I only played Prince of Persia for 360 (the '08 version). Or I think it was that version. Not a bad game by any means, but some (albeit not mindless) platforming, which I dislike in general. Not recommended, but that might just be me.

If you dislike platforming, what made you want to play Prince of Persia? The whole series is like, 70% platforming.

My fears that Watch Dog would be horribly overrated have been appeased; the game deserves every award and all the praise it has gotten. Really enjoyed everything I've done so far, and I've only done a couple of actual missions. Most of my time has been spent outside of missions just exploring the environment, and there's plenty to do. I can't quite believe how entertaining it is just to get into a police chase and turn the barriers on as you whiz past. xD

<p>Well, I mentioned it might just be me. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

I knew the base of it was platforming, but I thought it would be more action-adventure-oriented. Combat was pretty stale anyway. But I played it because those were my active trading-days, where I basically traded games for other games through mail (as we lack a rental service). I played most decently rated games back then.</p>

Plus, you have things like an ability tree where you can buy new abilities in different categories, you can craft new items by collecting chemicals and electronics and the map is <strong>huge</strong>. The only downfall I can find so far is the driving because - believe it or not - it's worse than GTA. As I said before though, just travelling around is a real blast. When you've got your smartphone out it gives you a little bit of information on people as you walk past them and it's the little things like someone being described as "Transgender" which really make it fun. xD</p>

I'm willing to give some fb. I'm far from a hearthstone expert, but I'm an avid cardgamer (I've basically played them all <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/rolleyes.png.4b097f4fbbe99ce5bcd5efbc1b773ed6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />).</p><p> </p><p> The decks I like most atm are Sorcerer aggro and Paladin weenies. Never copied any decklists from online as I only have a handful of epics or legends or whatever it's called (the superrare cards). But quite frankly it's easy enough to make fun decks as the cardbase is still very small.</p>

I finally bought LA Noire some days ago after having eyed it for ages, and I'm having a blast with it. Great style, I wish they'd do a sequel. I should have gotten this game sooner.

Yeah, I got LA Noire during a steam sale, and I love it. :)

As for Watch Dogs... eh, I'm kinda burned out on GTA/SR-style open-world games. Watch Dogs isn't THAT different, certainly not as different as they claimed it would be. And it looks crap compared to the EA previews. Don't get me wrong, it looks good. Comparable to stuff like GTA5 and Saint's Row, sure. But it doesn't look BETTER than those games, which the preview build very much did. Maybe there'll be a "sorry we had to compromise so much for the consoles, guys" patch soon.

It's the sort of game I'll pick up in a sale (a Ubisoft sale? Ahahaha, so in 2054 then) but not interested in buying full-price.

<p>Watch dogs is fun. While it lacks GTA5's options and distractions it's a smart game. GTA's smart too... the story was great and the comedy is slick.</p><p> </p><p>

This game is different, you do have to use your brain from time to time. And the story is pretty great so far</p>

(That may come across sarcastic or in an undesired tone, but I'm genuinely asking.) I mean, hacking the CtOS buildings, stopping crimes before they happen, attacking gang hideouts and much, much more; I mean I can't drive down a street without the map lighting up like the 4th of July. Not to mention I think it offers just as much as GTA in terms of mindless violence. You'll obviously never get to a point when the army come after you because there is no 5-star system but I find any police chase satisfying in Watch Dogs, having to use the environment to escape. I also think it's highly humorous, just not in an in your face "I'm Trevor Phillips" kind of way. It's more subtle than that, in like many peoples information as you walk past them. From what little I've played online, there seems to be a lot available there too. I don't know, everything I've done so far I've really enjoyed and as you said, the story is really telling.</p>

I rotate it into my now playing collection every now and then when I'm fixing for a great game to play or just have nothing else to play. I'd love to see another game like it too but no idea how or if it would happen what with Team Bondi going bust... I can imagine Rockstar would have bought up the tech used to create the game and could likely do some form of spiritual sequel.</p>
