Forza Horizon 2 is, in my opinion, garbage.</p><p> </p><p> "Shallow"? No - but thanks for the psycho analysis of my personality. Usually I gotta pay my therapist a lot of money for that sort of insight. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> My gameplay varies on my mood. Some days a decent shooter, some days an RPG or maybe even an arcade style game if I just want to kill 30 minutes. Simulation games, Strategy games anything that appeals to me on a given day - and has decent game play that can make me forget I just spent the last 8 or so hours trying to help put criminals in prison. Now go look up the word Shallow and see if it is defined as "Open to all aspects of a specific subject". What I lack is the ability to be entertained by the same rehashed games I've already played through just because it's all shiny and new on the Xbox One version.</p><p> </p><p> Alternatively you don't need to read the above and can consider me put in my place as the shallow, picky heathen I am. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

If strategy gaming is your thing, then Quill18 is worth a watch. I also watch CohhCarnage on Twitch, but his Youtube is just recordings on his twitch streams, so might not be as much fun to watch 'pre-recorded' as it were.

TotalBiscuit is good for 'reviews' (though he'd hate me for calling them that :p).

Jesse Cox is good for... er... being Jesse Cox.

Funhaus are also good, it's quite fun watching guys riff on awful PC games. He doesn't do them much anymore, but Spoony's playthrough of SWAT 4 is one of the funniest LP's I've ever watched. Spoony also has riffs of a couple employee training videos, which is actually much better than it sounds.</p><p> </p><p> I know I'm forgetting some, but those are the ones I watch the most.</p>

Eh, DansGaming I've never really liked. He just seems like a bit of a dick, and isn't good enough at the games he plays to compensate.

To be a good Twitch broadcaster IMO you've either got to be damn good at at least one genre of games, or a highly entertaining personality. Dan is neither, but he's successful so I guess other people disagree. :p

<p>Got the game, but won't be playing until I finish Witcher 2 again, or somehow watch the movies on youtube. And there will be patches in a month or so, so there's that.</p><p> </p><p>

I started another session of CKII (HIP mod) and enjoying it a lot so far. Sometimes it's a pain to determine how to roleplay characters. Now I was playing a humble character that was neither ambitious nor content. Would he press the claim of a dynasty member to annex Aquilaine? I had lots of bad luck in the battlefield duels, my best warriors getting slain by lesser heretics (even though the deck was stacked in my favor, damnit). Anyhow: the game has come quite far and if you think about what it is now - with the mod and the various amounts of DLC - it almost seems like the best game ever (barring OF COURSE Baldur's Gate II... and maybe Ocarina of Time). And a playthrough is immense. I played for 2 days straight and I'm only in 1020 with 400 years to go.</p>

Bahaha, I'm not sure if it changes based on the route you took in W2, but the name Geralt gives his horse is genius.

And there's an in-game CCG. I'm sold. Not the first game to do it, obviously, but it's better than the dice.

Edit: Not so keen on the 'meditate and it only takes some alcohol to replenish every alchemical thing you have equipped' thing though. I mean, sure, it's convenient and saves on farming materials, but it makes no bloody sense. I might be the only one, but I preferred it when you had to work a bit to make bombs and potions and stuff.

If you've not played Witcher 1/2 but are planning on (/are) playing Witcher 3, here's a pretty good guide to what's gone on before, that doesn't spoil the new game. It's not 100% accurate, but gets the general info out there in a pretty easy-to-read format, IMO:

http://kotaku.com/a-beginner-s-guide-to-the-world-of-the-witcher-1704506152

(Should be obvious but: the above was not written by me. Although given the writing style, it pretty much could've been).

Edit: It does actually have a spoiler for the end of the prologue (the White Orchard section), but it doesn't give away anything that you wouldn't have already figured was going to happen if you knew who Ciri was.

<p>Has anyone been playing Life Is Strange? I know episodic games won't be to everyone's taste, but Dontnod is doing some interesting things with the gameplay: decisions made have an impact on how the story develops, to an extent at least.</p><p> </p><p>

Episode 3 came out yesterday and left a pretty big cliffhanger...the next six weeks or so are going to feel like a long time!</p>

Has anyone here played Ghost Control Inc? I bought it when it first came out buy only got around to playing it last night. I'm having a blast playing it, at the moment, but I fear it's going to become incredibly repetitive and I'm going to give up on it... Has anyone had a prolonged game on this? I just bought the second HQ in my game so I'm hoping that'll inject some extra things to do into my game (there's only so many times I can go back to the same park and fight the same ghosts lol).

So I figured I would now give my opinions of the Witcher 3 (which is taking over every spare minute I have!)

I am loving the game, sure there are a few little annoyances, but I don't want to focus on negatives when the game has so many more positives that make you shrug off any little glitch you may find. I've failed 2 side quests so far, but to be honest, the 2 I failed I didn't really care about the mission in the first place and was just using them as a potential for some more coin. I'm trying not to give spoilers away too much, but I will say this, if you are going to play Gwent, do so before you get too far into the story because one of the people I was supposed to win a unique card from has died (I won't say who as there are plenty of people you need to win cards from). It annoyed me as I now can't realistically complete the "Collect them All" Quest. Also, others based on your actions will no longer be available to play due to some of your actions during the main (or side) quests pissing them off.

I've not traveled to the Island of Skelige yet so don't know what that will have to offer, mainly because Velen and Novrigad have taken up all my time exploring, and I've still not found everything yet! Today i plan on exploring the South Eastern corner of Velen and seeing what I can uncover. For me, this is probably now my favourite game out because it has grabbed my full attention to the point I don't realise anything going on around me in real life.

Oh yeah, and I've found 2 brothels...
