[- SWF -]: "The Incessant Need for Supremacy"

Recommended Posts

Is the partner "Devine" or "Platinum"? ;)

Without over-selling it all, as I'm excited to get them off the ground, I think it's going to be an epic team. With that said, not necissarily because his partner is that amazing in the ring. It's more about the characters than anything in this case. :D

Great work so far. Looking forward to the next show.

Here are my predictions

Squeeky McClean vs. Steve Frehley

I feel Frehley will beat Squeeky here, possibly with Vengeance making an appearance.

The Amazing Bumfholes vs. Frederique Antonio Garcia & ?????

Gonna go with Frederique and his mystery partner here, mainly because he is Fabulous but also because the current Tag Champs are faces and a new heel team could make for an interesting feud.

Captain Atomic vs. Greg Black vs. Joe Sexy vs. Lobster Warrior vs. Marc DuBois vs. Runaway Train

I'll go with Black on this one as a shot at Brandon James could be interesting, Black being a lightweight going against the powerhouse that is Brandon James.

Jack Bruce & Rich Money vs. Marat Khoklov

I think Bruce & Money will win here but by DQ, either Khoklov losing conrol and being DQ'd or Eisen inserting himself into the match.

If they can make the greatest ever tag team (Flex & Pecs) look like child's play, I'm even more excited and if a jhd1 alt is involved it will add to this awesome team (They are awesome because F.A.G is in it, regardless of partner)

Agreed. I'm a huge fan of Frederique; as I believe he's often overlooked despite being a great character. I use to love booking 'flex and pecs' but, at this point, the new tandem speaks better to his current character. Again, thanks to jhd1, this tandem will have a chance to see light. Without his work, I probably wouldn't have ever bought into their pairing (as you'll see).

Great work so far. Looking forward to the next show.

Thank you, Spud! It's much appreciated to hear. The next show will, definitely, be one for the ages; at least in my mind. ha.

Angel!

Good to see you within the thread. Also, I'm looking forward to whatever feedback you drum up as you're insight is always appreciated. Either way, I hope your haitus did the trick. I know, exactly, how that goes and often take little mental breaks within the week where I don't even think about the diary. That way, I don't get overrun like in previous diaries (ie: X-WA, DOA, 4C, etc.).

Steve has more upside.

The Amazing Bumfholes vs. Frederique Antonio Garcia & ?????

You seem to make the also-rans, the wrestlers that people do not care about, into interesting characters. I think this will be your first step into making F.A.G. into an interesting character.

Captain Atomic vs. Greg Black vs. Joe Sexy vs. Lobster Warrior vs. Marc DuBois vs. Runaway Train

You seem to be high on Greg Black. That being said I personally would rather see Joe get the win here as he is my favorite in the SWF.

Jack Bruce & Rich Money vs. Marat Khoklov

You have actually made me care about Marat. I mean he still sucks but you have made him interesting.

You have actually made me care about Marat. I mean he still sucks but you have made him interesting.

Yea, he does suck pretty bad from an in-ring perspective; however, he's 'golden' from a character standpoint. What is better than a raging, destructive, and unpredictably violent Russian who can't speak English and appears as if he, himself, is taking over the world? I mean, it's pretty much Rocky IV all over again. haha.

His limited in-ring ability has been a struggle though as I really want to focus on him (as I have with this main event match); however, fear the grade outcome of such matches. I mean, you can only book so many 'B' grade shows before, I'm sure, the company will lose popularity. ha. With that said, as the new 'life insurance' for Eric Eisen, it's expected that Khoklov will continue to be a MAJOR player in the SWF main event scene!

Also, it's good to know that I can still carry the same ability (making people really feel for characters they normally wouldn't) even in the SWF. I'll be honest, at first, the SWF roster scared me a little. These guys are all the 'cream of the crop'; people already have their minds made up as to HOW these people probably act/react. So, taking on such a project seemed like 'literary suicide'; in a way. That said, I'm feeling pretty happy with how Khoklov, Faith, Gilmore, Remo, Frederique, Emma/Brandon, Joe Sexy, etc. have come together thus far. With time, I hope to have the entire roster 'come to life'.

Cheers.

Well, I caught up with this over a day or two, somehow missed it starting up. Pretty entertaining shows so far and I really like the bios that you've been doing for the characters. No guarantees as to how often I'll do predictions, but I'll be reading, keep it up.

Thank you, Rayelek! It's much appreciated to hear from you.

Yea, the 'random supreme superstar' posts are great ways for me as a writer to better convey the characters as they are. This way, it forces me to really sit down and analyze each persona; making it easier, in turn, to write shows as I already have an idea of how they would act, react, and the small mannerisms that go with their persona. I haven't had a chance to write them up as much lately due to the overwhelming write up that was 'When Hell freezes over'; however, I plan on getting back to it before this next show gets posted (which will be a bit from now). If anyone has any characters, in mind, that they would like to see then feel free to leave behind a thought. If not that, I'll flip a coin and try to find someone to focus on.

As for predictions vs. reading. Honestly, predictions are nice, yes; however, they are not always needed. If you want to stay in the loop and predict as much as possible; awesome! (Especially seeing how we have the 'Awesome Impact' challenge going for steady predictors). If not, then that's totally cool too. More or less, I just like to know that there are people out their reading the project all together. A simple 'hey, this is what I'm thinking' is always cool to recieve. It doesn't even need to be a 'Hey, I love this!". I'm not one to shy away from talking through WHY I booked a show a certain way, what my plans were (without giving away too much detail), etc. I guess, what I'm trying to say, is that I want this 'SWF Novel' to be just as much about those who love reading SWF diaries interacting with it versus just me spewing for information.

All in all, thanks for the kind words, Rayelek!

Cheers.

13 predictions thus far; very cool! Thank you to all of those who came back and left behind your thoughts, reactions, etc., as well. It's great to know that there are others out there who genuinely enjoy my vision for the SWF!

Synopsis:
Brandon James, is quite possibly, the most radically-evolved character in the last 10 years. While wrestling under DaVE’s rebellious banner, James was often likened to an aggressive predator, much like a cat, looking to devour it’s prey. He was quick to action, violent in his bursts, and all together dangerous as an explosive fighter with, what seemed to be, limitless energy. While the ‘overly intense’ demeanor had been played time and time again within the Pro Wrestling industry, see Jim Force in the 90’s, James was able to deliver something unique to the overall gimmick: Fusing this explosive approach with that of the beautiful nostalgia that is pure kayfabe personas (ie: Big Cat Brandon). Funny enough, you would think such a fusion would truly ‘bomb’ within a company as smark-skewed as the little hardcore company that could; however, the advanced fanbase was able to look past the campiness of typical kayfabery & embrace the fighter for who he really was: A hard-nosed, intense, brawler with a need to please.

Fast forward a few years in the future and now that intensely furious ‘Cat’ has become an all-business, suit wearing, ‘yes mam’ for the cold, and calculating, businesswoman in Emma Chase. Gone are the days of the fiery, almost primal-like, fighting as it’s now been replaced with a much more slow-paced, heavy-handed, approach toward physical annihilation. In a way, some have labeled Brandon as a true ‘sell-out’; saying that he’s now become a ‘slave’ to Emma’s demands. However, for James, ‘selling out’ is what brought him the greatest level of success amongst the rest of the DaVE fallouts. While his in-ring style, and all around persona, is truly different in nature, his newest “Big Money” persona has brought forth a lot of success within “The Land of Supreme”.

Carrying a strictly business approach to wrestling, James is now a bona fide professional. No longer needing to rely on, what Emma claimed to be, ‘Cheap thrills’ in which to be loved by the fans. Now, as a full fledged competitor, Mr. James has found a refined nature that often accompanies that of a secret service agent; a position that many liken the “Big Money” persona too as he appears to simply work in favor of Emma.

The ‘Cat’ is dead… but the violence still remains. Only now, said violence resonates from a much more calculating, more emotionless, fighter versus the kayfabe warrior that once ‘pounced’ upon the competition.

+ An exert from Johnathan Young's most recent wrestling column...

Johnathan Young is THE most respected independent wrestling voice on the Internet; today!<hr color="grey">

“I know he just took over the reigns but is it too early to wish for Jerry Eisen’s demotion as headbooker of the SWF? In the most glaring display of nepotism this industry has EVER seen, ‘Tricky Dick’s’ eldest boy has done nothing but prove that he’s not equip to ‘steer the ship’ on a weekly basis. I mean, Supreme TV has gone from a beacon of entertainment to that of a mindless collection of random crap. Honestly!! A damn gorilla could have booked better segments than this guy! They may be still beating TCW in the ratings but it will only be a matter of time before ole ‘Jer buries his Father’s empire six-feet under. With Jack Bruce reportedly not happy with his recent decisions, as well as a slew of wrestlers unhappy with the limited investment he’s shown to them, it shows that even those behind the curtain are already growing tired of his gutter-inspired act!

Let me be the first to say it loud and proud…

Mr. Eisen…

FIRE YOUR SON!

YOUR COMPANY DEPENDS ON IT!!"

I was informed of Johnathan Young’s viewpoint late Tuesday morning as we closed our final production meeting for the Supreme TV telecast set for later that night. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t truly aware of who he even was at the time; however, shortly after his description I had already began to zone out. I was told that he is an ‘Internet Wrestling Insider’; supposedly the most respected independent wrestling voice on the circuit. With that said, such a claim is simply laughable. Respected? Internet Wrestling Columnist? Those two phrases do not go hand in hand. Truthfully, He was just another ‘smark’ rambling his mouth off as if he knew something; when in reality, he knows absolutely nothing.

This is why I hate the modern wrestling fan as they are all suffering from the same, mentally debilitating, illness…

Smark Psychosis

It’s plagued a large portion of supposed ‘wrestling fans’ and continually inspires mentally deranged individuals to litter the internet with mounds of heaping literary diarrhea. Men who still live with their mothers, haven’t had a job in 5 years, and still believe that wrestling should be the same ‘prodding’ crap that put most to sleep in the 80’s; these are the virus-laden losers within the fray. Regardless of your efforts, They will crap on anything you attempt. Regardless of your knowledge, they will simply demote you as ‘unable to really get the job done’. They’ll claim to know all the answers when, in reality, they know nothing more than conjuring up extensive stories that they’ve creepily constructed in their heads… Claiming to be experts when, in reality, again, they’re more closer to mental patients than actual masters of this trade.

Does it annoy me that such a tone is starting to form on the internet; the whole ‘Fire Jerry Eisen’ push? No. Why would it? These same nimrods who speak of my inability to book the SWF are the same losers who would fall flat on their faces if given the chance to do the same. Who are THEY to say that I don’t know what I’m doing? The smark mentality is killing this industry from the outside in and I, for one, will do nothing to abide by their militia-like ways.

My Father knows that I’m the right man for the job. He understands true genius when he sees it. So, with that said, I’ll continue to do my job; pushing the SWF to a whole other level as we climb closer to the ‘Global’ mark. Meanwhile, these pathetic fools will continue to fill the internet with absolute garbage; preying upon the even bigger fools who actually believe them to be ACTUAL experts.

Change my ways? I laugh at the notion.

I’m an Eisen. I don’t change for anyone.

Good stuff so far. You've done a great job of creating your own feel for the SWF. I'll be honest, I tend to always shy away from using Eisen's company but you've done a great job of making it an interesting read. Everything feels to really 'pop'.

Hats off to you and the time you put into this one. We all benefit from your hard work.

At this point, I only have two more segments to write; so, I'm expecting to get through that at some point in the next few days! More or less, the show is really coming together as one of the better 'top-to-bottom' shows in my short tenure with the SWF.
