<p>Doesn't it have native 360-controller support? Lots of games have it. Works great for me.</p><p> </p><p>

As for Watch Dogs, I also don't see me playing the game before a decent sale happens. I'm generally fine with GTA-style games. That said, I stopped playing GTA in about 1/3rd of the playthrough (estimate) because I got bored. Didn't see the previews but I imagine you're 'hacking' some servers to change traffic lights and open gates etc. It's probably going to be more diverse than this, but atm it doesn't excite me a lot to be honest. I'd rather spend my time taking TEW13 for a new spin, as I never properly played the game so far.</p><p> </p><p>

Finally we see some videos of actual gameplay for EA UFC and it does look decent enough in the sense that we now know it won't be crap. I'm still somewhat sceptical but I might just buy a next-gen console for this if one of both providers manages to excite me at E3. Speaking about E3: you guys looking forward to it? Apart from Dragon Age 3 I don't know of any new games that manage to garner my interest. But then again: I don't know a lot lately. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Especially as there hasn't really been a game that defines this generation of gaming as yet so I'm sure companies are clambering to be the one that produces that game. I'm also looking forward to any announcements regarding the next updates for the PS4, as I, for one, have really enjoyed some of the features that came with update 1.70.</p>

I mean, hacking the CtOS buildings, stopping crimes before they happen, attacking gang hideouts and much, much more; I mean I can't drive down a street without the map lighting up like the 4th of July. Not to mention I think it offers just as much as GTA in terms of mindless violence. You'll obviously never get to a point when the army come after you because there is no 5-star system but I find any police chase satisfying in Watch Dogs, having to use the environment to escape. I also think it's highly humorous, just not in an in your face "I'm Trevor Phillips" kind of way. It's more subtle than that, in like many peoples information as you walk past them. From what little I've played online, there seems to be a lot available there too. This generation of console games so far has proved one thing: insane levels of hype leading to unprecedented levels of disappointment. I recently visited my local library's main building for the first time and was shocked to find out that not only do they have an incredible selection of books, but they also have video games. They didn't have the newest games or anything, but they had a pretty good selection of PS3, PS2, Wii, and XBox 360 games to choose from. I grabbed Darksiders and to my surprise, it's free for a week. I figured since it was a game, there'd be some sort of fee. I played Darksiders back when it came out and I never got too far into it for some reason. I don't even remember why, but I'm having a blast. It's pretty much God of War with Christian Mythology instead of Greek, but I love the story. I also love that Mark Hamill is in it.

They also had Darksiders 2, so when I finish this one, I'll pick that one up to play as Death.

Yeah, I got LA Noire during a steam sale, and I love it. :)

As for Watch Dogs... eh, I'm kinda burned out on GTA/SR-style open-world games. Watch Dogs isn't THAT different, certainly not as different as they claimed it would be. And it looks crap compared to the EA previews. Don't get me wrong, it looks good. Comparable to stuff like GTA5 and Saint's Row, sure. But it doesn't look BETTER than those games, which the preview build very much did. Maybe there'll be a "sorry we had to compromise so much for the consoles, guys" patch soon.

It's the sort of game I'll pick up in a sale (a Ubisoft sale? Ahahaha, so in 2054 then) but not interested in buying full-price.

Don't know what platform you'd be buying on but I got it for £30 on g2a.com as a digital download for my PC (normal version, not deluxe - an hours extra gameplay isn't worth an extra £10 in my opinion), thats £20 cheaper than most other places I have seen.

I'm playing the PC version... I think it's just fine - once you accept that steering vehicles in any game based upon the GTA-series is a nightmare on the PC...

You're on of the lucky ones if you can play it fine on PC.. I beat all the recommended specs and it chugged only at single digit FPS until I reduced all the settings.. but at that point, it looked so ugly there was no point.

PC port is notoriously bad as im sure you can see by this quick search on goggle

I figure this is the best place to ask advice; my PC gets very, very hot when I play high end games, is there anyway to cool it down? I've only had it a short while, and it's pretty high end. It has two fans in the front, a fan on the psu and a fan on the motherboard. Despite this, when I open SpeedTest it only tells me three fans are running? SpeedTest tells me my GPU and CPU are over heating, but everything else is fine.

I'm not sure how I can keep it cool. Is it worth investing in a water cooler?

I'm assuming you bought a complete PC somewhere for my thoughts here - sounds like one of the fans is just not running, causing this heat issue. If you get water cooling you're gonna invest a bit of money and, adding it to a system like yours also requires you to know what you're doing. If you know your way around installing this sorta stuff and have the money sure, why not, but the problem is still likely a fan not being properly connected. Since there should still be warranty on your system, have the shop you got it from sort it out without you paying a dime.

<p>I finished the main story in LA Noire this evening and enjoyed the game a lot. Solid and fresh concept in an always fun "GTA world" - and with an impressive cast with lots of recognizable actors. The photo realism improved immersion for me.</p><p> </p><p>

It did get somewhat repetitive at times though, and the game hit a bit of a low for me when <span style="color:#FFFFFF;">I was transferred to boring vice cases after the full-on adrenaline homicide cases.</span> It improved when <span style="color:#FFFFFF;">doing arson though, and playing as Kelso (whom I hope is the main character of a potential sequel, he rocked hard) was a nice addition.</span></p>

Finished the first Darksiders game. The Destroyer was an amazing boss fight. I got my butt handed to me a dozen times before I gave up and went to get a lot of the artifacts and the Abyssal Armor just to stand a better chance. By the time I returned, he had only taken a total of one health bar down and he did that in his second form. I adore the storyline this game has. Incredibly well done and I love how it mixes Christian mythology and their own take on things(especially some of the twists). Going to try and pick up the second one tomorrow. Death has a cooler look than War does, so hopefully he's just as fun to play as.

My roommate was watching me play and I was telling him about how it reminded me of God Of War with Christian elements instead of Greek and he pointed out the many similarities gameplay/puzzle wise between Darksiders and Legend of Zelda, another one of my favorites. Very cool combination of Zelda and God of War game mechanics with even a little of DMC thrown in.

I read that Simon Templeman does a voice in the second game, so I'm hoping I hear a lot of him as Kain(Blood Omen/Soul Reaver) is one of my all time favorite characters.

The second one was recently for sale at about 1€ as part of a bundle. Never could bring myself to play it as it's not my style. I loved Zelda OoT to death but don't play it anymore as I don't like the gameplay anymore. You find a new item, you use it in the same dungeon. Puzzles are basically requiring you to sift through your items until you come across the one that settles it. It's searching until you find it. I'd rather stay busy and not wander around, even if it's just "killing critters" like in Skyrim. It's more purposeful to me.

Darksiders 2 might be one of the buggiest games I have played in the longest time. It says I've put an hour into so far and a good chunk of that was just waiting for the freaking inventory screen to pop up(took almost a minute a few times). In conversations the characters' mouths move, but no words are being said and I'm not getting any audio or subtitles(even though I have them turned on). I browsed the internet looking to see if it's just a PS3 issue or not, but apparently quite a bit of PC users had the same issues in non English speaking countries, but I doubt that's my issue since it's a North American PS3.

The combat and running around and whatnot works fine, but anytime Death has a conversation with anyone, I don't get anything. I'm missing out on the story and it's breaking the game for me. :(
