Sorry I missed the last couple of shows, been kind of busy with other things, but I must say you have continued to do a real bang up job here. You have made TWL alot better than I have in my own games. So great job there bud.</p>

I, for one, have been terribly busy and haven't been able to post nearly as often as I'd like. </p><p> </p><p> Glad to hear that you enjoy my take on TWL. I've tried to keep it as true to late 70s/early 80s wrestling as possible, much as I'd like to occasionally throw in a triple-threat match or whatever. I'm also glad to see that your SWF '97 game is back up and going. It has been one of my personal favorites so far! </p><p> </p><p> On a side note, if there is anyone you'd like to see more of, let me know. I have some very definite plans for the next several months of in-game time, but am always interested in what you, the readers, enjoy or don't enjoy in "GBT"!</p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#008000;">“Well, Lawrence, I’m durn glad you asked. Because folks, we have got some real barnburners scheduled for this evening. Sunday’s big High Noon event was amazing and I’m sure we’ll see some of the fallout from that as well. But tonight we have the Masked Patriot in action and a main event pitting Cheatin’ Mike Barstow against one of our favorite Texans, the Trailer Park Kid. Plus a special announcement from Sheik Mustafa.” He muttered some anti-Arab comment under his breath, though the microphone just picked up something about camels or canals (tough to tell with Stampy). “But first, we’re headed to the ring where two of my boys, Archie Judge and Dave Wylde, seek revenge against the Crimson Serpent Cult, who defeated them at High Noon.”</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Team Texas (Archie ‘The Governor’ Judge/Dave ‘Double-Wide’ Wylde) w/Debbie Dallas v. Crimson Serpent Cult (Cobra/Viper)</strong></p><p>

<em>Billy’s Take</em>: Team Texas came out first and the crowd was on its feet. Archie and Dave slapped fans’ hands while Debbie Dallas waved amicably at the hooting and hollering crowd. When the Cult emerged, the crowd suddenly went silent, the air gone from the auditorium. The duo slunk to the ring, Viper carrying a writhing burlap sack (which we’d not seen in months) containing their favorite snake. Debbie Dallas went white with fear and had to be calmed by Dave outside the ring. Inside the ring, this was as one-sided as their encounter at High Noon. The Cult punished the less experienced Texans, beating them pillar to post. Viper hit a crescent kick that damn-near decapitated Wylde and could’ve easily made the pin. But instead Cobra distracted me by threatening Debbie with the python. And in the instant my back was turned, I saw out of the corner of my eye a bright flash. When I turned back around, Wylde was writhing in pain on the mat, holding his face as Viper slithered over to make the pinfall. </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>As medical personnel came to check on Dave Wylde (and security emerged to escort Archie and Debbie to the back), the Texas Outlaws strode down to the ring – giving the downed Team Texas barely a second glance. <strong>Johnny Lawless</strong> snatched the house microphone and started to speak in an angry drawl. <span style="color:#FF0000;">“At High Noon, ah was cheated. That no-good, red-skinned, yellow-bellied Injun done me wrong. But I’m a bigger man than him and I mean to prove it. See, I realized that night that the Texas Outlaws,” </span>he motioned to his compatriots, “<span style="color:#FF0000;">is about more than winnin’ the big gold belt. Naw, it’s about provin’ that we are the very best Texas has to offer. And I decided that the best way ta’ do that was to take them six-man titles away from Pain and them damn Australian SOBs he’s runnin’ around wit.”</span> <span style="color:#8B0000;">“**** yeah!”</span> <strong>Floyd 'F-Bomb' Bowman</strong> spat into the microphone he pulled away from Lawless.<span style="color:#8B0000;"> “Did you hear that Pain and you New Zealand Game ****ers? </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Captain USA v. Comrade Popinowski w/Sheik Mustafa</strong></p><p>

<em>Billy’s Take</em>: Popinowski came out first, looking as if he’d pop if poked with a needle (not that he needed another needle in his body…), while Sheik Mustafa incessantly waved a red and yellow Soviet flag. The crowd mercilessly booed the duo, starting up a spontaneous “U…S…A” chant which only swelled when Popinowski’s opponent, Captain USA, emerged from the back – encouraging the rowdy crowd with his own roaring “U..S..A” Inside the ring, however, Captain USA did not fare so well as, after only a few minutes of one-sided action, Popinowski nearly caved in Captain USA’s chest with a powerful Polish Hammer to pick up the win. </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Comrade Popinowski</strong> pushed the unconscious Captain USA out of the ring with his boot while <strong>Sheik Mustafa </strong>took a microphone, signaling to the back for <strong>Panzer</strong> to join the duo already in the ring. <span style="color:#FF0000;">“At High Noon, I told stupid Americans that I have big announcement to make tonight. But maybe I not tell you. You don’t look smart enough to understand. Ah, no matter. You see, I have new hero. New man who makes world a better place. New man who puts capitalist pigs under his boot. That man is the Ayatollah Khomeini – leader of Iran. In honor of his greatness, I am no longer Sheik Mustafa, but </span><span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>Ayatollah Mustafa</strong></span><span style="color:#FF0000;">! All will bow before the power of the Ayatollah and my loyal comrades, Panzer and Popinowski!” </span>Popinowski waved the Soviet flag while Panzer glowered at fans menacingly. <strong>C-</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>+++++++++++++++++++++++++</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#008000;">“That is despicable,”</span> Stampy growled into the microphone. <span style="color:#008000;">“Never in all my years of wrasslin’ have I ever heard something so foul. Oh, I wish I could climb back in that ring and show the ‘Ayatollah’ what being an American is all about!” </span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#800080;">“Speaking of what an American is all about, our next match features one of the most patriotic men in all of professional wrestling, the Masked Patriot, going to battle with young Sam ‘Twelve’ Gauge over an attack perpetrated by Gauge on last week’s episode of Texas Wrestling. Let’s head down to the ring!”</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/TheMaskedPatriot.jpg</span> <strong>VS</strong> <span>http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/SamKeith_alt1.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>The Masked Patriot v. Sam ‘Twelve’ Gauge</strong></p><p>

<em>Billy’s Take</em>: Gauge didn’t get much reaction when he came out, but the cheers for the Masked Patriot were deafening – particularly after the last segment dominated by the self-proclaimed Ayatollah. But any underdog role Gauge had before the match disappeared quickly as he matched moves with the popular masked star. The two wrestled a very scientific match, the momentum swinging back and forth with Gauge continuing to fight a clean bout. In the end, he escaped an attempted Patriot Slam and locked in a wicked-looking wrist and shoulder hold. Patriot screamed in pain, but refused to surrender. Patriot inched closer and closer to the ropes, finally grasping the bottom rope in desperation. I told Gauge to break the count, but he refused. I began counting. 1…he cinched in the hold tighter. 2…Patriot bellowed in agony. 3…Gauge smirked, as if enjoying Patriot’s pain. 4…Patriot grimaced (at least as much as a masked man can visibly demonstrate pain). 5…I called for the bell, disqualifying Gauge and awarding the match to the Masked Patriot. Gauge finally did break the hold, then, and raised three fingers on his right hand, signifying that this was the third of the twelve ways he could maim a man. </p><p>

<strong>Patriot d. Gauge via DQ</strong></p><p>

Match Rating: <strong>C</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#800080;">“Wow, what a match Stampy! That youngster held his own in there against a real good veteran and may’ve been able to win if he’d just broken the hold.” </span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#008000;">“Well, maybe Lawrence, maybe. He did put up one heck of a fight. But bein’ a good professional wrassler is about more than inflicting pain. It’s also about using your head. And he definitely didn’t do that right there. Speakin’ of usin’ your head, Cheatin’ Mike Barstow is one of the smartest, if not one of the most well-liked, men here in the TWL. But up next he’ll face a real stiff challenge from one of our favorite Texans, the Trailer Park Kid, who still has to be hoppin’ mad since Floyd Bowman busted up his car with a chain a couple of weeks back!” </span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Trailer Park Kid w/Debbie Dallas v. Cheatin’ Mike Barstow</strong></p><p>

<em>Billy’s Take</em>: The Trailer Park Kid came out first, accompanied by the lovely Debbie Dallas. He let fall the cigarette dangling languidly from his lips and put it out with his wrestling boot, stopping only momentarily. The crowd roared its approval of their blue-collar hero, but then immediately turned sour once the opportunistic Barstow emerged, his hand still casted (though all indications are that he hasn’t needed the thing in weeks). The match itself was quite good, featuring a lot of back and forth. The Trailer Park Kid electrified the crowd with a dropkick that sent Barstow sprawling to the floor while Cheatin’ Mike relied on a more mat-based approach (liberally laced with thumbs to the eye, hair pulling, and other tricks of the trade). In the end, Cheatin’ Mike emerged victorious after bashing the Trailer Park Kid with his cast as the Kid attempted a Double-Wide Dive. Since the cast is technically part of Barstow’s arm and not a foreign object, I had no choice but to count to three and award the match to Cheatin’ Mike. </p><p>

<strong>Barstow d. Trailer Park Kid via pinfall</strong></p><p>

Match Rating:<strong> C+</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>As <strong>Debbie Dallas </strong>checked on the <strong>Trailer Park Kid</strong>, the Crimson Serpent Cult – <strong>Cobra</strong> and <strong>Viper</strong> – slithered toward the ring from the backstage area. Apparently they’d decided to expand their carnage to other associates of Team Texas by attacking the Kid. But before the duo could reach the fallen Kid or the terrified Debbie, <strong>Chief Two Eagles </strong>and the <strong>Masked Patriot </strong>hit the ring, causing the Cult to double-back and slink away. Chief Two Eagles took a microphone, his face a mask of sadness. <span style="color:#0000FF;">“Two years ago, I left the TWL to commune with the old spirits, to be one with nature, and to walk the path of the undead. When I returned, I saw two men downtrodden and soulless. I took in those men and came to call them friends. But now, Cobra and Viper, our friendship is over. You’ve once again become the spiritless devils – the Black Serpent Cult – you were when I found you, having sold your very souls to this “Him.” And the time has come to remove that scourge from the state of Texas. So, Cobra and Viper, I am challenging you to a match at Blood Red Sunset; the two of you against myself and my partner, the Masked Patriot. I will not rest until I have avenged the honor of Texas and of the Great Mother. So Cobra, Viper – prepare to meet the Maker when you step into the ring with Team America!” </span><strong>C-</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p>

Gauge should win. Patriot might have something to say about that though.

I've gotta pick a face to win during the show somewhere.

2/4. I agree with all of your insight here. Gauge basically did win - he looked incredibly strong in defeat. Though I've been watching some early 80s random wrestling stuff and they still cheered DQ wins for babyfaces - even if the heels basically dominated. That was what I wanted to get across here without hurting Patriot too much. And, like you insinuated, Patriot doesn't like to job.

There is a lot of bad blood in this contest. Edmond Jackson has feuded with his son, Jason, for the better part of a year. Jason and his new pal Kenzo Isozaki have battled 'New School''s old running buddies - Eruption and Tsunami - since Kenzo arrived in TWL. And Professor Nero is generally just a bloodthirsty individual. Expect fireworks here.

'The Mayne Event' Kenny Maynard/Luis Montero w/Shannon v. 'Handsome' Tommy Handell/'Luscious' Lee Wright w/Artie Goldstein

Maynard and Montero are a pair of young up-and-comers with tremendous athleticism and charisma while Handell and Wright are nearly as young, but much more streetwise. Who will prevail in this battle of the future generation?

Pain v. Floyd 'F-Bomb' Bowman

Pain is, simply put, one of the strongest, most ruthless men in all of professional wrestling. But Floyd is a whirling dervish of curse words, loaded fists, and ***-kicking boots. This one won't be pretty, but is guaranteed to be intense.

Chief Two Eagles/The Masked Patriot/Trailer Park Kid w/Debbie Dallas v. Cheatin' Mike Barstow/Black Serpent Cult (Cobra/Viper)

The Cult turned their back on Chief Two Eagles and his all-American partner, the Masked Patriot, recently while Barstow has had issues with all the members of the face team. This match, too, is guaranteed to tear down the house.

Quick Picks:

'Old School' Edmond Jackson/Double Disaster (Eruption/Tsunami) v. 'New School' Jason Jackson/'The Oriental Assassin' Kenzo Isozaki/Professor Nero

The Mexi-Can Connection ('The Mayne Event' Kenny Maynard/Luis Montero) w/Shannon v. 'Handsome' Tommy Handell/'Luscious' Lee Wright w/Artie Goldstein

Groovy, wheres my check? Daddy needs some new bell bottoms.

No, bell bottoms will clash with the powder-blue, crushed-velvet leisure suit I'm sure you have in your closet.

To get in the mood for writing this show, I listened to ABBA. God help us all!!

Texas Wrestling

Irvine Hall (Midsouth)

April (Week Two) 1979

Attendance: 5,000

Rating: 0.15 on Channel 7 Regional

The program kicked off with a camera zoomed in on a young girl kneeling beside her bed, hands folded as if in prayer. “And God bless Mother, and God bless Father. But most of all, God bless Texas!” Then the screen cut to the Lone Star Stampeder and Lawrence Grove, seated behind a desk at ringside.

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/TheLoneStarStampeder.jpghttp://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/MarvinEarnest.jpg

“Good evening and welcome Texas wrestling fans! I’m Lawrence Grove and I’m joined, as always, by the Lone Star Stampeder. Stampy, what do we have in store for our fans tonight?”

“Welp, I’ll tell ya’ Lawrence. Tonight the powerhouse Pain will take on TWL’s resident potty-mouth, Floyd ‘F-Bomb’ Bowman while the main event is scheduled to be a six-man match pittin’ Cheatin’ Mike Barstow and the Crimson Serpent Cult against Trailer Park Kid, the Masked Patriot, and TWL champion Chief Two Eagles. But up first, we’ve got another six-man match as ‘Old School’ Edmond Jackson teams with the TWL Tag champs, Double Disaster, to take on ‘New School’ Jason Jackson, his associate ‘The Oriental Assassin’ Kenzo Isozaki, and Professor Nero. Let’s head down to the ring for some wrasslin’ action!”

‘Old School’ Edmond Jackson/Double Disaster (Eruption/Tsunami) v. ‘New School’ Jason Jackson/‘The Oriental Assassin’ Kenzo Isozaki/Professor Nero

Billy’s Take: This was an old-fashioned fight from the opening bell. Edmond Jackson and Double Disaster made a terrific team – Jackson’s ring savvy and experience perfectly complementing the raw power of the Samoans. On the flip side, Jason weaseled out of doing much heavy-lifting, instead forcing Kenzo to remain in the ring and only taking opportunistic tags. Both Jason and Kenzo seemed a bit unsure of their tag partner – the bald-pated, sadistic Professor Nero. When the Professor entered the ring, he dipped into his bag of tricks – feigning injury and luring in his attackers before quickly striking. In the end, it was this ring psychology that put over the heels as Nero locked Edmond Jackson into a Descent into Madness – his shaking sleeperhold – while Jason and Kenzo battled the tag team champions outside the ring.

Jackson/Isozaki/Nero d. Jackson/Double Disaster via Descent into Madness

Match Rating: C+

“What a humdinger of a match there though I can’t say I liked who won. Well fans, let’s head back to the ring where Lawrence is gonna interview two of the contestants in our next match.”

“Thank you Stampy,” Lawrence Grove replied. “Tonight it is my pleasure to introduce one of TWL’s newest tag teams, the Mexi-Can Connection – Luis Montero and ‘The Mayne Event’ Kenny Maynard! And they are joined by the lovely Miss Shannon. Luis, Kenny, what can you tell me about your new partnership?” Kenny Maynard, the much more outgoing of the two, took hold of the microphone. “Well Larry, we’ve both faced a lot of adversity here in TWL. Most recently, Cheatin’ Mike Barstow’s taken pot shots at Luis and I’ve been jumped a couple of times here. So we’re going to watch each other’s backs. And we also have had to deal with being outsiders – Luis here is from Mexico and I’m Canadian. And Ayatollah Mustafa has given us foreigners a bad name. So the Mexi-Can Connection is here to change that and to take TWL by storm, with the support of you wonderful fans!” Grove took back the microphone. “Well they certainly are enthusiastic! But they’ll face a stiff test here as the Mexi-Can Connection takes on Artie Goldstein’s team of ‘Handsome’ Tommy Handell and ‘Luscious’ Lee Wright!" C-

Mexi-Can Connection (Luis Montero/‘The Mayne Event’ Kenny Maynard) w/Shannon v. ‘Handsome’ Tommy Handell/‘Luscious’ Lee Wright w/Artie Goldstein

Billy’s Take: For all of Artie Goldstein’s ringside antics – including threatening to sue one fan who dared throw some popcorn at him and another who nearly dumped his beer on TWL’s resident Wall Street lawyer – this was a fairly one-sided encounter. Montero and Maynard showed exceptional teamwork in constantly tagging into the ring and out, keeping Handell and Wright off-balance. In the end, Maynard picked up the win after tossing down Tommy Handell following a big running powerslam.

Mexi-Can Connection d. Handell/Wright via Running Powerslam

Match Rating: C-

“What a debut for the Mexi-Can Connection! Whaddya think Lawrence?”

“Oh absolutely. I think we can expect big things from those two young men! Up next, unfortunately, we have an interview with the Crimson Serpent Cult to share with you.”

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/Cobra1977.jpghttp://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/Viper.jpghttp://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/MarvinEarnest.jpg

The screen cut to a pre-recorded segment set in a dimly-lit basement. Lawrence Grove, standing beside Cobra and Viper, seemed understandably spooked. “Ummm, well fans, apparently the Crimson Serpent Cult has something to say. I’ll turn it over to them.” Cobra glared at Grove as if eyeing his next meal while Viper merely stroked the red and black python slithering around the grim den. “For the lassst ssseveral weeksss,” Cobra hissed, “fansss have asssked usss who thisss ‘He’ isss. He is greater than anyone in TWL. He underssstandsss Cobra and I. He hasss brought usss back to the darknessss…to embraccce the shadowsss. The Crimssson Ssserpent Cult isss dead. We are onccce again the Black Ssserpent Cult! And when the time hasss come, we will reveal to all who ‘He’ isss.” C+

“Them snakes is really messed in the head, ain’t they Lawrence?”

“Sure are, Stampy, sure are. Speaking of not right in the head, our next match features Texas Outlaw Floyd ‘F-Bomb Bowman taking on the physically-dominant Pain!”

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/WarlordPain_jhdAJ2.jpg VS http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/FloydBowmn.jpg

Pain v. Floyd ‘F-Bomb’ Bowman

Billy’s Take: Bowman came out first, spitting and cursing at the fans as he made his way to the ring. When Pain came out, a few very intense fans stood on their seats and cheered. He apparently has a very dedicated following among some of our fans! The match itself was about what you’d expect from these two. Pain used raw power and Bowman his ravenous thirst for violence to create a really entertaining brawl. Bowman managed to corner Pain and punch him repeatedly in the neck before the monster responded with a forearm shiver that sent Bowman reeling. In the end, Pain reversed a Salute ‘n Boot by shoving Bowman away and then pulling closer into position for the Pain Killer (his inverted piledriver maneuver). After that move, the pinfall was academic.

As Pain went to leave the ring, a familiar face appeared on the ramp. Professor Nero, flanked by Demon Anger and Demon Spite, came down to the ring, staring holes in Pain. Nero took the microphone while his mohawked bodyguards stood stock still. “For over a year Pain,” he began in a very deep, somber voice, “you and I have been at each other’s throats. We have battled inside the ring and out. But when this war ends, when the dust settles, I – Professor Nero – will be the last…man…standing.” His eyes glazed over and suddenly his gaze slackened. “The Wicked Witch is dead. Long live the Wonderful Wizard of Oz!” His eyes fluttered and he regained his composure. Professor Nero is insane, and the crowd absolutely despises him for it! B

“What a bizarre individual! I’m not sure what to make of that bloodthirsty Intelligent Monster!”

“Well Lawrence, I’ve been in the ring with Nero enough to know that he is never predictable. Just when you think you’ve got a handle on ‘em, he changes the game. Well fans, now we’ve got a real humdinger as our six-man main event is up next. Let’s head down to the ring!”

Chief Two Eagles/The Masked Patriot/Trailer Park Kid w/Debbie Dallas v. Cheatin’ Mike Barstow/Black Serpent Cult (Cobra/Viper)

Billy’s Take: The crowd was hot for this match, particularly when Chief Two Eagles faced off against his former protégés – Cobra and Viper. I did my best to keep the peace – the writhing burlap-sack protected snake wriggling in the corner did not help my concentration. But in the end, the chaos in the ring was simply too much to keep inside the squared circle and the battle spilled to the floor. Despite my admonitions, all six men battled outside the ring and I was forced to call for the bell, ending the match in a double count out!

Chief Two Eagles/Masked Patriot/Trailer Park Kid drew Barstow/Black Serpent Cult after a double count-out

Match Rating: B-

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/ChiefTwoEagles1977_alt.jpghttp://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/TheMaskedPatriot.jpghttp://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/MikeyMontana.jpghttp://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/CheatinMikeBarstow.jpghttp://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/Cobra1977.jpghttp://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii147/ajcrible/Texas%20Wrestling/Viper.jpg

Despite repeatedly ringing the bell, the brawl between Chief Two Eagles, the Masked Patriot, Trailer Park Kid, Cheatin’ Mike Barstow, Cobra, and Viper, continued unabated. Chief seemed to get the better of a brawl with Cobra, though Barstow’s timely intervention allowed the heels to pummel the TWL champ. As the brawl spilled out into the stands, cameras cut back to the commentary booth with Lawrence Grove and the Lone Star Stampeder. B+

“What a night of action!” Lawrence spoke enthusiastically into his microphone.

“Couldn’t ‘a said it better myself. Well fans, sorry to say that we’re out of time. Be sure to tune in next week for another exciting episode of Texas Wrestling. Until then, good night and God bless Texas!”

Today Stampy, Mike, and I had our weekly booking meeting. It was really no more or less interesting than any other that we have had as of late, but I thought it good form to write down what our 'typical' meetings look like. As per usual, Mike (Professor Nero) set out long-term plans. He emphasized the need to build up the six-man belts and stop devaluing them on our shows. He likes the Pain Hunters as a team, but determined that we needed to build up more strong three-man teams going forward.

Stampy asked my thoughts on my 'pet project' Artie Goldstein. I am happy with his progress so far, though we aren't doing him any favors by putting him with Lee Wright and Tommy Handell who are, by all accounts, near the bottom of the pile so far as our tag teams are concerned. But he is getting good heat from the live crowds who despise his Wall Street-esque, fast-talking, lawyer persona. We need to find him some better (or at least more popular) workers to play off.

We ended our meeting with discussions about the TWL Title scene and a perceived lack of legitimate challengers for Chief Two Eagles. Two names popped up as potential (though somewhat 'dark horse') challengers. The three of us worked out a storyline that should stretch us through the summer involving these two individuals and ultimately parlay the Chief into a more active role with a group of associates. We will have to see how the crowd reacts, but on the surface seems like a fresh, new approach to TWL.

In any case, it was a quality meeting and, at least in my estimation, worth a quick entry in my trusty notebook. Up next, I'll run down the card for the next episode of Texas Wrestling. Until then, good night and...oh man, I'm beginning to sound like Stampy!!

Texas Wrestling once again is primed for a terrific show. Here are the matches announced so far!

Giant Grimsley v. Professor Nero

The immovable force versus the sadistic object. Is the pure evil hatred harnassed by Professor Nero enough to overcome the overwhelming size advantage of Giant Grimsley?

Captain USA v. Cheatin' Mike Barstow

Captain USA has become a fan favorite in his short time here, leading the crowd in patriotic chants. But will the support of the fans be enough to defeat the master of menace, Cheatin' Mike Barstow?

Team America (Chief Two Eagles/The Masked Patriot) v. Warsaw Pact (Comrade Popinowski/Panzer) w/Sheik Mustafa

The ultimate Cold War grudge match. Can Team America rely on the strength of democracy against the evil clutches of Communism and Facism? Or will the foreigners win the day?

TWL Six-Man Title Match: Pain Hunters (Pain/Croup/Vandemar) © v. Texas Outlaws (Johnny Lawless/Mean Mark Green/Floyd 'F-Bomb' Bowman)

The TWL Six-Man titles have been passed back and forth between the Pain Hunters and the Disciples of Evilness in the past several months. Will the Outlaws be able to capture the gold or can the Pain Hunters retain the belts for another day?

Quick Picks:

Giant Grimsley v. Professor Nero

Captain USA v. Cheatin' Mike Barstow

Team America (Chief Two Eagles/The Masked Patriot) v. Warsaw Pact (Comrade Popinowski/Panzer) w/Sheik Mustafa
